like the shoes. she needs a belt though to cinch in her waist.

so sexy!

Anonymous Styleetbidous said ... (10:52 AM) :

Just love it! Color, lines... Very nice with these shoes...

Blogger Teresa @ good-grace said ... (10:56 AM) :

INteresting!! It *is* sexy, although it's also a little odd ... like, "really?". Still, I've gotta give her credit for being bold. :)

Anonymous greendress said ... (10:56 AM) :

i guess it's never windy in Milan?
no way she could trip over anything in those vertiginous heels?
she is sexy as is, but good god...

Blogger laweezil said ... (10:58 AM) :

It's wee wille winkie!

Blogger BobKentNoVa said ... (10:58 AM) :

This is proof that certain women can wear anything and make it look good.

Blogger Patrulla said ... (11:00 AM) :

I adore the contrast between the confortable big shirt and the high heels, it´s so femenine.

Blogger linda said ... (11:01 AM) :

Love the shoes!

Anonymous garciamadrid said ... (11:02 AM) :

very, very beautiful

Blogger Shannen Norman said ... (11:03 AM) :

great legs, great shoes, great concept. Not sure about the execution though :/

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:03 AM) :

perfection

Anonymous k. said ... (11:05 AM) :

I really don't like this. It's too messy. There really isn't anything there pulling it all together. I agree with Jaqueline -- I think she needed to cinch this or do something else accessory-wise!

Blogger Monica Aguinaga said ... (11:06 AM) :

so brave, love the shoes, and her attitude, of course. agree with Jacqueline, she could use a belt.

Blogger Miss Y. said ... (11:06 AM) :

The woman herself is gorgeous, but the dress doesn't work for me: it doesn't look like a wide shirt-dress, it looks just like she's put on her husbands shirt and forgot to put on pants...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:07 AM) :

love. so whimsical and carefreee

Anonymous Majsan said ... (11:09 AM) :

Wonderful shoes and lovely legs! The shirt should have been one coloured.

Blogger Emilie said ... (11:10 AM) :

WOW! Love it!

Anonymous Anni Hall said ... (11:21 AM) :

She makes this look so easy! Those golden legs and cute haircut... I cant wait for summer!

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:21 AM) :

Fashion, in my personal opinion, is an opportunity for everyone to artistically express how they hope to feel emotionally. As such, you should not be afraid to take a chance. With that said.....

....I'm enjoying the lines, oversized yet allowing a hint of scandalousness (if such a word would ever exist). There could be a very steamy story to go along with this, especially when you add the shoes to the equation.

Blogger RECIEN LLEGADA said ... (11:21 AM) :

Anonymous Un samedi... said ... (11:23 AM) :

Intéressant....!

Anonymous Beha said ... (11:24 AM) :

Nice idea, though I think she may seem a bit too undressed? A pair of tights might have done the trick.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:25 AM) :

Proof of the old adage, that on the right woman, even a gunny sack would look good. Fine.

Blogger Kat said ... (11:25 AM) :

Her dress does nothing for her figure. It reminds me of a giant parachute sail. But I do like her heels. Indeed, her outfit is very "bold."

Anonymous Pam said ... (11:26 AM) :

No matter what you use as you feel comfortable and sexy, everything but everything will look good on you.

Blogger Karoline said ... (11:34 AM) :

I love it! That big shirt is just perfect to shoes like that! I love contrasts.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:35 AM) :

No surprise that she's clutching the shirt-thing with her right hand...wind happens!

But I have to say, what is up with the shirt-and-no-pants trend this season? Sorry, but no. Just no.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:41 AM) :

I would have like to see her face, thats could have change what I actually think about this pic. Its really amazing, but its too risky, any heavy storm comming up, and shes undress... ok Ive fallen in love with her style but not with the risk that represents! btw Ive fallen in love with this new site, of lingerie:: http://www.vcdreams.com love it!!!!

