I love his shoes!!! And the color of the soles really makes them pop

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:20 PM) :

Nobody does it better. That shoe string makes me nervous - I hope he doesn't trip on it as it looks rather long. not sure about the facial hair....love the blues interacting with one another.

Blogger Shannon Lambert said ... (9:38 PM) :

Am I wrong in saying he seems to me a stylish version of Ned Flanders?

Love the blues! Especially those amazing shoes. Such a simple shoe with a great color, changes it completely.

Blogger muranogirl said ... (9:41 PM) :

Rhapsody in blue!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:45 PM) :

How weird! Ham and I are rocking the mustache at the same time! Coincidence? Ha! Never. That style thief... jk. He looks very dapper.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:49 PM) :

wow, only hamish can make casual look cool

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:00 PM) :

BLUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. like the shoes the most. the striped shirt second most. is that a sweater around his neck? too maury povich makeover for my tastes but works for him i guess!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:06 PM) :

I like whatever it is around Hamish's neck.

However, the mustache adds about 35 years to his appearance.

Blogger Eu said ... (10:10 PM) :

Can honestly say this is one of the nicest guys in the business- love the subtleness of the stripes

Blogger Amy said ... (10:20 PM) :

Blogger Scot Meacham Wood said ... (10:53 PM) :

wow, that's a shockingly understated outfit for the usually 'peacock-like' Mr. Bowles.

Very nicely done. subtle and spectacular.

What makes this for me, other than the beautiful blues, is the composition notebook.

Blogger Laguna Beach Fogey said ... (12:56 AM) :

Great photo, Sart. Mr. Bowles certainly loves blue, doesn't he? I love the vibrant blue of the jumper/shirt around his shoulders! I still think he looks like Jeff Foxworthy.

Anonymous Pietman said ... (3:28 AM) :

It goes without saying mr Bowles is a stylish man. This time though, too much color co-ordination.

If you think he looks good you should see his apt.

Anonymous Holly said ... (5:36 AM) :

He's such a cutie...I love the entire presence of his happy go lucky style!

Anonymous caspar said ... (7:03 AM) :

considering the popularity of this blog i find it surprising to hear almost nothing but praise. people seem to think "sart shot it - must be good". i find that rather unfortunate. also i think posting mediocre outfits takes away from the people who really dress well and get their picture taken.

Anonymous Dennis Elzinga said ... (7:54 AM) :

He wears jeans?
How chic can casual be?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:56 AM) :

Ned Flanders without the abs!!!!

Nice to see HB in mufti for a change. Is this how he dresses when he thinks no one is looking?...

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:25 AM) :

The shoes seem pretty Lanvinish to me, though...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:39 AM) :

I like those jeans, does anyone know what kind of jeans those are?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:37 AM) :

This post makes me jealous of men, because their footwear can be amazing and unique and yet its never painful. Not fair. I own an array of flats but I never feel my best in them. He obviously feels pretty good in his!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:10 AM) :

those shoes are superb!

Blogger Mira Vales said ... (8:19 AM) :

not sure about the jeans.(

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:26 AM) :

The whole outfit is so great that I guess I can say "ok, ok stay with your mustache".

Anonymous margot said ... (12:54 PM) :

love him, love the outfit, love the shoes, miss Vogue Living US, dislike the 'stache.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:47 PM) :

Respond to gals who doesnt like HB moustashe: -
Did you ever try to kiss a man with them???

- if you did, you have to know the difference from the kiss of clean shaved man, and you wont go for shaved one anymore...

if not yet - it worth to try at least once!
HB is HOT!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:10 PM) :

The shoes!! THE SHOES!!!!

Blogger Tim McFarlane said ... (7:31 PM) :

The shoes rock!

Anonymous ronan the librarian said ... (12:09 AM) :

Hamish looks like Harold Nicolson with his moustache...a friend of mine's mother used to say "kissing a man without a moustache is like like eating an egg without salt"...

Blogger Mihaela Stoica said ... (7:06 AM) :

Great shoes! They do it all.

Blogger Jill said ... (8:34 AM) :

How nice to see him smiling! He always looks rather serious when you've shot him before. I'm in awe of his pattern / color choices usually; this is very basic to me but he looks so happy I can't ding him for it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:18 AM) :

Hamish Bowles in normal attire. Whodathunk?
He looks good, but the moustache isn't flattering, alas.

Anonymous davidsl said ... (11:04 AM) :

love the shoes. not sure about the sweater as cape over a jacket, though. great color combo.

Anonymous jimjam said ... (4:35 AM) :

He once said in the Dutch magazine - denim special

"DENIM? WOULDN'T BE CAUGHT DEAD".......

I wonder if he remembers this remark and I am pleased that he's finally given in and given his denim that public airing.....

Anonymous You Frivolous Mommy! said ... (5:07 PM) :

the one and only.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:42 PM) :

If you ever publish a second book (and especially if it was a mens only edition) *hint* this would HAVE to go on the cover!!!!

Anonymous Max said ... (2:34 PM) :

I HAVE THESE SHOES IN TWO COLORS! I have them in gray with a patent gray toe, and black with a matte black toe! So great! I bought them at two consecutive annual Steven Alan sample sales. Hehe.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:37 PM) :

I'm so glad I wasn't the only person who thought "that's Ned Flanders!"

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:32 PM) :

I think he looks like Ned Flanders LOL :P
