love the shirt!! and the hair
www.blogdljr.blogspot.com
like me, my friend Claire is a sucker for a striped shirt
such a lovely jacket and i love her hair... such beautiful curls!
STRIPES! Especially navy ones. One of my many obsessions and I love to see people 'working them' like this.
Oh her jacket is lovely. Its a shame adelaide's (SA) fashion sense is somewhat substandard.
Have a lovely day and enjoy our wonderful country :)

I love the combination of patterns and colors; they are totally unexpected but work really well especially with the fit of the clothes.
That is such a great combination, the striped shirt with that jacket. I love it!!!

Nice mix!!! I like the diferent colors of the look and the jacket. I'ts great.
Genial mezcla de colores. me encanta también la combinación de cuadros y rayas y los distintos colores del look.
Great!!

so perfect
her ensemble just inspired mine for today. And, I simply love the delicate light in this photo...it seems to suit her casual, easy outfit and that far-away expression she has.
She and the mixed plaids guy would be a nice pair together :-)
I like her hair, too
EMMA!!
what a beautiful woman
after theses pics from australia we all know it: the world has a new fashion capital. - it is sydney.
She looks fab- have the same jacketand striped top. gonna opy her look.
Love the striped and plaid mix.

so natural, i love it.
this makes me happy, i would wear something exactly like it. its built of classic pieces but spun so nicely
EMMA ! who else from Sydney that I knew would get on this site ? This outfit, however marvelous it is, it's truelly nothing compared to some of the things she can throw together. A true gift ! And a total babe
the mix of stripes and plaid check plus her wonderful curly hair makes this really individual and stylish. that blazer looks vintage, but it fits her so well!
Love the jacket.

I enjoyed the architectural background of the image. Having lived the 80s, I would say this is too literal 1980's for me to enjoy. Don't we learn from our style mistakes and do it better the second time around, designers? Jorge from WPB
the color is so different there....in Australia...the light seems to be colder and cleaner than in Europe and America....
her whole outfit is simply stylish her hair is gorgeous. Australia is beautiful! The lighting is perfect...

i am loving these shots from sydney!
it is a pity you don't have any more from melbourne though. i was looking forward to seeing the edgier look of melburnians!
...hipsterism is not over...and probably will never be?! I like how she is able to make it her own thing.
That's eerily similar to what I'm wearing right at this moment... interesting experience :p
Eh, I dunno... It's probably my childhood experience of giving my mother fits every time I combined striped with checkers that is throwing me off.
Lovely!!
Wonderful mix of stripes and checks. Beautiful hair. Great lighting. A perfect shot!
Bravo on the Australia photos! It makes me love my country and people even more to see them on your site. Hope you both are having a wonderful time.
She totally rocks that jacket. Great light Sart!
Nice use of stripes and checks.
I love the Sydney coverage!
Dull, dull, dull.
I love it, checked and stripes.Nice hair :-D
Love everything! I'm a fan of mixing patterns when it is done right...like in this picture! I think I would have liked tame hair better for this outfit though.
Love the mix of patterns/textures.
beautiful girl. that jacket is stunning on her, the fit is extraordinary. without the jacket and her amazing brows, its a bit ho hum seen it before,...i think the contrasting patterns add interest.
i use the same combination of patterns, i have khaki trenchcoat with plaid pattern and a stripped b&w polo shirt. good to see im not the only one. =D
hate to say it, but these Australia looks are seeming - behind the curve - somehow. like they're cleverly playing dress-up as opposed to being sarts... maybe its just too casual down there? i was hoping for some color/riskiness...
oh! très chic!
Simple. Yet, strikingly beautiful.
I love this. So cool and retro.
Love the jacket and shirt combo - so carefree, relaxed, and interesting. Great look!
love the combination!
wauv!
love the colors and patterns and textures.
wooo~forever young!
She looks exactly as Cordelia in Brideshead Revisited! And I just love the mix of patterns!
love the shirt with the jacket!!

