Not a fan of those big lapels. I'm still stuck in a skinny lapels, skinny trousers place.

Blogger theDavid said ... (6:59 PM) :

I really like the pocket square, I think the shirt is Ben Sherman. The woman looks tasteful, I bet she has kids...hence the cute multi-color bracelets.

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (7:08 PM) :

The stripes on that gorgeous guy are stunning all by themselves.

The top on the woman is interesting.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:15 PM) :

Very stylish , but could she look more miserable??

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:21 PM) :

He is so healthy looking and perfectly unperfectly groomed.
He looks clean and fresh and neat but not prissy.
And his mixes of various blues only enhance his coloring.
He is dressed like a grown man - how refreshing and inspiring.

Anonymous Mici said ... (7:29 PM) :

That suit is just lovely. Just lovely.

Blogger William in Toronto said ... (7:32 PM) :

Suite is one size too large? Or is it an '80s cut? Nice foppish pocket puff, perfectly deployed.

Blogger The Fabulous Spinster said ... (7:35 PM) :

best. handkerchief. ever.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:06 PM) :

He's the kind of handsome that seems appropriate to call dreamy. They both seem kind of old-timey; they'd make a very cute couple!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:10 PM) :

Is this the "Some kinda blue " guy from the other day? He has got such a handsome and kind face! Very nice look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:14 PM) :

Very nice to see a gent doing multiple stripes. The fact that he opted for the brown and blue scheme was not, I think, accidental as it works rather well for his coloring. The scale of the stripes against each other doesn't quite work for me, but the pocket square is beautiful harmonizing touch. All in all, a very nice confident look for a man.
As for the lady, I found the detail in the shirt front very appealing and the cuffs sticking out of the cardigan remind me a bit of some of the things at the shows underway in Milan. Well done.

Anonymous Elaine said ... (9:08 PM) :

The man has a great look - striped suit, striped shirt, and the pattern on his breast pocket handkerchief. Interesting how her necklace is underneath the sheer blouse, and the sleeve of her blouse sticking out of the jacket sleeve is a lovely effect.

Blogger Joêlle said ... (9:18 PM) :

That man is simply gorgeous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:18 PM) :

Love her! Especially the neon bracelets and the loose cuffs poking out from beneath her cardigan. Face is a bit glib and sassy though. Very tasteful and down-to-earth outfit.

I have such a big boy crush on him.

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:32 PM) :

Patrick is looking great as usual, and that is a lovely creature, love how she has unbuttoned the sleeves of her beautiful blouse.

Blogger C A said ... (9:40 PM) :

HIS SUIT AND HIS SCARF ARE SO ELEGANT, THEY COMBINE PERFECTLY AND THE SUIT'S TEXTURE MAKES HIM VERY "ITALIAN LOOKING"... ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:07 PM) :

There's that gorgeous man again- so ridiculously handsome I didn't even notice his clothes (if that's wrong, I don't wanna be right). He really should go into the movies.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:12 PM) :

The gent is nearly there. If he ratcheted up the tie width to match those bold peaks and pushed his pocket square back an inch, he'd be on Easy Street.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:25 PM) :

THESE TWO SHOULD GET TOGETHER AND MAKE SOME OUTSTANDING LOOKING BABIES... AT LEAST 5...FOR THE SAKE OF HUMANITY...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:25 PM) :

Love her sheer blouse and what a cool hair style. When an article of clothing contains two or more different types of fabric I cannot help but swoon. She is pretty, looks like she could be Audrey Tautou's sis.

Anonymous Holly said ... (10:49 PM) :

Who cares what he's wearing he would look good no matter what or where! But giving credit where credit is due Scott you are amazing with your photography anyone or thing just pops! I think she is beautiful with such a natural quality, the epitome of beauty!

Always looks effortlessly cool. Love the fact he's not trimmed his beard around his neck (a la George Micheal!).....not too try hard.

Always looks effortlessly cool. Not overly groomed with his beard leaving it untrimmed round his neck.....not too try hard :-)

Beautiful photography, as usual.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:03 AM) :

que hombre mas guapo y elegante!

Blogger Anna said ... (12:16 AM) :

I HAVE HER YELLOW BRACELET, it was like €1 at some little hippie shop in Bilbao, Spain.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:50 AM) :

hes on the cover of monocle no?

Blogger G. R. Mardock said ... (1:00 AM) :

I love his hair and beard, but that's really about it.

I have a friend who really likes to wear striped suits with striped shirts, similar to this man. To me, the whole ensemble isn't elegantly disheveled, but rather overly busy.

Either a solid navy suit, or a solid light blue shirt, would have made this outfit truly classic. The pocket square adds enough flair on its own, it doesn't need help from the shirt.

Blogger christopherphillipsmakeup.com said ... (2:31 AM) :

He looks like Ricky Martin does Wall Street. In a good way.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:11 AM) :

I love the way the laday is dressed, so efortlessly elegant...PLEASE someone know where her shirt comes from??? I love it!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:26 AM) :

Chanel style always works!
Love it that she looks like she just threw this on, no make up and just a tiny drop of numero 5.

What are those bracelets doing there though?

