Comments on "On the Street......Black & Blue, Milano"
She looks like Jane Joplin...
dear Sart, please give us back the old format! I really miss the bigger size close-ups... the current size just doesn't satisfy.
Beautiful portrait, and great sense of style.
What a beautiful face, what a marvellous shade of blue
thats funny, i was gonna say alanis morissette
the light adjustment on the picture is wonderful!
Wow nearly dreaded hair!
Wow soulful eyes!
Wow flawless skin!
Wow perfect brows!
Wow those cheekbones!
Wow bee-stung lips!
Oh, the navy trench, the black fedora and the great lighting, I'm sure contribute to the wow factor.
It's so beautiful, colour blue the new black
My darling dear you look absolutely stunning bravo i love the pictures and the visual contrasts style great styling.
Beautiful, stylish woman & stunning blue - and hurah for real beauty, crinkly eyes & all!
This woman is breathlessly beautiful.
And you do her justice, Sart. Great shot.
Love the trench coat and the hat...she must be thinking the world is going to be under her control, i guess!?
whatever happened to midnight blue..
Incredible color, incredible clothes!
I really love these women with their hats. They almost always seem to be men's hats, which makes me a bit sad. I wish we women could find good hats. I also wish American women would take to hats again. It's been what ... forty five years?
sigh
Love this close-up picture, you can see the richness of the colour, the textures, gorgeous!
She's ravishing, and I want to ravish that cobalt coat!
this photo so deep I smell her ; Patchouli !
Simply a stunning portrait. The color saturation and lighting are gorgeous.
So elvish looking!
My jacket looks just like her, except mine is a deeper navy but hers looks great either way
Such a gorgeous photo.
perfect
beautiful trench!
i just added this blog to my favs list...its wonderful!

She's gorgeous!
she looks like a character from lord of the rings
Blue. Glorious Blue!
If I met her at a dinner party, I'll be tongue tied for at least 5 seconds. THIS is a woman!
Forca Barca!
She's so beautiful!
Fantastico!
If only we saw more images like this in the media... such captivating eyes.
I really love this photo. The composition and light are just lovely. You probably get this question a million times, but what camera/lens did you use here? Thanks!
this isnt very interesting clothing wise. however her expression is beautiful.
Great, great, great jacket!
Her hair is beautiful. She has what looks like dreads with a modern twist. And that coat, the shade of blue is very eye catching.
stunning.
Great photo, and her hair is really great: reminds me of Galadriel from Lord of the Rings.
And I have to agree with "Elle".
this is a great portrait--and what a nice color!
Nice portrait :)
What a gorgeous blue color!
A pristine photograph, my congratulations.
Rembrandt-esque.
good job, it's art
she is great, the color of the trench/jacket is amazing
My two favorite colors of all time.
She has really beautiful eyes.
I find this breathtaking.
all the latest pics are so beautiful and real. thank you!
the colour of the trench is simply amazing, along with the simple yet quirky 'dread' look of her hair.... reminds me of Alanis
Love her coat (beautiful colour) and hat but I don't think her hair quite works in that style. Takes away from her amazing facial bone structure.
Incredible cheekbones. A Native American princess, moved to Milan as a first step in changing the world's definition of true beauty?
@ Sart ; I have to agree with Elle...you see much more detail on the bigger size close-ups...
As for this image :
How lovely a combo of black and blue can be ....am a GREAT fan of bl/bl combo's myself...
She looks more like Alanis Morisette but with a touch of Monica Bellucci...(she has lovely pouty lips)
She's so beautiful. My god.
I know this blog is about the clothes, but that is one incredible piece of photography. I'm undone.
incredible colours! this is a really good shoot!
Great photograph Scott - love the use of background with her trench and her thoughtful eyes. Killer chapeau too!
That lighting..
I can't believe it's just plain "on the street" lighting.
beautiful
I love this photo! The lighting is great with just enough separation between her blue coat and the black background.
CAMILLA?!!!!!
this reminds me of leonard cohen's "famous blue raincoat"
I find her to be quite a natural beauty...something about those eyes and fair skin. And the lighting here is truly amazing as well. Hot photo!
And she would look so much better with clean hair . . .
What a beautiful blue that coat is!
Camilla?!? C'avrei scommesso...
Lo stile non ti è mai mancato.
I wish more of us would allow our natural beauty to blossom as this woman so elegantly does ...
The coat and hat complement each other. Her pose hides her blouse and whatever else she is wearing.
a true study of beauty...especially the eyes. the smile lines about her eyes make me swoon.
Is that Fionna Apple? I love the color of the jacket.
oh. i love her. amazing colors.
Outstanding photo...although I like the old format better too. It was way more fun getting to click and get a close up.
Beautiful lighting on this shot...beautiful dark, dark blues being brought to life by light...wonderful shot...
Gorgeous photo, gorgeous woman. In fact she reminds me of Isabella Rosellini in profile as they both have similar cheekbones, eyes, and lips.
Love her haircut, looks elvish. Reminds me of Galadriel in Lord of the Rings (the movies i.e)
she is stunningly beautiful. if only we were also so lucky!

This is by far..my favorite color ever...this blue shade has an incredible power over any look u think on matchin with.... it always works.. ppl should realize this is THE COLOR...and matches every skin or hair color... its amazing.... and and about the whole pic in here... i just do not like this alanis morrissete hair goin on....and the elf ear showing.... elf ear..plus that hat...would be a leprechaun for sure..lol.... such a beautiful face....work that hair better next time... and would be a ten
She makes me proud of being a woman, too.
Thanks a lot for this great shot.

I've been following this blog for about 2 years now and I have to say that the last half dozen posts are really showing how much you continue to develop as an artist/photographer. This one especially is so strong formally. I think your work will stand the test of time as both a cultural archive as well as art of its time. Keep it up.
I love that tiny wrinkle on her flawless skin. It's like you have captured her at the "aha" moment in her life.
I also like how you didn't get her to remove the hair elastic from her wrist. People often ask me what that band is on my wrist...I'm like- it's a hair elastic. It just made me smile.
that face! coat and hat and hair and hairband on wrist make her look comfortable in her skin and happy to be stylish without trying to hard. born with it!
elegant
stylish
chivalrous
refined
sophisticated
so well-mannered
You take the most amazing photographs. I love your site.
I want to paint this photo. Really tremendous shot. Reminds me of a Vermeer.
Oh, and the fashion ain't bad either. ::wink::
.....i'm so glad to be here! camilla=sleeloo
frome the girl on the picture :)
i love the lines by her eyes.
they may be wrinkles but they are gorgeous.
she looks so wise and pensive and beautiful
I love her. But she doesn't know that, because an enchantress put a hex on me. G
