Blogger Rafe New York said ... (8:25 AM) :

love the shot of cobalt blue in this classic ensemble. Italians have such a flair for color.

You know Scott, this is a difficult thing to say, but I think he is my favorite of your regulars. He's just so cool and hot at the same time and he has style to burn (eg. he can wear a chocolate brown tie with electric blue pants and make them look harmonious)!

This was hard cos it was a tie between him and Giovanna, plus there are the other other favs like Yasmin Sewell and Eva etc but I think, for me, he wins.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:38 AM) :

incredible colour
he looks amazing
i love his expression

Blogger Rachel @ The Haute Notes said ... (8:41 AM) :

I love those blue pants! It's such a fabulous color. I thought it was just going to be a man in a plain old suit... The blue pants were so unexpected!

Blogger Kate said ... (8:42 AM) :

where in florence are there velvet armchairs just sitting in the street?

Blogger Sartorial Vancouver said ... (8:45 AM) :

Love the slippers. Belgian Shoes out of NYC?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:47 AM) :

just amazing.

Anonymous SV3 said ... (8:47 AM) :

What an interesting colour combination. The deep teal shoes seem to ground the entire look.

Anonymous holly said ... (8:51 AM) :

WOW!!! I love the pants and shoes...Very suave

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:55 AM) :

someone please tell me that the beauty of his pants (which is such an amazing pop of color) and the tie/bow on the shoe doesn't look amazing--- i clearly need those pants in my life...and if they come in shorts

Blogger James Jean said ... (9:00 AM) :

...B/c Italians do it better......

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:02 AM) :

Quite nice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:06 AM) :

The shoes: Fantastic. The trouser...well and the tie..well. But an italien guy is able wear this in his own class of style.

Blogger I'm a mean street kid. said ... (9:21 AM) :

that blue is just so stunning

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:33 AM) :

The shoes kind of don't go with that outfit but I love the color of those pants. The bracelets also add a nice touch.

Blogger Bobby Humphrey said ... (9:39 AM) :

I can very much appreciate the blue pants, it brings something new to the party.. Also the small wristbands in combination with the outfit remind me of a some great outfits I've seen this summer.. lovely!

Blogger taryn said ... (9:46 AM) :

Great Picture! The deep saturated blue pants against that green velvet. Beautiful....and the shoes! Muah!

xx

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (9:49 AM) :

I love how all the fabrics in the outfit are of more or less the same weight, they seem to go together very well. It appears that both shirt and jacket have some sort of plaid on them? Interesting combination. He is wearing Belgian Loafers, which are always identifiable, togehter with Stubbs and Wootton. Love the outfit! Jorge from WPB

Anonymous Dawne said ... (9:56 AM) :

So blue! Not what I expected when I first scrolled down to see the photo. I like it with the brown tie.

Blogger Stefan said ... (9:57 AM) :

Love the pants and the loafers, not crazy about the upper half. When you have such an outrageous lower half, you really have to watch out what you do above the waist.

Blogger teresa said ... (10:16 AM) :

That blue hurts my eyes, but I LOVE it. Kinda like the way wasabi hurts your nose - but it hurts so good.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:47 AM) :

Great surname. Rubinetto is italian for faucet. Rubinaccio, I do believe, is a pejorative for Rubinetto. Rubinaccio could be translated as "Ugly faucet."

I love how blunt some Italian surnames are. As a kid I used to have a friend whose surname was Mezzatesta which, I'm not kidding, translates into "Half head."

Oh, yeah... I would mug him for that blazer.

Love the Belgians and the cobalt color, but the rest ain't happening for me - a little too disjointed.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:26 PM) :

Can someone tell me where one can get pants with such brilliant bright color saturation. I've been looking for some time now, with no luck. Thanks!

Anonymous A Treasury of... said ... (12:28 PM) :

The blue of the pants seems too intense for a camera to even deal with. So cool!

nice to see Belgian shoes outside of the US...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:10 PM) :

I am going to start following this man's Golden Rule...wear something that pops!! I like the pants, the jacket could be livelier, but consider this source of such style. Mr. R could make brown burlap look like the newest style you want to own. One of your finer subjects!!