Anonymous Sara said ... (11:41 AM) :

LUV the shoes..but one gust of wind and she's in serious trouble.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:41 AM) :

Do you think she may have been inspired by Michael from Peter Pan?

She can pull it off because she has fantastic legs. More power to her. I'm jealous.

Anonymous Hepburn said ... (11:46 AM) :

Great shot, great hair! All she needs is a belt to polish the look.
Winning accessory..the Marni envelope in her left hand

Blogger Thomas said ... (11:48 AM) :

makes you think but it really works...really works.

Anonymous suzanne nelson said ... (11:48 AM) :

Love the volume - the way it plays off her simple haircut and those fabulous shoes although I think it could do with another accessory, like a good bag.

Blogger the park said ... (11:53 AM) :

Love the silhouette as is, the beauty of this is in its simplicity.

Blogger LD said ... (11:53 AM) :

i love her shoes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:53 AM) :

smokin hot

Anonymous Alessandro said ... (11:59 AM) :

I don't think I would encourage anyone do walk out of the house in full daylight dressed like that and with such lovely physical attributes to display. She is sexy, no doubt; maybe, a little too sexy bordering on narcissistic and distracting enough to cause road accidents. Longer 'dress shirt', shorter heels would add some friendliness to the look; she'd be more approachable and meet a better kind of gentleman.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:59 AM) :

UHHHH THAT'S LLOVELY!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:00 PM) :

This seems like a fashionable walk of shame :P But seriously, she should have defined her waist a little bit more so it didn't look so "i borrowed my big ass boyfirends shirt". The shoes however make it somewhat work.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:01 PM) :

naw.

not digging it.

shirt too biiiig.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:02 PM) :

Are you behind this site?

http://artofthetrench.com/

That's what I heard today.

Anonymous Farnaz said ... (12:03 PM) :

Talk about stopping traffic.... Liking th shoes, but not so the shirt. I think a belt would help the, erm, 'ensemble'. :-P

Anonymous Kaitlyn said ... (12:04 PM) :

It needs a belt and the look would come together. I love those shoes

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:09 PM) :

Adorable!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:13 PM) :

She's pretty, sure, but I don't think this works. A stiff breeze and she'll be on display. Also, the silhouette is sort of like a lampshade ... not flattering.

Blogger ingefaer said ... (12:14 PM) :

she does have lovely legs and a great haircut....the striped thingy looks like a beach-cover-up

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:15 PM) :

Love it! She looks tall and that look works on tall, especially with those shoes..

Anonymous Pia said ... (12:16 PM) :

Great legs. The shirt does nothing for her..

Anonymous Style Odyssey said ... (12:19 PM) :

it's beautiful on her. looks like exactly what i want to wear in this inescapable tropic heat, i.e., nothing too close to the body. alas, it would look like a tent on my petite frame. but just looking at the photo makes me think of breezier days and cooler temps.

Anonymous aTreasuryOf.com said ... (12:21 PM) :

The unstudied breeziness seems actual - not rehearsed.

Hope it wasn't a very breezy day though!

Blogger BlumeBloom said ... (12:38 PM) :

Didn't you take a picture very similar to this one a year or so ago?
I liked it then and I like it now.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:48 PM) :

I'm sorry. This is not fashion. It is a woman wearing a shirt much too large for her.

Blogger Isabelle Lafleche said ... (12:57 PM) :

Those shoes make me swoon...sighhh

Blogger Claire said ... (1:03 PM) :

I think it just looks like a way too big shirt on her. She would look much prettier in probably everything else she had in her wardrobe.

Anonymous AnonymousJK said ... (1:08 PM) :

This is no ordinary shirt dress and obviously no ordinary woman. Love the colour combo of the preppy blue shirt dress and the classic brown of the shoes - very nice!

Blogger Almaty Street Fashion said ... (1:19 PM) :

Looks like she just got out of bed and forgot to wear a skirt or jeans.
Love the shirt mut it feels like something is missing

Blogger Pearl Westwood said ... (1:23 PM) :

I really love how she didn't do the obvious thing and belt it! The blue and brown look fab together.

