Comments on "On the Street.....Ms. Doré, Paris"
I do love grey. Navy suits it well.
Immaculate as always... I guess it's only fair now that she pops a picture of you on her site!
I agree with sidneyschaefer... Graceful Garance... A beautiful woman.
I love her blog! She's very beautiful.
too safe & expected....i'm all for simplicity but looks like a gap ad
Stunning, per usual.
Sigh. I do wish Garance would adopt me. Maybe some of her effortless elegance would rub off on me in time. A girl can dream, can't she?
Hello, this is the reason why we love her, she's smart and lovely and talentuous.
Garance Dore! Some people might think this is boring, but I don't think they get it. She looks extremely gracefully. I adore her and her blog.
Aaah Garance. It's great to see the person behind the blog, and she's incredibly stylish ! Her scarf looks amazing, this navy colour...
I love the texture and hand of a boiled wool or walk coat. the grey and navy look natural together.
She is so beautiful.
I can't stop looking at those shoes. The shape of the toe, the heel --perfect walking-around shoes.
And the lady is a natural beauty.
is this the same woman?

She's stylish!
Like her shoes, nicely worn in. I always imagine people in eternal pain wearing shoes that are too new. Great ensemble that doesnt have to cost a lot of money! Jorge from W Palm Beach
OMG! Thank you! What a perfect, calm beauty.
I read her blog every day.
Wow.
Garance is lovely as are the women she photographs
Her hair is what really makes this look work. Even though the jacket is pretty unstructed, it would look weird with boring pin straight hair. She really carries herself so well, and it does not appear at all that she is putting on a show or posing like some others. She seems so naturally graceful. Wonderful lady!
Love her blog and love her coat!!
Her blog is great. I'm so glad it's also in English now.
As for what she's wearing It's very elegant and easy and utilitarian. I particularly love the boy shoes and that coat.
She's really lovely and comes across in her blog as equally lovely on the inside.
Breathtaking serenity. I'm reminded of what Almasy said about Katharine in the English Patient - K's clothes always at ease on her. Beautiful shot.
Who knows where I can get shoes like that?
so elegant
she is quite an inspiration
*bisous*
ooh - i'm so excited to see her! her blog work and photographs are supberb! (*as are yours) :)
aha! the mystery of the very talented garance dore solved! of course she is lovely!
her denim is so thin it almost looks like paper and i love the silver peeking out from her dark sleeve
What a wonderful image of cool sophistication. Garance is beautiful. I love her jeans and shoes! (and her breathtakingly gorgeous blog).
Love the complete outfit !
The scarf and the shoes make it very interesting.
She has lovely hair too ...
Oh Garance...as beautiful as the subjects she photographs (not that you, Sart, are chopped liver :)
J'adore!
I love Garance - such natural style and ease. I love navy its so chic and elegant and the grey looks fantastic - superb.
Oh! I remember this coat. There was a post about it more than a year ago.

Haha! I'm amazed by the good memory that I have.
Love Garance! She looks so cool & stylish here, and effortlessly so.
xx
breathtaking! she's so graceful.
Gorgeous!
Fantastic!
i love her, she's divine
GARAAAANCE ! Love it.
awesome! ohhhhh, the irony!
She looks beautiful. Love the grey coat and shoes-Tod's loafers I think.
Love love love love love!
moi aussi!
the hair! perfect! as if it "just happened" that way.
i love gray and navy but i don`t like that coat with those wide pants
Garance is even more beautiful than I imagined. Breath taking!
i love her.
bisous
Her blog is phenomenal...my daily fix (plus you too, of course, Sart). Beautiful.
I would love to see a photo blog that's full of fashion photographers taking photos of each other. No joke. More often than not, I find the photographers much more interesting than their subjects.
Ah, Garance... Her blog too leaves me on cloud 9.
Your photographing her is like Renoir & Monet painting together!
Garaaaaaaaanceee!!!!!!!!
love that girl
xox
Ahhh is this the wonderful Ms Garance Dore! Its wonderful to finally put a name to the magnificent blog.
The epitome of chic.

I make it a great day by starting off with you Sart and the lovely Garance! A match made in heaven.
I will be moving to Paris soon and I hope to run into Her Chicness on the street.
Felicia, This Time Now
She is my style idol.
If anybody wondered about how to give a definition of the well-known but rarely seen french je-ne-sais-quoi, he has the answer !
Typical parisienn look. sober, chic, natural.
i love the generous cut of the gray wool coat on her. she looks so quietly confident and chic - a true inspiration!
I love her blog!
She is such a great fashion illustrator. I love everything about her!
As lovely as her pictures. What I love the most about her is that she takes pictures of subjects that have a similar appeal to her. She usually avoids the over-processed, too done up look.
What do you call that type of sleeve? There is a coat by Opening Ceremony that is cut that way. She's lovely, this lady.
I absolutely LOVE this coat! The color, the shape! So elegant!
Kristi

she is gorgeous! beautiful colours :)
yay!! an equally good photographer & subject!
Merci pour ces aperçus de Garance, Mr Sartorialist.
Despite the fact she talks a lot about style, and sometimes of hers, she never shows it on her own blog, certainly for 'shyness' (maybe I would rather use the word 'pudeur' in french).
We readers must be all glad to see that she is as stylish as her photos, texts and drawings.
(I have absolutely no clue how she manages to get this sweet 'halo' of light crowning the head of her models, but she seems to carry it on her head...)
Apologies if my English appears to be dysfunctional!
my boyfriend looked over my shoulder while I was looking at this photo and said, "Who is she? She looks French..."
I looked at him amazed.
A style so beautiful and defined that someone who has not much idea about it can look at a photo and see it. Gorgeous.
You look very stylish Garance!!Classy&Elegant without being boring.
And I think you did a great job with this picture:)
Ohhh notre Garance! Very cute coat
I love Garance's look and her loafers! I grew up wearing shoes like those and I still do. Nowadays, stylists on American TV shows like "What Not To Wear" trash them as frumpy and push ballerina flats instead. But Garance proves that they look classic with an elegant outfit. Allez Garance!
Ha, She even seems to have a saint's aureole! Garance is the epitome of chic. Masterly picture. Thanks.
Ooh I have the same shoes.
Love her style and her blog.
oh, how i love her!
LOVE that coat!
