I love everything about him... the blazer, the pants, the bike. Perfection.

Blogger Micah said ... (11:03 AM) :

a big 'yes' to this bike.

Blogger Girl - Personal Stylist said ... (11:09 AM) :

He seems to be so elegant!!! :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:10 AM) :

It s not a bike it's a Solex !

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (11:14 AM) :

wow

that he is wearing that jacket while riding that bike

Anonymous B said ... (11:17 AM) :

Apart from the fashion, that is actually an amazing pic, with the backdrop of the school bus.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:25 AM) :

epic

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:32 AM) :

this is how one should look when riding a bike
:)

Anonymous suzanne nelson said ... (11:33 AM) :

So cool. He looks great - he works those white shoes SO well - and it's a really great shot too, a very New York moment!

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (11:45 AM) :

I am going to be the voice of dissent here. The jacket is an excellent fit, except that there are no sleeves from the shirt he is wearing, and the jacket sleeves are way up his forearms. If you bring a jacket to the office to "dress-up" an outfit, and you are wearing short sleeves to keep cool, would you not wear your short sleeves only during your commute? Jorge from WPB

Anonymous MATTHEW ROSE said ... (11:47 AM) :

That looks like me on my vespa here in Paris!

Blogger ana said ... (11:59 AM) :

This is a great photo it says "I live in New York and I love it"

Blogger motorolo said ... (12:01 PM) :

the gray pants!!!!!!!... match with the solex!!!

that shoes seems to be even more comfortable than the solex's riding!..that's the reason why he's wearing the jacket even when is riding!

Blogger Burma! said ... (12:16 PM) :

He looks great. The bike is ugly, though. Riding in traffic, on one's cellphone, without a helmet is foolhardy.

Anonymous Sonali said ... (12:16 PM) :

Milan meets NYC
LOVE IT!

Blogger Mr Brown said ... (12:24 PM) :

Perfect shoes & trousers to go sockless.

So much better than all that silly Goodyear welt sans sock.

Blogger Philippe said ... (12:40 PM) :

Al Pacino on a "Solex", very stylish...Nice jacket

if only one could ride a bike in Mexico City...
if only i could look so cool while doing it.

Blogger underneath said ... (1:51 PM) :

You really feel the spirit of the city in this image. Lovely.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:02 PM) :

Does the Parisian in me spot a Solex ? We love them over there. I remember when my uncle was riding one, wya back in the mid-sixties....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:09 PM) :

This guy has every style that is in this season right now, checkers, blazer, aviator sunglasses, plimsolls, maybe a nice shirt underneath, this is the style!

Blogger Lily said ... (2:10 PM) :

makes me want a bicycle!

http://stylelikeu.com

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:31 PM) :

Tony Stark! ^__^

...sooo, are tight-fitting jackets actually practical, I wonder. I see a LOT of critical wrinkling here!

Blogger Nick Leonard said ... (2:34 PM) :

Great catch!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:36 PM) :

I hate to be a downer, but I fear for his handsome head. A cool helmet --there are plenty out there now-- would not spoil his look at all.

Blogger justbecausefashion said ... (2:37 PM) :

his is so cool!
xxx,
G&L

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:54 PM) :

LMAO!!! This picture is incredible!! Its so good I have to laugh! The man looks like he's doing a business call while on a bike! Not only that but he's really well dressed too!! His bike is so stylish it could almost pass for a car! His skinny pants and jacket make his look!

Blogger hc said ... (3:23 PM) :

looking more like roma by the day..

on top of bicycles, vespas are taking over avenue B

Anonymous larehpiprep said ... (3:28 PM) :

I have no idea how this whole sockless thing with blazers and nice shoes managed to catch on, but I think it's just wrong. I know Derrick Miller of Barker Black/Ralph Lauren fame has been pushing it for a while, but it just looks incomplete and even more incorrect with dress shoes. It's another men's fashion trend that I think guys of a certain ilk are completely out to lunch on. Sorry if anyone disagrees.

Blogger Angeles Almuna said ... (3:39 PM) :

Everything cool!!!! :)

Anonymous Amy said ... (3:59 PM) :

I think he just picked up that jacket at the dry cleaners...no other way to get it home...

Blogger .kubilus. said ... (4:04 PM) :

Slick look, comfy, cool and current. Even with the electric transport. This guy is lean, mean and clean on a green machine. Smooth!

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (5:28 PM) :

Great shot! Love the yellow school bike in the background, his cool outfit (no socks!), even cooler bike, and old building :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:16 PM) :

Love the clothes, but no helmet + cell phone + traffic = dangerdangerdanger & a dumb look.

Blogger Oscar said ... (10:23 PM) :

Anonymous Mariona-Elle Blog said ... (3:08 AM) :

11, fantastic pic !!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:37 AM) :

It's always great to see people on bikes and looking stylish.
I'm pleased that the health and safety "you have to wear a helmet" brigade are outnumbered in the comments too. Learn the facts about cycle safety and helmet effectiveness before telling people what to do. And ride your bike looking cool without a stupid, pointless helmet ruining the look.

Anonymous Sara Lua said ... (5:13 AM) :

I love this man. He is perfect down to his trim pant legs and soft oxfords. Even his bike is kool!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:20 PM) :

I love your photos showing biking with style; what great examples of not having to choose between auto-free transport and looking good.

Anonymous olafgermany said ... (6:37 PM) :

I am soo boring, but like everybody I do love this style. This is my way of being, a little retro chic. Now I will buy a Solex...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:59 PM) :

The bike is a solex! Great and so cool!

Blogger Tijana said ... (9:43 PM) :

these "startas" sneakers are having a big comeback recently. but these are the traditional ones, from 70's, if i'm right, originally workers' shoes. i prefer them... and they are not so comfortable, but probably the quality follows the price, and you can throw them away without being sorry.

Anonymous Fredrik said ... (10:19 AM) :

The hair! And the pants!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:41 AM) :

I really like the plimsolls too; big in Europe, but still considered 'girl's shoes' by too many sexually insecure American men. Wear them with socks or no, but for the love of god don't wear long pants with those short quarter socks (I see a lot of that in Seattle; I thing the guys think it's a 'jock' look). Sorry to go off topic, but this is an incredible peeve of mine. When wearing long pants, make up your mind; socks or not, just don't go 1/2-way; you just look silly.'

But this guy is great! I just ordered some cool Ted Baker plimsolls from London, but I'm going to check out Startas!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:18 PM) :

e. munster on the go!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:25 PM) :

Great picture. Pretty sure thats not an electric Solex though... its got a 2 stroke gas engine you lever down over the front wheel... not the most eco-friendly thing in the world. Looks very stylish here though... I've got an old orange one thats been in storage for years and this pic makes me want to get it back on the road!

Anonymous Carol said ... (9:41 PM) :

I love this shot so much I don´t even mind his style!

Blogger DENNI said ... (1:06 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:57 AM) :

Perfect equilibrium. Old England.

Blogger Lujain said ... (11:29 AM) :

The look is fabulous!
I love the length of the pants paired with those gorgeous shoes. And the design is magic

The blazer's fit is pure perfection. I'm sure this man had a stroke of genius when he woke up that morning.
The bike was the perfect touch to his elegance.

hats off to you friend.

Blogger Katherine said ... (12:18 AM) :

i wish all men dressed like that.

Anonymous IL DUCA said ... (8:20 AM) :
