I'm just loving the bright, bold, fun colour! It's doing amazing here in S.A

SIMPLE AND STILL CHIC AND ELEGANT.
LOVE IT!

the details always make the outfit work. her look is interesting without being over the top. love the tied belt.

Anonymous Elaine said ... (9:44 AM) :

The effect of the light and shading on her dress is wonderful. I like the colors of her satchel, shoes and book she is carrying. She has beautiful hair and eyebrows. I do not like her belt. The woman to the left looks interesting, also. The graffiti on the building is complemented by the white stripes on the sidewalk.

Blogger Joan said ... (9:55 AM) :

I love the colors here... I don't often see this sort of palette on others!

Anonymous Sophie, the Barton Girl said ... (9:56 AM) :

I adore that Marni dress! And she wears it so well.

Blogger Barry said ... (10:31 AM) :

I appreciate the recent set of images showing folks with ordinary bodies and extraordinary senses of style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:31 AM) :

Very cool bracelets!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:32 AM) :

the belt makes it all, love how she tied it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:34 AM) :

Thanks for displaying these individual style choices. More interesting than the pictures of people wearing the latest trends.

Anonymous JohnAgeeParis said ... (10:48 AM) :

An easy, comfortable riff on "ethnic", "boho". Nicely put together, and it really suits her well.

Blogger Hanna Persson said ... (10:51 AM) :

I love the colours!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:53 AM) :

Gloria looks happy & comfortable in her skin, clothes, boyfriend belt and her environment. I love people who are comfortable; when they are, their whole body exudes happiness with the world!

Adore this! A simple brown belt surprisingly lifts so many outfits.

Wow--another great shot of someone who is not 20 in 14-inch heels! THANK YOU, love this woman's style--genius!

Blogger Pearl Bhasin said ... (11:09 AM) :

LOVE the belt treatment!

For me with Gloria, it's all about the individual pieces. I always love everything, separately. I am sure what inspires you about her is just the opposite, the way she puts things together, but for me, it is always a little bit off!

Anonymous KP said ... (11:47 AM) :

I saw you taking this picture, I was in a hurry and could not stop, but walked backwards on 11th for a bit to watch you in action, at the risk of tripping ! I love the rapport you create with your subjects, and about Gloria, love, love, love the mix of prints, and how she looks so natural, yet bold...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:45 PM) :

lovely. and i too wear my dad's old belt like that. i thought it was sentimental.

Blogger Fashion Illusion said ... (1:03 PM) :

Wow!!! What a great look!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:04 PM) :

i am just another one of the thousands of people who love and appreciate your work, scott, but i think it is important that you know that nobody does what you do quite as well.
you don't just capture fashion, you capture art.

Blogger Wanderlusting said ... (1:12 PM) :

I like this...the absence of heels is refreshing, she looks happy, the colour is brilliant and the dress is comfy without being TOO casual. Best this week!

What a great way to wear a belt! I love her colorful bracelets too.

Blogger Kasie said ... (1:36 PM) :

love how she tied the belt. Some how it works.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:41 PM) :

Forget tying the belt! Nice, weird, look.

Anonymous Cate said ... (3:05 PM) :

Nice shibori techniques going on...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:16 PM) :

Now this is more like it - a great sense of personal style (very difficult to pull off so many different colours and patterns) and someone who looks like she's wearing what she likes, not what she's supposed to be promoting. Well done.

Anonymous Hazoon said ... (3:32 PM) :

Love the color combination... she pulls it off so well.

Blogger Pat & Reg said ... (3:45 PM) :

Very nice! I love the colors and she looks completely unique and confident. These shots of individualists is where you really shine because you have such a great eye. Well done Mr. Schumam.

Anonymous Bibi in wonderland said ... (3:48 PM) :

Love the way she wears that belt and the mix of colors, love the smile, she seems so sweet!

Blogger tinselbait said ... (3:53 PM) :

She seems very Manhattan to me.

Anonymous greendress said ... (4:20 PM) :

I LOVE THIS LOOK. it's not just the colors, it's also that she looks so happy, so satisfied with life. she doesn't look as if she is posing and promoting a look (as someone said previously) but as if she is wearing what she loves and what makes her happy.

i wouldn't wear any of this the way she does, but i love the way she has put this together.

Anonymous ChervelleCamille said ... (4:34 PM) :

Simply Radiant!! Shows that aging is a beutiful thing, and once handled with care, can show life...

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:31 PM) :

Very nice, I like how she does her colors. And the belt tie is nice, put a little spin on a normal belt.

Blogger Obi said ... (5:37 PM) :

Is that Tracy Emin?

Blogger liz. said ... (5:56 PM) :

She looks absolutely radiant! And the colours the she's wearing together look amazing. Even the lovely belt looks so effortlessly chic tied around her waist.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:54 PM) :

I like the lady. She's feminine, confident and get this, surprise of all surprises to all self conscious fashion elitists, she's smiling a genuine smile! The best accessory of all.

Sensible yet feminine shoes, lovely colours on the dress which, inter alia, leaves a man lingering with a sense of mystery rather than a smack in the face with an eyeful of skin.

Lovely. Don't know who she is or what she does for a crust but she should know that she's lovely and has class. Someone send her an email or something.

I'm envious because I can never get my belts to loop quite right like that!

Anonymous Margo said ... (9:07 PM) :

fascinating comments. I at first just thought, oh that dress is too big, but after reading the comments, I am looking again and I agree: she looks good in her skin and her clothes, happy. So while I wouldn't wear what she's wearing, I think she does look great. I love this blog!

Blogger sofiasophie said ... (9:10 PM) :

quel chic!
and she looks smart & nice too!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:44 AM) :

Give me that dress! I want it NOW!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:24 PM) :

Isn't the dress too big?

Anonymous geoffrey said ... (4:41 AM) :

Love Gloria Baume from Teen Vogue. She looks like this most days and I live for it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:43 PM) :

WOW! Quirky and fun. Can't believe all those different pieces look so good together.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:56 PM) :

love the belt!
I'm so stealing that

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:31 PM) :

one of my all time favorites. bravo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:11 AM) :

why does everyone comment on whether they would wear it or not? you're not wearing it, she is. stop talking about yourself.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:21 AM) :

Why does everyone always comment whether they would wear it or not? You're not on Scott's blog, she is! No one cares what you would wear.