Blogger Sarah said ... (1:36 PM) :

It's a bit too "walk of shame" for me... I agree with a previous poster, that could be solved with a belt.

Blogger Jú Fuscaldi Rebouças said ... (1:52 PM) :

What a style!

Blogger test said ... (1:57 PM) :

love the shoes but i wouldn't go out with that shirt...I'd have to be taking care of it so I wouldn't show something I didn't want lol

Blogger Laura said ... (1:59 PM) :

its sexy but is that her dress or did she just leave her man and decided to wear his shirt??? either way it makes me smile.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:01 PM) :

ridiculous

nice legs though

Blogger Christina Song said ... (2:06 PM) :

LOVE the shoes!!

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (2:13 PM) :

Boyfriend's pajama top.

Sexy for the boudoir.

The shoes are killer -- I hope only in a good way. I can't imagine walking down an old street in Europe with them on. But they're perfect for an art gallery hostess or showing up at your hotel's restaurant.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:15 PM) :

how does she walk in those!?

Anonymous princessofmars said ... (2:16 PM) :

Technically, this look -- the "no pants" thing, the baggy shirt -- should be a "Don't." But it works beautifully for this particular woman, and isn't that the point of great, individual style? Re. the possibility of wind gusts: Maybe she has mini-shorts on underneath. Or maybe just a fabulous pair of knickers!

Blogger Theresa said ... (2:16 PM) :

A great look - I disagree with the belt idea - she would then become a copycat, and here she is rocking it her own way. Pic proves that heels are all you need to pull an outfit together

Style Remains

I'm sorry but NO. This looks like a pajama top, no pants. Also, why can't people stand properly these days, it's always the pigeon toes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:09 PM) :

without the shoes you might think she ran out of some hosptial.

Anonymous Grace said ... (4:02 PM) :

I'm so torn. On one hand I want to love this. I really do. She is gorgeous and has such a beautiful air about her. I'm always a fan of oversized shirts and those shoes are to die for. But, I feel that the proportion is just wrong. The shirt needs to be slimmer and slightly longer. Then, it would be perfection.

This reminds me a lot of another picture you did a few months ago of a beautiful Asian woman (in London or Pairs maybe?) She was wearing an oversized shirt, black tights, and black heels. It was such a lovely picture.

Anonymous AnaPt said ... (4:18 PM) :

The courage to wear something like this! wow i envy her!!

Those amazing legs!! and the shoes!!! even the hair is perfect in this!!

Amazing shot really! Congrats!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:18 PM) :

what?? NO! this is one of the worst in my opinion.. the shirt is too wide and the heels are done and over with...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:22 PM) :

Who is her stylist? Omar the tent man?

Blogger J.Teheren said ... (4:23 PM) :

Blogger zaza said ... (4:56 PM) :

LOVE that dress! I wonder where she bought it...

Anonymous sanmiguelense said ... (5:01 PM) :

I have to say that the shirt-while totally fab-reminds me of a mini gelabayeh. The gelabayeh is of course the most basic, practical and beautiful garment!

Blogger Tristan said ... (5:05 PM) :

I think its an elegant yet relaxed look, the belt would make it too conventional. Its perfect the way it is.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (5:10 PM) :

I love this picture. The light...colors....her pose. Amazing.

Blogger The Daily Connoisseur said ... (5:20 PM) :

Ummm... this needs a belt.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:26 PM) :

Love the shoes but not the attire. Shes really pretty though.

Blogger Mimi and Tilly said ... (5:27 PM) :

Just completely beautiful.

I'm not sure...kudos to her for wearing it. I guess I like it enough to give someone Kudos.

Blogger missdelite said ... (5:50 PM) :

That's NOT a dress.

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:55 PM) :

It looks like she's wearing a nightgown! NO NO NO. I don't think you could walk down the street and get away with this outside of a major fashion capitol. Maybe if it were cinched, longer... maybe.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:13 PM) :

Agree that this would look even better with a waist belt!

