On the Street......Color Trim, Florence

I could shoot a Navy & White combo at Pitti about a million times. Here, however, I love how the little red scarf detail and the orange trim on the shoes take the look to a whole new level.

I love the way he does his belt, and the stripped scarf adds a nice touch to it.
Bello!

This is a classic with a couple of twists: the scarf as you said, and the trim of the shoes. I think it works mainly because it is a classic. I would only change the belt but all in all this is a great look! Jorge from WPB

I'm beginning to notice that a tan and some scruff on the face go a long way... and nice shoes of course!

There's hope for me in the next ten years. Perhaps I can look this good, too. Setting a good example for the rest of us.

Anonymous JAM said ... (9:31 AM) :

aern't his pants a little short? or are the pants supposed to be a little higher if you're not wearing socks?

I do like the orange on the shoes.

Anonymous A Treasury of said ... (9:40 AM) :

It doesn't seem too studied. Just thrown together with his basics and favorites. Well done, sir!

Blogger ADG said ... (9:46 AM) :

Love the trouser length...works great on slim legged trousers.

Blogger Jamie Jonathan Ball said ... (9:53 AM) :

NO SOCKS! the best things about summer ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:20 AM) :

Very Italian Dandy Guy!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:51 AM) :

Like the man in the white suit, we want to see what shoes are worn with white pants. These are a great choice as they don't break the line and cut his legs off at the feet and the rim of color gives it more pizazz. If you hadn't said that was a scarf at his neck I would have thought it was a necklace of some sort. He looks good, neat and tailored but casual and his styling is done with a fairly light touch. By the way, do these men wear any kind of sock when it looks like they don't? The shoes must get stinky; what's the deal?

Anonymous sandra said ... (11:18 AM) :

I love this guy...and Florence is the most beautiful city of the world !

Blogger Hawa said ... (11:19 AM) :

i love your ability to make me (21 year old female) wanna wear what this gentleman is wearing...i love when fashion and style have no boundaries!

Anonymous AnonymousJK said ... (11:53 AM) :

Love the uniqueness of the shoes and how they work so well with the navy and white... Something I wouldn't have thought of, but will definitely try now...

Blogger Maria Confer said ... (1:33 PM) :

I love this look, so pulled together but also laid back. Such a handsome guy!!

Anonymous Humbolt said ... (3:07 PM) :

That's it! Next time I am going shopping I will buy a deep blue shirt and wild leather loafers (have fallen in love in some I have recently seen) and combine it with my white trouser and black leather belt! Perfect!

Anonymous kt said ... (3:17 PM) :

He is fabulous! Why do those Italians have the BEST shoes ever?!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:21 PM) :

the orange trim on the shoes take the look to a whole new level....which the Godfather gold chain completely annuls. eeek.

Blogger Valerie said ... (4:55 PM) :

*So* Italian! Love the looped belt and the accessories that scream confidence.

Blogger Jana FitzGerald said ... (6:19 PM) :

I lived in Florence for a period during college. It's been 5 years since I was there, and I'm going back in two weeks. I really couldn't be more excited, and I especially can't wait to document the many moments (this being a good example) that I've been romanticizing since I left.

Blogger Caity180 said ... (7:54 PM) :

...perfection.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:32 PM) :

Great look but pants are too short! Ewww!

Anonymous Michele said ... (8:55 PM) :

love that he still looks manly

Blogger seawallrunner said ... (9:52 PM) :

it's not the beautiful clothes that he wears
it's not the healthy glow of his skin
it's his attitude.

he is so comfortable in his own skin, it's delightful to see. he exudes friendliness

what a great photograph.

well seen, well done.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:37 PM) :

he's handsome but i don't think that i like this kind of cut on his kind of build. and the shoes make his ankles seem ashy. sadly, I feel that this is a no though I want to say yes because of the touches of color. still, no.

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:29 AM) :

It hit it out of the park. not at all art directed like they do here in los angeles...I wished all the daddies here in la looked this good.perfect pant lenght & taper.
scarf adds the perfect splash of color.his naked ankles are HOT !
HOT HOT

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (6:17 AM) :

Indeed. Matching colours on different products can take a whole outfit to a new level!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:00 AM) :

He's so elegant. I'm looking forward to when my boyfriend reaches his age ;)

Blogger The Khaki Crusader said ... (8:36 AM) :

can't miss

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:04 AM) :

This guy looks great, but only thanks to his tan. If not that, the whole composition would be very average and not note worthy.

Blogger Jodie said ... (11:04 AM) :

well nice joie de vivre. the orange piping on his loafers are very very nice. tanned but not too tanned. i don't know how i feel about short sleeve shirts though.

Blogger Dan in Richmond said ... (12:43 PM) :

The scarf definitely makes it for me. The bracelets are nice, too, and work here in a way men rarely seem able to pull off.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:10 PM) :

already mentioned i love his style and on second glance, i really love the look in his eye. seems mischievous and fun.

Anonymous Oliver said ... (3:55 PM) :

do somebody know where i can find that shoes?

Anonymous Questioner said ... (4:41 PM) :

Glad you mentioned the scarf, Sart; I thought it was a cheesy ball bearing necklace at first.

I love the Italian preppy look and the navy and white combo. Love the shoes (but it's hard to overcome tears of conditioning to accept the mismatched belt).

You're starting to make me think about the cropped pants (although I think my legs are too short). But is anyone in the US outside of NYC really wearing them? I've seen no guy here in San Diego wearing them. Of course, it's often hard to find a guy in San Diego who's not wearing a Hawaiian shirt, cargo shorts and flip flops.

the shoes are awesome. where can i get those?

Blogger ellastica said ... (7:22 PM) :

white pants are tricky, esp this fit, how it narrows at the ankles. he makes it look natural though. love the crisp color palette too. looks great with his tan.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:25 AM) :

Yes the suede shoes are amazing and timeless.
Paired with the shade of midnight blue - WOW!
And the dash of orange...superb!

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:46 AM) :

Costa, what are you doing in Florence? you cool/handsome boy! will visit you in Milan very soon!

Blogger jackieG said ... (2:38 PM) :

this photo is perfect. i love the duplicity of the shoes and the wall, the jacket and the shirt, the pants and the ground and the belt and the window. great composition.

Anonymous rachel said ... (5:09 PM) :

costa costa is ALWAYS the best!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:09 AM) :

i love the belt,
it's so cool...
it's an Orciani belt.

Blogger Keith said ... (12:34 PM) :
