On the Street......Belt Driven, Paris

To me this look is all about the belt

The belt is such a simple accessory, and yet I am just now really learning how to use one successfully.

Wow I love this, I love the hue of that red shirt. You're right about the belt, it compliments with the shirt and the pants. Again, nice pic.

Blogger Miiicha said ... (7:48 AM) :

Yeah the belt really stands out!

Blogger Ionatou Fleming said ... (7:48 AM) :

Is this the same guy from this post: On the Street......Modern Sleek, Milano I'm pretty sure it's him...

Beautiful!Unexpected combination of bright colors.

Blogger Ashley said ... (8:02 AM) :

This is a very sexy look and I loove the belt!! I would def. wear it!

Anonymous holly said ... (8:09 AM) :

I've always said if Eve would'nt have sinned we all could just wear only a belt

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:19 AM) :

where are these glasses FROM?

Blogger The Khaki Crusader said ... (8:26 AM) :

I'm just learning how to use a belt successfully as well. It's an underrated way to provide pop in a look. And once you get to a certain point, traditional rules can be tossed if the whole thing works

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (8:27 AM) :

I love the entire outfit, although I think seeing the shoes would tell us more about his color choices. The thing with a colorful belt like this one is that everything else you wear becomes sort of a background to it. I think I am now shopping for sunglasses like his. Jorge from WPB

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:29 AM) :

Very nice! The banded-collar shirt is also a great touch, slightly more unusual. I also love the gold bracelet to match the belt buckle!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:32 AM) :

I love the shirt. Great outfit!
un saludo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:34 AM) :

Lovely. A man who isn't afraid of colour or pattern. The belt is like a piece of jewellery. The snake hips help too!

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (8:34 AM) :

i like his glasses

and the very redness of the shirt

and the triangles on the breast pockets and their two buttons

but the belt? no comment

Blogger Rachel @ The Haute Notes said ... (8:39 AM) :

I agree, it's definitely all about the belt. It's so simple, yet the outfit would be completely different without it. I think it looks great, especially paired with the red shirt.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:40 AM) :

Low key, comfortable and stylish. The belt is an important accessory and this guy knows it.

I like tucking the shirt in at the front and letting the rest hang out.

Blogger regina said ... (8:40 AM) :

YSL belt......top!
yeah!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:44 AM) :

I love that this guy is unabashedly wearing a gold bracelet and still looks 100% masculine. Well done!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:45 AM) :

True indeed...belts can be hard to navigate!

Blogger Honeygo Beasley said ... (8:45 AM) :

All about the belt AND a long torso! : ) The style of the shirt and slim, low waisted pant elongate the torso even more. The red color of the shirt is fab, too, to go with the belt. Very ethnic looking yet urban ...

Blogger ROB said ... (8:47 AM) :

This image takes my breath away. What a stunning yet simple outfit! Kudos him!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:54 AM) :

i was just about to write the same thing... the belt makes the whole outfit! the red is great too!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:56 AM) :

The problem is that belts on women in jeans just over-emphasise the hips.

Anonymous regalBlue said ... (9:00 AM) :

The belt is a unique piece; looks like a Turkish mosaic pattern on it and I love the way the buckle is acting like a golden frame.

I would have preferred a pure white shirt rather than the strong colour in the picture ( but that's just me )

Blogger S. said ... (9:01 AM) :

Great Scott!!!!

Blogger Jolie said ... (9:01 AM) :

This is one of the best uses of a belt I have seen by a man. I love the contrast of colors!

Blogger Cheryl Cato said ... (9:05 AM) :

Great belt!

Blogger Bahrain Fashion said ... (9:06 AM) :

I like the belt. Looks cool et laid back!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:24 AM) :

Great stuff. Red shirt and black trousers work really well although I would have worn the look a little bit tidier. Nice gold accents. And I would have ditched the mobile 'cause that's the kind of guy I am.

Anonymous bula said ... (9:25 AM) :

the shirt is great...

Blogger Chevere said ... (9:41 AM) :

Without the belt this is just a plain look. Love the look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:57 AM) :

are his sunglasses the new ray bans?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:57 AM) :

Nice, very nice.

I agree, the red with the black is perfect.

Anonymous Noémie K said ... (9:58 AM) :

This blue belt is amazing* (especially mixed with red)
nice pics*

Blogger C. said ... (10:27 AM) :

And here I thought the red was the focal point of the picture.

