Comments on "On the Street....West Village, NYC"
Beautifully done. Love the bracelets.
You're right - she looks great AND comfortable with herself.
She looks great. Love the bracelet(s).
If it's such a warm day, why the long sleeved sweater? She is so cute, love her stance, the white high top, scuffed shoes, black socks, bold hoop earrings, and of course, her bracelets. However, I do not like the tee-shirt sticking out of her sweater.
Need that bracelet! Now! ;)
A golden dancer walking down the street turns and smiles into the camera.
There's humor and grace in her entire being.
:) super rad!She definitly has a sence of who she is. It shows through the picture.

not too sure about the outfit, but I do love the gold cuff...and her legs.
been seeing this skirt everywhere. prefer the jersey trend where it gives more off a sweat-pant vibe.
the real story in this picture are the understated scuffed shoes.
its funny you say this because i think so too. however last night on project runway the panel blasted the designer for putting together a skirt top combo very similar to this.
good spot
YEP!!! She does own that look...I love her shoes.
you're so right: this does look sporty-chic. i hate sneakers with skirts, but this woman pulls it off.

perfect. photograph more beauties like her! i am tired of models.
I am pretty sure I had those booties back in the day (80's)! The ankle flap also could fold down. Maybe she found them at a thrift store...nostalgia...
Like the look but why a sweater if it's so hot out?
I agree with David, I also like her color palette. The weather there looks so warm and summery.
No. I like the idea but don't think it's well executed.
she looks phenomenal. love the gold bracelets. the stripes of matching color. i could do with a different shoe though...perhaps something a bit cleaner.
love her shoes so much!!!!
what a beautiful woman. but i've always hated hightops.
I love the West Village, having lived there, I adore the individuality that comes through in the fashion choices and this girl is a great example of that...
Those shoes and socks are so brilliant and perfect.
She's a gorgeous lady! I love the shape of her skirt and how she styled it. Her shoe and sock combo is very cool.
I see grace.

This is one of your best ever pictures. Amazing.
shoes are chocolate fudge to me! i'm a sucker for a great pair of sneakers
LOVE it and instant inspiration on what to wear today (on a sunny Saturday)
Come to Vassar College. The campus is literally a runway for couture. Literally
I too love the bracelets... even the varied colors of them is perfect.
I like the idea of the look but I don't really love the skirt. But the whole thing looks great on her.

I really like a lot about this from the way she alternated light and dark to the combination of tops with the skirt and yes the dark socks and light shoes. It's all good. But mostly I like to see HER, a natural, cute young woman pausing like an Egyptian queen with her gold treasure on her arm.
Happiness beautifully expressed~!
she's beautiful. and i love this look! simplicity is key.
its interesting that when you photograph people other than celebrities or your average skinny, white model....the number of comments decrease...says something about the fashion world today. sad, but the truth.
She looks nice ;) Like the "Egyptian" pose.. Interesting mixture of serenity and sporty.
i love th shoes n high ankle socks!!!

the blog that no one knows about
There is nothing more beautiful than a woman who is comfortable with herself- that is why what this woman is wearing looks so attractive.

So rare to see such a short skirt come off as cute and sporty, rather than just slutty. Great style, great shot.
nice collection
I love her and her dreads!
She looks too cute! This look is perfection: casual, girlie and cool!!! Th skirt is to die for and the vintage booties are awesome.
I love her smile. :)
It took a while for me to get this pic. I think it's because everything in it totally works together, and that means a lot of things that take time to sink in.
Her bangles and hoops, her peek of white under black and the reverse at her feet. Her pharaoh walk and her dreds against an over-exposed West Village and sky. And the best, her smile.
So as a fashion photo, it is decently typical Sart. As a photo in its own right it is truly memorable.
Goddess.
she is stunning! Olwyn

Fierce need those shoes NOW
Great look with the best universal accessory: a smile!
It's the simplicity that counts. This is a good, comfortable look which is nicely co-ordinated. Her attitude projects it even more positively.
Pretty girl
but,
I do not love the sweater (I'm getting warm just looking at it), I don't care for the untucked t-shirt poking out, and I do not like the shoes.
Fine sports skirt! And the cheerful person.
It is fine!
I invite all to my blog children's clothes
