I love to see more of her bag ; it looks very interesting...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:52 AM) :

yes! fun, quirky, original and perfect with the stunning coat.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:56 AM) :

Gorgeous coat!! Anyone knows the brand?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:57 AM) :

Love the top shot! the serious sculptural lines of her coat contrasted with the shiny fun detail on the stockings - cool and chic!

Blogger Sanna said ... (10:14 AM) :

What a lovely detail. I was instantly inspired! :D

White Wall High Heel

Blogger stylethread said ... (10:23 AM) :

My scroll-down was: love, love, then oh my god those shoes are hideous with the tights.

Blogger Julicious Fashionicious said ... (10:36 AM) :

Blogger ediot said ... (10:36 AM) :

i love the tights. need A PAIR: where to get it

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:39 AM) :

The top photo makes her look like a giant white pear.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:40 AM) :

Oh to be tall & able to wear a voluminous coat like that!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:40 AM) :

love the tights! WHO are they??

Blogger smartheit said ... (10:43 AM) :

love it all the way - súper cool!

Blogger The Concrete Commentator said ... (10:53 AM) :

Great photograph, with all the black coats in the background and her ivory color coat just pops!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:54 AM) :

Love it all save for the shoes.

Needs some height.

Blogger Catalina said ... (10:55 AM) :

Gorgeous bag
Cute girl

Blogger sallymandy said ... (11:06 AM) :

Oh, this is terrific...the gold of her shoes and the gold of her hair. It's like the whole outfit is there to draw attention to her face. I love the simplicity.

Blogger rosemary said ... (11:14 AM) :

i need those!

Blogger hannah said ... (11:37 AM) :

I need a pair of those tights!! Does anyone know who makes them, and if they're tow pairs layered, or one?
I disagree with some, i love the shoes, especially with the tights.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:44 AM) :

Wow, fantastic tights!

Blogger junglesiren said ... (11:59 AM) :

Beautiful girl. The coat is perfect for just about any woman, any size. It hides a multitude of physical imperfections - though I doubt this chick has many. I like the detail on the back of the tights - they're a nice surprise.... The shoes are unfortunate (and I must say I hate flat flats but these include a wrong color IMO) but on someone so lovely and with such great taste in coats... I'll let her slide.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:09 PM) :

"Parisiens" love wear black tights and flat shoes.

Blogger stylethread said ... (12:13 PM) :

for those wondering, the tights are by bebaroque.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:32 PM) :

Love the entire look, including the shoes. In fact I think the shoes are brilliant with the tights and with the entire look, head to toe. They add another element of interest; break up the black; keep the tights from looking tarty; and compliment the color of her bag.

Blogger makescoffeenervous said ... (12:32 PM) :

she looks great. she looks comfortable. the look wouldn't be as good if you took out those "hideous" shoes. sometimes (most times, in my opinion), the thing that seems off is what actually makes the outfit extraordinary. it what makes it truly yours. :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:46 PM) :

Her coat is perfect. The cream colour, the texture. One of few reasons for winter to hang on.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:51 PM) :

Lovely girl! I love everything but the shoes!

Katerina

Blogger diane said ... (1:11 PM) :

The tights are too cool! I'd love to see them with an evening look, too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:23 PM) :

such an adorable white coat and looks beautiful against the contrast of her tights!

Blogger Elizabeth said ... (1:37 PM) :

mmhhhh no, I don't like the look at all. Those shoes with the coat and the tights!! all those things together don't look good.
Elizabeth

Blogger The Spicers said ... (1:44 PM) :

Love the coat and the gold tights!

Blogger Maria said ... (1:49 PM) :

That's cool!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:01 PM) :

LOVE + LOVE +LOVE that coat (and the rest)
She is so cute. Love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:17 PM) :

Today's theme: Europeans are chic and cool because they "unapologetically" smoke. Did I get it right?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:55 PM) :

Liked the coat, but totally wrong shoes.

Blogger Cris Piera said ... (2:56 PM) :

I love those tights and the coat and her and everything (even the shoes, this choice makes the outfit more personal by breaking the rules)

If I can't find the Bebaroque tights in my trip to London this week, they will be my next DIY project ;-)

Thanks for so much inspiration Sarto!

Blogger Barbara said ... (3:03 PM) :

I think the coat is Isabel Marant. It's beautiful. Love the black legs but the shoes are icky.A chunky black ankle boot would have pulled it all together perfectly. Hope she's got lots of money for her drycleaning bills!

