beauty the family looks majestic

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:21 AM) :

That's Warren Ellis from 'The Dirty Tree' and Nick cave's 'Bad Seeds'. He's one of my all time favourite musicians. Snappy dresser too!

Jo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:32 AM) :

Very nice look for her!

Blogger Piztachio said ... (10:34 AM) :

ah! so cute! and what expressions! and all four have impressive/great/lovely hair.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:40 AM) :

LOVE the first photo. The beard is amazing.

Blogger Courtney Ann said ... (10:45 AM) :

That whole family looks terribly bad ass!

Blogger DanDM said ... (10:46 AM) :

That bloke looks an awful lot like Warren Ellis from the Dirty Three and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

I think I recall an interview in which he said he lived in Paris.

A new Dirty Three album is long overdue.

Good luck to him regardless.

Blogger Paige said ... (10:53 AM) :

Wow. Those young ones know how to work it, don't they! Such beauty and confidence. I love that the girl's jacket sleeves are too long -- like she found those boots and KNEW they would go perfectly with her big sister's leather jacket.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:54 AM) :

I adore all of them!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:06 AM) :

Rasputin up there has a pretty good thing going. Coolest dad in the universe being just one of them. Kids with long hair and plenty of attitude isn't hurting either.

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (11:21 AM) :

I love that top photo! Such style and individuality.

Blogger smartheit said ... (11:25 AM) :

*mwa* cute!!

thx - happy weekend

Blogger diane said ... (11:42 AM) :

Handsome guy, under all of that hair. Good looking family, strong, confident. xo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:48 AM) :

that girl looks perfect, except the too-long sleeves. love those boots!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:26 PM) :

The man looks like my father, but my father's beard is more short... I must confess I feel a little bit of shame about him. But now I am gonna face this fact with another concept. Because of this picture I will change my point of view about old hippies. Thanks a lot!

Fram Rosa

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:27 PM) :

God, I wish I was this cool as a kid. I love her boots...

Blogger Leopold Gloom said ... (12:32 PM) :

The man, the legend, Mr. Warren Ellis.
We're never alone with the Dirty Three!

Blogger Sara said ... (12:51 PM) :

Blogger Olviya said ... (1:19 PM) :

little bit gypsy styled, but looks nice)

Blogger tal said ... (1:30 PM) :

I love both of them. I agree with whoever said the whole family looks badass... and I love the boy on the left's double layering and puma shoes.

The too-long sleeves are just enough of a mistake to be perfect.

Blogger Deirdre Schwiesow said ... (1:32 PM) :

It's the man who looks fabulous - sort of like a modern Rasputin...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:40 PM) :

But, but but...

Now I can't get "The Young Ones" theme out of my head!

Thanks alot, Sart.

Blogger August Clothing said ... (2:04 PM) :

Natural, easy & beautiful. This little girl is emulating a quality that some grown women spend a lot of money for. I love that the jacket is too big for her!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:05 PM) :

omg look at that maaan... i wish my future husband looked like that, with that beard and that coolness. please! and those kids with their messy hairs. love them.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:46 PM) :

I am jealous of the kids' jackets/coats. I never had such cool ones when I was kid. Heh, even as an adult, mine aren't as cool. =)

Blogger ricpic said ... (3:01 PM) :

The girl in the bottom picture has incredible presence.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:31 PM) :

Game over. That man just turned all the other try-too-hards on this page into piles of soft sand.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:22 PM) :

Wow, Warren Ellis (Dirty 3/ THe Bad Seeds). Nice pic. Just saw the guy play in Sydney not long ago.

Blogger secondvurss said ... (4:24 PM) :

love the little girl on the bottom esp. i don't remember being that stylish at that age!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:04 PM) :

I think the leather jacket on the girl in the bottom picture is from the junior's section of Zara. I have the same one, and I bought it because the sleeves are so long! (I'm 5'11".)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:20 PM) :

love the first guy... stylish, beautiful smile, beautiful beard... i'm in love.. mmmwuahh...