Blogger Britta said ... (6:17 PM) :

Not going to lie, I searched the words "walk of shame" in the commentary to make sure i wasn't the only one.

Blogger Douglas Cain said ... (6:28 PM) :

Such a witty play on proportions. This look of pairing such a large anthropomorphic top with sharp strapped shoes makes her legs look like gold! So effortlessly chic!

http://douglascain.blogspot.com/

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:47 PM) :

I agree with Beha, she could use some tights.

I think this is more of a cape than a shirt, I really like the collar...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:02 PM) :

No to the sleepwear as daywear but I adore the photo. It is like you have captured an unguarded moment.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:07 PM) :

If it were not for the shoes, she would like like she is ready for bed. Very brave!! :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:16 PM) :

Bravissima!!!

Anonymous Grace said ... (7:32 PM) :

The shirt is not my favourite, but I always admire a bit of fashionable courage.

The shoes, on the other hand, are gorgeous and show off her great legs!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:41 PM) :

She's so clearly beautiful, even without being able to see her face, that it just makes me sad to see her wearing what looks more like her husbands over sized sleep shirt than even his work shirt. I get what she was going for, but it just looks unfinished and sloppy to me, and she clearly isn't either of those things.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:47 PM) :

Love the shoes. But the dress looks like a bed sheet.

Blogger tee said ... (7:51 PM) :

ridiculous!

Blogger LIGHTHEADED STREET SALON said ... (7:57 PM) :

yes, love! i want to float away with her!

Anonymous Sara Lua said ... (8:00 PM) :

Beautiful woman, and love her shoes. I wonder if one of the US fashion mags will put her on the back of the issue in a Fashion Don't spread? :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:23 PM) :

great pins!

Anonymous esther said ... (8:29 PM) :

I love her hair. Don't care for the shoes that everyone is raving about. They're too high and bulky for her legs; she looks like she's on stilts.

Blogger Lolitta said ... (8:35 PM) :

I'm not totally convinced that's a dress. However, I think style is subjective and if she woke up and decided this was her look for the day and on top of that ended up with the Sartoialist photographing her..*shrugs*

http://loveyourfabulousself.blogspot.com/

Anonymous Katrionagh said ... (8:49 PM) :

Now there's a style avenue I haven't taken before... "walk-of-shame chic."

Despite being oversize and sort of shapeless, she manages to make it real sexy... perhaps too sexy. A little longer and I'd be on board, but this comes off as too much (by being not enough).

Anonymous An said ... (8:51 PM) :

I love it. Stop being so serious! She doesn't look trampy, or "narcissistic". The shirt/dress isn't even that short, and the heels balance it out.
Who knows, maybe on another day she'd wear Bermuda shorts and a t-shirt. You don't have to judge her character by her outfit. We women like to have "sexy" days, and this was one for her.

Blogger GZ said ... (8:54 PM) :

Love the heels. They make this work.

Blogger Julie said ... (9:08 PM) :

Okay...shirt dress...or glorified walk of shame?! She does make it look good...

Blogger kahartland said ... (9:14 PM) :

love this! i j'adore just taking a big polo from my dads closet and cinching it with a belt (or not!) for a casual weekend look

www.getobsessed.blogspot.com

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:15 PM) :

My favorite things in this photograph: the envelope in her hand and the cute pixie cut. Really not impressed by the outfit. It looks a bit skanky. Maybe if she wore converse I would change my mind. haha

xx

Blogger Kirk said ... (9:24 PM) :

i definitely like the idea, but i think that a thick brown belt around her waist would improve her overall image.

Blogger .::Tuttie::. said ... (9:39 PM) :

she is definitely courageous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:47 PM) :

I like it and think it's really fun, but my first thought is that she spent the night at someone's place, and couldn't find her pants in the morning. Which is all good!