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:45 PM) :

dead ringer for genevieve bujold

Blogger ellastica said ... (3:45 PM) :

her combination of bare face, black turtleneck, and tucked-in hair is very sensuous.
i loved the reflective quality of her practical, non-obvious bag choice.

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (3:51 PM) :

That coat is perfection! The double hood, the cut, the gleaming ivory, the texture of the fabric, love it!

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:57 PM) :

tights are also from free people

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (4:24 PM) :

What an amazing coat! I'd like to have one in mens-version!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:31 PM) :

This woman has magnificent taste. The colors, the line, the details, everything has been carefully considered and is utterly delicate. A true 'Sartorialiste'!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:47 PM) :

I love your blog :)

Blogger Hemaly said ... (5:03 PM) :

I love the whole look. It's adorable!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:06 PM) :

The tights are from a wonderful design duo called Bebaroque - they've got some really fabulous designs! Great spot - I love the way she wears them x

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:29 PM) :

love her hair!!
i would not have thought of pairing those shoes with the tights but i like it.

Blogger Miguel said ... (5:32 PM) :

What a balck and white combo... I love it

Blogger Di said ... (5:46 PM) :

Great color combination for her hair and skin tone. Good designs for height but I thought the coat is a little too large. Love the purse.

Blogger Caroline said ... (5:55 PM) :

The epitome of cutting edge Paris chic. Love how the glimmery bag echose the gold-backed tights. And the coat, of course, is to die for. Wish I could see the detail of that ring...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:07 PM) :

love the tights and the shoes as well!!and black & white always so hot!

Blogger THE CAT'S MIU said ... (6:22 PM) :

I NEED that coat!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:29 PM) :

I can't stand the shoes! They take an outfit with huge sculptural potential and give it a thrift-store sensibility. I get that some people like that twist, but in Northern California, I'm surrounded by bad lines and hippie details that miss the mark.

This would have been sensational with a black ankle boot with a medium-stacked heel, or some sort of chunky black shoe. Even a black skimmer... anything but these.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:30 PM) :

She looks like an angel - I'll be she's hiding her wings under that coat . . . .

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:32 PM) :

Actually I think the tights are free people. Bebaroque has studded tights, but not all over the back like this.

Blogger Room4777 said ... (6:45 PM) :

nice clean cut outfit except for the holes in the tights...the ring and cigarette are a nice touch the second image.

Blogger Meg said ... (6:47 PM) :

Ah I want those tights!!!! Wonder where I could get a hold of them in Sydney....

Anybody?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:56 PM) :

Yes, I think the coat is Isabel Marant because I got the same one in Black. When I was in the store they didn't have this colour. I love this look too. Same coat but I wouldn't look this elegant unfortunately. Everyone hates the shoes but I actually like them. I think they make the outfit more special.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:33 PM) :

here's my question~!

Is her coat a vintage find that's multiple sizes too big? or is it a new design with a more avant garde shape?

thoughts?

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (8:33 PM) :

Great look! I normally would not think of pairing summer shoes with winter tights and coat but it all works!

Blogger August Clothing said ... (9:49 PM) :

Great tights! Love how simple the look is.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:58 PM) :

Love everything except the shoes, they're wrong

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:31 PM) :

the shoes!!!!! they match the hair color!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:05 AM) :

That is the most chic jacket I have seen in a long time. I LOVE it! But I could do without those shoes. Maybe an Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Pump or even a simple black flat? The shoes just look cheap, when everything else is absolutely stunning.

Blogger Cassie Jo - Tofuscloset said ... (12:56 AM) :

totally loving the patterned tights in the first pic!

Blogger stephanie-sarah said ... (1:44 AM) :

good question diana, too bad i cant answer it, all i can say is that i would die for a coat like that this winter!

Blogger Alicia said ... (2:22 AM) :

so cozy, I love it! Would wear in a second

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:36 AM) :

the tights are fantastic.
i might not wear those shoes but i understand the intention to continue the pattern.
Chanel did tights like these recently, not with cut outs but two divided elements on the leg. very provokatve. i would like a par myself. You simply can't fake great legs. you can fake boobs and butt, cheekbones, hair, so many things can be tied or hussied up but great legs, you've got them or you don't.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:29 AM) :

fabulous ! so harmonic & surprising at the same time....

Blogger myslak said ... (4:35 AM) :

White is a colour that so few people are able to deal with, moreover it’s so difficult to combine white and black in one outfit and that’s why I admire so much the woman from two pictures above. P.S. The shoes = great personal touch for the whole outfit.

