so much shoe love

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (5:53 PM) :

interesting shoes!

Blogger Daisy said ... (5:59 PM) :

I love her rocker look, and the fact that she appears to be rather curvier in build than most of the well dressed people we see on the site. I believe it is more challengning to be well dressed when you arent as tall or thin, but she rises to the occasion and looks completely comfortable.
She looks beautiful, she looks confident, and she's rocking every part of this outfit so, she wins.

Anonymous marC said ... (6:00 PM) :

I'm loving the mix of hard and soft elements in her outfit. And those shoes!

What an unexpected combo - love it - it all works!

Love it, she shoes are unique!.

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:39 PM) :

Love her yellow nail polish!

Blogger Tristan said ... (7:41 PM) :

Still looks cold in nyc, the luxury of 4 seasons gives options to mess around with the wardrobe.

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (7:58 PM) :

Amazing from head to toe!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:40 PM) :

Hooray! Tomboi cuteness up top, a real person's body, totally great shoes, and she looks like she's having a lot of fun. More like this, please!

Blogger JULES said ... (9:36 PM) :

Anonymous kellyoxford said ... (9:37 PM) :

is she a photog? artist?
i love the yellow nails, the little leather gloves over the fingerless ones and yes, those crazy platforms.

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:45 PM) :

Ummm...that's not what curvy looks like. But yes, she looks fab.

Blogger frank adam said ... (10:09 PM) :

Shoes are bananas! Great look, it's like a sexy, tough, slightly butch-fem, version of a cabbie on teh TV show Taxi. Makes me want to go listen to some Jackson Browne. Beautiful smile yes, but that has more to do with genetics or teh good lord, than it does with fashion.

Blogger beths said ... (10:13 PM) :

I love this, especially following some of the too-precious, skinny fashion shots. (Though the photos are always high quality.) She's for real.

Blogger southerngentinL.A. said ... (10:24 PM) :

Veerry nice. Definitely a lady that would get my eye!

Anonymous camerafilmroll said ... (10:55 PM) :

The shoes!!

Blogger lenmeister said ... (11:07 PM) :

Such a hottie! The yellow nail polish just gives the whole attire this subtle yet fun twist! She's a natural..."effortlessly" chic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:17 AM) :

A real woman, with a real life with a real figure, a real budget and a real smile. Rare to see, even on this site, but I, for example, look something like this every day. Sweet!

Blogger crystal said ... (1:02 AM) :

Amazing shoes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:14 AM) :

Sei bella è molto sexy!

Blogger Teenage (ariel) Dirtbag said ... (4:00 AM) :

Blogger MeG said ... (4:32 AM) :

i hate this shoes... too much ortopedics

Anonymous Mahmutta said ... (5:32 AM) :

The only thing I liked was the gloves.

Anonymous Hyakoukoune said ... (7:09 AM) :

Wow GReat style.
i love her gloves and her shoes...and cute smile!

Blogger crazy cat lady said ... (7:47 AM) :

oh! i love her big smile. not many people give hearty smile like that in picture. why is that?
(-"-!)

Blogger miss sophie said ... (8:10 AM) :

this is very isabel marant - and i LOVE her shoes and scarf!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:44 AM) :

These shoes are heinous! Everything else is cute, but those shoes are like a gross attempt to bring back the 90s style platform sneakers of the Britney Spears nineties.

Blogger Angeles Almuna said ... (9:12 AM) :

She is unique with that beautiful smile :).

Blogger UESman said ... (9:15 AM) :

I miss home....:(

Anonymous suzanne nelson said ... (9:52 AM) :

This is what i come to the sartorialist to find - a great picture of a cool person who has a unique personal style. Not everything she is wearing is to my taste but i love the way she makes it all work for her, from the yellow nail polish to the crazy shoes. Inspiring!

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:09 AM) :

very creative mix

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:24 AM) :

The puffy jacket makes her head look kinda small...I wonder what's in the bag (baconeggandcheesesandwich?yummm)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:24 AM) :

I think this looks like she just put on everything interesting in her closet at once, without thought to a complete outfit. Amazing individual items and some continuity but bad overall effect. I love people that take risks but the fashion is totally wearing her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:48 AM) :

Cute girl, ordinary clothes, ucgly shoes.

