Comments on "On the Street... Welcome to Fashion Week, NYC"
Brilliant is all that needs to be said about this guy.
Incredibly dapper gent! Love this look.
i love this look, the colors all go so together perfectly. i especially enjoy the red and blue of the tie with the lovely gray of the pants and the brown shoes.
I'll say what I said yesterday, loving the competing prints. I have that J Crew knit tie!
Quite nice, except for the boxers he forgot in his jacket pocket...
He looks very interesting and so funny!:)
Very nice, i love particulary his flanels'pant
First class gentleman !
Fress. Cool. Perfect.
Gorgeous mix of patterns. And I like that he doesn't take his outfit too seriously! ;)
that outfit is disturbingly fresh
This man has real style! Love his shirt and tie combination. The pants are great as well.
Love it!
Great style, beautiful picture!
Perfection.
Yeah, welcome too! Yesterday's Shows and the following Fashion's Night Out - what a brilliant start of Fashion Week...

Charming photo!
A quite handsome gentleman!
you always catch the gorgeous side of everyone! fab
xx
I do like most of it, but I agree with Thomas: the cloth napkin from lunch doesn't fit in his pocket.
Hubba hubba.
Great look..........and Scott shot the shoe...man!!!!
gladman
LOVE this look.
i love this guy!
Funky and perfect!
Peace and love!
Quite dapper!!!
How Dandy!
what a gentleman!
great style
=**
so very charming, good man.
hats off--in more ways than one--what an intriguing shot!
Nice looking gentleman indeed! I always like when people make the effort to dress up. He looks a million times better than most people I see on the streets!!!
Sart, I saw the window display at Barney's last night! Took a shot, will post it later.
Congratulations!
School boy with an air of sophistication. It's a perfect fall look.
Great, but I'd like to see more women
thx^^
Brilliant is all I can say.
wow! brilliant!
He's got a lot of style! I snapped a photo of him last fashion week and he's sporting a similar look: http://s252.photobucket.com/albums/hh19/cynikalX/2009-02-18-fashion-week/?action=view¤t=_MG_7000.jpg
:)
how do you do young chap?
Puts the "j" in jaunty and jolly. Dig this dude's look, espesh the shirt!
I like his glasses and hairdo.
Those glasses are KILLER! I love how they really set the mood for the entire ensemble.
This is a nice prelude to fall. Love the menagerie of blues (tie, shirt, blazer & braces), coupled with the grey flannel trousers.
Magnificent!
Lovely!
I was just listening to Robbie Williams' version of Mr Bojangles and i see this guy... brilliant!
Love your work!
I will never say it enough....
VIVE LES HOMMES STYLéS......
and if they are black.... c'est la cerise sur le gateau!
And I do like the little "napkin".....
So darling, so dashing.
LOVE it!
Is it just me or is this look quite boring? This sudden rise in the preppy trend is kind of tired and this gentleman looks like he has few better looks up his sleeve.
Nice outfit

I think I'm in love. Hey Dapper Stranger: call me!
Love that he is in motion...bet he dances divinely (with or without the contentious pocket square!)
Looks like a younger, skinnier version of me (I'm not kidding). The pocket square is a tad large for the slim profile of the garments. Otherwise, a good eye for pattern mixing.
Very dapper, although a little confused by the hanky in his pocket. I wish I had the confidence to dress this way everyday. Or maybe if I dressed this way everyday I'd have more confidence?
Very very nice:)))..Wau...
Wau...Very very nice:)))man and look:)))
Perfect. Love the fit of those gorgeous pants. Like that it is preppy and trad but modern without irony. Maybe that's a spare shirt in his pocket.
and what a welcome it is!!! that tie is phenomenal!
<3 The Voguette
nice look and photo! :)
what a fine, unique gentleman!
The pattern on his tie & handkerchief really makes the outfit!!
If I were a man this is EXACTLY how I would want to dress. His style is absolutely PERFECT.
A definite smile arises :)
Simply wonderful!
Very welcome!...Perfect for fashion and he is unique!!!!!Lovely!!!!
He has made what are some very smart items of clothing look incredibly untidy! Is that a tea towel in his breast pocket?
This is just one of those outfits that could not be plotted or planned. I can feel the improvisation that took place as he left the house.

