love it ^^

Blogger Fashion Illusion said ... (9:38 AM) :

Looking great!!!...Nice details.

Blogger beths said ... (9:40 AM) :

Outfit's nice, but face and hair outshine it! Love her expression, the light, the head tilt and background.

Blogger Glenn said ... (9:45 AM) :

The texture contrasts between the jacket and the skirt are great. I also really like all the deep colors used here.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (9:45 AM) :

Oh, her belt is really something special. Too bad we can't see the complete look of her shoes!
She really took the time to complete her whole outfit. Good work!

Blogger susanne said ... (9:45 AM) :

Gorgeous! Fantastic belt.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:47 AM) :

She looks fantastic! Great material on the skirt. And the colours are carried through and blended without making them look too much. Fab shoes, jacket, belt, bag...

Best of all, she looks super-stylish while looking very comfortable and relaxed (emphasised by the detached expression on her face and her pose).

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:56 AM) :

blue velvet ...amazing belt

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:07 AM) :

jacket makes the statement..

Blogger cloudy said ... (10:11 AM) :

Damn, she looks so hot and so cool at the same time!!! I want want the jacket, blouse, skirt and tights.

Great work to capture the attitude just right, Scott.

Blogger pipa said ... (10:19 AM) :

looks great!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:22 AM) :

I absolutely love it. Gorgeous saturated colour and great quirky vintage-esque accessories.

Blogger Ostendaise said ... (10:24 AM) :

That belt!!!!

Blogger The Concrete Commentator said ... (10:33 AM) :

oooooo! Its been a while since we had a good one like this. Great find Scott. Those jewel tone colours are amazing. Love the belt..everything about her is pretty great.

Blogger Scott said ... (10:36 AM) :

It's funny how everyone always loves everything on here. I'll break the mold: I don't like it. Too jumbled and incoherent for my taste.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:39 AM) :

franchement...she does look like little miss parisienne...almost even a cliché

but fabulous!!!

nancy

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:43 AM) :

What beautiful, rich colors!
Coordinated from head to toe, and still relaxed. Great look, love it.

OK, those long lean legs don't hurt eighter. :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:44 AM) :

this outfit is lovely.
love the belt.
love the buckles on the shoes.
love the fabric of the skirt.
the blouse...impressed

Blogger Rylan said ... (10:46 AM) :

Fabulous. However, I really want to do something with the hair.

Blogger Olviya said ... (11:02 AM) :

oh, gorgeous blue! is it velvet skirt?

Blogger Henke S said ... (11:12 AM) :

looking good.

/H from blamethecream.blogspot.com

Blogger CW said ... (11:15 AM) :

Excellent arrangement. Everything works from muffler to shoes.

Blogger Dominica said ... (11:24 AM) :

I'm guessing her jacket is Chanel and if it is : LOVE it even more !!
Great stockings and shoes to go with them !
Inspiration boost in a split second !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:26 AM) :

Oh my goodness i love it

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:28 AM) :

Fashion as intellect. Perfect.

Blogger miss sophie said ... (11:31 AM) :

i'm a bit ambivalent about the strong 80s silhouettes running through virtually every show this season, but she does this look quite well. a strong shoulder, fitted pencil skirt and plenty of saturated colors. my favorite part of her entire outfit is her belt - it's a very innovative way to wear it.

Blogger thirty1seven said ... (11:34 AM) :

Beautiful!
all that blues and deep red with the structured black and gold details (the shoe, the belt!, and the bag).
A beautiful eccentric style..

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:35 AM) :

Love the way the different blues and the different textures (shiny shirt and skirt, nubby jacket) work together. The belt is amazing!

Blogger diane said ... (11:39 AM) :

I don't really understand why a fitted skirt like that has pockets. It's a beautiful outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:42 AM) :

i like the look and feel but I don't understand the turning the toes inward like a child. this is an outfit of a beautiful woman not a little girl.

hmmm?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:47 AM) :

chloe shoes!

Blogger Allen - East Hampton said ... (11:47 AM) :

When you've got it, you've got it.

Blogger kellywinonaoxford said ... (11:50 AM) :

this is the first photo that has made me gasp out loud upon the page opening. i think the tights are a little much, but maybe the boldness of all of that blue is what really makes this outfit stand out.
and i'll ring along with the other commenters about that belt. d-i-e.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:00 PM) :

I saw this photo on style.com and I loved it so much I wondered why you didn't post it here...guess we were thinking the same thing.

