Comments on "On the Street......Signor Pipoli, Milano"
score! score score score! argh he is too cool
Wow, this guy is looking straight at me directly through your lens!
Great picture!
Very elegant, Mr Pipoli!!
I am sure there's something brilliant about this outfit. I look forward to one of the other commenters breaking it down to my level. Starting with the hair, and continuing with the suit, I just plain dont like this. Jorge from W Palm Beach
Great portrait! It makes me want to know more about Signor Pipoli.
Love this picture! His head is so particular, we can stay so long just watching it. I love the pose too.
Great
Extravaganza!!!
I really love this picture!!
wow.. very nice. look at that stare. Love the pop of yellow under his vest. Nice portrait!
I feel like his look says "You're wearing that in my city?"
Frightening and stunning.
I think in this case it's not what he's wearing - not at all.
It's HOW he's wearing it.
That's what style is.
(And a cocked eyebrow never hurts.)
wow. so powerful.
Terrific! The photography, the pose, the cigarette smoke, the awesome suit...the yellow T makes it look modern and the black pocket handkerchief is very suave. Signor Pipoli looks like the sort of man who can tell great stories.
That suit works for him and him alone. Don't try this at home.
He's wearing an American Apparel's tee!
Nicely done! He picked up on the yellow and black stripes to make a bold statement... this outfit is for fun!
this is amazing. it could easily be into the American west.
Oh wow, this could have been taken in a studio. I love how he's wearing his vest. Or the way it went that way accidentally.
He's awesome!
Wow! This reminds me of an Egon Schiele self-portrait!
Yellow and brown are not a good combination. Period. And I agree with you, Jorge.
Love the striped suit and shot of yellow.
He is so cool. I'd let him punch me in the face.
Western spaghetti. I agree with Jorge from W Palm. From the streak of hair standing out, to the pen and the gold bracelet. It's all too much or nothing much at all. Nice yellow tee. The suit looks cheap.
Vincent Price comes to mind...
What is he wearing under the jacket?
What is he wearing under the jacket?
The man has "presence". xo
My word ver. is boinck, I kid you not.
The look on his face is too perfect.
this id perfect example of being post 40's age of men. Brave, rock n roll and good looking..just perfect!!
I've been staring at this pic for the last 15 mins. and I don't know what to say. Run?
This is great. I want to know him.
Also, Filipe my first thoughts weren't so much spaghetti western as they were Gangs of New York extra.
Cool. Just plain Cool. You don't dress like this if you don't have a great story to tell!
His may not be the greatest suit and his hair may need management, but I'd wager that--unlike many of the Milanese men featured on this blog in recent weeks--this man's trousers don't end at his ankles.
Well, there's attitude!

I love this photo. I want to know this guy, drink wine with him and swap stories. I'll bet he's surrounded with laughing grandchildren, beautiful women and dangerous relatives.
Jim Ignatowski from "Taxi".
This is the definition of "swagger!" One of the more interesting portraits I have seen recently!
awesome portrait.
This guy screams cool and sexy! I love it. I love the whole look.
his pose and stare remind me of bill hader from saturday night live.
He looks so charmingly disreputable!
what a fantastic man. Not only is his hair amazing, but that suit is wonderful, as is the yellow shirt.
is he for real? salvador dalí much?? i love it.
well DAMN.
Christopher Lloyd "Back to the Future" with SNAP! He is sharp as a tack an twice as deadly.
Wow..I love this aha..makes me want to meet this guy!
This is just awesome, although the miss placed hair is so goddamn distracting.
This would be a perfect photograph if it wasnt for that loose lock of hair.
He reminds me of Robin Williams in "The Birdcage".
whoa!! and wow!!
we could never understand his perspective on life.
look at that brow!
i imagine him in 50s square and snug swim pants. he seems very vital and his hands seem like he is very young.
Oh man, this guy wins!
i would totally makeout with him
Wow, he's absolutely striking. His yellow shirt pops out, but not more than that expression on his face. Makes me want to find out more about him. He's definitely cool.
I drink your milkshake, sartorialist, I drink it up!
M from milan
Count Olaf!
That is one of those suits that you think is too much when you see it on the rail but looks amazing on. Love it.
hmm, he is intriguing...
is he an artist?
What is this LOOK? What would you call it? I want it defined so that I an emulate it.
Reminds me of a character from some sort of crime solving film/show,only he's jumped off the screen into real life, love it x
Who is next to the sun… it doesn't feel cold.
Exhilarating!!!
You are special,indeed.
Superb. What's not to like?
I love this! I would like to say, that it's because of the great combination of brown, yellow and black in an informal mix of the delicate suit and the casual shirt, but to be honest I wouldn't have noticed any of this without the attitude - the way you wear your clothes means anything to a great outfit!
what a picture! you're a GENIUS! perfect!:)
Villainous.
sig Pipoli...The master of style.
most definetely!
......wow a man!!!!
The hand in the pants pose reminds me of Mickey Rourke.
So cooooool.....
Terrific attitud!! And really good match!!!
Today's Mickey Rourke
fantastic! looks like an old moschino suit, love the hand in the pants ( mickey rourke does it too)...think i'm going to adopt it!
looks lke a soccer tee under the suit
great portrait!
now this is A PERSON.
curio...but, no.
So much character! His expression reminds me of the villan from Gangs of New York.
Is he a mafioso, a violinist or a baker?
The stories...
silenzio
this is the most handsome man i have ever laid my eyes on... i need to look like him when i grow old.
this guy knows what panache means !!! But a cool panache... !!! Wonderfull !
Love the way the asymmetry of the waistcoat(I think) over the yellow tee. Don't think it works with the suit though - would be better with dark jeans and no jacket. Think it's quite obvious that the sheer character of the man is what carries the whole outfit, the clothing combination on it's own doesn't really work.
Are there too many statements here?
Wow, what a theatrical looking guy. A modern day Dickens character.
Dali lives!
The only other men I could see pulling this outfit off are Daniel Day Lewis and Salvador Dali. And I love the "I don't take myself too seriously" gaze.
Yes! Even though he doesn't take himself too seriously, I think he wants you to take him seriously, just to see . . . :)
Very dignified pose.
is this maybe what we call the fith dimension?
He's hot
My 20 year old son would call this look --Pimpin'
i am so hot for this man.
what a character
he looks like an egon schiele drawing