Anonymous Katy McDevitt said ... (12:04 AM) :

Oh, come off it. This is just silly.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:05 AM) :

Looks more like a walk of shame. Love the shoes though.

Blogger Eileen Marie said ... (12:40 AM) :

Wow. Beautiful and daring is my first thought! Loooovve the leather lace up heels! Especially the brown with blue.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:44 AM) :

im just curious about where shes going wearing that...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:46 AM) :

it's sure whimsical, fun and sexy... I would wear it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:00 AM) :

Blogger Pearl Bhasin said ... (1:37 AM) :

IS she REALLY getting away with it?

I'm afraid so...

Blogger Nick Leonard said ... (2:06 AM) :

Effortless & works.

Anonymous dinyah said ... (2:14 AM) :

that kind of shirt-dress is simply not my style. I would'nt consider that as something casual or fun, to me it looks really just messy.
But i definitely agree that she has great legs and the SHOES rock!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:20 AM) :

A belt please - otherwise it just looks like pajamas and heels...

Blogger Kat said ... (5:55 AM) :

GREATTTTT shoes! AHH!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:37 AM) :

Oo, no. It would be stunning to wear around the house or for a pool party but not out in public. As previous people have mentioned, one gust of wind and you're on display to the world.

Blogger Ammu said ... (6:55 AM) :

I feel like I ought to find this look inappropriate, but she pulls it off. Love the nonchalance. And the pin-stripe tunic. Gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:52 AM) :

I don't dislike the top, I love the shoes and she has great legs. But, the whole effect gets lost to the wind, so to speak.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:28 AM) :

Are you kidding me? amazing, I wish i could pull that look off. Awesome.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:41 AM) :

She manages to pull off this look, although, I think that its success is based more on her confidence. Love the shoes!

Anonymous sta said ... (9:44 AM) :

i know heaps of people are saying she should wear a belt blah blah but i absolutely adore the fact that she did not. one doesnt always have to define/show one's figure. volume is fun and interesting. this picture definitely is a good example. it probably looks like an odd look as it is incredibly unique!

volume executed right. love this look!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:55 AM) :

Yes, she needs to take a cue from Sara Jessica Parker and cinch with a belt. Amazing legs and shoes, though....

Anonymous Curiously Me said ... (11:04 AM) :

so sexy!! very italian..

xo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:44 PM) :

i get the undefined waist and like it. certainly those legs don't match a pot belly.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:48 PM) :

a woman from italy told me, if you wear short the cover up on top if you reveal the top cover up below. this goes further and avoids short and thight. well done. nice legs too

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:17 PM) :

The shoes don't match the dress well. If she'd gone with footwear that was more demure and subtle, it would've been a slam-dunk.

Blogger Teresa said ... (1:21 PM) :

...also, this reminds me of the post of Garance's - where she forgot to put her pants on before she left the house! (that was hiLARious!!)

Blogger iida said ... (1:59 PM) :

I love it! But I'd like it even more with flats... Simple black ballet flats would make it more Audrey Hepburn. But that's just me and my Audrey-obsession, I guess.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:41 PM) :

love the shoes. i would have belted it.

Blogger Stacey Thomas said ... (2:57 PM) :

I would recommend a skinny tan belt that matches the shoes to cinch the waist...she just needs a little more shape!

Blogger Hey, I'm Meg! said ... (3:10 PM) :

OH NO! looks like somebody forgot her pants! I get that it is bold, but the shape is very awkward. However it is interesting enough to wonder where on Earth she is going!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:05 PM) :

love it!Amazing shoes!

Anonymous Trasi K said ... (5:19 PM) :

I really love this! The shirt dress works well with those gorgeous high heels & I like that she chose a long necklace as her statement accessory piece vs. a chunky belt. Sexy business!

Blogger StyleSpy said ... (5:48 PM) :

WHere has that dress been all my life?

love the dress, though would only look good on someone slim and with a sense of flare. PLEASE no belt, so sick of belts and that silouette they give.