Love the jacket and the checks stripes combo... I also think the hair makes it special.
Relax beautiful girl with a retro style, I love it!!!
That's quite a poetic picture. I've spent an hour meandering through your blog. I wish you and your family well, now and in future and hope the good memories always remain.
this girl is lovely - this is the Sydney i know! glad to see you out and about in oxford st...what do you think, i wish you'd comment a little too with your posts?!
I love this blog!
so cool!
^^
i must say garance's photos are stunning of australia, whereas yours are good and interesting and all but she has just stepped it up and shown some awesome looks.
I love the feeling you've captured in this image. And the Australian light looks so different to all the other images.
Yay to College Of Fine Arts students.
We are so hip.
her hair, facial expression gives that extra edge....love it.
this is more dressing for the weather -it was very
cold yesterday -beautiful clear skies though-suggest you also go to newtown for more individual looks
I simply love this girl and miss her so much.
Oh, and the clothes? Well nothing needs to be said about that - its EMMA.
embodiment of cool.

Firstly, is this not the future of fashion? When the earth reaches its final hour in 5 billion years (when the sun ceases to burn), is this not what we should all be wearing for a new civilization? This young lady has presented us with a relaxed utopian outfit - stripes and jackets should be embraced not only for fashion, but for the survival of the human species.
yay emma! COFA students are some of sydneys best.
Hey Sat!
I hope our city is showing you the love! I love this picture the mix of patterns is fantastic...also i think I own the same top and jacket...INSPIRATION!
Will you take a trip down King st, Newtown? You'll be bound to find interesting individual tastes there...
the mix of pattern is unique, I like.
jess s//
I love the checkers soo cute and old fashioned.
http://thefashionreview.wordpress.com
she looks like she doesnt care what people say about the outfit.. & that is most interesting in this pic..!
It's funny the way the light here is so different from the rest of the world... like the Australian sun puts its signature on every photo.
brilliant combination of stripes and checks. I love everything about this effortless style!

5 would have agreed on king st, newtown 5 years ago, but visiting there the other week after being away for so long i was teribly disappointed. it's become so generic and - sorry - oxford st!!!
now, i'd say pop up to newcastle and come out on a wednesday evening or sunday afternoon!
this look is great and i love it, but it's everywhere. it's the aussie 18-25 year old uniform for going out for a quick coffee or to the pub to see a band and have a beer!
great photo, great clothes!
looooove striped shirts!
they are classic.
I often wear them with
little pearl necklace that goes along the neckline
Go COFA students!!!
she's cofa? I was pretty sure I recognised her!
I wish my hair was nice to me like that everyday, I love the look in her eye.
what a style
oh i'm so proud of my fellow aussie!
Three very simple elements donned without embellishment--no handbag, no scarf, no jewelry to "pull the look together". At this moment in time, young Ella looks totally comfortable in her own skin. Brava!
what a babe.
Love the mix of stripes and checks x Sushi
So pretty! Reminds me of the general style here in NYC at Barnard College.
yes, the more grown up version of hipster. i'm not mad at that at all.
COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL OUTFITT, me encanta !!
1:47. behind the curve? perhaps you just don't get it. Different country, different style. Which makes the world a bit more interesting no? Aussies have the repuation of being laidback and its hardly surprising this national characteristic is reflected in fashion.
it's absolutely perfect.
i like how the two patterns go with eachother, the stripes the checker-ish coat
yes shoes!
This picture is so wonderful.
Its so dreamy like.
Love how she works the different patterns and the fit is perfect for her body type. She is so cool but without that Im trying to be cool stance that some folk have
thanks!
looove the pattern clash! i want that jacket.
love the jacket
I really like this look.
i think i'm in love
I love the mixed prints. There is something very comfortable and effortless about this get up; it makes me smile.
The hard lines of her checks and stripes -- and then the squiggles of her hair. It all holds together.
this girl is so extraordinary looking. shes so beautiful, like from another era
I think this is a very beautiful picture, especially the jacket and the girls face is very nice (^_^)
Patti Smith anyone......
check n stripe... cool
Great jacket!
Love the lighting, and the bokehs look really good here aswell.
Another great shot!
A beautiful look all around. And such gorgeous light.
The hair and outfin would look great on a guy as well.
Sexy bitch Mickey... We love you. And Brook says hi.
What face ! What skin !
i love the combination of the plaid blazer and the stripes. she's beautiful
Great combination! I wear my navy stipe top with a similar jacket and its makes me feel really fresh and masculine (im a girl) and thats the vibe she gives off too.
oh wow. i wish i had the shape to pull this off. what an effortless yet put-together look.
I LIKE THE JACKET! REALLY CLASSY.