Oh WOW, this is a great post & you have the most gorgeously beautiful site here. I had to stop by to leave this comment for you – and to say hello of course ! Your posts are creative and original and you have interesting pictures. It's all perfect ! Thank you for sharing your site and best wishes... Happy weekend....
Men, take note! THIS is what you should be aiming for. Sigh...
Love it, pocket square and all :)
Yea!!! Fashion Week is one thing I live for~can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
This look is too studied. Suspenders , clownish looking pocketsquare , fake glasses , tie bar on a knit tie, trendy hat....To most this would appear to be a good look, but i beg to differ.
yeah baby. colors fantastic! shock of teal/turquoise with the navy and red and conservative check. brown shoes grey slacks...he's perfecto. i would have put a tan scarf in my pocket, but then i wouldn't be him. thanks for this guy!
It surprises me that so many people love this look. To me, it looks extremely phony and sloppy. It looks as if he had a few interesting pieces in his closet and threw them all on, then hoped that they would all be cohesive. Or ironic. Either way this is no good.
Wow this dude is straight fire!! Love his style!
Down to the pocket handkerchief!!!

The word that jumps immediately to mind: Dapper!
Well played, sir!
Ahhh what a gent!
Great style, love the tie!
The love child of Alex P. Keaton and will.i.am...
Oh yes! He is gold!
SOOOO ON POINTTTTTTTTTT!
ALMOST PERFECT!

he's giving me geeky chic

I like the checkered handkerchief in his breast pocket. Although it doesn't match, it goes!
CLASSIC!
love. love. love. absolutely love.
The tie pulls it all together and makes it stand out. Check out my video of BCBGMAXAZRIA show yesterday: http://style-fyle.com/?p=160
So handsome! Now if I could just get my guy to dress this way...
He looks very cool
I love ''la cravate'' and the glasses maaaaaaaan
Very nice.
AMAZING shot!!
Très cool...i love the tie...it's all so Band of Outsiders...but probably all vintage. I love it!

The best thing about this image is that the gent himself is in control of the clothes. It is his character that shines and he is using his wardrobe as an extension of his image. Quelle panache!
beautiful, black man.
handsome dress.
smart style.
nice.
The tie too long!!!
The colors match: well done
his name is keino benjamin and he's the king of fashion week.he's lovely.
Best dressed man fashion stylist Keino Benjamin.
Dear Sartorialist, I love when you snap these dapper gents, so inspirational for us "dandys"!
Knit tie is nice - quite long though, isn't it. Could have shortened the pants as well!
awkward looking stance. the way he tips his hat is more similar to a beggar or entertainer's prelude to a request for a tip.
if i saw this man in dallas-land of dockers and synthetic golf shirts-he would totally make my day. i don't understand all the nit-picking-this man is a gift to everyone who is lucky enough to see him. he perfectly presents the joy of being alive.
Perfection. Style not fashion. Love that, always. He's expressing something about himself and I love him for that.
More than anything I love his attitude.
Wonderful tie ! Would it be from J Crew by any change ? And the glasses are so perfectly fitting... reminiscent of another time, yet very modern.
this is so perfect! the tie? the suspenders?
http://almostlikesushi.blogspot.com
wow
I really, absolutely see nothing out of the ordinary here. His tie bar is too wide, but then there's probably a 'cool' reason for it.
This is a very charming look, however I feel that each of these pieces are stunning independent of each other but not pieced together like this.
Too many colours/prints/textures/shapes to be a coherent look, in my opinion.
But kudos to his confidence, bravado and whimsy.
A lot going on there.
The hat with piping band, the pin in the lapel, the hastily folded handkerchief, the suspenders...
I think in this case a bit less would be indeed more. I don't mind the tie with the shirt, they're kinda perky together. I'd just like to see some visual discipline applied.
But then maybe you wouldn't have snapped him.
Wow, I love it! So sharp and chic...he looks like he has a really cool personality. Great picture.
I love this look! So classy and sharp! Wow!
Wow! the look is good. I especially enjoy the red and blue of the tie with the lovely gray pants, gray shoes and brown hat. Very nice styles. If you are looking for more fashion it. visit fashion stylist site.
Thanks!
This look is great so fresh and different. Loving the tie!
I love the effort and attitude, but to me, this is more fashion than style.
He clearly knows how to mix patterns, colors, and knows what fits him.
The truly unnecessary accessory here though, are his braces. His pants fit perfectly such that he doesn't need a belt which means that he doesn't need braces either. This makes the look look "fake" to me.
Just sayin'.
Micheal Q take it easy and sit down. you have no say in fashion. This kid is the king...
love love love his tie!!! .. your photography is BEAUTIFUL. you seem to capture not only scrumptious ensembles but the colorful characters of these people's personality :)
IM INSPIRED, thank you.
