That shot is crazy.

Blogger Taylorgotbeats said ... (6:06 PM) :

nice pair of boots

Blogger nurse fiction said ... (6:11 PM) :

Oh gosh! I do adore him and his pictures!

Anonymous Chesley said ... (6:12 PM) :

I think pants can be too tight. I'm seeing a lot of guys wearing tight to the point of being tights kind of pants and I am just not carried away.
The fellow in the Le Marais photo has a little breathing room all around, that seems okay, I guess I'm not a thigh gal.

Blogger Benjamin M. Dasher said ... (6:19 PM) :

This is really just filthy. I like the shows, but the rest of the outfit is too "dirty rocker" for my tastes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:22 PM) :

Looks feminine (hips, legs)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:30 PM) :

He was born in a cross fire hurricane they say.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (6:41 PM) :

I don't know who he is, but he looks GOOD!

Blogger Josh said ... (6:43 PM) :

Great. Just great

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:47 PM) :

He looks like Michael Hutchence had he kept on living.

Anonymous Redy said ... (6:59 PM) :

He's like flying ... look how god the photo is ...(the photograph of course ...) !

Blogger Stephanie said ... (7:01 PM) :

Kinda sexy.
Scruffy-cool, effortless, devil-may-care...what's not to like?

Blogger KCox said ... (7:05 PM) :

thank god for a pointed toe men's shoe. if there is one shoe style I am tiiiiired of seeing all over DC, it is square toed mens dress shoes.

Anonymous Venusian said ... (7:05 PM) :

The boots are mesmerising...

Blogger Nataliexxx said ... (7:09 PM) :

Rock 'n' Roll is he

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:17 PM) :

Michael Hutchence of INXS, circa 1987.

Blogger Dan the Scout said ... (7:18 PM) :

Olivier Zahm [Purple Magazine]
The purple winklepickers are rather appropriate!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:31 PM) :

It's a really great photograph of a man mid-air!! I love the feeling that this is a sudden glimpse that is created by the bodies in the foreground.

However, the clothes themselves feel predictable and not fresh: plaid, super-tight (gray) jeans, pointy shoes, small leather jacket, purple, even the transparent-rimmed aviators...

I know you dislike the expression, Scott, but, unless I'm missing something, it feels a bit too on trend. Most of the people you show us are in their own orbit more so than this guy.

Blogger -Just- said ... (7:37 PM) :

awesome. greaaaat shot.

Blogger MJ said ... (7:45 PM) :

He's definitely got the Cool Factor. Effortless.

Blogger aLvin. said ... (7:46 PM) :

wow, its very rock in my opinion.
great shoes.

Blogger Words Between the Spaces said ... (8:01 PM) :

Great shot--so much action, so much attitude!

Blogger JEBEVUZ said ... (8:03 PM) :

Blogger Donnie Gayfield said ... (8:12 PM) :

I appreciate the slim pants as I've seen enough hip hop baggies to last me two life times!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:14 PM) :

looks like he's walking on air!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:26 PM) :

appears that he isn't even touching the ground. Guy is red a mess kind of way

Anonymous aggy said ... (8:46 PM) :

Sorry, but he reminds me of Charles Manson, never a good thing. It must be the hair. I just don't get what people see in him.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:52 PM) :

its elvis of our generation

Blogger Matias Bouhet said ... (8:58 PM) :

street-sublime , great.

Blogger Caleb said ... (9:05 PM) :

Blogger heath said ... (9:41 PM) :

ah oui, the neu french andy.
sweet boots.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:14 PM) :

I agree with some of the above comments, as soon as I saw this pic I thought of Michael Hutchence, very cool, I love this look, great shot!

Blogger JL said ... (10:19 PM) :

I like this look...sort of poet-maybe past rock star. Plus...he has nice shoes.

Anonymous fashion lady said ... (10:52 PM) :

The pants is cool!

Anonymous zuccotto said ... (10:56 PM) :

Good photograph, the movement caught through the people in the foreground, as another poster said. Also like the orange tram backdrop.. movement is sort of 'packaged' here.

The boots look like cowboy boots, very routine where I live now. I've nothing to say about the clothes or the man, just like the captured moment.

Blogger kelse said ... (11:05 PM) :

good timing!

Anonymous Matthew S said ... (11:17 PM) :

very nice shoes. where can i get the shoes or similar pair?

Anonymous duncan said ... (11:21 PM) :

Russell Brands older more down to earth brother!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:26 PM) :

No, it's Javier Bardem playing Michael Hutchence in a biopic.

This kind of rocker look is classic by now.

Anonymous Amor de Cosmos said ... (1:02 AM) :

This fellow just goes to show the truth of my lifelong contention that a nice pair of western boots, like the ability to quote Shakespeare or the Old Testament, is a social asset in any crowd. This is as true in Paris or Milan as in Calgary or Drumheller.

