mystical....
Very chic......

I love this style and her hair is so modern.Simple and Chic!!!!!!!
What a wonderful hair style. Love the black and white outfit, the white trim at the hem of the skirt, and the extra-long sleeves used as a muff. It's nice to see comfortable flat shoes for a change.
Love, love, love the entire outfit! I wish I could see what type of bag she is wearing. Does anyone know where she got these shoes? Is the skirt actually two skirts? Adorable!
Nice haircut. But I think her clothing could be more flattering.
i'm not that tall, so i almost always avoid long skirts past my ankles. but on her the long skirt and oversize cardigan goes really well with her features. her outfit is almost like an extension of her own features. such a comfy and intellectually chic look!
Love her hairstyle... and the whole classic look!
wow! so ethnic and chic!
i love her taste
so elegant
Love how her hair sweeps across her face. Very feminine.
I like her haircut, kisses.
the pose complements the look perfectly.. so beautiful.
ohhh her hair suits her outfit so well!
An example where a great haircut makes all the difference.
she is so beautiful, she reminds me of a japanese geisha
beatiful geisha
Yes yes yeS. Beautiful trend-free STYLE.
there is just something special about her...
Wow! What a stunning beauty! Her style shows a lot of personality which is very important in my eyes. Moreover that asymmetrical, fashionable haircut fits her perfectly. Love it! It's awesome, indeed.
elegance par excellence!
Oh my...her style is so 'fresh, clean and suits her....head to toe.perfection..thank you.....
Everything about this is absolutely gorgeous.
She looks wonderful, and especially against the warm tones of the reddish brick and stone.
As a silhouette I find it a little less than it could be--although this may have to do with the pose. One wants a little more narrowness at the bottom to balance the bulk of the cardigan. But if she were to stand differently, or walk or sit, the skirt might conform to her body more, and provide that relief to the eye. Anyway a good example of an Asian woman working her look, and taking advantage of Japanese design.
I really love her hair
i love this photo, that cardigan is perfect.
xox.
The Voguette
God I love this shot. Something about her expression and her arms, the DOF, and the angles of the building.
Wow, so clean..
ooh ! I love how the red brick wall makes her and her clothes stand out more.
Stunning hair and stance.
I like this one, except for the hair style.
It's nice to see the modern take on traditional styles. Or is it traditional styles using modern garments? Which ever, it works.
Oh no! I don’t like the outfit at all. It's SO unstructured. I love an unstructured voluminous outfit but this is just unflattering. But I love her hair and she is a beautiful gal, who turns heads for sure.
wow. she looks remarkable. the hair is AMAZING. women can be much more seductive when covered up.
for me, this type of modesty and grace = true style.
with that haircut, she could make anything work. it doesn't hurt though that she's wearing a great cardi!
The picture captures a chilled, silent kind of mood. Simple color, simple lines, stripes on a sweater. Spare is good.
i love everything about this photo, especially her hair and skirt. the girl is beautiful, she looks so serene and elegant. for me, there's something very unexpected about this image, i feel very surprised - in a really good way!
Love the haircut and the colors (black & white) of the outfit...
love her hair, she is very pretty
this is beautiful.
Her hair is just simply stunning.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Babe...
I would like to be her. Because of hair and flat ballerinas. Yes.
elegance defined.
http://www.styleanthem.blogspot.com
I love how her hair adds the necessary structure to this outfit! What a lovely gal.
she looks so graceful. like a ballerina.
Whaouuuuu ! j'adore cette élégance simple !
First off her hair looks fantastic. Very chic. Secondly, I love her outfit. It's very difficult to pull this off as there is no tailoring and can create a shapeless figure but she successfully looks charming and stylish in a carefree and subtle way. Very knowingly breaking the concept of fashion and it's ridiculous 'rules'. I say thumbs up!

