Incredible color, incredible clothes!

Blogger indigo warrior said ... (7:10 PM) :

I really love these women with their hats. They almost always seem to be men's hats, which makes me a bit sad. I wish we women could find good hats. I also wish American women would take to hats again. It's been what ... forty five years?

sigh

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (7:27 PM) :

I really love this photo. The composition and light are just lovely. You probably get this question a million times, but what camera/lens did you use here? Thanks!

Blogger le sophistiqué said ... (11:01 PM) :

Her hair is beautiful. She has what looks like dreads with a modern twist. And that coat, the shade of blue is very eye catching.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:03 PM) :

stunning.

Blogger J U L I O said ... (11:14 PM) :

Great photo, and her hair is really great: reminds me of Galadriel from Lord of the Rings.

And I have to agree with "Elle".

all the latest pics are so beautiful and real. thank you!

Blogger Lucky said ... (6:08 AM) :

the colour of the trench is simply amazing, along with the simple yet quirky 'dread' look of her hair.... reminds me of Alanis

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:02 AM) :

Love her coat (beautiful colour) and hat but I don't think her hair quite works in that style. Takes away from her amazing facial bone structure.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:14 AM) :

Incredible cheekbones. A Native American princess, moved to Milan as a first step in changing the world's definition of true beauty?

Blogger Dominica said ... (7:42 AM) :

@ Sart ; I have to agree with Elle...you see much more detail on the bigger size close-ups...

As for this image :
How lovely a combo of black and blue can be ....am a GREAT fan of bl/bl combo's myself...

Blogger Dominica said ... (7:44 AM) :

She looks more like Alanis Morisette but with a touch of Monica Bellucci...(she has lovely pouty lips)

Blogger Leopold Gloom said ... (8:04 AM) :

She's so beautiful. My god.

Blogger LivingGolden said ... (8:25 AM) :

I know this blog is about the clothes, but that is one incredible piece of photography. I'm undone.

Blogger Lady Lala said ... (8:46 AM) :

incredible colours! this is a really good shoot!

Blogger Un Monito said ... (9:05 AM) :

Great photograph Scott - love the use of background with her trench and her thoughtful eyes. Killer chapeau too!

Blogger Salóme said ... (9:28 AM) :

That lighting..
I can't believe it's just plain "on the street" lighting.
beautiful

Blogger RW said ... (9:36 AM) :

I love this photo! The lighting is great with just enough separation between her blue coat and the black background.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:44 AM) :

CAMILLA?!!!!!

Blogger melkur said ... (10:16 AM) :

this reminds me of leonard cohen's "famous blue raincoat"

Blogger lauren baluyo said ... (11:00 AM) :

I find her to be quite a natural beauty...something about those eyes and fair skin. And the lighting here is truly amazing as well. Hot photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:05 AM) :

And she would look so much better with clean hair . . .

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:08 AM) :

What a beautiful blue that coat is!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:35 AM) :

Camilla?!? C'avrei scommesso...
Lo stile non ti è mai mancato.

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:17 PM) :

I wish more of us would allow our natural beauty to blossom as this woman so elegantly does ...

Blogger CW said ... (3:47 PM) :

The coat and hat complement each other. Her pose hides her blouse and whatever else she is wearing.

Blogger thebelljarbird said ... (4:05 PM) :

a true study of beauty...especially the eyes. the smile lines about her eyes make me swoon.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:21 PM) :

Is that Fionna Apple? I love the color of the jacket.

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:18 PM) :

oh. i love her. amazing colors.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:27 PM) :

Outstanding photo...although I like the old format better too. It was way more fun getting to click and get a close up.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:20 AM) :

Beautiful lighting on this shot...beautiful dark, dark blues being brought to life by light...wonderful shot...

Blogger Sara said ... (5:45 AM) :

Gorgeous photo, gorgeous woman. In fact she reminds me of Isabella Rosellini in profile as they both have similar cheekbones, eyes, and lips.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:34 AM) :

Love her haircut, looks elvish. Reminds me of Galadriel in Lord of the Rings (the movies i.e)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:04 PM) :

she is stunningly beautiful. if only we were also so lucky!

I've been following this blog for about 2 years now and I have to say that the last half dozen posts are really showing how much you continue to develop as an artist/photographer. This one especially is so strong formally. I think your work will stand the test of time as both a cultural archive as well as art of its time. Keep it up.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:27 PM) :

I love that tiny wrinkle on her flawless skin. It's like you have captured her at the "aha" moment in her life.
I also like how you didn't get her to remove the hair elastic from her wrist. People often ask me what that band is on my wrist...I'm like- it's a hair elastic. It just made me smile.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:18 PM) :

that face! coat and hat and hair and hairband on wrist make her look comfortable in her skin and happy to be stylish without trying to hard. born with it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:41 PM) :

elegant
stylish
chivalrous
refined
sophisticated
so well-mannered

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:53 PM) :

You take the most amazing photographs. I love your site.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:09 PM) :

I want to paint this photo. Really tremendous shot. Reminds me of a Vermeer.

Oh, and the fashion ain't bad either. ::wink::
