On the Street......Blue Byrne, Brooklyn

This feels so "Soho circa 1980" to me. A David Byrne/Basquiat moment.

this reminds me of a gucci ss09 casual look for men!!!

Blogger Jamie Jonathan Ball said ... (9:47 AM) :

theres something beautifully impoverished about this photo..its true that television has other uses.

Blogger Angeles Almuna said ... (9:48 AM) :

the hair and the fry boots just polish it beyond amazing.

I love when you remind me that you're a photographer first, and a fashion person second.
I like you much better that way :)

Blogger Stefan said ... (10:02 AM) :

While I agree with the retro feel of the photo, in my opinion, that doesn't make it okay.

Totally. I actutally thought it was a jumpsuit, at first glance.

My hair looks exactly like that when I wake up in the morning, except it looks good on him. Cool TV!

Brilliant. A strong look but makes it seem effortless and uncontrived- very stylish. Great photo!

Blogger kayang said ... (10:26 AM) :

This is great, and the color is so vivid!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:33 AM) :

Love the blue, and I have identical boots that make me feel like a million bucks whenever I wear them. The boots save it from looking like a uniform.

Anonymous Nicole said ... (10:41 AM) :

Yes, absolutely 80's and absolutely cool.

Blogger cami falcão said ... (10:55 AM) :

Sorry, Sart. He looks like he's in prison garb.

Love the boots! Jorge from WPB

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:08 PM) :

Really nice boots, somehow despised by fashion people lately - I have a very nice pair and I have heard things about them such as 'too Harley Davidson', 'too gay leather macho-man', 'too 90s tacky'

Welcome them back!

Blogger Philippe said ... (12:11 PM) :

Another great pix, love it...

What a beautiful, vibrant blue. He just pops right out of the background! I love the the texture of the bricks behind him as well. They really add something to this shot...a certain je ne sais quoi. I agree with HouseMouse—Fryes really do make you feel like a million bucks!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:07 AM) :

shame he's married

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:57 AM) :

Yes, a beautiful blue on him. I love how he's holding his hands in this photo, very nice hands and ring. The broken-in boots are wonderful too, they would look even better with a little saddle soap and leather polish. :-)

Love these Brooklyn pictures! Keep it real...

Blogger The Couturier said ... (2:20 PM) :

great photo! beat up frye boots are definitely unexpected element of his ensemble. dont entirely understand how the neo-expressionist reference comes into play tho (apart from the fact that he looks like a throwback from the 80's)

Blogger junglesiren said ... (2:31 PM) :

Brother from Another Planet.

Anonymous Scarlett said ... (2:48 PM) :
