Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:17 AM) :

Wow, this guy is looking straight at me directly through your lens!
Great picture!
Very elegant, Mr Pipoli!!

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (9:20 AM) :

I am sure there's something brilliant about this outfit. I look forward to one of the other commenters breaking it down to my level. Starting with the hair, and continuing with the suit, I just plain dont like this. Jorge from W Palm Beach

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:21 AM) :

Great portrait! It makes me want to know more about Signor Pipoli.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:30 AM) :

Love this picture! His head is so particular, we can stay so long just watching it. I love the pose too.
Great

Blogger Julicious Fashionicious said ... (9:37 AM) :

Extravaganza!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:39 AM) :

I really love this picture!!

Blogger The Concrete Commentator said ... (9:44 AM) :

wow.. very nice. look at that stare. Love the pop of yellow under his vest. Nice portrait!

Blogger Darcy said ... (9:45 AM) :

I feel like his look says "You're wearing that in my city?"

Frightening and stunning.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:50 AM) :

I think in this case it's not what he's wearing - not at all.

It's HOW he's wearing it.

That's what style is.

(And a cocked eyebrow never hurts.)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:52 AM) :

wow. so powerful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:01 AM) :

Terrific! The photography, the pose, the cigarette smoke, the awesome suit...the yellow T makes it look modern and the black pocket handkerchief is very suave. Signor Pipoli looks like the sort of man who can tell great stories.

Blogger The Khaki Crusader said ... (10:08 AM) :

That suit works for him and him alone. Don't try this at home.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:37 AM) :

He's wearing an American Apparel's tee!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:38 AM) :

Nicely done! He picked up on the yellow and black stripes to make a bold statement... this outfit is for fun!

Blogger Foster Huntington said ... (10:46 AM) :

this is amazing. it could easily be into the American west.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:14 AM) :

Oh wow, this could have been taken in a studio. I love how he's wearing his vest. Or the way it went that way accidentally.

Blogger Lucky girl said ... (11:15 AM) :

He's awesome!

Blogger Amy said ... (11:17 AM) :

Wow! This reminds me of an Egon Schiele self-portrait!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:26 AM) :

Yellow and brown are not a good combination. Period. And I agree with you, Jorge.

Blogger Sabrina said ... (11:30 AM) :

Love the striped suit and shot of yellow.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:31 AM) :

He is so cool. I'd let him punch me in the face.

Blogger Filipe said ... (11:34 AM) :

Western spaghetti. I agree with Jorge from W Palm. From the streak of hair standing out, to the pen and the gold bracelet. It's all too much or nothing much at all. Nice yellow tee. The suit looks cheap.

Blogger norawoah said ... (11:37 AM) :

Vincent Price comes to mind...

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (11:46 AM) :

What is he wearing under the jacket?

I've been staring at this pic for the last 15 mins. and I don't know what to say. Run?

Blogger wonderkammern said ... (1:24 PM) :

This is great. I want to know him.

Also, Filipe my first thoughts weren't so much spaghetti western as they were Gangs of New York extra.

Blogger southerngentinL.A. said ... (1:36 PM) :

Cool. Just plain Cool. You don't dress like this if you don't have a great story to tell!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:41 PM) :

His may not be the greatest suit and his hair may need management, but I'd wager that--unlike many of the Milanese men featured on this blog in recent weeks--this man's trousers don't end at his ankles.

Blogger Siru said ... (1:58 PM) :

Well, there's attitude!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:04 PM) :

Blogger Rococo Cocoa is Joe said ... (9:31 PM) :

This would be a perfect photograph if it wasnt for that loose lock of hair.

Blogger shadow hand said ... (10:01 PM) :

He reminds me of Robin Williams in "The Birdcage".

Blogger Olviya said ... (9:02 AM) :

is he an artist?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:25 AM) :

What is this LOOK? What would you call it? I want it defined so that I an emulate it.

Blogger lipsticklondoner said ... (10:25 AM) :

Reminds me of a character from some sort of crime solving film/show,only he's jumped off the screen into real life, love it x

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:27 AM) :

Who is next to the sun… it doesn't feel cold.
Exhilarating!!!
You are special,indeed.

Blogger Mrs Stevens said ... (10:37 AM) :

Superb. What's not to like?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:00 PM) :

I love this! I would like to say, that it's because of the great combination of brown, yellow and black in an informal mix of the delicate suit and the casual shirt, but to be honest I wouldn't have noticed any of this without the attitude - the way you wear your clothes means anything to a great outfit!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:34 PM) :

what a picture! you're a GENIUS! perfect!:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:42 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:14 AM) :

this guy knows what panache means !!! But a cool panache... !!! Wonderfull !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:18 PM) :

Love the way the asymmetry of the waistcoat(I think) over the yellow tee. Don't think it works with the suit though - would be better with dark jeans and no jacket. Think it's quite obvious that the sheer character of the man is what carries the whole outfit, the clothing combination on it's own doesn't really work.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:49 AM) :

Are there too many statements here?

Blogger Cheryl said ... (6:02 PM) :

Wow, what a theatrical looking guy. A modern day Dickens character.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:53 PM) :

Dali lives!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:20 PM) :

The only other men I could see pulling this outfit off are Daniel Day Lewis and Salvador Dali. And I love the "I don't take myself too seriously" gaze.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:04 PM) :

Yes! Even though he doesn't take himself too seriously, I think he wants you to take him seriously, just to see . . . :)

Blogger Mervyn said ... (7:08 PM) :

Very dignified pose.

Blogger CO? NE! said ... (1:20 PM) :
