On the Street......Mario Testino, Milano

Mario is one of the photographers that I have always looked to for inspiration. I have often referred to his book, Portraits, for concepts of lighting and angles - but I love that he also publishes his snaps of people that he meets at parties, fashion shows or at the beach.

YAY! The fabulous Mario Testino.... :) He's laughing always. Great looking - but hey, what's that? His shirt is atypical buttoned up...

Mario Testino is really a great photographer. Where does he publishe "his snaps of people that he meets at parties"? In a blog? Magazines? Please give me the name!!!

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (6:13 PM) :

Like many others I'm a fan of Mr. Testino. This is a great photo of him!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:16 PM) :

I studied his work in my photography class for a "personal inspirational" assignment. I LOVE all of his work, especially his pieces on Princess Diana, Meg Ryan, and almost all of his Kate Moss pieces. I can't believe you just saw him walking on the streets! That's incredible!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:26 PM) :

I've never met him. I've never seen him in person. But, he always seems like 'the right kind of dude.' To be a star in the prima donna world of fashion photography, and to always present yourself the way he does - well, that's somethin'.

I just wish he would publish MORE books....

So effortless and relaxed. Great photo. Great man.

This is how Marshall from 'How I Met Your Mother' will look like when he is older. Although I am not sure if he would look that stylish as this gentleman.

If you're looking for a book of Testino's hot party pics, check out "Let Me In!" I am really, really happy to see him on this blog!

Scott, YOU should do a book! Like a big oversize coffee table book with HUGE pages!

I came to your gallery exhibition in Washington, DC the night you were there - my friend Fatha Julz gave you a CD of his music - and the only thing I wanted (besides air conditioning!) was to be able to view BIG versions of your photos!! There's so much detail for us to study in your images!

Blogger Disneyrollergirl.net said ... (2:33 PM) :
