Comments on "On the Street......Blue Byrne, Brooklyn"
this reminds me of a gucci ss09 casual look for men!!!
theres something beautifully impoverished about this photo..its true that television has other uses.
definitely Basquiat!!!!!
feels pretty awesome to me!
the hair and the fry boots just polish it beyond amazing.
great shot!
I love when you remind me that you're a photographer first, and a fashion person second.
I like you much better that way :)
qu'est-ce que c'est? fa fa fa fa
i completely see it!
but i mean they are both great people to get inspired by.
Can't be beaten... that is a fantastic picture! Great colors and feel. Bravo!
While I agree with the retro feel of the photo, in my opinion, that doesn't make it okay.
a beautiful picture.

gah! the hair! THE HAIR!
Totally. I actutally thought it was a jumpsuit, at first glance.
Oooo, I'm in love with this whole look! Great hair + monochrome midnight blue + beat up brown boots = perfect.
How cheerful.

My hair looks exactly like that when I wake up in the morning, except it looks good on him. Cool TV!
Brilliant. A strong look but makes it seem effortless and uncontrived- very stylish. Great photo!
This is great, and the color is so vivid!
Love the blue, and I have identical boots that make me feel like a million bucks whenever I wear them. The boots save it from looking like a uniform.
Yes, absolutely 80's and absolutely cool.
great portrait.
LOVE those boots!
he looks as though he were made to wear that vibrant blue with the mohawk; true style
Sorry, Sart. He looks like he's in prison garb.
He looks like a person from an Edward Hopper painting...
love the atmosphere.
Love the boots! Jorge from WPB
Really nice boots, somehow despised by fashion people lately - I have a very nice pair and I have heard things about them such as 'too Harley Davidson', 'too gay leather macho-man', 'too 90s tacky'
Welcome them back!
Another great pix, love it...

What a beautiful, vibrant blue. He just pops right out of the background! I love the the texture of the bricks behind him as well. They really add something to this shot...a certain je ne sais quoi. I agree with HouseMouse—Fryes really do make you feel like a million bucks!
television man
Makes me want to know his story... or to make a groovy one up... striking, beautiful, real.
the hair, not so much for me but what an incredibly handsome face and hands!
the blue is nice too.
true blue describes the season!!
impressive Mr. Blue!
The two pieces in such a strong colour reminded me of prison uniforms.
ABSOULTELY
your caption is exacty what i thought
love love love
def. reminded me of a prison uniform at first glance... love the boots! look like fryes
perfect. coincidentally i am listening to girlfriend is better at this very moment.
Love the blue jumpsuit & love the hair!
Looks like a funky album cover. "Songs in Blue/My TV Don't Work and My Boots is Beat to Hell: What Do I Do Now, Baby?"
Oh this is just incredible. People like this exist? Must move to Brooklyn.
he's the dude
shame he's married
Yes, a beautiful blue on him. I love how he's holding his hands in this photo, very nice hands and ring. The broken-in boots are wonderful too, they would look even better with a little saddle soap and leather polish. :-)
Love these Brooklyn pictures! Keep it real...
although the hair is not that good but i like his confidence. :)
COOL MAN/BLUE BIRD
I love the way you capture Human and not only Fashion :)
i like it :)
Jim Jarmusch character !
This reminds me of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest...
This picture makes me smile, and long for New York even more! I really appreciate when pictures tells a story. And this one, I could make a film about :)
TV splodge perfectly aligned with the head of the mohawk + peacefully crossed hands. feeling that. in fact feeling the whole alignment + all the shapes / colours... this is just beautifully composed... nice one!

I love this photo!
great photo! beat up frye boots are definitely unexpected element of his ensemble. dont entirely understand how the neo-expressionist reference comes into play tho (apart from the fact that he looks like a throwback from the 80's)
Brother from Another Planet.
he seems to have a sadness about him, despit looking completely confidant
the boots are amazing
and he really reminds me of red in shawshank redemption
Sucker for bright blue if every I met one, this photographer.
Amazing!

this is so inspiring. capture wise, it's my favourite of yours.
so he's wearing the outfit because he's moving that TV, right?
A singular total look! Spreads joy to the world.
Looks like a prison jumpsuit to me, at least at first glance. And the hair reminds me more of Kid n' Play than of Basquiat, but you got the decade right.
beautiful tone of blue!
reminds me of Johnny Depp in "Cry Baby". In a good way. xoxo.

that's incredible a sudden cry, a shitty teardrop moment. shit this one woke up some feelings i wasn't aware of.
you should share that one with the psychology department.
i would love to try to explain my feelings right now, if i could speak better english
Great shot! I love how the broken part of the TV screen almost mimics the shape of his hair. Bravo!
