great mix of colors, great mix of diverse inputs.. and everything works so naturally well ...

Blogger Rene Schaller said ... (9:51 AM) :

the yellow lining of the coat is a great detail and makes the outfit amazing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:56 AM) :

The straight lines of the fence are so nicely contraster by the billowing clothes, and who wouldve thought that that yellow would work so well in that environment? I love how she can get away with it by having such a basic coloured overcoat.
Plus, look at all the ruffling/bagginess thats happening. Sleeves, the hand bag, the scarf, the pants....

really well done.

I am not sure about her coat; it is way too curious and not in a good way with her outfit. Her coat choice should have been darker to go with her outfit and shorter in the body. Great looking material on her slacks, though. Thanks, Sart.

Oh and the hair as well....how could I forget that.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:59 AM) :

i simply love the movement of her step.

Blogger K said ... (10:06 AM) :

Lovely outfit, beautiful colours in the photo. I can practically smell spring emanating from this photograph.

Blogger May Kasahara said ... (10:08 AM) :

love the scrunched sleeves!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:14 AM) :

I do somewhat agree with your coat being to light comment.... The light coat and scarf couldve been a bit much considering how dark the rest of her outfit is. However, its works amazing for this background. Plus, without a coat that light, I dont think she couldve pulled off the yellow. Its the going against sensibilities that make this charming.

I love that surprising flash of yellow!

Blogger diane said ... (10:49 AM) :

That coat is heaven!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:18 AM) :

her coat sleeves are very curious - what are they?! but they work! and they work with everything else, down to the lovely bag and shoes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:41 AM) :

Like the layered colours on the sleeves a lot, and the lining of the coat with the top and scarf. Very good.

However, I don't like the jeans. I think they are unflattering. Otherwise, great.

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (11:44 AM) :

Great coat! Love the yellow lining. She looks cold. Brrrr. Makes me want to get a fire going in the fireplace for her when she gets home.

Blogger stylethread said ... (11:55 AM) :

love the mix of complementary colors.

i like the combonation with the coat, sleeves and the gloves. Its like what a fashionable scientist would wear.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:25 PM) :

This picture screams: Springtime and given the winter I've had, this is so welcomed! Love her colour choices and the casual way she wears obviously expensive clothes. You are forced to focus on the quality rather than the quantity of what she is wearing!

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:31 PM) :

I love the pop of yellow in the coat's lapel. Perfect! And the peek of the lace tights is very seductive.

Gorgeous

Great color and layering. I always wear big scarves all bunched up like this though the rest of my look is rarely so cool. That one jolt of yellow really pulls it all together.

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (1:08 PM) :

Best part of the outfit is the hair.

Then I'd say it's the fabric of the pants. Very interesting -- the texture and flow.

But I'm getting a little weary of the bulbous winter scarf thing. This one in particular is looking rather like a spa towel. Warm, but at what price?

Gorgeous bag.

Nice early spring day! Great photography, as usual!

Blogger Allen - East Hampton said ... (1:09 PM) :

YES YES YES!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:11 PM) :

she is amazing..i love her coat and how she matches that panths..gorgeous..please tell where did you buy you coat, because i'm in love!

Blogger CW said ... (1:48 PM) :

This woman's outfit works well, except for the scarf. The bulk makes her look like she has a neck brace underneath it or a swollen thyroid. Something lighter would work better for her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:50 PM) :

uh, love the socks! A very important detail!

Blogger sallymandy said ... (2:03 PM) :

This one really touches me, I think because the proportions of her clothing pieces to each other are similar to the proportions I feel comfortable wearing...and her hair is very like mine.

The green sleeves intrigue me and I'm wondering what they're attached to...? Maybe something layered under the purple top?

Blogger Amra said ... (2:10 PM) :

The blue and the yellow coulors remind me of the Swedish country flag :D. It looks really nice though.

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:34 PM) :

Expert layering here. Someone above noted the bagginess, too. The sleeves are genius, and mimic the pants. I would probably have put a shorter jacket with this look to show off the tailored pants. What makes this a sartorial selection for me are the lovely lace stockings. They are the final punctuation mark.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:01 PM) :

more love for the lace detail!

Blogger Breathless said ... (4:01 PM) :

I love that little slice of yellow. Very chic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:53 PM) :

Effen fantastic! The yellow is hopeful amongst the darker and neutral colors. Must mention the lace stockings, they're beautidul.

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (6:06 PM) :

Oh my! LOVE the yellow lining contrasting the coat! The wide-leg pants, everything! Gorgeous picture!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:14 PM) :

Effortlessly Exquisite.

kool, chic, trendy and comfy!

Blogger the DOPENESS said ... (8:46 PM) :

Whoa. Where is that coat from? The lining, the shoulders, the collarlessness... Too, too good.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:48 PM) :

the trouble with less than full length sleeves is how to actually keep warm. they always kind of lead to a bit of a mess. no matter thou because she has inspired me to wear my eight foot scarf differently and reminded me to revisit my trouser like jeans this week.

thanks
's

I love this. She looks like a very cool person, very comfortable in her skin, and who is effortless in her style. Tres chic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:53 PM) :

i love love love her pants! also, i love that she has laced stockings peeping from underneath her trousers.

she looks effortless and natural.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:39 AM) :

it seems like sart has been showing a lot more men lately. and the women he does show are poorly dressed, in my opinion. i know he's into bits and pieces of inspiration on clothing but I would like to see more women on here, better dressed.

Blogger Cassie Jo - Tofuscloset said ... (2:29 AM) :

love the pop of color

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (5:31 AM) :

Wow, the inside of this coat is really cool.

Blogger Olviya said ... (1:22 PM) :

very interesting way of putting scarf round her neck!

Blogger AilanthusAltissima said ... (6:33 PM) :

Cool! I live the color and texture!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:10 AM) :

I like the pant.

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:45 PM) :

I am dying for that coat!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:11 PM) :

She is one of my favorite dressers that you shoot. Subtle, chic, and unique. I would like a lesson from her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:09 PM) :

love her slacks!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:01 AM) :

love the Chloe shoes! my favorites.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:18 PM) :

amazing coat!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:29 PM) :

Aw that's lovely! I always love a POP! of citron amongst khaki, dark denim, or grey. I've been inspired!

Blogger Dhppy said ... (7:16 PM) :

I love the pants and the hose and shoes, but I don't get the gloves and the rubbery looking sleeves. They remind me of the arms on a 1950's scifi robot.

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (8:30 PM) :

Sart, You are teaching me how to say what I see.

I saw this from the beginning, but didn't post it:

The yellow lining resembles tender tulip petals in a picture drenched in green grass.

Or is it daffodil petals?

Blogger Celia said ... (9:51 PM) :

Fantastic! Everything but the lace hosiery. Want the jacket, the bag, the pants, the hair....ah!
