hahaha - great title! i like his bracelets. they don't look like a fashion accessory, they look like something he never takes off.

Blogger Antonio Barros said ... (5:38 PM) :

Great suit!!!

Anonymous Justine said ... (5:42 PM) :

But it can be sexy

Blogger Em said ... (5:47 PM) :

who thought a young guy could look good with a walking stick

http://reverie-em.blogspot.com/

Blogger saradowle said ... (5:49 PM) :

Wow... he looks so suave. I love the top button up/no tie combination, and navy! Great!

Anonymous léo Teste said ... (5:50 PM) :

PERFECT!

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:54 PM) :

Well done Peskowitz

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:01 PM) :

I love the clean lines of this outfit.

I've got to say, though, the title made me a little disappointed - it kind of takes a mocking tone to the man's potential disability.

Anonymous Holly said ... (6:05 PM) :

It might not be easy but you can still look great while you are limping! He looks amazing!

Blogger Disneyrollergirl.net said ... (6:13 PM) :

Amazing. The suit + the agenda + the bracelets (can you call them bracelets?)... fab photo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:15 PM) :

hey, that's what's his name from "in the closet"

Blogger southerngentinL.A. said ... (6:21 PM) :

Yup. It's hard out there for a gimp! Good work Sart!

Blogger Alicja said ... (6:24 PM) :

He looks great in this suit (colour is perfect), but I'm not convinced of the walking stick.

Blogger Montague The Monocle said ... (6:28 PM) :

I never see any bad comments on this blog. There are a few details of what he's wearing that I do like (the contrast of his leather bound agenda and the pocket square). But the fit of his double breasted jacket is to wide in the middle for my taste (unless its the shadow from the left arm casting unsightly proportions). Im hoping he's posing for the picture because if his normal posture is what's exhibited here, then he'll never look good in a suit jacket with the buckling of fabric behind the lapel. All in all I hope he has on some monk straps that match his agenda in hand. The walking stick makes his outfit costume-y, like he's TRYING to be cool.

Blogger The Glamorous Housewife said ... (6:50 PM) :

I am very happily married, but that guy is HOT!

Thanks doll,
The Glamorous Housewife

Blogger Matt said ... (6:53 PM) :

He looks great, which absolutely makes for a nice image. But if he doesn't need the cane it seems like such an affectation. Kinda undermines all the stuff that he's doing right, in my opinion.

Blogger JouJou Loves You said ... (6:58 PM) :

Say what you like...he looks phenomenal....great scruff...great accessories, I don't even care WHY he is carrying a cane...its sexy...and the color of the suit is perfect.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:09 PM) :

Why is Josh limping? What type of sunglasses are those, anyone know?

Blogger Daphne said ... (7:11 PM) :

Your title made me actually laugh out loud. Mainly because the play on words works even better thanks to his posture! Love the bag, bracelet, angle of the sunglasses, lack of tie, tiny bit of pocket square, lapel size. I mean...just beautiful. Not to mention the colour of the suit.

Blogger The Sartorialist said ... (7:11 PM) :

Josh broke his foot so he is neithr faking or disabled.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:16 PM) :

I'm in agreement with Mr Monocle. He does seem to try too hard to be hip. The buttoned top button with no tie is decidedly last week and frankly the rasta bracelet is disconcerting.

-Pietro

Blogger Matt said ... (7:16 PM) :

Well now that I know that I can say that he looks great and has a pretty stylish cane.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:23 PM) :

I like the leather wrist straps with the suit. I've been doing this and it brings a bit of earthiness and a casual air to a more formal look. (I don't know, however, about the handbag, unless he's from Italy.)

Blogger Adam said ... (7:29 PM) :

pulls off the cane too well! such a rich colour for suiting, complemented by the leather diary and 'futurtistic sunnies'!

Blogger Samantha said ... (7:29 PM) :

haha, i love the title as well as suit

Anonymous davidsl said ... (7:44 PM) :

i very often have to use a cane because of chronic gout. i'd love to find a cane that looks so good and can stand up to actual use. i don't mind his buttoned up shirt without a tie. the pocket square kind of makes up for the lack of tie. i hope his shoes match his bag/agenda thingy. that would really make this outfit sing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:52 PM) :

One of the best looks you've shot.

Blogger Stefan Semblance said ... (8:05 PM) :

the high neckline/cut of the lapel of this jacket is divine! where could i find something like that?
http://www.thesemblance.blogspot.com

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:18 PM) :

if he needs a nurse, I be happy to offer my services.

Blogger najee said ... (8:37 PM) :

Peskowitz,You look dashing in that Dries Suit.

http://tresfraisnajee.blogspot.com/

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:16 PM) :

love the cane. i firmly believe confidence is the most important aspect of any outfit. he's definitely not shy about it. boom.

Anonymous Marcus F said ... (9:19 PM) :

good to finally see some color with the pocket square, not just the normal crisp white.

Blogger DENNI said ... (9:39 PM) :

ELEGANT AND STYLISH. LOVE IT!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:03 PM) :

Is that Josh Peskowitz (spelling?) from GQ?

Anonymous Julie A-B said ... (10:22 PM) :

I just fell in love. This guy and his outfit are delicious. Thanks!

Blogger Nat said ... (10:26 PM) :

PIMP DON'T LIMP

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:59 PM) :

Lookin FRESH. I wonder what's up with the cane? It looks awesome as a fashion accessory but judging from his posture it looks like he actually needs it.