Anonymous Catalina said ... (11:44 AM) :

I love everything about her - and those shoes! Wonderful!

Blogger norawoah said ... (11:47 AM) :

jesusy peesey, look at those FANTASTIC shoes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:50 AM) :

shoes are GREAT! Just found out they are from Robert Clergerie!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:14 PM) :

not a fashionista in the slightest. i love it!!

Blogger The Clever Pup said ... (12:34 PM) :

I like her look, I like her nails. The shoes look like she has side tables on her feet.

Blogger brave_new_frock said ... (12:47 PM) :

Not feeling it. The proportion of the outfit is OK, but the coat is just drab and shoes, just fugly. I do love me a fingerless glove, though. And I do like the happy golden scarf..at least it livens that coat up.

Blogger Olviya said ... (1:01 PM) :

boots+gloves!

Blogger Love + Cake said ... (1:03 PM) :

REally love the shoes here...

Blogger CW said ... (2:42 PM) :

The shoes look great, but this woman is leaning backwards to counter the forward tilt of the high heel and platform. Even though she looks good in what she's wearing, she would be better off in a different pair of shoes.

Blogger Leti said ... (3:39 PM) :

Amanda Carter! Love her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:07 PM) :

Hits all the notes with the accessories with this look. Love the gloves, shoes and scarf.

Anonymous Vanessa said ... (9:02 PM) :

I'm I the only one who hates those shoes? The whole thing just isn't doing it for me...

Blogger Mr.Mr. said ... (9:09 PM) :

those shoes are serious

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (9:59 PM) :

Cute.

The open, kick-ass shoes actually make sense for NYC. They're navy with the rest of the outfit on the brown/black spectrum. But she's more into the gold/orange thing.

Wearing that nail polish would make anyone smile.

Anonymous FVAD said ... (3:05 AM) :

when You're so Confident & self conscious: you'll look your best, even in the most laid back, easy going Casual wear: this woman is as Stylish inside as her outside ... I <3

FVAD.

Blogger Tiger Fodder said ... (7:08 AM) :

The shoes are amazing, almost architectural. I love them in combination with the skinny jean, as well. The jeans show off her long legs. I love the scarf. It is functional and adds well balanced color. The gloves and hat are a great touch of panache. What a beautiful smile!

Blogger The Voguette said ... (1:34 PM) :

omggg those shoes!!!! i really envy people who are willing to pull those off!!

http://the-voguette.blogspot.com

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:45 PM) :

If I saw those shoes in a store I'd probably think they were awful. Still not something I'd wear, but she pulls them off well. Love the scarf.

Anonymous Hannah said ... (8:46 PM) :

I adore this look. She looks like she is dressing for herself and not to keep up with a trend, and I can't help being influenced by her great big smile!

Blogger Miguel said ... (7:25 AM) :

Her shoes??? I mean, I am a man, what I love is her smile... Astounding

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:48 PM) :

THE HATE NEEDS TO GO

otherwise, shoes are incredible

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:38 PM) :

omg!! love her SHOES!

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:36 PM) :

another shoe comment... but what can I say... looks awesome~!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:21 AM) :

she works the shoes like nobody's business - and she would'nt manage to pull it off without a personality to match, and that shines through!

Anonymous Heather said ... (10:27 PM) :

How does she WALK in those shoes? Is it even possible? I dunno, the look is good but I hesitate to give it the thumbs up because it looks uncomfortable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:07 AM) :

I love her look, her smile, her shoes and her body! Me myself is not skinny at all, a bit curvy actually, but I dress how I want anyway, and I get a lot of compliments about how I look, so its nice to se pics of great dressed women who are not skinny as cigarettes.
She is one of the best here for a long time.

Anonymous Pietro said ... (12:35 AM) :

Mi scusi but I really detest the direction that women's shoes are taking these days. The majority of them are essentially variations of the sort of shoes a stripper wears. Grazie. Prego.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:59 AM) :

That's my girl! Amanda the Great! Bon Chic Bon Genre!

Anonymous Mr. M said ... (9:38 AM) :

He looks pretty good.
