Tie, tie, tie! Is so f*ucking amazing! Love it, love it!
Peace and love!
DAPPER! I NEVER get to say that!!
Seems quite apt that the Smith's "This Charming Man" immediately came to mind.
his creative style is a delight....so dapper with that youthful glint in his eye.
interesting mix of textures, patterns.
That to me is near Perfection. Wow what a great looking Chap.
old gentlemen are always so stylis at least in your pics. And I think that your blog is the truth.

Ah, perfection. Gents, take note of the sartorial details: the lovely gold pin the plucky kerchief, the straw boater, the daring tie, and lastly the slim portfolio.
Who is he?
Is it any wonder the word verification for this post is "ledope"? :)
This look certainly is le dope.
That tie..
How charming! I love his lapel pin!
xoxo
sweet sweet!!
Love the tie. Love the straw bucket hat and want to know where he got it. Think that it's too hot today for a double-breasted blazer but a pincord or seersucker single-breasted jacket would work better.
Sweet!
This is reason enough to stroll down 5th Avenue.
He's so charming and wears that hat better than anyone.

What a man of fashion this one is! Absolutely beautiful what he's wearing.
By the way, this is the first time I comment, and I just want to say that I love this blog! It inspires me to rethink of personal style.

Fabulous! That is the epiphany of style - so put together, timeless and comfortable. <3
He is incredible!
I think he shopped his closet...He probably wore this twenty some odd or more years ago. Brilliantly put together. You go Sir!!!
i love his style, it's timeless style :)
ESECIAL TSL!
The pic is a little bit overexposed, but still...nice shot.
I love the jacket!!
If only all grandfathers looked like him - what an inspiration!
I would definitely look forward to old age if that's what would be waiting for me.
he´s so elegant and cool! Love the style, love the hat!
Way cool but it's his smile I love most!
the hat pulls it all together!
u r Mr Mort now?
wow :)
It makes me happy to look at him. But I am a little sick if all the shots of men lately. Don't girls do summer well? As I loathe summer I need some inspiration for the coming Australian season.
He looks like my landlord!
The "everyman" look for older stylish gents.
...the notebook really set that outfit all the waay off!...

thanks to stop by guys if u have time
have a wonderful day
i love it when older generations dress more stylish than the younger. looks frikken awesome!
and NOT mass produced, which is always good :)
Looks like a Burberry DB jacket from what I believe to be the equestrian knight on the gold buttons. I have the same.
The tie is Polo Ralph Lauren's interpretation of the timeless paisley pattern. I have the same.
One couldn't find a more masculine design for a tie and jacket.
The tie says: "I am man. I have the tadpoles."
The jacket says: "I am man. I could be a captain or a pilot."
I don't know what the hat says. I don't wear lids.
-Pietro
Further, great to see the elderly smiling. Verily I say unto thee, if there is but one duty expected of our elders it is to impart a sense of optimism and confidence upon the young.
The gentleman broadcasts inner and outer peace. Well done, Sir.
-Pietro
If that is meant for Old age persons I would love to buy it for my Grandpa. He looks great in those. He will be more handsome than the person who in the picture. I am sure or it :)
His hat makes his look so cool.
The blazer is so unique, so very vintage, I'm suprised there was one as rare. And what a perfectly shaped and timed fedora, it make's you wonder =)
great look!
Crisp and dapper!!! Excellent subject for this site!
Classic Chic!

Hi There!
Here is the proud owner of copy 1723 of the bespoke edition of The Sartorialist Book. I read through the whole thing last night and felt like I was part of the book, since i have been following the blog since 2006 and remember many of the photos, where and when they were taken, the comments behind them. It was fun, it will be a book that I will treasure forever for it embodies my passion for clothes, but above all for personal expression.
On a side note, I know you said you didn't want to write much and would rather have people form their own opinions and be inspired their own way, BUT I loved reading your commentary, maybe you can write more on volume 2!
Flavia.
Lovely looking man! Very chipper!

It's funny 'cause double breasted jacket are really back, even for youngsters; just as pocket square and men's jewellery.

Looks like a dapper-er Billy Wilder!
That hat is aaammaaaaazing :D
I enjoy your blog!
Old school chic. I doubt if he puts much time into his look - it's just automatic at this point.
I would like to go to the office and work with someone dressed exactly like this. Including the stylish red piped folder.
The tie is fantastic.
royal tenenbaum
His smile says, "you are damn right!" I hope I look half that awesome when I'm his age.