Is this Eva?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:45 AM) :

Just great (with a short underneath?). No belt, please! It would cut this nice volume.

I want those S-H-O-E-S!

Just goes to prove if you have a sense of style you can wear a sheet and look great.

i like this walk of shame look. i've tried it before.

The shoes are gorgeous, and she has great legs, but it still looks like she forgot the bottom part of her outfit. I think the shirt is just too wide to work on its own.

Blogger bird of light said ... (9:33 AM) :

It goes without saying how bold she is, but honestly, this picture speaks to me more of the shoes. And of her sublime tanned legs!..

..Her cute, short haircut enables her to carry this style off perfectly!

This picture makes me feel nervous! I'm waiting a gust of wind at any moment. I'm also concerned for her because she went out in her pyjamas...? Also, she has no pants on! The tension is all too much for me. Its like one of those bad dreams where you went to school in your pyjamas, or forgot to put your pants on, and then you realise and you're so embarrassed... just as an aside, i get those dreams as an adult but instead i go to work with my shower cap on. ?

one word:

e-d-g-y.

her haircut, the shirtdress, and the heels! they all go along really well.

Wonderful....it seems like such a liberating outfit, one which you might wear with a 'devil may care' attitude. I thoroughly disagree with the "where's the belt??" comments, as it would tie her down and make the whole image quite ordinary, whereas at the moment she seems to be defying gravity, both physically with those exquisite heels, and mentally, as though escaping the restraints of conventional "dress to impress" style and opting for one which is an expression of her mood, rather than an exhibition of her figure. If anything, the oversized garment accentuates her beauty and sensuality, as her flawless legs lead us to believe that what is concealed is as perfect as they are, if not more so. Her stance and the light create such an allure, and despite the sexiness there is also an element of childish innocence about the outfit, as though she was playing at 'dressing up as a grown-up' with clothes from her parents' wardrobes, giving her a surprising air of cheeky sophistication. She doesn’t appear to be looking for approval, rather daring you to disagree, and thus the question with this outfit should not be whether it ‘works’ or whether we ‘like’ it, but whether it has succeeded in inspiring our imaginations and conveying the mood of the wearer, and in my opinion it certainly has! Magnifique….

COMPLETELY inappropriate, yet at the same time, matronly.

L O V E I T !
no belt works wonderfully. shoes complement the dress. she has put this outfit together perfectly.

she needs to find somewhere that does a better spray tan - she is white then orange then patches of white on her feet...and wearing 'look at me' shoes, you need to make sure that is flawless or it looks trashy. love the shoes, but not the potato sack.or the tan.obviously.

the angle of the sun makes me think this could be an early morning pick... I think that this is less of a fashion statement and more a courageous statement that she loves (or was just loving on) a man bigger than she.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:47 PM) :

Ugh!! This looks like she's wearing her husband's work shirt. However, I am loving the shoes.

Blogger Suwanee said ... (6:57 PM) :

I would. I love the look of it. I often wear my husand's shirts around the house anyway because they are sooo comfortable. Why not outside.

This does not look good. She herself is beautiful and is wearing killer shoes. Hell no to the shirt though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:15 PM) :

are u kidding me? who would say no to that shirt.! its fresh, its innovative and the large seize is genius! especially when it goes with those legs! j'adore

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:41 PM) :

What a fancy walk of shame that would make.. :P The shirt is perfect for that.! I love the combo of the blue/white shirt and the beige shoes..

This woman looks AMAZING from head to toe. Her sexiness is off the charts! If you google "shirtdress", you will see countless vanilla examples worn with belts, tights, and ballet flats. And every single one is boring as hell. This woman may be a lot of things, but she most certainly is NOT boring or vanilla.

She pulls this off because of her hair style, the contrast of her petite body within the voluminous shirt, and those sexy shoes. Bravo to this woman for her daring sexuality. I would love to see her in this outfit, but also wearing a chunky men's watch. Very well done.