Blogger huong said ... (6:15 PM) :

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (6:47 PM) :

The girl in the green coat is so gorgeous! A fashionista in the making...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:00 PM) :

I second the first anonymous entry:
"the family looks majestic"
i'm thrilled by the look!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:00 PM) :

God I love Warren. It's most certainly him because I recognise his kids from last time I saw him play.

I concur - he makes every other cultivated scenester seem pale in comparison. Bless!

Blogger PicasaDegas said ... (8:28 PM) :

I never though about how much Warren Ellis looks similar to Sebastien Tellier

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:59 PM) :

Hm... Are the Parisian barbers on strike these days? ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:17 PM) :

This is why I want to raise my future children outside of the U.S.!

Blogger Dan in Richmond said ... (10:26 PM) :

Number two is a model (figuratively speaking). Lovely.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:51 PM) :

This man is so magnetic. I love his shoes, pants, jacket, beard, eyes...

Blogger Camille said ... (10:51 PM) :

Truly the most beautiful family!

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (11:31 PM) :

The expressions on their faces are the real statements here. I believe in the future of the human race. At least when I look at these pics.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:43 AM) :

I love the girl's boots! The boys and their father seem to even each other out in hair/beard length.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:32 AM) :

this made me smile.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:36 AM) :

how adorable is that?
and, god, how beautiul are they?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:53 AM) :

Hey! Did you take these pictures in Montparnasse Area?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:23 AM) :

All cute young ones!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:41 AM) :

i know everyone's said, but damn, warren ellis. one of my heroes. saw him play almost a month ago on mt buller. magic experience. the next day i was looking out of my hotel window and see this family of people walking by, all wearing black jeans. faces were obscured by trees, but when they appeared it was nick cave, warren ellis and one of them's wife and kids.

something makes me think they could be cave's kids, cos he has two twin sons who are young

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:28 AM) :

GREAT scarves and GREAT beards are both trends. The both keep you warm in winter AND are an outward expression of oneself.

MORE BEARDS PLEASE !!

POGONOPHILE !!

Blogger Elena said ... (1:11 PM) :

Great to see children in your blog.
They look lovely!

Blogger Eliza said ... (1:49 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:08 AM) :

Those kids are beautiful, regardless of the stylish apparel! The girl wears her borrowed jacket with aplomb. The older boy on viewer left is bad a$$ and rocks it!

Blogger Anya said ... (2:46 AM) :

Sense of style in combination with innocence..

Blogger Alex said ... (8:02 AM) :

great family pictures
and a daddy cool!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:11 AM) :

Just absolutely inspirational. I hope to have such gorgeous kids one day - god willing.

I think that they all have great presence and absolutely comfortable with themselves and their styles. So they are wearing the clothes rather than the clothes wearing them.

Young boys with long hair is a must.

Blogger Mrs Stevens said ... (12:07 PM) :

Nick Cave will be SO jealous - considering his own sartorial experimentation. Love them both.

Blogger Nora said ... (8:52 AM) :

that mafioso picture up top just made my day. lovely--feels like the elder is dripping with a sordid past and passing his hard-got wisdom onto the next ones in. thanks.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:28 PM) :

The family portrait is love.

Love the woman's long green scarf: cute!

Blogger Mz. Paulzen said ... (2:06 PM) :

Love the paradxical look the dad pulls off! It's like pirate/banker or hippy vs. "the man." How can his kids not be precocious?

Blogger The Shopaholic said ... (8:51 AM) :

so cute!

Blogger la femme said ... (8:59 PM) :

Two of my favourite photos you've taken.

Those boys have impressive style.

Anonymous Larry said ... (9:31 AM) :

snappy, warren

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:52 PM) :

Those kids remind me of Let the Right One In. Quite menacing, but very cool.