Blogger hi-d said ... (12:24 AM) :

He looks great!

Blogger James Jean said ... (12:45 AM) :

To Montague, if you want to see the rest of his outfit, I have it on my blog as well from that day. I thought he looked rather cool and casual but I'll agree on the 90's width on the lapels......

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:46 AM) :

looks like pesko got the dries double breasted suit after all ... (agree about the bracelets - molto figo)

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (12:52 AM) :

how very refined

i wonder if the outfit needed a cane

or if the cane needed an outfit

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:57 AM) :

nice JOSH!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:05 AM) :

His name is Josh Peskowitz, and he is, your right, from "In the Closet". Great man, with a great style. And my applause to the photographer. Grrrrreat shot Scott.

Anonymous Vanessa said ... (1:13 AM) :

"Limpin' ain't easy?" Sart, you made a funny. Cute :-)

Anonymous Kaos Distro said ... (4:02 AM) :

I'm speechless.. Nice style dude!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:07 AM) :

Great look, in blue navy you go everywhere. This all-buttoned-no-tie style makes him special.
I really miss the shoes, though i can imagine it.
My poor english prevents me to catch the play on words in the headline. Will someone help me?

Anonymous wrinkledrose said ... (7:56 AM) :

He exudes such suaveness! I actually do like the way the lapels made him look more structured.

Blessedbe,

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:50 AM) :

Sorry, i may be old-fashioned, but it needs a tie.

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (9:10 AM) :

Wonderful outfit, although I would unbutton the shirt, or wear a tie. LOVE the agenda. Jorge from WPB

Blogger Allen - East Hampton said ... (10:04 AM) :

Very sharp.
...and Godspeed

Anonymous Priscilla Joy said ... (11:58 AM) :

COOL

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:42 PM) :

Your title with the image made me laugh. Thanks!

Anonymous Dani said ... (1:43 PM) :

For those of you who asked about the sunglasses- they are the Zooey by Oliver Peoples!

http://www.oliverpeoples.com/shop/women/zooey.html

These frames are a must & always in style!

Blogger green lantern said ... (1:57 PM) :

He looks well put together for a guy on a cane. His look is not overdone to contradict the fact that he has a limiting physicality (is that a word?) If he was dandy-ish looking the cane wouldn't be believable. Coordinated, minimilistic, tight, self contained...sweeeettt!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:22 PM) :

I want canes to come back. Carrying a cane would be great.

Blogger Simo said ... (3:34 PM) :

Yep ''In The Closet''
Josh Peskowitz
This guy have a style

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (3:47 PM) :

I am partial to the buttoned-up shirt, small collar, with no tie look. It's so Eastern European intelligent.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:53 PM) :

Josh Peskowitz is so awesome! Even as an invalid, he's stylin'! Oh- and the classic Wayfarers ROCK!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:19 PM) :

THATS MY CAR ON THE LEFT!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:19 PM) :

isnt he the guy from men.style.com? Josh i think?

he looks good and it doesnt hurt that hes sexy so sexy!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:24 PM) :

this guy is hot - he rocks that cane!!

Anonymous Scoob said ... (12:53 AM) :

Ironically, the walking stick, and the bracelets kind of make his whole outfit.

Blogger Mark M Skiba said ... (4:48 AM) :

This shot reminded me of an awful morning where I was forced to limp around NY for a day after injuring my foot. I had to resort to buying emergency crutches and birkenstocks. Though practical, neither item carried me along my shopping journey down 5th Ave with as much panache as this gentleman!

Anonymous StyFy said ... (8:52 AM) :

I think it would be great if canes came back in style! Perfect man accessory.

Blogger Sarah M said ... (11:57 AM) :

Very handsome -- looking for this swag in a man!

Anonymous Marisa said ... (12:26 PM) :

for those who obviously never heard of handicapped people, have you ever thought about, that he might need that walking stick? That it's no fashion item?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:36 PM) :

He is the "In the closed" teacher.

Anonymous karina miatantri said ... (8:53 PM) :

this was the first time i laugh on reading a title in your blog. congratulations on the book..

Blogger Sunny Fong said ... (12:16 AM) :

Ya know, they're really bad over there at Mens Style.com about updating their In The Closet videos.

Also, I find he always wears new stuff all the time. Just once, I want to see him sexy disheveled.

http://sunnyfong.wordpress.com/

Blogger Montague The Monocle said ... (9:39 PM) :

@Marissa...canes for the purpose of an injured limb, sure. But in this instance, and this being solely a style blog, I believe Scott shot this as an acknowledgement of his cane as more of working accessory to his outfit, not as a temporary aid for his bipedal movement. I like the IDEA of his outfit, but the execution (even if his posture a direct result of his injury) still leaves little to be desired by The Monocle.

@JFK Jean...Does this guy have on a special shoe for a hurt foot?

Montague out.

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:31 PM) :

Josh, get better, ok...

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:41 PM) :

Peskowitz - one of my favorite commenters and writers of fashion. Hope the men.style.com team finds very good homes, really like them.

Blogger D. Brown said ... (6:20 PM) :

I knew this was the guy from styledotcom

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:50 AM) :

sexy guy! where was he when they filed Sex and the City?!

love that fact that despite limping, it's more important that his inner strength outshines the outer limit. He oozes confidence. That reminds me of the cover shoot lady of "The SARTORIALIST" book.

Blogger Sandar said ... (5:03 PM) :

Look, it's Ben Affleck as Matt Murdock/Daredevil!
