Love the 'do and glasses in the first photo. The boots are great in the second, too!

Monochrome is fantastic.

Blogger Fashionate City said ... (9:09 AM) :

Loving the boots! She looks so great she manages to make THOSE pants look cool.

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:10 AM) :

NYC seems to be picking up a bit of Parisian flair with all this grey and black.

Blogger stephanie-sarah said ... (9:11 AM) :

i adore the woman's look - practical, comfortable and dark but somehow she still manages to look very feminine with her smokey eye makeup!

Blogger KD said ... (9:16 AM) :

Very fine capture of the beauty of Grey.

It's funny...those pics are taken in NYC, but I do actually see a lot of similar looks in Copenhagen, Denmark (Europe).

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:17 AM) :

Boots are rally nice and different greys and patterns combine perfectly in both photos...nice!

Blogger Gianni said ... (9:23 AM) :

Interestant Look.
She is fashionable girl

Blogger The Concrete Commentator said ... (9:26 AM) :

Again, love the layers! I like how her pants are bunched up in the last photo, the way the light catches the folds in the pant...love that! Love the rolled up pant and the fullness of the pant on the guy.

Blogger hc said ... (9:31 AM) :

who says one tone was obsolete?

Blogger lenmeister said ... (9:31 AM) :

Nice, ther's something somewhat equestrian about the lady's whole look..I luv it! she's reaal hot

Blogger Allen - East Hampton said ... (9:34 AM) :

She looks great.

Blogger kittenmasks said ... (9:36 AM) :

The girl on the bottom looks amazing. I love, love, love her pants.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:46 AM) :

Love Hannelore!!!!

Blogger stylethread said ... (9:56 AM) :

Both look fantastic. I'm inspired to wear all grey today. And even though I'm not a big fan of trendy harem pants, I do like these toned down versions.

Blogger Gillian said ... (10:11 AM) :

Looove the boots and the jacket in the 3rd photo, though I never will see the appeal of harem pants

Blogger The Voracious Vegan said ... (10:28 AM) :

The attitude is perfect, the look is flawless. Fearlessly delicious.

Blogger thestyleadvisor said ... (10:29 AM) :

Very nice layering and sunglasses on the gentlemen. The boots have that worn in look that all good boots should. My only gripe would be that the top block of his pants is unflattering creating a bit of a widened hips effect.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:33 AM) :

These are universal urbanites, probably working in the creative sector. The 'uniform' is updated in the details. The trousers, the glasses. Love how he has closed his cardigan only high up.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:53 AM) :

i like these pics. nothing "runway" fashion about them. all cool, chic, "this is me" looks!!

Blogger soulbitch. said ... (11:08 AM) :

oo i love the woman. her style is amazin'

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:30 AM) :

Fabulous!

Blogger Maria said ... (11:47 AM) :

He's the perfect example of how you don't even need color to make an outfit interesting... the layers and textures here are enough. Plus the details: the glasses and the cuffed pants showing his boots. So sexy!

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (11:58 AM) :

Love the masculinity of this ensemble. She looks fabulous. Love the frames.

Blogger yoonrs said ... (12:52 PM) :

love the way you framed the guy with the window tape... awesome space usage.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:53 PM) :

I see the woman in this photo has rolled her pants legs above her boots for a motor-cycle-pants look, yes?

This layered look is in contrast with the blue-white-cream look above ...

Layering works so well this time of year as we hover between winter and spring ... there is a comfort in knowing we will always be cozy ... despite the temps ...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:57 PM) :

ooh, love it! Anyone know were I can get a jacket like that guy has?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:08 PM) :

The woman is model Hannelore Knuts

Blogger bigdeal said ... (1:31 PM) :

Baggy pants make my sense of style cry.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:41 PM) :

hannelore knuts (belgian topmodel) always looks great!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:49 PM) :

Hannelore Knuts!

Blogger RubyRai said ... (1:56 PM) :

I'm guessing that's Hannelore Knuts? She's a great model with awesome style! Really love her look. Also loving the guy's sweater and glasses. Grey for the win :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:07 PM) :

Too masculine for me but nontheless very well put together.

Blogger No said ... (2:31 PM) :

I'm desperately in love with her harem pants...the volume, colour, and shape are so flattering. *swoon*

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:02 PM) :

I love layers of gray ad boots to it is just too perfect!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:10 PM) :

annie lennox?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:28 PM) :

Hannelore K = representing Belgium! you go girl, you make us proud!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:45 PM) :

Go for it,Hannelore Knuts !! Belgium rules ! :-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:15 PM) :

Hannelore Knuts!!! Stunning beauty! So happy to see her featured. She seems every bit as cool off the runway as as on it. Love the tone, texture, and proportion. I'm terribly biased towards this aesthetic. Her outfit is 11 out of 10, even if it would have been worn by someone else.

Sart! You're rocking hardcore lately.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (4:32 PM) :

wow, awsome outfits.

