:)

Blogger a reference said ... (11:51 AM) :

Blogger CassieMarie said ... (12:09 PM) :

Those glasses are KILLER! I love how they really set the mood for the entire ensemble.

Blogger Michael1style said ... (12:26 PM) :

This is a nice prelude to fall. Love the menagerie of blues (tie, shirt, blazer & braces), coupled with the grey flannel trousers.

So darling, so dashing.

Blogger hi-d said ... (12:56 PM) :

LOVE it!

Blogger Nick said ... (12:57 PM) :

Is it just me or is this look quite boring? This sudden rise in the preppy trend is kind of tired and this gentleman looks like he has few better looks up his sleeve.

Blogger Philippe said ... (1:01 PM) :

Nice outfit

Blogger Lauren said ... (1:05 PM) :

I think I'm in love. Hey Dapper Stranger: call me!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:12 PM) :

Love that he is in motion...bet he dances divinely (with or without the contentious pocket square!)

Blogger Jazzbuff630 said ... (1:16 PM) :

Looks like a younger, skinnier version of me (I'm not kidding). The pocket square is a tad large for the slim profile of the garments. Otherwise, a good eye for pattern mixing.

Blogger Not Required said ... (1:23 PM) :

Very dapper, although a little confused by the hanky in his pocket. I wish I had the confidence to dress this way everyday. Or maybe if I dressed this way everyday I'd have more confidence?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:26 PM) :

Very very nice:)))..Wau...

Blogger Simona said ... (1:28 PM) :

Wau...Very very nice:)))man and look:)))

Blogger HW90 said ... (1:31 PM) :

Perfect. Love the fit of those gorgeous pants. Like that it is preppy and trad but modern without irony. Maybe that's a spare shirt in his pocket.

Blogger The Voguette said ... (1:35 PM) :

and what a welcome it is!!! that tie is phenomenal!

<3 The Voguette

Blogger About me and you and ... said ... (1:37 PM) :

nice look and photo! :)

Blogger hyc said ... (1:37 PM) :

what a fine, unique gentleman!
The pattern on his tie & handkerchief really makes the outfit!!

Blogger Mac Daddy said ... (2:01 PM) :

If I were a man this is EXACTLY how I would want to dress. His style is absolutely PERFECT.

A definite smile arises :)

Blogger Pearl Westwood said ... (2:43 PM) :

Simply wonderful!

Blogger Angeles Almuna said ... (2:45 PM) :

Very welcome!...Perfect for fashion and he is unique!!!!!Lovely!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:11 PM) :

He has made what are some very smart items of clothing look incredibly untidy! Is that a tea towel in his breast pocket?

Blogger Graham I. Haynes said ... (3:12 PM) :

This is just one of those outfits that could not be plotted or planned. I can feel the improvisation that took place as he left the house.

Love it, pocket square and all :)

Anonymous Holly said ... (4:25 PM) :

Yea!!! Fashion Week is one thing I live for~can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Anonymous Captain RL said ... (4:40 PM) :

This look is too studied. Suspenders , clownish looking pocketsquare , fake glasses , tie bar on a knit tie, trendy hat....To most this would appear to be a good look, but i beg to differ.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:44 PM) :

yeah baby. colors fantastic! shock of teal/turquoise with the navy and red and conservative check. brown shoes grey slacks...he's perfecto. i would have put a tan scarf in my pocket, but then i wouldn't be him. thanks for this guy!

Blogger Bobby Henderson said ... (5:09 PM) :

It surprises me that so many people love this look. To me, it looks extremely phony and sloppy. It looks as if he had a few interesting pieces in his closet and threw them all on, then hoped that they would all be cohesive. Or ironic. Either way this is no good.

Blogger Mcmaris said ... (5:25 PM) :

Wow this dude is straight fire!! Love his style!

Down to the pocket handkerchief!!!

CLASSIC!

Blogger erin nuts said ... (9:00 PM) :

love. love. love. absolutely love.

Anonymous StyFy said ... (9:37 PM) :

The tie pulls it all together and makes it stand out. Check out my video of BCBGMAXAZRIA show yesterday: http://style-fyle.com/?p=160

Blogger Sarah M said ... (10:46 PM) :

So handsome! Now if I could just get my guy to dress this way...