The belt is really something else.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:28 AM) :

Even though the focus is about the belt, I must say his entire look is just marvelous.

Blogger pRiyA said ... (10:37 AM) :

like the shirt. guy"s not bad too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:37 AM) :

Ha-ha! To all of the naysayers -> The half-tuck is NOT dead -- when one has the right belt to pull it off!

Blogger Miss Y. said ... (10:47 AM) :

This look approaches perfection! I really adore his gold bracelet, and even the necklace, which I usually wouldn't really like on a man. It's all so simple and yet so sexy!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:48 AM) :

the sunglasses are dior homme. i own the same pair

Anonymous easylowdown said ... (10:50 AM) :

Love this shot. Though this look isn't for me, I agree it's all about that belt. I have a lot of trouble choosing belts. I end up just getting plain black and brown ones and those can really add a lot to an outfit, but nothign in the way of a 'feature' like this gentleman is pulling off here. Menswear speaks, barring quality, mostly with accessories I find... and belts is something I feel it'll take me a long time to master.

Thanks for posting this!

Blogger no-more-wire-hangers said ... (10:58 AM) :

a beautiful outfit. the belt perfectly breaks it all up.

Anonymous MikeyTee said ... (10:58 AM) :

Just for those asking about the glasses, I'm not 100% sure but they look like Ray-Ban 4125's (aka plastic aviators).

Anonymous style odyssey said ... (11:02 AM) :

incredibly cool! so effortless-looking.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:03 AM) :

Love the belt! I wonder what the shoes look like...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:03 AM) :

For me it's all about that shirt and this man's great physique. The shirt is different with the snaps and lack of collar but he really owns it. I do like the belt but there is so much red shirt that it really is secondary. Yeah, snake hips and a little bit of serpent head adorned with nice shades. Yum....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:16 AM) :

Ultra cool!

Blogger cami falcão said ... (11:17 AM) :

I really like the colours in this photo!

Anonymous mark said ... (11:33 AM) :

I love belts. They are the focal point on a man's body. A good belt ties everything together.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:45 AM) :

I recall your post regarding ribbon / D ring belts last summer that started a trend. Can we hope to see similarly bold ikat/print belts to this gent's before long? I hope so!

Blogger Sara said ... (12:43 PM) :

I love how the belt sort of stands out, but not in a bad way.He is pretty hot, i even like the bracelet on him hahah.

Anonymous Magsli said ... (12:55 PM) :

Adore this, i doubt it's possible for a man to look hotter!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:00 PM) :

Don't forget the necklace! It doesn't look like "bling" but it's so subtle it's barely there.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:27 PM) :

I love Milan Vukmirovic! His style is great.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:30 PM) :

WOW! I am in LOOOOOVE! The belt is awesome too! Thank you for this photo. ;)

..my boyfriend might be caught in something similar, i love the look so much!

Anonymous Bombshell Kitten said ... (1:55 PM) :

There's such an art to carefully putting together a simple outfit. This is fabulous, especially the belt.

Blogger american dream said ... (1:57 PM) :

yes, you always have to be a lil worried about this kind of accessorize, for some people it relly works out, for another one completely not ))

Blogger NATH_1 said ... (2:20 PM) :

Is that my friend Milan Vukmirovic ???

Blogger SallyO said ... (2:40 PM) :

While the belt is lovely, I find that just tucking in the very front of the shirt looks too contrived. Have some confidence, dude, and tuck it all in!

Blogger Hek said ... (4:04 PM) :

For me, it's all about how hot he is.. ;)

Anonymous olafgermany said ... (4:14 PM) :

Mr. Vukmirovic from Trussardi wears a belt from YSL Cruise men 2009 collection (YSL homepage, look 10). Maybe you can find him in a store.

Blogger Slimbykings said ... (4:40 PM) :

Anonymous claire said ... (5:45 PM) :

Blogger Anthea said ... (7:56 PM) :

I always love the warmth and color of your photos! Another great one :)

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (7:57 PM) :

I LOVE belts, they can truly change the simplest of outfits, and this outfit...is perfection! LOVE the red shirt against that gorgeous belt, simple accessories (especially those sunnies!) and velvet (?) pants.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:31 PM) :

hot.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (8:36 PM) :

Hey,

It's all about the belt and the hair...when wearing a pants like these ones :)

Anonymous an said ... (8:39 PM) :

the colors go so well together!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:41 PM) :

Whether by accident or design...this guy doesn't look like he put one minute's thought into that outfit.