I'm an avid black lover, but it's wonderful to see a woman playing with a different color palette. It's eye-catching even if subdued. Also, her play with various textures, shapes, and proportions is quite nice.

Blogger Yoli said ... (12:01 PM) :

The belt makes it.

Blogger junglesiren said ... (12:05 PM) :

That midnight blue is great on everyone. This skirt is fun. Weird that it has pockets but I do love them. The belt is interesting. I've never seen anything like it although Donna Karan did some stuff a few seasons ago that had hardware that was similar.

I'm not a big Chanel maniac and never really loved the ubiquitous chain, quilted purses or those jackets. I don't love this jacket (whether it's Chanel or Forever 21 - not being an aficionado I really can't tell) but this girl is so sexy and her rockin' savoir-faire keeps it from looking so Chanel precious.

It all works...but what is really hot here, is the woman. You don't know if she's gonna kiss you or sock you in the nose.

Blogger Wanderlusting said ... (12:09 PM) :

Love her belt. Love her shoes. Love her jacket. Love her tights. Wish I looked like this when I went out - DAMN this endless Vancouver rain!!!

Blogger David said ... (12:09 PM) :

oh my god, Oh My God, OH MY GOD! Yes, I entirely agree: she is lovely

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:14 PM) :

so good! everything's perfect - the colours, the textures the proportions, the accessories - i agree with Jack Daniel the belt is awesome - and the best thing is with her casual assuredness she makes it look effortless. I want to be a Parisienne too....

Blogger Alvin Kevin Nanong said ... (12:16 PM) :

in my opinion it looks abit abstract in a good way. I love the way she made her skirt it presented.

Blogger Uptown Girl said ... (12:43 PM) :

impeccable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:45 PM) :

I don't know if the jacket and accessories are true Chanel or simply Chanel-esque but I do know that I like the tough girl spin she's putting on this typically lady-like look. The colors are superb!

Blogger May Kasahara said ... (12:45 PM) :

the use of color is just amazing.
great shades of blue.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:57 PM) :

that belt is genius. so are dresses with pockets.

Blogger greenjeans said ... (1:11 PM) :

sigh. it's women like this that give me an impossible notion of the fairer sex....

Blogger Anna said ... (1:17 PM) :

Love the deep dark colors!

Blogger MONI said ... (1:29 PM) :

i admire people with the kind of style this woman shows

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (1:37 PM) :

What first pops are the contrasting shades of blue. I have to get used to it...

Why are her shoes cut off? They look like they might hold the whole look together.

My second big thought is that the proportion of the outfit is wrong for HER proportions. She's long-waisted and everything she's wearing accentuates that. The camera angle and cropping might be doing that too.

But the deconstructed Chanel theme IS cool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:51 PM) :

As someone stated, the belt is genius. And the attitude is so attractive. I lover her hair too, yummy.

Blogger Amra said ... (1:53 PM) :

Really nice! Although the skirt could have been a little bit shorter.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:10 PM) :

this is beautiful, but why oh why does she have her hands in those pockets???

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:40 PM) :

i love how she wears all different kinds of blue colors.its fabulous!!her hair is gorgeous too

Blogger Pixienish said ... (2:41 PM) :

Parfaaaaaaaaaaaaait

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:41 PM) :

the outfit is fabulous, but I would love to see more of the shoes!! A heel? A super wedge? I'm intrigued.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:46 PM) :

Love the Belt ... and the Jacket.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:03 PM) :

Clémence Poesy?

Blogger Simona said ... (3:04 PM) :

Ada is très Magnifique

Blogger Matthew Mikulice said ... (3:33 PM) :

I simply love how you capture luminaries in such wonderfully human landscapes. You find strength and grace everywhere you look, and I find myself drawn back to this blog often. Delightful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:01 PM) :

She looks great! I don't like the jacket, but she looks good in it. The whole is more than just its parts in this case.

And she's got a great body, so she should flaunt it!

Blogger Clams said ... (4:06 PM) :

I'm in love with everything about her. Her attitude seems cute yet confident and her look is amazing. I love the color. It puts me in a good place.

Blogger lauren baluyo said ... (4:27 PM) :

The mixture of these rich shades of color is simply remarkable ! And I like her relaxed, cool demeanor. Awesome photo Scott!

