is that the guy from darjeeling ltd?
Oh...Waris,such a huge multifaced talent!
I'd hop on the darjeeling limited with him anyplace anytime...
Wow, he's so good looking.
Waris? Still laughing at his role in The Darjeeling Limited. Frankly, I find his clothing well fitting but drab. Is that a fashion or a religious choice?
I really like his pocket square, but the rest I am like, no. Jorge from WPB
Hey, it's Waris Ahluwalia! Awesome outfit.
Waris is just soooo cool!! I always love his look!
Kisses from Paris!
xoxo

waris waris! nice.
i always thought it took balls to rock his headgear.
OMGorgeous. such a dreamy man, this Waris.
he was on the season premier of the new show the unusuals a couple weeks back!...and hes made a brief appearance in the inside man with danzel washington...way to go singh!
Nice suits
Waris is so, unbelievably cool.
this is kind of incredible.
one of the best-dressed men you've posted this year!
though I wish he'd tuck the lining back into his lower left pocket...
So cool.
reelartsy.blogspot.com
Extremely classy.
I really like the unprobable contrast with the backdrop.
I love this guy so much.
Yup, it's the train conductor from the Darjeeling Express. The one who had an American accent and hated snakes.
What a sick sikh
Wow - what a beautiful, elegant (and talented) man! i love that suit on him and the contrast of his black turban and beard with the other colours, its striking but subtle at the same time. It's a great photo, Sart.
Waris Ahluwalia is one of my serious actor crushes
So handsome. Great picture
I like how he has draped his scarf like a turtleneck... his pose is great... the jacket kind of long... the yellow cabs in the background provide a nice contrast..
waris is AMAZING. such a stud!
i'm half sikh and its so inspirational to see that he hasn't lost touch with his background.
So this would be a chic sikh?
It's hard to say that the turban may one day become the thing!
Nice photo
love love love the little pocket handkerchief...very Cary Grant
Is that linen or wrinkled wool?
Waris always looks sooo cool, he can even make a speedo look good ( like he did in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou ).
Love Waris...love his work!!
A friend of Wes Anderson's, Waris is also in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and is an accomplished jewler. His collection is titled House of Waris.
He is really very stunning indeed.
ooh helloo there!
What's that singh on his head?
Curious to know what fashion house he's with, since those are the only people you seem to photograph.
Lovely suits :-D
Oh yes, I love this !! I never see well dressed men, except for of course, your blog.
love always
haha, he look awesome!!
xoxo L.
isn't he a jewelry designer as well?
Great suit, and love the pocket square. He looks fantastic.
YES! Love it.
So,so and so manly look.
looks very upper-class! Nice that a business man can still respect his religion:))
OMG I fell in lOVE! he is amazing. I just love, phone number please, anyone?!
What a handsome man. And he could teach the ladies on this blog a thing or two on how to rock a turban.
So effing gorgeous. WANT.
Love his Jewelry
He WAS in the Darjeeling Limited, he also designs really beautiful jewelry!
Ahluwalia! Creative guy. House of Waris has amazing jewelry! But, you'd have to go to India to find even more amazing jewelry and design. He's catering to the tastes of the West. Nothing more.
Beautiful picture! Look at the perfect line of his nose!!
waris is the shit.
Oh yes, now I understand why I've always been attracted by Indian men...
I Love Waris!
A beautiful man, beautifully dressed - a joy to behold!
I am in love to! Love love love love his look and HIM EYES! He could rule the world, i'm sure he rules NY.
God, he is sexy
Love from Denmark
That pocket square is the only thing bothering me in this outfit.
he is so cool!
love the look, he's fashionable, but not a follower of any trend..he is just himself and that makes him very inspirational!
x
COOL
I love the color of this suit and the pocket square.
I love Waris Ahluwalia!
I love that people were recognizing him from Darjeeling Ltd, but the first thought I had was Life Aquatic.. oh well.
The hankerchief in the pocket is a nice touch.
I thought he looked familiar - he's very sharp, very funny and very good looking :)
everytime i see that man i want wear a turbant in my head like right now,i'd have see him on icanteachyouhowtodoit
Waris Ahluwalia style soo cool!!!
xoxo fm MX
I love the way his black headwrap and beard frame his face. Wearing lighter colors also draws focus to his face. Very fine sartorial tactics!
SICK!
Such a beautiful man! I love his turban and the clean simplicity of that suit. It would be great to have a CU of his pocket hankie.
haha this guy is funny. Love him in Darjeeling Limited.
This dude is cool, cool, cool. I really like his suit. There is something about it that draws you closer. Like what the heck is it anyway, looks like a fine wale corduroy. Great bluish tint, love the camel scarf and the pull-it-together hanky. I wish I could wear a turban now.
