Something in the Air? Lanvin, Paris

Another great collection from Lanvin - one of the top shows in Paris this season. Like BV, a mix of bold reds and purples played against a tranquil desert of neutrals.

I am very happy that the David Letterman-style of DB buttoning has been picked up by Lanvin this season. Mark my words, next season Lanvin will replace the current patent leather sneakers with patent leather wrestling shoes, circa Letterman 1985.

lanvin has just been superb these last couple of seasons

Wow, I feel so uninformed! I knew Lanvin did spectacular womens clothes, but I had no idea his mens line was just as sumptuous and gorgeous. That's a goal in life - to afford, buy, wear a Lanvin dress like I own the world. :)

It looks like Lanvin is bringing the romance back to dressing again!

Double breasted work on Letterman because he's tall and skinny. The majority of us aren't.

I love a good DB, but not buttoned that way. I'll be waiting for those wrestling shoes. EG Smith socks going to make a comeback as well?

lovely lanvin collection as usual, but i think the Dries van Noten collection was great, but i know...it may be a bit too european for americans...i hope yo say something about it..those print jackets and coats by Dries were heaven!

Letterman likes the 'flap' vent on his suits. Hideous.

Common elements in fashion shows are rarely coincidental.

Love the colors. We'll probably see more of them in days/months to come.

Lanvin is synonymous with classic elegance in my book. This men's collection is beyond beautiful. The washed out tones..the flow...you've captured it all.

Amazing. If I spotted a sharp Lanvin-dressed boy in my twon, I would immediately pounce. Don't know about the cap, however.. The model pulls it off well enough.

Anonymous Antonio Barros said ... (1:25 PM) :

Was my favorite show! I would use most of the clothes from the runway.

Blogger The Vintage Scene said ... (11:21 PM) :

Alber Elbaz, what would Lanvin do without you...

Anonymous Bombshell Kitten said ... (2:11 AM) :

The colors in the first shot are simply gorgeous! It all seems a very loungey, wine inspired deal.

Blogger The Clever Pup said ... (2:04 PM) :

I'd like the purple suit for my self.

What is it that Letterman wears on his feet. Loafers? Spats?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:33 PM) :

o Sartorial splendor....you do not miss a thing! Love the Dave reference....we'll look for the wrestlers in 10....you're da bomb!
yours truly