Blogger JURIS..!!! said ... (1:19 AM) :

what a nice pointy-purple-shoes !!!!
and looak at his leather jacket

Blogger syd vicious said ... (1:29 AM) :

Fantastic shoes.

Blogger John Christopher said ... (1:47 AM) : this man, and this is such a genius shot of him. Such a great capture.

Blogger ece arar said ... (1:54 AM) :

Blogger Rachael said ... (2:10 AM) :

this is awesome!!!

Blogger Rachael said ... (2:12 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:15 AM) :

god i love this guy...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:28 AM) :

Anonymous FVAD said ... (3:05 AM) :

scrolling: starting from the uncombed hair, Aviators , scruffy beard & leather bomber; that's a look I'd Endorse..

the Drawcord, the tights , the brilliant but aliented boots & even the Glide..mmmm that's a No No..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:29 AM) :

it rocks, looks great and the situation funny, busy man!

Anonymous produse de slabit said ... (3:49 AM) :

I would say that the "poet" part is made by the papers in his hands.

I also like the little bow under his jacket. Delicious!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:48 AM) :

the taller guy in the background is less fashion, but very nice too

Anonymous irem sarihan said ... (5:21 AM) :

killer boots or what!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:57 AM) :

As others have said, very Michael Hutchence, but even spookier, Milano looks very Melbourne (and so does he). Goodness knows how the two of you are going to find anyone in Sydney.

Blogger Mykoli said ... (7:04 AM) :

good photograph! i like the drive, the momentum... feminine hips & décolleté, do not like much his hair, though, looks too "fucked up"

Anonymous A chicette in Paris said ... (7:10 AM) :

Just how does Olivier keep his hair the perfect amount of French creative craziness? I wonder what it looks like when he leaves the hairdresser!
Love his purple shoes!

Kisses from Paris!

Anonymous Morgan said ... (7:26 AM) :

Great shot! One of your best I think.

As to the guy, he looks very cool and the boots make the whole thing

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:40 AM) :

He is a ravaged adonis.

Blogger Miss Glove said ... (8:16 AM) :

Wow!!! Nice man!!

Blogger Geoff Smith said ... (8:18 AM) :

I'm totally going to start carrying around 5.25" floppy disks as my go-to accessory now after seeing this picture.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:43 AM) :

great shot, great style. LOVE the color of the boots.

Anonymous dreamcrusher said ... (9:03 AM) :

He is so gorgeous!
My ultimate crush. So stylish, so handsome, and such a talented fashionisto!

Anonymous Freddy said ... (9:35 AM) :

He looks very much like Vincent Gallo in his movie Buffalo66 (Gallo wears those same boots, grey thight jeans, hairstyle and the most amazing lead color trucker leather jacket).

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:38 AM) :

Blogger cami falcão said ... (9:46 AM) :

love this portrait, great moment!

Blogger sophia said ... (10:46 AM) :

I love the photo and the boots are great

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:14 AM) :

What a beautiful shot!! The shoes hardly touching the ground, it reminded me of a verse in pre-Islamic Arabic poetry. Beautiful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:29 PM) :

the purple boots rocked the look

Blogger Betty Blackbent said ... (1:19 PM) :

For some reason, that drawstring bow is bothering me to no end.

That, and if your pants are so tight it's best to find another place to carry your keys...
Overall, though, it's a jolly look and the plaid shirt is especially nice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:48 PM) :

Wham, Zahm, thank you ma'am !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:39 PM) :

gold star all around. mmm, love it. would love to be walking with him, hanging on to is hand for dear life.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:07 PM) :

boots are Gianni Barbato

Blogger Ko said ... (8:24 PM) :

His style looks like Vincent Gallo.
I like the combination of gray denim and wine red colored boots.

Great shot!

Blogger Journeys Through Fashion said ... (10:07 PM) :

My eyes went straight to the shoes. Great, eye grabbing color.

Anonymous phyllis said ... (10:25 PM) :

ParTAE! He looks like he slept in his clothes - cool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:56 AM) :

super sexy. Would anyone have any guesses as to what pants/boots they are?

Blogger Olviya said ... (7:52 AM) :

very interesting purple shoes. i also like that guy ony the backstage, who is waiting for the bus)

Blogger May Kasahara said ... (11:21 AM) :

oh my dear god those boots.
hell yes.

Anonymous said ... (10:27 PM) :

Not sure if I like that outfit! The guy in the background looks much better!

Blogger Ly said ... (10:42 AM) :

Looked as if his feet were in the air, not touching the pavement...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:57 AM) :

this guy is HOT - I think Micheal Hutchins reincarnated, he is a sex machine!

Anonymous En Mode Fashion said ... (3:44 AM) :

So amazing shot !

Blogger Kay said ... (5:10 AM) :

My favourite thing is by far the layering - I love it! The way the upturned shirt collar picks up the collar of the leather jacket = effortless perfection
