Comments on "On the Street....Wrapped, Florence"
Nice--love the shoes, the glasses--the pensive expression--it's real.
Mi piace l'espressione di questo signore (che in realtà è semplicmente morto di freddo)!
does anyone know the maker of the coat?
Les hommes mûrissent et les femmes vieillissent...
Cet homme a du style!
Tendance à le trouver très barbu!!

great shot! I love the way he is bundled up. That rock/brick wall background is fabulous. I love how his shoes match the background and everything else he is wearing is such a contrast. I like his glasses also! Very stylish gentleman.
I'm too distracted by that glorious hair to notice what he's wearing!
Is it a coat??
It's beautiful!
This gent is absolutely brilliant and would definitely make for an amazing illustration.
He MUST be the father of the other grey headed man

your pictures lately have made me less tentative about going gray at 31. boots are killin
nice wall!!!
I enjoy this blog immensely, but I'm most enchanted by your photos of older subjects. There's so much character in both their faces and the clothing they choose.
This man, for example, is looking as though he's emerging from a cave to speak wise and important words to the rest of us. His is not an image easily overlooked, or forgotten.
Nothing wrong with youth--it's beautiful, really--but ever so slightly generic.
and even in this weather you find another man whose trousers are too short...
Nice looking gent otherwise though
perfect wordver - buychic
He's Father Christmas, my son (5 years) knew him right away.
I do believe your photos from Italy are some of your best. The capturer and captured work beautifully together. Love the elegance.
Beautiful photograph of a beautiful subject. It looks as if he's waiting for someone. I love the way the boots contrast with the outfit.
wow, i'm left wanting to know what he's looking at
He is very chic! And those are good pants.
he is stunning! to me he looks like an old wise sailor looking out at the sea to see if it is a good day to sail. perfect balance in outfit
I want to hug this man. He looks so cozy...
From the elbows up, terrifically striking. The rest? Not so much.
he's totally cute! the jacket is amazing :)
is it so cold in Florence?
I love those shoes, I think they lift the outfit without compromising it's integrity. His glasses and make him look so cool!
http://thestitched.blogspot.com/
The shoes are so cool. They really ground the whole look.
I love all your photo
Oh my! What a beautiful picture!, Love the backdrop with the shoes, and then the stark figure featuring in front. Beautiful!
great coat, great shot
Timberlands?
He is just too cool. Almost makes me want to stop dying my hair. Would I look this good as a woman approaching this grey at 26?
I'm crazy about this look. The boots are GREAT and I love his hair and beard.
it's unfair
these guys dress effortlessly cool.
it's cold, tho!
Oh ! what a gentleman he is!

Wonderful shot. I love the way the colors of his coat and boots work together. Does anyone know what type of glasses he's wearing?
Actually, I thought it was the father of the July 2008 post 'On the Street.....The Impact of Mens Accessories, NYC' great hair - texture & color.
He is perfect :)
Would never see this in America, which is why I adore it. You are very skilled.
Great photo--his beard is fantastic.
brrrr!
I empathize with the "bundled" look and wish he would come and tell me stories. He looks wise and humorous and stylish all in one.
He is my dream man.
he looks awesome!
precious!
Really nice capture !
Hello,
he looks like Pier Paolo Pasolini, does he?
Ariane from la Porte de Clignancourt.
I have to agree with IHEARTFASHION :
his face and hair are so artistic that you can't stop looking at him !
Sweet , old man cold on the street. And you captured it well:)
Love this photograph. I can't decide if this blog is about personal style or photography. The art of the photos has racheted up recently; you are doing a great job.
My focus in this one is the repetition of brown splotches, his glasses and the stones behind him, secondarily, his boots. He has a Michaelangelo aura; he could be the man or his sculpture. Love it.
The simplicity of it all is so chic
The glass and shoes are obviously marvelous, but that he paired them so cautiously with understated pieces speaks volumes for his personal style.
And the beard and hair are brilliant.
Love this look.
Being cold in style
Lovely.
If I ever look half as cool as this man at any point in my life, I'll be able to die happy.
The coat is designed by Umit Benan from his FA09 debut collection. I met him at the Pitti show and fell in love with the line. The coat is inspired by a shot of James Dean walking down Broadway. Amazing shot!
Remind me to be this awesome when I'm older.
Great Hair !
boots are beautiful, lovely color and also love the pants. This guy sure has it together
this guy is actually a model who has been well styled

nice collection though...
Fabulous photo - What stick's out first are his boots with that vintaged Paul Harnden appeal - which completely marries the background - subtle insecurity in him delicately glazed with smokey grey coolness.
Why do Italians look better than anyone else? Everything they make is beautiful. Everything they say sounds wonderful. Everything they wear is perfect. And Italy doesn't even have a government!