Blogger Marie El. said ... (4:02 AM) :

that lady- she reminds me of Coco Chanel!

Blogger gabrielazeanadal@hotmail.com said ... (4:04 AM) :

Nice pair! I love the pose and expression of the man in the top picture, he reminds me a little of Louis Jourdan.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:13 AM) :

that outfit could look so matronly but she pulls it off so insouciantly. undone cuffs, necklace (what is that pendant!) behind the sheer, street bracelets, no makeup, pulled up cardy sleeve. great.

Blogger Stratos Bacalis said ... (4:34 AM) :

Can I marry him? Norton is always so elegant!

Blogger Ammu said ... (7:00 AM) :

Love her hair - it makes the look - and the shirt. This is how you work the transparency trend. Fabulous.

Blogger atwistoflime said ... (7:29 AM) :

I partially agree Mardock. The mix of pocket square (particularly displayed in such a manner) with the the pinstripe with the striped shirt is too much. But... If you'd made the pocket square less ... flourished (a solid colour, neatly folded, there is enough vie boheme in the rest of the outfit). Then I would like the outfit. However, I will agree that a solid shirt with the flourished square would have also been ideal.

Blogger Cindy at LottieBird said ... (8:01 AM) :

I love her hair. I wish my hair would look so chic like this. I would just look like I had spent the day at soccer tournaments. Alas. The burbs.

She is very striking.

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (8:28 AM) :

Love his mix of blues. Especially the pocket square.

Blogger The Chukker said ... (9:10 AM) :

The gent is Patrick Grant indeed.
He is in the business of making the best clothes imaginable.
Looking sharp as usual, and his beard and tache are just perfect.
Good job!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:01 AM) :

The Guy.... WOW

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:02 AM) :

Patrick is SO handsome. Swoon. And anyone that can wear a pocket square so effortlessly is perfect in my books. I would ordinarily dislike stripes on stripes, but he makes it work.

Anonymous Hepburn said ... (12:12 PM) :

He looks absolutely charming!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:21 PM) :

What an attractive and stylish guy! I want to marry him!

Blogger Amy said ... (2:04 PM) :

Beautiful suit. I like the mixing of stripes and the pocket square pattern

Blogger CW said ... (2:04 PM) :

Great pattern on the suit fabric. However, the rule is wide lapel- wide tie, to preserve the proportionality. My personal preference would be for a bolder tie and a solid shirt with the suit instead of the striped shirt (which would work better with a solid suit) and the narrow, solid tie.

The woman's outfit is unremarkable, even with the half-sheer, half-opaque blouse.

Blogger We will fight on the beaches.... said ... (3:08 PM) :

Her expression is fantastic. All the words apply, timeless, classic, etc etc. For him, the pocket square makes the whole outfit far too dandyish.

Blogger Angeles Almuna said ... (3:59 PM) :

Charming!!!!WOW!!!

Anonymous emerson mosca said ... (4:10 PM) :

Pictures like those are the reason why I adore your work Sart. You have an innate talent to catch people's expression and personality. Inspiration doesn't always come from a great outfit combination. Sometimes I get more inspired by someone's genuine beauty. Thank you!

Blogger Serg Riva said ... (7:16 PM) :

with eyes that could open a can of beans and a half-smile that works better than any printed telegram, I submit to the non-precious bracelet.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:45 PM) :

the woman looks so natural and glamourous in this understated ensemble. elegant. love the bracelets aussi

Anonymous Paul said ... (1:09 AM) :

Patrick Grant is a legend. Beatiful suit and a wonderful tailor and designer for Norton & Sons and E.Tautz. He's also a major supporter of keeping Harris Tweed alive. A true gentleman.

Anonymous Elegant Distinction said ... (7:26 AM) :

Understated and elegant- that's a brilliant combination

Blogger Brummagem Joe said ... (9:15 AM) :

Incredibly handsome guy but his striped suit and shirt combo, particularly combined with the over fussy pocket hankerchief, is way too busy. This guy would look great in anything but since he's a professional he should have achieved a better balance of elements imho.

Anonymous John Agee Paris said ... (10:21 AM) :

I don't know who HE is, but he can drop by for tea anytime.

Anonymous ROXY MARJ said ... (11:50 AM) :

ooooohhhhh my FAVORITE!!!

Anonymous TANIA&TANYA said ... (8:37 AM) :

So, that is a Man.
The one with that certain smile in the eyes like Clarke Gable. His style is in his face and in the way he holds the newspaper.

Blogger The Clever Pup said ... (11:06 AM) :

Re:top guy.

Now, that's better. No more wrinkles.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:06 PM) :

i hope to marry someone who looks like that guy :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:29 AM) :

I disagree with those who think his striped shirt is too much with the striped suit and patterned, flouncy pocket square. I don't think that look is for everyone, but I think he looks elegant, confident, and has a very modern take on classic dressing.

As for her--adorable and chic. Her haircut is perfection.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:00 AM) :

The girl is a fashion editor at Wallpaper* magazine and always dresses very understated but so classy. Love her style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:25 PM) :

Who's looking at his suit? He is damn handsome!

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:22 PM) :

above man is so charming. Suit is so nice on him..
