Fantastic casual blazer. Love the knit tie and scarf. If I had to nitpick I would make the pocket square a bit more pronounced. Awesome shot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:56 AM) :

I can tell that someone's glad to be home :)

Love the subtle mixture of textures and patterns. Very sophisticated.

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (10:59 AM) :

I have a pair of corduroys like those and a similar jacket. It's not an eye-popping look but comfortable.

He looks fantastic. Arike

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:04 AM) :

Great jacket and great fit. I love his color choices. Really perfect.

Does anyone else only button the middle button of their three-button jacket? Mine rumples, when I do, so I usually button the top two and unfasten the middle one, when I sit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:09 AM) :

What a beautiful beautiful man!

Ralph Lauren tweed-jacket, knitted tie and velvet trousers. Lovely photo.

Blogger UESman said ... (12:43 PM) :

no need for apologies! I completely understand the transition from a long sting in Florence to NYC!....HAha, I also like how the expression on the man's face kinda matches the mood of your title.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:53 PM) :

Corduroy, tweed, striped shirt and a soft woollen scarf. Oh yes, a knit tie as well. All my favourites since 30 years still going strong.

Blogger Mz. Paulzen said ... (1:08 PM) :

Extrordinary color pallet for his gorgeous skintone

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:08 PM) :

I get a little giddy when I see a well dressed man and a well dressed man in the USA...swoon. These muted colors aren't supposed to work well on dark skin. It's working beautifully here.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:10 PM) :

Ricola, I HOPE that those are, indeed, velvet trousers. It is also my hope that one day I can find that kind of texture and/or depth in a relationship, let alone a day's outfit. I love the interplay of the simple shapes: the rough checkers on the scarf, the gray static of the jacket, the blue stripe on the cuff.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:21 PM) :

This guy looks great. Love the way the subtle blue in the scarf (you can see it more clearly in the fringe) matches the the shirt.

Blogger junglesiren said ... (1:30 PM) :

Lovely guy. No big statement, just simple elegance.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:48 PM) :

Perfect. Beautiful combination of colors and textures. This is one of my favorite men's shots.

How did you pull off this kind of lighting??
Is it perhaps the tree?

Anyway, I LOVE this photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:00 PM) :

this is definitely one of the best overall outfits as far as cohesion is concerned. Solid from head to toe... fit, color combo, balance... and great textures

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:18 AM) :

JUST GOES TO SHOW....AMERICANS ARE DOING IT FOR THEMSELVES...LOL!

THIS OUTFIT IN MY OPINION IS PITCH PERFECT IN TERMS OF FIT, COLOUR PALET, AND OVERALL TEXTURE!
IF I HAVE ONE CRITIC ( ALBEIT A TINY CRITIC! ), THE POCKET SQUARE SHOULD BE A TAD MORE PROMINENT, A BIT MORE CONSPICUOUS.

ON THE WHOLE THOUGH I GIVE THIS LOOK A PERFECT 10!

Blogger Paul Pincus said ... (11:58 AM) :

SHARP! love this.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:19 PM) :

Gotta love that New York is back on the map, or site for that matter =P. I love walkin' the streets to find inspiration like this. This look is great.

Blogger Jamie Jane said ... (6:51 PM) :

the scarf is a beautifully detailed.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:16 PM) :

The lighting in this photograph is exquisite. I think you could have photographed anything and it would look beautiful. This man looks splendid however. Your photograph just enhances the fact.

Blogger andrea.at.the.blue.door said ... (11:51 PM) :

What astonishing light! The jacket isn't too shabby either.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:02 AM) :

Nice jacket. The light in the shot looks positively filmic. Does the left hand look a little retouched though?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:40 AM) :

Super cool! And he looks like a nice person too--as the French say, "bien dans la peau."

Blogger Jazzbuff630 said ... (9:11 AM) :

The outfit this fellow has on is going to make me hit Barney's Warehouse sale...and I said I was going to take a moratorium on shopping in 2009!

i love new yorkers!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:20 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:02 PM) :

Obviously one of the most gorgeous men alive! Love, LOVE, L-O-V-E the look!

Fantastic pic!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:19 PM) :

Looks great!! You bet - he's my nephew!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:11 PM) :

Great reserved, comfortable, versatile look...timeless. I really enjoy the two-tone scarf and how it pulls the shirt into the mix of earthtones. Doesn't look like he worked too hard to look good (his look lends some effortlessness to his attitude). He is a genius of sartorial excellence here.

Blogger hippie_cyndi said ... (10:45 PM) :

sexy debonair-look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:04 AM) :

Great fall look that suits him perfectly. I want that outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:19 AM) :

Good look in Ralph lauren

Blogger chiggafied said ... (11:39 AM) :

I'm almost sure that's a herringbone sport coat and not tweed.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:08 PM) :

His jacket is too tight. The scarf is too bulky and it looks like it is stuffed into the jacket.

Blogger MANICPROJECT said ... (4:43 PM) :

Great fit. It looks like the clothes are perfectly tailored for this gentleman.

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:33 AM) :

Forget the outfit - your photography is getting to be stunning!