Blogger Simo said ... (10:54 PM) :

He looks very cool

I love ''la cravate'' and the glasses maaaaaaaan

AMAZING shot!!

Anonymous Le 21ème said ... (12:01 AM) :

Très cool...i love the tie...it's all so Band of Outsiders...but probably all vintage. I love it!

Anonymous Erik Posthuma said ... (12:17 AM) :

The best thing about this image is that the gent himself is in control of the clothes. It is his character that shines and he is using his wardrobe as an extension of his image. Quelle panache!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:44 AM) :

beautiful, black man.
handsome dress.
smart style.

nice.

Blogger Fernando said ... (4:37 AM) :

The tie too long!!!

The colors match: well done

Anonymous szonja said ... (5:16 AM) :

his name is keino benjamin and he's the king of fashion week.he's lovely.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:32 AM) :

Best dressed man fashion stylist Keino Benjamin.

Anonymous John Agee Paris said ... (6:08 AM) :

Dear Sartorialist, I love when you snap these dapper gents, so inspirational for us "dandys"!

Blogger Berg&Berg said ... (7:02 AM) :

Knit tie is nice - quite long though, isn't it. Could have shortened the pants as well!

Anonymous hiram k. said ... (9:09 AM) :

awkward looking stance. the way he tips his hat is more similar to a beggar or entertainer's prelude to a request for a tip.

Blogger thecatbirdseat said ... (9:47 AM) :

if i saw this man in dallas-land of dockers and synthetic golf shirts-he would totally make my day. i don't understand all the nit-picking-this man is a gift to everyone who is lucky enough to see him. he perfectly presents the joy of being alive.

Anonymous Katy McDevitt said ... (10:05 AM) :

Perfection. Style not fashion. Love that, always. He's expressing something about himself and I love him for that.

Blogger Sarah said ... (12:47 PM) :

More than anything I love his attitude.

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:03 PM) :

Wonderful tie ! Would it be from J Crew by any change ? And the glasses are so perfectly fitting... reminiscent of another time, yet very modern.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:35 PM) :

this is so perfect! the tie? the suspenders?

http://almostlikesushi.blogspot.com

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:20 PM) :

wow

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:21 PM) :

I really, absolutely see nothing out of the ordinary here. His tie bar is too wide, but then there's probably a 'cool' reason for it.

Blogger booboocitron said ... (7:58 PM) :

This is a very charming look, however I feel that each of these pieces are stunning independent of each other but not pieced together like this.

Too many colours/prints/textures/shapes to be a coherent look, in my opinion.

But kudos to his confidence, bravado and whimsy.

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (9:55 PM) :

A lot going on there.
The hat with piping band, the pin in the lapel, the hastily folded handkerchief, the suspenders...

I think in this case a bit less would be indeed more. I don't mind the tie with the shirt, they're kinda perky together. I'd just like to see some visual discipline applied.

But then maybe you wouldn't have snapped him.

Blogger Bookworm said ... (1:43 PM) :

Wow, I love it! So sharp and chic...he looks like he has a really cool personality. Great picture.

Blogger Isabelle Lafleche said ... (11:40 AM) :

I love this look! So classy and sharp! Wow!

Blogger laura said ... (8:50 PM) :

Wow! the look is good. I especially enjoy the red and blue of the tie with the lovely gray pants, gray shoes and brown hat. Very nice styles. If you are looking for more fashion it. visit fashion stylist site.

Thanks!

Anonymous Luxury tie designer said ... (5:56 AM) :

This look is great so fresh and different. Loving the tie!

Blogger Michael Q. said ... (8:40 AM) :

I love the effort and attitude, but to me, this is more fashion than style.

He clearly knows how to mix patterns, colors, and knows what fits him.

The truly unnecessary accessory here though, are his braces. His pants fit perfectly such that he doesn't need a belt which means that he doesn't need braces either. This makes the look look "fake" to me.

Just sayin'.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:52 AM) :

Micheal Q take it easy and sit down. you have no say in fashion. This kid is the king...

Blogger Blakeni Delyn said ... (1:00 AM) :

love love love his tie!!! .. your photography is BEAUTIFUL. you seem to capture not only scrumptious ensembles but the colorful characters of these people's personality :)
IM INSPIRED, thank you.