The belt, bracelet and shades all look like his stalwart accessories...which just makes this all the more cooler and effortless.

And the just grown in shaved head is the piece de resistance...as though he simply can't be bothered to coif...

So...it could be about the belt...or...

xo

Anonymous Brandon Green said ... (8:54 PM) :

The belt is great, but I love those glasses.

Blogger S. said ... (9:11 PM) :

I'm not sure about the belt, looks a little surfer to me..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:10 PM) :

The colors & belt are great, but I don't think this look would work as well outside a still: he can't tuck the whole thing in because it'd look too formal and the half-tuck is stupid.

Blogger Aan said ... (11:14 PM) :

Isn't that Milan Vukmirovic? If I'm not mistaken he's a co-owner of The Webster at south beach? He shuttles around Milan, Paris and Miami I guess.

His style is effortlessly cool.

Blogger DENNI said ... (11:42 PM) :

how many times have we seen the red shirt/black pants combo, but he takes it that one notch higher!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:42 AM) :

I usually hate red and blue together but but this outfit is great.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:51 AM) :

the belt is divine, it looks like china! separately-- gentleman, take note-- this is what you should do when you start to lose your hair.

Blogger J. M. said ... (1:21 AM) :

Quirky!

Anonymous fvad said ... (2:00 AM) :

Vukmirovic ?? - flawless styling

Anonymous JR Lim said ... (2:41 AM) :

I think he's Milan Vukmirovic and he designs for Trussardi.

The red shirt is from the Trussardi collection 2010! And he was also photographed once by Scott for wearing a powerful necklace against a simple outfit. And the necklace was also from Trussardi.

If my guess is correct, he's a type of designer who sometimes designs what he wants to wear but mixes up with other clothing to get that wow factor.

Like how he picked out his own red shirt and own necklace, but still wore it so beautifully with other clothing. And the belt, not too sure if it's YSL but the Trussardi 2010 collection does have printed belts in beautiful colours.

Blogger hayleysherie said ... (3:24 AM) :

Oh this man is very sexy. I love that belt, but I also love the way his pockets on his shirt have a double point! I love that detail right now. I actually just bought a shirt very similar to this one...

Oh, but I definitely think the belt has become a forgotten accessory for men. Let's bring it back!?!

Anonymous K.K. Infratech said ... (4:20 AM) :

This belt is very nice and glasses enhance the beauty of pic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:23 AM) :

Which sunglasses are those??!

Blogger m. said ... (6:15 AM) :

wow, great look! besides this is a kind of men, I really adore.) maskuline, trendy and with some natural coolness. The belt ist super cool! hot summer!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:05 AM) :

The half-tucked shirt look tends to look a little contrived to me. Then again, how does one show off a belt but still maintain an untucked casualness? I don't know.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:29 AM) :

I loved the belt! Really charming. The belt stands out! I also love blue and red!

Anonymous The Stylist said ... (11:08 AM) :

Anonymous Ana said ... (12:50 PM) :

Milan exudes European confidence right there. A lesser man would have hidden his skull under a beret or worse a baseball cap.

Throw your caps in the trash, gentlemen.

Blogger whelkpoint said ... (4:38 PM) :

I agree, the belt is great, the shirt is great, but I find the execution of the half-tuck looks somewhat contrived; it doesn't look natural.

dear sart,
i look forward to seeing photos from your recent trip to toronto!

Blogger Hayley said ... (10:39 PM) :

i agree. the simplicity of the belt pulls the brightness of the shirt and darkness of the pants together into one rockin' outfit.

Blogger JConda said ... (1:10 AM) :

The belt wouldn't work if the shirt didn't fit so nicely. It's also a slightly more masculine look for him to only partially reveal the belt by the way his shirt is tucked in.

Blogger LIGHTHEADED STREET SALON said ... (8:59 AM) :

i agree that there is a particular science to belts. which isn't to say it cannot be spontaneous. but it has to be *right*

for me this belt is fully realized by the gold bracelet and the wonderful shirt - but they are working together.
