Comments on "On the Street....The Young Ones, Paris"
beauty the family looks majestic
That's Warren Ellis from 'The Dirty Tree' and Nick cave's 'Bad Seeds'. He's one of my all time favourite musicians. Snappy dresser too!
Jo
Very nice look for her!
ah! so cute! and what expressions! and all four have impressive/great/lovely hair.
LOVE the first photo. The beard is amazing.
That whole family looks terribly bad ass!
That bloke looks an awful lot like Warren Ellis from the Dirty Three and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
I think I recall an interview in which he said he lived in Paris.
A new Dirty Three album is long overdue.
Good luck to him regardless.
Wow. Those young ones know how to work it, don't they! Such beauty and confidence. I love that the girl's jacket sleeves are too long -- like she found those boots and KNEW they would go perfectly with her big sister's leather jacket.
I adore all of them!
Rasputin up there has a pretty good thing going. Coolest dad in the universe being just one of them. Kids with long hair and plenty of attitude isn't hurting either.
I love that top photo! Such style and individuality.
*mwa* cute!!
thx - happy weekend
Handsome guy, under all of that hair. Good looking family, strong, confident. xo
that girl looks perfect, except the too-long sleeves. love those boots!
The man looks like my father, but my father's beard is more short... I must confess I feel a little bit of shame about him. But now I am gonna face this fact with another concept. Because of this picture I will change my point of view about old hippies. Thanks a lot!
Fram Rosa
God, I wish I was this cool as a kid. I love her boots...
The man, the legend, Mr. Warren Ellis.
We're never alone with the Dirty Three!
Warren Ellis!!!
great shots. those kids all look great!
i love this young lady's boots... if they were any higher i'd have been in greater awe
little bit gypsy styled, but looks nice)
I love both of them. I agree with whoever said the whole family looks badass... and I love the boy on the left's double layering and puma shoes.
The too-long sleeves are just enough of a mistake to be perfect.
It's the man who looks fabulous - sort of like a modern Rasputin...
beautiful children!
im a big fan of children who are well dressed. these 3 are amazingly cute!!!!! parisian kids just blow my mind away
i LOVE her boots...also, i kindof wish i was her. oh to be younger again
But, but but...
Now I can't get "The Young Ones" theme out of my head!
Thanks alot, Sart.
Natural, easy & beautiful. This little girl is emulating a quality that some grown women spend a lot of money for. I love that the jacket is too big for her!
omg look at that maaan... i wish my future husband looked like that, with that beard and that coolness. please! and those kids with their messy hairs. love them.
I am jealous of the kids' jackets/coats. I never had such cool ones when I was kid. Heh, even as an adult, mine aren't as cool. =)
The girl in the bottom picture has incredible presence.
Game over. That man just turned all the other try-too-hards on this page into piles of soft sand.
the older boy's jacket is amazing. Everything works well together.
top pic -it *is* warren ellis, isn't it? awesome :D
he can play the hell out of a violin too.
Long time lurker just got to say WOW. Keep up the art.....
my 12 year-old me is jealous! I wish I could had that style when i was her age!!
Wow, Warren Ellis (Dirty 3/ THe Bad Seeds). Nice pic. Just saw the guy play in Sydney not long ago.
love the little girl on the bottom esp. i don't remember being that stylish at that age!
I think the leather jacket on the girl in the bottom picture is from the junior's section of Zara. I have the same one, and I bought it because the sleeves are so long! (I'm 5'11".)
love the first guy... stylish, beautiful smile, beautiful beard... i'm in love.. mmmwuahh...
kids are definitely cute and fashionable!
The girl in the green coat is so gorgeous! A fashionista in the making...
I second the first anonymous entry:
"the family looks majestic"
i'm thrilled by the look!!
God I love Warren. It's most certainly him because I recognise his kids from last time I saw him play.
I concur - he makes every other cultivated scenester seem pale in comparison. Bless!
I never though about how much Warren Ellis looks similar to Sebastien Tellier
Hm... Are the Parisian barbers on strike these days? ;)
This is why I want to raise my future children outside of the U.S.!
Number two is a model (figuratively speaking). Lovely.
This man is so magnetic. I love his shoes, pants, jacket, beard, eyes...
Truly the most beautiful family!
The expressions on their faces are the real statements here. I believe in the future of the human race. At least when I look at these pics.
I love the girl's boots! The boys and their father seem to even each other out in hair/beard length.
this made me smile.
how adorable is that?
and, god, how beautiul are they?
Hey! Did you take these pictures in Montparnasse Area?
All cute young ones!
i know everyone's said, but damn, warren ellis. one of my heroes. saw him play almost a month ago on mt buller. magic experience. the next day i was looking out of my hotel window and see this family of people walking by, all wearing black jeans. faces were obscured by trees, but when they appeared it was nick cave, warren ellis and one of them's wife and kids.
something makes me think they could be cave's kids, cos he has two twin sons who are young
GREAT scarves and GREAT beards are both trends. The both keep you warm in winter AND are an outward expression of oneself.
MORE BEARDS PLEASE !!
POGONOPHILE !!
Great to see children in your blog.
They look lovely!
I love the last outfit!
i absolutely love this post. the boy on the left's expression is SO CUTE. and that beard makes such a great statement!
Warren Ellis?! How startling to find him here! (Cave is going to kick him out of the band when he sees this...)
Junior leather bombers. Love it!
Wowee! Beautiful beard!
Awwwww the young girl in the bottom picture looks so cute! I love her style! :)
wow...the "i dont care what you think" attitude of that family is inspiring to me..i hope one day, i will have a family as brave and trailblazing as that..that second lovely young lady is breathtaking..
Those kids are beautiful, regardless of the stylish apparel! The girl wears her borrowed jacket with aplomb. The older boy on viewer left is bad a$$ and rocks it!
Sense of style in combination with innocence..
oh,, The jackets and scarf..
Good combinations..must have ><
somethíng like "Next generation" would've sounded better i think.
oooohhhh hthe 2 kids in the first picture are super duper cool! love them! i caan already see their parisian style! amazing!
wow they sure are starting young these days
great family pictures
and a daddy cool!
Just absolutely inspirational. I hope to have such gorgeous kids one day - god willing.
I think that they all have great presence and absolutely comfortable with themselves and their styles. So they are wearing the clothes rather than the clothes wearing them.
Young boys with long hair is a must.
Nick Cave will be SO jealous - considering his own sartorial experimentation. Love them both.
that mafioso picture up top just made my day. lovely--feels like the elder is dripping with a sordid past and passing his hard-got wisdom onto the next ones in. thanks.
wow. she's superb man! such attitude!
Love the intensity in the father and children's eyes. Man these pictures are great. Kudos to the photographer.
i love the man with the long beard. he has a cool look. his two friends are dressed a bit childish though.
Oh my g... Warren Ellis, he's so cool, Nick Cave's friend.
The bottom girl - she is so beautiful!
Probably the coolest children ever.
Don't you hate it when a kid is more stylish than you? :)
oh she is so great
The family portrait is love.
Love the woman's long green scarf: cute!
Love the paradxical look the dad pulls off! It's like pirate/banker or hippy vs. "the man." How can his kids not be precocious?
so cute!
Two of my favourite photos you've taken.
Those boys have impressive style.
snappy, warren
Those kids remind me of Let the Right One In. Quite menacing, but very cool.
