And the hint of brightness in the first one, so refreshing.

Bit of an architects wardrobe...

the dress on the second pic is fantastic.

She is wonderful, isn't she? Love the orange tights, but the smile...it's sublime.

Blogger Stefan said ... (6:06 PM) :

that subtle orange at the sleeve gives the outfit a nice POP! and definitely keeps things interesting

love the splash of orange in the first outfit

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:41 PM) :

The top outfit is perfect. And she looks so interesting, as a person. I like the second one too, but the top one is the one.

Blogger Sartorial Vancouver said ... (6:50 PM) :

I love how she has kept the number of pieces to a minimum, yet comes across as striking due to the superb use of colors and patterns.

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:57 PM) :

The combination of black and color is so effortlessly elegant and chic. Italian women cease to amaze me with their color choices this winter, especially purple against their usual black canvas..

Closet Couture has a story on purple in Milan this winter:

Blogger reckless daughter said ... (7:06 PM) :

she's adorable. love the orange tights!

Blogger marie said ... (7:08 PM) :

oui very chic! intended from top til toe. but with a smile and laughter so sweet and fresh...ooh beautiful.

Blogger Betty said ... (7:14 PM) :

So cute! I've noticed at the end of a bunch of runway shows in Milan that my lasting thought is how adorable the deisgner is! (i.e. Miuccia Prada, Alberta Ferretti) Something about those Italian women...

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (7:26 PM) :

Lovely. Like the bold patterns and beautiful faces.

Blogger indigo warrior said ... (7:44 PM) :

I love the tights on both of these ladies. Yay tights! Yay taking it past black!

But honestly, if I go to the store and have nothing to choose from but horizontal stripes ... yikes. There's a window for horizontal stripes that goes from infancy to about twenty.

Love the purse in the second photo. Love the necklace and the buttons in the first.

Blogger porchmouse said ... (8:01 PM) :

I heart her hair. Wish I had the guts to be able to pull it off.

Blogger miss sophie said ... (9:01 PM) :

that's brilliant. i love how her outfit draws your eye vertically until you hit the susprise pop of orange of her tights - such a genius ensemble!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:07 PM) :

absolutely charming

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:29 PM) :

stunning. there's something very delicate but bold about the way she chose her outfit. it's simple but telling.

Blogger Florence said ... (10:49 PM) :

I love her looks. I don't know why it should be, but winter clothes are so much more chic than summer clothes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:13 PM) :

why are the backgrounds black? are these studio shots? for what purpose?

Blogger greenjeans said ... (11:47 PM) :

that first skirt is amazing. international resolution for all women to own a few blazers?

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (1:10 AM) :

LOVE these outfits so much! I'm in love with that 2nd dress (Balenciaga?) & coat, just gorgeous!!! A pop of colour with an otherwise black-outfit is just perfection!
xx

Blogger G2 said ... (1:14 AM) :

Adorable woman, adorable combinations. Give her parents the keys to the city for producing such a marvel!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:28 AM) :

Top pic is blk & wht re-imagined skillfully. I'd wear this in a heartbeat.

Bottom pic is blk & navy really nicely done. I'd wear this like tomorrow.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:13 AM) :

the second pic is great, black and geometric look is really good plus the leather bag and the smile!

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:23 AM) :

Flanelli

Blogger Diana said ... (3:31 AM) :

Both are beautiful and meet exactly my taste.
The background is also great.
Look like studio-photos

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (5:39 AM) :

I like the combination of color and black. Something different than what those swedish (girls) people are wearing: completely black, which I don't like.
If you wear allll black, it's always good. And therefore not very risky. I have more respect for people who are combining colors. It's extremely hard to combine colors and look very well at the same time.

Blogger Julicious Fashionicious said ... (6:12 AM) :

Oh she is so sweet!!I like everything.Perfect!

Blogger Manja said ... (7:32 AM) :

Very awesome style! I absolutely love the tights in the first picture...I need to get a pair of orange ones myself.

Blogger Pearl said ... (8:34 AM) :

I love the top one: patterns, shapes, overall picture.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:27 AM) :

love her sense of style. she just looks as if she is having fun with it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:39 AM) :

Great Ideas for mixing black! The girls are gorgeous : )
Hilde

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:49 AM) :

Those orange tights are spectacular! Thank you for showing a great example of using color to add excitement to an outfit!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:03 AM) :

i love both these shots - she has great style and really knows how to wear clothes and be photographed. Reminds me of the very good observation someone made the other day about knowing how to use one colour properly, rather than mixing lots of colours at the same time; i've been thinking about that a lot.

Blogger norawoah said ... (11:18 AM) :

Red, white and blue, my favorite color combo!
And I love the shinny shoes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:30 AM) :

She's a modern mod. Love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:34 PM) :

Love the beads in the first photo and the way the beads match the battons on the coat.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:47 PM) :

I love the top with the orange tights. I also like the dress with those shoes.

Blogger pigeon.toed said ... (3:24 PM) :

amazing

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (8:57 PM) :

The skirt in the first pic is mesmerizing. Who did it?

All else that she's wearing with it makes it look even cooler. The big plastic beads and buttons with the patent clutch are a symphony.

Thanks.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:17 PM) :

ABSOLUTELY adore the bottom outfit. that dress is amazing - looks fantastic against the black-drop

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:09 PM) :

She's great, her every-clothes-choice is great, the photography is super.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:09 AM) :

on the street?

Blogger eefs said ... (8:45 AM) :

Fantastic. The bag doesn't quite work though.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:27 AM) :

It actually reminds me of what rihanna wore for Paris fashion week. And blue is ma fav color. Minimize accessory.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:29 PM) :

Very Ines de la Fressange updated.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:50 AM) :

those orange tights are adorable. love that!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:49 PM) :

I love so much the first dress, in particular the t-shirt! O_O!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:49 PM) :

i saw that first top in teen vogue before i think! lovee it. outfit #2 is my favorite though, minus the bag.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:14 AM) :

I love the look of colored tights with a neutral outfit for balance. If your legs are good, why not? Michael Kors was wrong when he advised against colored tights. Maybe he thought others would wear it with matching clothes, in which case I agree. But he didn't say how chic it could look when worn this way. I love wearing my red Wolford tights.

Blogger Chris Johnson said ... (3:46 PM) :

Hey Scott, what's the word on that dark background? Can you fill us in?