Blogger Dick said ... (4:31 PM) :

Divine darlink. Simply DIVINE!

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (4:56 PM) :

Ooh! Love all the deep rich colours, from head to toe gorgeous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:14 PM) :

love it!
I believe the jacket is Prada..I remember seeing one of a similar shape/same colors recently.

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (5:19 PM) :

Love her repetition of shapes with the belt buckle and shoe buckles. Colors are great!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:45 PM) :

Fantastic mix that blends well, but not over matched. The layering works well with the different textures, while not creating too much bulk.

Blogger Tiffany said ... (6:03 PM) :

I WANT that belt. Anyone have any idea where it's from?

Blogger hc said ... (6:13 PM) :

6/10 a bit matchy matchy. the jacket itself looks great. muted flagrance. would've been nice for it to be the star, as it looks a bit lost paired with similar palettes.

Blogger Johanna Urban said ... (6:21 PM) :

I love her belt! It's so lovley!!

Blogger Tristan said ... (6:29 PM) :

Oh shes dangerous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:04 PM) :

She reminds me of that girl in Grey's Anatomy
Too bad we can't see the shoes.
The belt may be one of the best belts I have seen.

Blogger Mr. G said ... (8:32 PM) :

great colors.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:36 PM) :

perfection. my favourite pic so far...

Sharon

Blogger Nick Leonard said ... (9:40 PM) :

Cute color combo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:16 PM) :

Thanks! finally gave me an idea of what to do with that blue velvet skirt I picked up at the market.. sometimes you just need a different angle to appreciate things again..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:01 AM) :

This is incredible. So polished, yet she still looks so comfortable.

Blogger missdelite said ... (1:36 AM) :

Luv-luv-luv the belt!
Oh, and the shoes, and the tights too.

Blogger petra said ... (4:39 AM) :

the jacket and the belt and the match of colors - have to love it!!

http://youfeelinit.blogspot.com

Blogger id said ... (5:06 AM) :

Her shoes (looks like a high heeled version of some flats Chloé designed a while ago) and her belt are fabulous! I don't like the colors of her jacket, though...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:07 AM) :

navy is a new black, and, I guess late thirties is a new youth.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:30 AM) :

the color palette --- amazing!
the belt --- to die for!
the personality --- if looks could kill!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:52 AM) :

A cliche is saying 30 is the "new" 20, 40 is 30, etcetera. Your body doesn't lie, your doctor always knows your real age. This lady looks fabulous at any age, and her shoes may be Dolce & Gabbana, not
Chloe. I almost bought a pair exactly like that last week. Pigeon toes, please begone!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:57 AM) :

So good,a work of art.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:34 PM) :

This is thw way we say beautiful in Brazil:
LINDA!!!
congratulations for your job!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:02 PM) :

Her assortment is perfect. She plays off the colors throughout the ensemble.

She really took my breath away.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:26 PM) :

absolutely stunning, just wow.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:39 AM) :

I love the upper portion of this outfit. However I do find that the bottom portion is too matchy matchy to my liking

Blogger Passport Stamps said ... (12:39 AM) :

the belt, the shape-hugging skirt and the shoes steal the spotlight for me. Her face also adds a certain mystery element to the whole piece. Me likes!

Blogger Lang said ... (2:35 AM) :

Doesn't she look like that girl on Grey's Anatomy?

Blogger Lucy in the Sky said ... (5:08 AM) :

I am not a lover of stockings with open toed shoes. But other than that, this outfit is fantastic. Loke the jewel pallet, contrasting testures and the awesomely funky belt.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:54 PM) :

Awesome! This is an example of how to put together a outfit with subtle color combination.
Love the dark blue stockings. Belt is stellar.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:16 PM) :

i love you, miss Ada

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:59 PM) :

wow! this is totally thoughtful. its so perfectly executed...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:02 PM) :

J'adore!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blogger hippie_cyndi said ... (3:33 PM) :

she carries the contrasting look impeccably.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:52 PM) :

What I like is that its somehow a great mix of refined yet edgier/funner: the belt is whimsical; the shoes are badass; the combination of textures and colors is anything but staid; the hair is loose and wild.

Its how I would dress for a business meeting if I thought I could get away with it. Maybe I will one day...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:27 PM) :

awesome!