Blogger Ko said ... (10:08 PM) :

Amazing!!!

Hi, These velvet loafers are from a company in Florence called Arfango and they have a shop in St Tropez, I distribute them in the UK. Fox from London

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:14 AM) :

When you travel to the Nether Shores of Colour Coordination you can risk getting very lost.

And I suspect the risks he takes are more enjoyable for us than they are for him. I mean, do you want to be doing business and looking down at those trousers all day?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:33 AM) :

Again, bare feet in suede looks overwhelmingly sweaty. At least he can slip his feet out for air when no one is looking, unlike the gentleman below, whose poor feet are trapped.

Blogger Scott W said ... (9:34 AM) :

Yves Klein pants!?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:56 AM) :

once my attention was taken away from the pants, I notice the shoes...stunning.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:01 PM) :

I'd love to see this man standing up. Whe I first saw this photo, all I really notices was the bright blue pants. Coming back to it today I realize the three different shades and of blue perfectly set off by the two shades of red, not to mention all the different and luscious textures. Beautiful. Andersonesque.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:14 PM) :

A man wearing pants this color... everything he says to you, you must listen to with undivided attention. I love it!

Blogger Dan in Richmond said ... (12:57 PM) :

Welcome back, Luca! Great as always.

Blogger Kristina said ... (2:09 PM) :

Ditto to what Scott W said. I've been looking for the sartorial interpretation of Yves Klein's famous blue. Does anybody make these pants in a women's 28, or any women's clothing in this color for that matter?

Anonymous eHaberdasher.com said ... (2:09 PM) :

Wow - ballsy pants. Love the softness of the jacket - it looks as comfortable as a favorite pair of flannel pj's (but so much better!)

Great photo Sart. Those trousers and tassel loafers look smashing together. The electric blue colour of the pants, in particular, makes me dream electric dreams. The chap's haircut isn't bad either. Beautiful.

Blogger Cassie Jo - Tofuscloset said ... (11:23 PM) :

the pants are electric!!

Anonymous Anna Tsurkan said ... (2:04 AM) :

its all about the tie and shirt+ collar combination to me!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:19 AM) :

A case of the pants wearing the man. And a too long tie running down his lap trying to escape the whole mis-managed wardrobe scenario.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:45 AM) :

how did the chair/shoe thing happen?

Blogger bird of light said ... (5:33 AM) :

I'm not too impressed, but his tan is redeeming, providing welcome contrast to his jacket, pants and tie.. he looks comfortable, and that's endearing.

Anonymous Verdiales said ... (10:31 AM) :

Glorious pants and utterly intriguing color combination.

Suede loafers without socks somehow look cool, temperature-wise, in a way hard leather loafers do not. Do they breathe better? They also look vastly more comfortable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:09 PM) :

This is a nice palette. And it works really well with his coloring.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:19 PM) :

This color scheme works well because of Mr. Rubinacci's deep blue eye color which is hard to tell from this picture. People forget or never even consider that their eye/hair color works well to bring out colors not necessarily associated with general color palettes...

So those of you rueing about your red hair, get over it and be expressive!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:46 PM) :

Those blue pants and loafers are amazing!! :)

Blogger Tim McFarlane said ... (10:10 PM) :

Man, I love this outfit! The blue trousers really pops just right. Great textures, also.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:44 PM) :

The slip ons are in fact from Rubinacci - yes they are almost exactly the same as the Belgian shoes out of NYC but these come in suede and the lighter colours all have contrast piping. Have a pair from Rubinacci in Mount Street that are grey with deep burgundy contrast. Very smart man this Mr R.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:35 AM) :

Hate the outfit, despite all the glowing comments.

The blue pants take over the entire persona, dividing the man entirely in half...I like a jolt of color, but this is ridiculous.

I am outnumbered in my opinion, but wonder if it is not the man's reputation for dress or your photography that is bringing in the high marks.

Blogger Maven said ... (8:27 AM) :

Blogger Zevaa said ... (4:28 AM) :
