Style Profile...Antonio Picardi, London
Antonio Picardi
Best Sartorial advice from your parents?
Do wear a jacket at dinner.
Style icons?
My Grandfather. His style was classic and sartorial, a jacket or suit for every occasion or time of the day. He had a passion for horses, sporty cars and holidays on French Riviera or the Italian and Greek Islands (and he was often taking me with him).
Describe your personal style…
Smart-casual, traditional tailoring.
Favorite designers?
Dries Van Noten, Prada, Nicolas Ghesquiere, Alber Elbaz, Thom Browne, CCP
Most cherished item?
Supreme skate-decks.
I feel best wearing?
A crisp poplin shirt, trousers with creases and a blazer with surgeon’s cuffs.
The first thing I look at in another Sartorialist's outfit...
Sharpness and comfort. Then the lapel, shoulder, back and cuff.
I never break this fashion rule…
Wear it with a rebel touch.
Never caught wearing?
A tie!
Dress to impress who?
The lady next door.
Shine your own shoes?
I wish, is a skill that only professionals have!
Your next "must have" purchase?
Supreme x Nike SB Bruin
Favorite item of clothing?
At the moment a Dries trench coat and my 30th navy-blue blazer.
How do you balance the suiting and skate wear in your wardrobe?
I like to mix skate wear with my more formal outfits to break-up the lines and add a touch of "me" to my more formal style. It takes me back to my childhood, and all of the youth-movements that were a part of it.
Most stylish city?
London.
When I was high school I wore?
The same style as Umberto I, king of Italy. I had to wear a uniform blazer, trousers with tape down the side of the leg, a fully buttoned shirt and a cape. My hair was cropped in the back and longer in the front.
Sports?
Pilates, horseback riding, polo and tennis.
Favorite vacation spot?
Where sand is white, sky is blue, water is green and the fish come to you ready to be cooked on a grill. Anywhere in the Mediterranean area, also the little islands in South of Italy.
Favorite neighborhood restaurant?
My kitchen.
Favorite cocktail?
Gin and Tonic, 2 ice cubes and a lime wedge.

I LOVE his wine red boots! I wasn't expecting him to be wearing that type of footwear when I scrolled down -great feature as always
xxx
Looking at him, you wouldn't expect him to fancy skatewear. It's real cool he does though.
I really enjoyed the interview and the photos that show the man with the smooth style! I love that he can mix the cool with the classic--all while showing restraint. I hope to someday look as comfortable/casual in suits as he does!

i like that he's showing a bit more cuff than is traditional...
Work??? Why in the world woudn't you ask him when it's so crucial to what you wear as a man?
cute guy,

J'adore! Very sharp dresser, I like that he adds personality to classic sartorial.
the bow tie... those boots... i love!!
Love his boots, and his impeccable style, great interview :)
xx
now that's a stylish man.
he's a reminder that great style starts on the inside. it may be cliche' to say that, but it's so true.
> Gin and Tonic, 2 ice cubes and a lime wedge.
Excellent taste, until betrayed by European-ness at the end. I suppose the second ice cube is an extravagent flourish.
Was für ein Mann *seufz*
i loveee the bowtie. he looks very put-together, i'd love to meet him!
xox.
The Voguette
I liked the profile - some of his answers were on the right side of silly (30 navy blue blazers requires an awful lot of grandsons to bequeathe them to). He is to be commended for pulling off an almost natural interpretation of the air tie
You missed the most important question...Are you married.
he's kinda awesome... just like those boots!
Who is he?
OMG, he is amazing. So clean, perfection!
I am really loving these features because the subjects have such a clear vision of their style. Whereas I have no idea about my own, lol. I suppose I should work on defining my style and where I want it to go.
I also love that they their styles are influenced by fuzzy remembrances of things past. style is all about being personal, right?
Traditional tailoring x Supreme x Nike SB??? Picardi you are my new thinspiration for my coming years (though that won't be for a while)!
P.S. Anyone know who the boots are?

nice booooots
Come home with me. And bring your boots!
Great looking man! And how cool you´re doing interviews!
One or probably my most favorite character here.
Hello, loverboy.
Lovely style, the man is so smart-looking and handsome.
i remember that first photo from a while back - the sharp suit, bowtie and boots. i always found it extremely pleasing. he has the allure of a film star. everyone is mixing formal with casual these days and it takes an extra touch to make it your own
Oooh, he's my kind of guy. Classic, but with a twist. His grandfather sounds awesome. Can never get enough G&T's.
Yes~! I wish more men found home in a bow tie~!
Truly an interesting gentleman. Those skate-style comments were way out of left field, I'd LOVE to know where that appreciation comes from. Does he wear Nike skate shoes with his pressed trousers and skate those Supreme boards on the weekends?
bow tie, bow tie, bow tie !
He's got such a classic style I never would have pictured him as a skater, except that in the second shot he has just this slight goofy/cute Sean Penn as Jeff Spicoli expression that betrays a bit more coolness and edge. Love him.
handsome and really chic! anybody can tell me who is him?
I'm wondering which colour of Supreme x Nike SB Bruin will he pick up ? (Maybe all ?!)
Oh, man!
This guy is awesome!
Hope he would try my brand.
dear Lord, I think I'm swooning... the words more than the outfit
He's sharp.
The bow tie is classy and refreshing. The boots are daring. And the second photo...love the combo with the naked collar!

Im loving the look. Looks perfect

I think it's funny that he answered that he's never caught wearing "a tie", yet in the first picture, someone did catch him wearing a tie. Ooops! :) Unless a bowtie doesn't count...
so cool
he looks amazing, sooo classic and pulled together yet fresh
Name checking Grandfather.
Supreme decks.
Rebel touch.
The lady next door.
Navy-blue blazer.
London.
G&T (more importantly - lime).
... No messing about in that list.
Wait did I really just read "Supreme skate-decks" as his most cherished item???
Really?
If you're reading this, I have a couple pairs of green "Supreme x Nike SB Bruin"(s) if you are interested?
Awww!! Huh,...Look at him in his little wee boots, soo sweet...!
molto casual-elegant. si
Someone please id those boots. I want them.
i love his look especially in the first picture
Perfect gentleman look.
juliet xxx
super crush.
Very Sexy ;)
urgh! his shoes are so disgustingly fantastic.
if God were a shoe, God would be this shoe.
Is the first suit blue, or black? Its hard to tell from the picture. Do you think the wine boots would work with a black suit as well?
Most Stylish City - London. I concur my dear sir, I concur...
...how long do you give your interviewees to reply to your questions...?
If they were all given off the (surgeon's) cuff, then fair play, otherwise the answers seem contrived...
...regardless, they seem to inspire so perhaps I'm just jealous!
oh my god i want/need those shoes!
I love these. Keep them coming.
i love his shoes, they're beautiful and wonderful
it was a plazer mr. Picardi!
Sharp shoes. Pity the trousers don't fit.
Well, those boots are pretty much amazing! More details!

hot man. killer style.
Mr Brown said it all.
You really need to do more photos in London - even when you had the big trip recently you went through London but you didn't upload ANY London pics :( Are we that unfashionable?
Isn't a bow tie a tie?
a modern day Cary Grant.
Love his style, classic features.
ah ***OH*** those red boots!
he wears a bowtie yet abhores neckties? interesting preference.
well dressed man!
Ciao Antonio! No wonder he's got great taste: he works for Dries Van Noten!
Love his suit. stylish
Does anyone know what brand his boots are??
now he's hot.
I am soooo in love....

the red boots are hot!
Yeah sure! Mountain/hiking red boots with a tuxedo! What else is one supposed to wear with a tuxedo?!!

Xavier