Beautiful. The hair, face, placement of her feet and the whole modern take on a classical contrapposta really add so much to this image aside from the clothing.
menonite-chic.
incroyable!
m.
The haircut, the lighting and the attitude. That's what makes this.
great black-white coordination. the hair goes perfectly with the outfit.. and look at those lips... pure beauty
I like that you can see her black Peds peeking at the edges of her flats..
that's how I wear mine too.
Stunning. Obviously she is very beautiful, but I also love her short hair, off-white stiped cardi, long skirt, the trim on the skirt (swoon!) and the flat shoes. She looks incredible and unique but also comfortable and practical - a remarkable achievement.
love her face and hair the most in this pic!
The photo is stunning.
She is way past fashionable or stylish. She has something few people have. She's positively elegant. Who can pull that off these days?
Composed and graceful, femininity defined. Btw she is not a geisha.
lovely pic, she has an amazing haircut!
The outfit overwhelms her figure and it gives her body no semblance of shape. Can't even imagine how odd it would look from the back. But with amazing hair like that, I forgive all.
aw, look at her little footie socks! She looks comfortable and elegant.
pretty, like a painting
Wow. Comfortable, quiet and delicate details, sophisticated, textural, soft yet strong, unexpectedly chic. She's knows she's going against the trends, and it seems to make her even more stylish. I love how her sleeves have become a muffler. Her clothes are loose, unstructured, and yet they oddly convey a powerful sense of structure to me. She looks like a work of art. Her clothes are hiding her body and yet you get the impression that a beautiful female form lies beneath. Her hair--what a flattering, modern foil to the rest. I don't know if she could pull off the look so effectively without that cut. I love, love, love this blog, but this is the first post I've ever replied to. Something about her look speaks to me in the most pleasant way. Perfect.
How beautiful she is! And her hair, wow, can she pull it off perfectly!
oh I love this. She looks so serene and lovely. Her hair is perfect for her face and the whole energy of the photo is just spectacular.
amazing look, very original in it's simplicity
Clean and classic! Perfect.
Sublime. She is so well put together.
her hair, her hair, yes yes!! me likey!
Tiffany Darling xoxo
Visually stunning, elegant silhouette! Among your best shots and styles ever!
lovely sweater

Oh! LOVE this photo/outfit! Her haircut, knit...are just gorgeous!

Wow im not sure why but i am totally amazed by this picture
the girl looks so graceful and natural, like she knows who she is...im envious!!!!!
plus her hair is so majorly cuteeee!!!!!
I so enjoyed the suspense about the skirt length as I scrolled down to view the photo for the first time. It did work at many skirt-length positions . . .
Sublime! This girl is art! What a look, and what a cool demeanor!
She looks like a dancer.. the way her feet is poised. So graceful. Sometimes it's not what you wear. Really, it's just who you are.
I love the hairstyle...
Very pretty. I love the whole look!
the lovely haircut reads as a touch grown-out/shaggy but nice nonetheless. the outfit is fine, it's the pose that makes it work and even so, I'm still opposed to the footie-socks showing.
This is incredible. There is something about the way her skirt echoes the shape of her hair that is just stunningly subtle. Not to mention her face is absolutely gorgeous.
who IS that?
Monastic chic. Fabulous.
gorgeous! and the haircut is awesome
Completely elegant and completely wear-able. Brava!!!
I hope this inspires an exploration of how long skirts can be very sexy.
I want to follow her around and see what she wears every day. Love her!
wow. this is gorgeous. there's so much grace and beauty to it, it seems unreal
i'm going to cut my hair like this one day when I get the courage.
Hi there! I don't see perfect very often.....
nor do any of you.......I suspect!
This is what perfection looks like!
Wonderful!!
Penny
Thanks for finding...and sharing!
how to look like Poetry, and not a boring sort of Poetry.
Fvad.
gorgeous...i think i'm in love
Not too sure about the Nippo-nun look but the haircut is amazing!
oh say it is so! are you really (FINALLY) coming to my fabulous homeland that is australia???
ps - this girl is stunning. i love how she is standing, like a ballerina!
what are people wearing in Harlem?
For me, this pic is all about her hair. The cut is beautiful. The shape of her skirt is interesting but much too long in length. Although I really love her sweater even though it is a bit oversized too.
yohji would be pleased.
I love this style!nice haircut.
i like how you caught her pout and yust a half of her eye!
She's beautiful, and i love her hair
She looks in harmony. Her style, her serene attitude... her clothes just fuse with her aura/personality.
This is really pretty and she knows how to pose.
That's my niece!!! Am proud and blessed to be her Aunt.
Love the oversized cardi, and her hair style is perfection!
Great boyfriend cardie, she looks so chic.
theheartbreakinc.blogspot.com
Oh, I would say she got the feeling of those Chinese around 1919.
this reminds me of the great minimal styles that came from Japan in the 80's - perfectly updated and easy to live in.
The woman and the clothes and the photo are all just breathtaking.
looooove the cardy
Wow she looks amazing!
like the hair...the whole zen like feeling of the picture...very well captured and translated on camera..
... zen master...
OMG this woman is stunning. LOOOOVE the hair. I can see what people are saying about the skirt echoing the hair, and I agree, but I still don't like skirts of that length. Still, a marvelous look. Would love to see inside her closet. Bet she also mixes it up with much sleeker looks. Marvellous! I wonder who does her hair. :)
Did you notice her little socks peaking out of her flats? Lovely.
Looks so comfy...Amazing.
I think the shoes might be Marc Jacobs Collection Fall 08-- the little socks which some commentors have notice is actually the velvet lining of the shoes that is meant to be seen?
gorgeous. she has an intuition for simple soft black lines.
She looks classy and comfortable - elegantly but discreetly styled. I Love a good cardy, and she's wearing it perfectly.
love this look!