Blogger  said ... (5:38 AM) :

Simple...Lovely...women.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:20 AM) :

Really sophisticated, refined palette and textures. The shoes are great for extending the holey textures but appear a little down at heel. From my perspective as a parent of small kids, the coat looks so fresh! new! and clean!

Blogger eloise in berlin said ... (6:23 AM) :

cute sexy stockings with that lovely shaped coat - she's got it down pat. Like her slightly frumpy shoes too...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:10 AM) :

Back view simply does not work, combination of the mesh tights and those shoes - a back check in the mirror would have helped, .....,
the look from the front is great.....

Blogger Nikki - - Monomestile - - said ... (9:37 AM) :

excellent!! so Dior 1957.

Blogger miss sophie said ... (10:04 AM) :

such an ethereal look - i love her play on lattice-work in the back of her tights and her little deconstructed oxfords!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:19 AM) :

Exquisite!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:58 AM) :

WOW!!!
I've never seen such amazing tights***
SO CUTE!!!
Can i get it in KYOTO??;)

Blogger Aaron Brown said ... (2:23 PM) :

très chic... le manteau est super beau!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:44 PM) :

@anonymous 2:17
I don't think that's the theme at all. I think the theme is that each person does their own thing. And some happen to look really good.
Ain't that just swell?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:36 PM) :

Each time I look at this image I am vaguely reminded of a medieval page stepping smartly across a castle courtyard. Minus the ciggie, of course. Utterly charming.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:02 PM) :

Oh,wa I love it!!!

Blogger CHIC Sensibility... said ... (11:42 PM) :

She looks great. Simple sophistication is what I call it. And that coat is so fab.
Stay chic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:45 AM) :

Her ensemble instantly revitalized my Tuesday!

Blogger The DQ said ... (11:38 AM) :

Blogger Cultivated Ah Lian said ... (5:40 PM) :

Blogger Felipe D. L. said ... (9:08 PM) :

is it just me or the shoes, the hair colour and the cigarette filter match? hhaha, interesting =)

Blogger M About Town said ... (12:08 AM) :

I absolutely ADORE this entire outfit- but I'm LUSTING after that jacket!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:21 AM) :

this girl effortlessly blows my mind. beaux to perfection.

Blogger joanne said ... (7:30 AM) :

this is just adorable , love everything, well except the cigarette

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:32 PM) :

oh! but the pattern on the shoes references the pattern on the tights! i love this outfit! how the b/w contrast is softened by the shoes, which refers to the hair. very smart. i like how the clothes are great, but the outfit is just put together so friggin' well.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:51 PM) :

I think the bag is from Anteprima.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:20 PM) :

love love love! the tights are awesome!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:06 AM) :

I like that. A lot.

Blogger audrey said ... (11:58 AM) :

the tights, for those who asked, are bebaroque, and you can buy them on www.mytights.com. they are the "brassy" style, but their other styles are amazing as well.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:11 PM) :

at once chic and adorable.

also comes across as less self-consciously "fashionable" as some others featured on the site. seems to cut more to the heart of the original mission...

Blogger Olviya said ... (12:47 PM) :

so simple and interesting at the same time! i love the shape of her coat...
that ring on her hand...
and, for sure, shoes!

Blogger SarahwithanH said ... (7:03 PM) :

Her tights are gorgeous I want them! Her shoes are quite lovely as well.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:47 PM) :

i stand just like that and i only know trhee people in the world that do that !!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:36 PM) :

:D Oh, I love the combo of those simple vintage looking shoes with that über trendy coat! That’s what makes the outfit. Seriously, those of you that don’t love those shoes got to be american or something. :p haha.. She sort of reminds me of Odile in Band of Outsiders (which is my wardrobe muse..) . Perfect!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:03 AM) :

this is love at first sight right here..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:15 AM) :

the tights are from free people!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:32 PM) :

I can recognize my old school... whatever..subrite

Anonymous roxana said ... (11:08 AM) :

i love your blog. you are true inspirational.

Anonymous Paris Hotels said ... (8:59 AM) :

She is a true beauty, but it's all because of paris :) got to visit there more frequently somehow!

Blogger fshnvctm said ... (6:58 PM) :

Great Coat, great detail on the tights but I would have chosen a different "quieter" shoe; sturdy black bootie, high heel or a weighty flat boot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:36 AM) :

I simply love the shoes! Every time I look at this blog I see a thousand of thing I wanna buy, but unfortunately not enough money :(
