lovely dress and the clutch in that vibrant orange colour gives the outfit a cool twist and it's an interesting colour combination.

What a lovely dress! It's such a gorgeous color!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:02 AM) :

I hate to be negative but I don't like this! The cut is unflattering IMHO - too much gathering and too much fabric from the waist down and the ruffles up top combined with the tight waist cinching make the bust appear to hang low. Looks a bit like a Victorian nightgown in a stretch knit. Also the colour is a bit harsh on her. Sorry!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:03 AM) :

is that Elsa Zylberstein? beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:09 AM) :

Cute dress.

Beautiful color on her. And this is a perfect example of how understated sexy is far more interesting than overt sexy. Love it.

Anonymous The Stylist said ... (11:47 AM) :

That is a very beautiful dress, love the waistline and the color.

Anonymous joonks said ... (12:00 PM) :

the dress is to die for. the way it falls off her hips just after the cinching of the waist, the wonderful collar, and the length are all done with great taste. the colour of the clutch is superb, and her watch is very classy. the greatest thing about this outfit is how effortless it looks. she isn't distracted by her clothes - she is celebrating them by living them without having to think about them. she lets them speak for themselves.

don't know if that makes sense, but great outfit, nonetheless.

Blogger Angeles Almuna said ... (12:04 PM) :

Protected from the coarse ways of the world in in her own softly draped world of teal green.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:11 PM) :

In this particular case it looks as if the dress is wearing her. Although, it might just be her posture.

Blogger Nat said ... (12:16 PM) :

wow, amazing dress, beautiful colour!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:18 PM) :

Wow. Everything about this is just gorgeous.

Blogger Jen O said ... (12:34 PM) :

Gorgeous and obviously vintage by the shirred neck ruffle, silhouette, color and the uneven hem (it's all sooo 1970's). Can't get this one off the rack!

Anonymous Lisette said ... (12:52 PM) :

Gorgeous dress and great colour. The clutch is a great addition and the watch is nicely understated... wonder what she's wearing on her feet?

Blogger Rosalind said ... (1:09 PM) :

Wow! That is a truly stunning dress. I love the way it hangs- looks like its been cut on the bias? The colour is gorgeous and the ruffles just make it all the more charming. I also like the orange clutch as it adds contrasting (well, clashing!) colour. Nice waatch.
Definitely one of my favourite looks so far!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:11 PM) :

That dress is really beautiful and contrast well with her skin tone and hair!

Blogger green lantern said ... (1:20 PM) :

she looks out of place and your picture and her facial expression capture that. her outfit provokes no desire to be her at that place at that time. the color, the cut, the material seems to be off somehow. but great picture, because i can see and feel all of what i said through viewing it.

Blogger miss sophie said ... (2:26 PM) :

i love the idea of a silky long maxi dress in the summer - just not in NYC, where the idea of trudging up and down subway station steps in a floor-grazing frock makes me shudder :P. that color is positively beautiful with her skin tone and hair color though!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:39 PM) :

Beautiful, this outfit is absolutely stunning, as is the girl.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:48 PM) :

Anonymous Susan E. said ... (8:56 PM) :

does anyone have any idea who makes those, or very similar, black ankle strap wedges the other woman is wearing? thank you!

Blogger hc said ... (9:20 PM) :

an example where something on paper makes absolutely no sense, yet surprises you upon execution

it's in the draping and fabric where ease and allowance are exuded, despite the ruffles and length. the bike helps too.

Anonymous George said ... (10:31 PM) :

It's hard to pull of a look like this and not look like you're wearing curtains, but she does it. The lightweight fabric certainly helps, but as others have said she wears it very well.

My only disappointment is that I can't see her shoes. I'll have to imagine those!

Blogger Chloe said ... (12:40 AM) :

Oh wow, now that's a dress. A beautiful, beautiful, beautiful dress. The color, the ruffles, the orange clutch she's grasping in her hands. I love it all!

Anonymous Lauren said ... (12:51 AM) :

The hue of the gown is beautiful. It's so summery yet elegant.

Blogger S. said ... (6:23 AM) :

What I wonder is how this works in the city? Does the dress get ruined by her stepping on it?

The colour really suit her.

Blogger Ali Jane said ... (7:56 AM) :

I love this at first glance, but when I look further I can see that she feels uncomfortable - she feels out of place, somewhat. I love the colour and the style, especially the waist and the ruffled neckline, but have problems with the uneven hem (looks like the seamstress had a care factor of zero) and the fact that it does make her bust look a little saggy ... But overall I do love it - throw in some bust support, an even hem and a confident pose and it would be a winner!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:59 AM) :

this IS the dress that was on gok's fashion fix? h&m, i'm pretty sure, yes. she belted it like he did, and the ruffles are totally the same...and the colour. hmm a well worn h&m

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:24 AM) :

What an dreadful dress, the colour is quite disturbing and the overall design is frumpy and fussy - sorry I know I am in a minority of one, but I really don't think it does this woman (or anyone else) any favours at all - the type of thing some of my parents' more pretentious friends wore in the eighties...oh fashion...

Blogger Anne said ... (9:43 AM) :

She looks like Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth.

Anonymous someone said ... (10:19 AM) :

beautiful!
the colours are just amazing with the orange wallet/handbag, and the bracelet/wristwatch! beautiful girl as well.

Blogger noelakadjtambour said ... (7:18 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:07 PM) :

I can't decide if it's her tiny waist or the dress that makes the silhouette amazing

Blogger Laura Evrard said ... (11:45 PM) :

I love the high waist and the length of the dress, but I'm not thrilled about the ruffles on the neck and chest. It's a lovely color though. Is that Erin Fetherston in the photo?

Blogger hayleysherie said ... (1:14 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:20 PM) :

OMGoodness, everyone is totally missing! Along with this gorgeous and statuesque woman and Thom Browne in the background is . . . Tim Blanks!!! The peppered hair, the white pants, the untucked short-sleeve shirt that says I'm-on-permanent-vacation are iconic! YAY!

what a great colour on her skin tone. the gathering of all that fabric also accentuates her tiny waist. such a versatile, seasonless dress. very chic.

Blogger Cultivated Ah Lian said ... (12:14 AM) :

gorgeous dress!

Blogger The Honeycomb Child said ... (7:26 AM) :

The dress is H&M from about two years ago. It looks like a designer gown, but I know for certain it's H&M.

Anonymous MissRed said ... (4:29 AM) :