A perfect combination of traditional and modern. A reminder of that skintight is not always necessary (if ever).
a special lady, but she reminds me a bit of a nun. Great haircut!
All the people talking about how the clothes don't "flatter" her clearly have a quite limited expectation of what cl1othes are meant to do for the wearer... here she is not flattered, per se, but there is something dramatic and poised about her silhouette, which is far more exciting.
I think I will take from this look a reminder to sometimes wear things that don't always make me look taller/slimmer for the sake of the pure drama of it!
Luv the hair. She is so gorgeous. However, there are three of us viewing and we, "oohed" and "ahhhed" until we scrolled down to see the way long skirt. You lost us. Love the pic.
A true beauty. Amazing hair, sorry... i know im supposed to notice the clothes. But that hair!
Bob,
LA
What a beautiful woman. Love her style!
so austere- beautiful.
She's a knockout, I'd love to meet her....
This woman, she possesses that type of beauty and presence that is ethereal, transcendent, and timeless. She is a muse-- the type of beauty that inspires fashion rather than follow it.
And the stark and graphic lines of her clothes, hair, and stance so beautifully striking against that warm terracotta background. Once in awhile sir, you give us something quite special! Thank you.

brethtaking beauty.Lovely hair...
the outfit has too many layers/is too baggy...and what happened to her hands?
cool hair though
this is the single most beautiful picture you've taken this year! and she is such a beautiful person!
Effortless.
This is SUCH a cool look (and photo too)....
I was lucky enough to travel to Tokyo last October, so to me (and anyone who's ever traveled there ?)
....this is a common, hyper-cool look seen on the street!
kool haircut :)
Very elegant.
Wonderful Photo!
Striking bone structure and divine style.
Perfection!
As an Asian(Chinese)woman myself, I think it's a very good example of traditional and chic style combination. Just love it!
i know this girl!
we had life-drawing together, i remember her wearing those harem pants long way before it was even featured in magazines.
very edward gorey!
I'm just missing my Milo.....
Great proportion and shaping with each piece - very very hard to do well.
This is perfect. Best shot I've seen in months.
Very cool shot and an equally cool outfit. Could never in my wildest dreams imagine wearing something with even the slightest similarity to that.
She is beautiful!
what lots of people seem to not take into account is that there are other issues at work in the sartorial world than dressing to optimize the illusion of a tall/svelte body. There are cultural issues of modesty that don't have to be dispensed with in order to be fashionable. This woman is a perfect example of this - she is exquisite!
We could all learn a lesson on subtlety from her...
AND THAT HAIR!!!!
Looks like it's a doubled skirt or something.
I think she's managed to get everything perfect.
I agree with sillyfilly in that she looks like she could be a dancer with the way she holds herself.
I wonder what her other outfits are like?
Oh my god. She looks so beautiful. It's breathtaking. No doubt about her wonderful beauty.
superbe !
just beautiful, her pose and style is similar to images one expects to see in a gallery.
gorgeous.. she is very beautiful :))
the angles of her gaze, her hair, her skirt, and her stance make it for me.
love the hair!
Lovely! But I think if I wore this, I'd look like a loaf of bread. :(
I like the shoes.
it's her sweeping left foot and the warm red bricks behind her that transform confirm this outfit's magical expression of taste
love the shapes, the volume and the flow. the contrasting balance of firmness and fragility. i imagine that she is petite, yet she doesn't let the outfit (or the grgeous haircut) swallow her. and maybe it's the photograph, but the detached confidence is almost rebelliously holistic.
i LOVE the hair, how it curves and hugs her face..
she looks amazing
Perfect
everything about this picture is glorious.
Sometimes the simplest and most understated clothes are the most beautiful. What a striking pose.
I think this outfit looks fabulous on her, but most people wouldn't be able to wear it and look good.
Her hair is so cute!