That lady is sooo sexy.

Blogger Stephanie Clayton said ... (4:47 PM) :

Both are quite appealing, stylish and comfortable-looking.
I like the girl's ensemble very much. I think it takes a tall person to pull off this look, and she does it so well.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:20 PM) :

I love the woman's look here. While it would be wonderful for my current lifestyle, I just don't have her wonderful attitude. I tend more toward conservative suits, very dressy--remember that woman in Italy some months ago, eating an apple? But I no longer spend my days in front of a camera, or shopping, or telling other well-dressed people what to do. I run after kids, little ones, and I need to be fast. No wobbling on high heels. I am studying this woman's look to learn. I think I would feel sloppy--I would have buttoned that cardigan more, but she looks good as is. Oh, Sart, you are beyond fashion, right to existentialism.

Blogger Laguna Beach Fogey said ... (5:21 PM) :

Nice photos. But I'm absolutely sick of Redwing boots (and copies thereof) worn by urban professionals in NYC, as if workman's boots from the 1930s are supposed to fashionable today. Give me a freakin' break. Enough already.

Blogger Anais said ... (6:18 PM) :

I love the both outfits. The woman's outfit is so well put together nothing clashes. Just Perfect.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:44 PM) :

As always Hannelore is even more stunning off-runway... la classe non è acqua!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:46 PM) :

The lady is sporting an acceptionally tight and cohesive look. I've really been digging the hoodie+cardigan combo as of late and it looks especially chic underneath the bomber. Just a wonderfully cozy yet edgy ensemble. Great shot!

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (7:07 PM) :

I saw your pics in Style.com and my jaw dropped, the 2nd pic/outfit is just gorgeous, love love love it! Something I sadly could never pull off, but she does so effortlessly...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:54 PM) :

oooh knuts? coulda sworn it was lennox

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (9:06 PM) :

I love the top photo. Great monochromatic fabrics. I have to find it all for myself.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:57 PM) :

She definately has the atitute and puts the look together. But I HATE it, so not feminine!

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (10:32 PM) :

Um. Not so sure. One thing doesn't work. What could it be...?

Blogger Bitch Whisperer said ... (10:50 PM) :

I would do him. I mean HER! I mean, nevermind. I'm always confused.

Blogger bevglen said ... (12:07 AM) :

She is SO spectacular - enough to inspire a whole collection!

Blogger Taylor said ... (1:11 AM) :

wow! that woman looks like the female version of one of my most stylish male friends... and that is a huge compliment! love her style, especially the hair!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:43 AM) :

Love her, I'm in love.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:59 AM) :

Where can one find boots like those found in picture number two?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:20 AM) :

cant stand the pants (im a skinny leg type of pant person myself) but other than that the look is top notch! i also love her hair and face.. very beautiful.

Blogger Daisy said ... (2:45 AM) :

I want to look like HER!

Blogger Laurence John said ... (5:25 AM) :

he is cool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:37 AM) :

The jack booted women is conveying a strong message with the whole look. Looks fabulously comfortable.

Blogger J.Yo said ... (8:43 AM) :

HER outfit seems to be the most attractive one to me!

Blogger David said ... (9:21 AM) :

wow. She is just glorious!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:01 AM) :

She is so at ease - nothing too carefully placed yet nothing out of place. Lovely.

Blogger Tramdog said ... (1:42 PM) :

I absolutely love all shades grey. I love the lighter grey cardigan on the woman with the slightly darker pants and black hair, undershirt, and jacket. Great outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:52 PM) :

The sunglasses must be a Persol 649 Havanna. Nice one!!

Blogger Shadan said ... (10:56 AM) :

oh, i love those pants!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:31 PM) :

Masculine, feminine. Who cares? She looks great.

Laguana Beach Trad: Get a grip. This is NYC. Since we actually walk a lot in all kinds of weather and often don't have cars we have more need for work boots than anyone but actual work boot required workers. Getting around this city is hell on shoes and feet. (I try to have compassion for the idiots walking around in blizzards with 4 inch heels.)

Blogger Rella said ... (12:35 AM) :

H.Knuts looks like I've always envisioned Cayce Pollard to look ( a character from a William Gibson novel) - effortless style.

Blogger Shaynuh said ... (6:32 AM) :

Her looks kind of industrial but its interpreted in a more imaginative and wearable way. She really gets into character with the dyed hair, eye makeup and glasses (although those may have been actually prescribed, there stylish glasses, nevertheless! :). She looks sharp! I like her style, its very cool and its a refreshing look. :)

*love those harem pants*

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:39 AM) :

she looks great :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:23 AM) :

Hannelore Knuts! Oh the memories.
She looks like a mix between Marilyn Manson and Amelie Earhart...the combination would seem impossble to work well but it looks charming on her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:20 PM) :

hannelore is amazing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:56 PM) :

He looks like Brad Pitt !

Blogger Mark Harris said ... (4:01 PM) :

Both, very cool.