I need him with me here in Sacramento (and what I wouldn't give to have that happen . . . sigh)
Waris x a.p.c perhaps? love it
suit by norton and sons
This is an awesome, awesome look. Great eye, Sart!
Waris is so fine *blush*
I love his pocket square! He is awesome!
This is a bespoke suit, of italian origin? I would assume a tailor from naples. i doubt this is a suit from Norton and sons, because it is not highly structured.
that is one awesome indian. represent!
ive never heard of this guy before?
can i say how much i adore his pocket square? reminds me of the dresses from Prada 07. Wonderful!
xox.
The Voguette
I love how that little handkerchief jumps off that drab suit. This is a religious uniform of sorts, but it reminds me of Catholic high school when we would find unique ways of self expression through the drab uniform. Shoes, hair, a belt, suspenders, anything we could find to adorn our uniforms became our mode of identifiable self expression. Fashion is loud even when it whispers.
Wow! A very noble face.
Ladies, look and weep.
He's Sikh. He belongs to us! And we're not about to give him up!
Mai Harinder Kaur
I knew that was Vikrum (sp?) from Steve Z's submarine.
What a surprise!
He's gorgeous and trim. What's not to like!...
Love it! The detail of the pocket hankie...the tasteful scarf....the whole outfit screams "dignified, elegant, classy". Great pick! I love how it's simple but quite a statement.
HEY! Its the great character from all the Wes Andersen films!
love love love the turban!
Love Waris look! really cool and chic!
This sikh is rocking!!
Oooh, I do have a thing for the Punjabis and the Sikhs <3 He looks so handsome!
It'sWaris Ahluwalia ,the Indian American jewelry designer and actor.
I wonder what kind of....'thing' he's got in his jack-pocket. He looks dapper!
It wouldn't be a style blog without Waris.
He seems to be appearing everywhere these days.
Now that's PRESENCE!!! It seems fewer men possess that now. Applause!
i saw him at a seu jorge concert, awhile back. awesome
god damn he is so fine.
So very handsome. Sigh.
Sikh chic!
The worn-ness of the suit would otherwise seem daggy, but the decorative pocket handkerchief shows he knows exactly what he's doing... as does his stance.
This pic also shows how dusky and muted colours can be brought out by a bit of black accessorising - whether that's a turban or a handbag or the colour of your hair. I wonder what shoes he's wearing...
no, this is not a "religious uniform of sorts." i know plenty of sikhs who wear bright colors. all the religious comments above are irrelevant, particularly when the commenter does not know what he/she is talking about. true, none of the comments were disrespectful per se, but please don't make judgments about something you don't know.
I knew I'd seen this guy somewhere before! Great combination of colours. Obviously the beard is a religious choice, but it does lend a touch of class, too.
So awesome! The turban makes everything look elegant and effortless
Singh is King!
I don't know. To be honest, I'm not feelin it.
waris!
with a face so beautiful, he could wear a potato sack tuxedo and who would notice.
totally smooth
powerfuL
Love this!
I'm not really liking his outfit actually, but that is irrelevant because this is WARIS!! he looks good regardless
re the "rocking the headgear" comment, i don't think he is wearing the dastaar merely as a fashion choice.
he does look great, though!
wtf are any of you talking about? it's waris. he's beautiful, smart, talented, and always dapper.
YAY! A sikh into fashion like me!!!
Chic sikh.
so so cool
hello, hotness. great colors. perfect face. staring at this one for inordinate amounts of time. it's becoming a problem.
i don't know who waris is, but he is downright handsome.
I love his beard. Sometimes I wish girls could grow beards too, they look so cool!
Also I like his pocket square, it looks like it has flowers
I do love his jewerly!!
I love Waris. He is such an amazing actor, and is always dressed so beautifully. Keep photographing this wonderful man :)
That´s why N.Y. is amazing... So many cultures, so many different people in just one place. Great photo! No fashion victim at all...
Lilly B.
Waris is soooo chic...he's muse material!
Thought I recognized him. His mother was my next door neighbor when I moved to NYC. Nicest woman in Brooklyn and she gushed endlessly about her son.
I've always wondered whether men with super long beards wear scarves and if so, how do they wear them. Does the beard go inside the scarf or out? From the photo, I guess beards go in.
Waris!!!!!! love his work !
love this guy !
Waris rocks! what a talented genius...yet so humble!
Just when I thought this blog didn't feature well-dressed men, you had to go and prove me wrong.
Yes, awesome. The colours work extremely well. Excellent shot too -- his character almost seems superimposed on the background.
I am TOTALLY diggin' the Eastern improvisation on the Western "power suit"!
Darjeeling Ltd. is definitely the first thing I thought of. And The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
wow - he looks timeless, classy, worldly and downright gorgeous all at once.
He is a hottie!
The chic Sikh..
COOL!
so very ralph lauren!
- px
i like a modern look mixed with something personal (cultural in this case)..
