Comments on "On the Street....Red & Green, Milano"
Love her purse. And her hair is magic!
Love the glasses.
Is that her natural hair color? Would be so cool if it were. Lucky her in any case. Gorgeous tresses.
wonderful!
i totally love this picture, the light, so naive, is great, and the pin in her jacket, totally deserves a close up!
bestregards!!!
the pear is the icing on the cake...brilliant!
she's so beautiful; I love her jacket, her glasses, her hair...
EXCELLENT.
so chic and smart. I love it. Especially the jacket, and the clutch

Sart,
I'm really enjoying this image - just striking. Could you talk a bit to the photographers out here about how you made this image? Are you only working with available light?
a red head in green velvet..another classic that we needed reminding of..thanks!
She is a bit of Ireland in Milan.
I am so attracted by this picture because it reminds me the amazing time I spent in Dublin (I miss that city), and because she looks quite similar to a dear friend of mine... I can't stop watching!
A special note to her glasses, fashionable but not too ordinary (as big nerd glasses are)
Love her hair! Her glasses are perfect. and I like her fitted little jacket, with the...looks like a pear brooch. It's all very collegiate, in a good way!
Gorgeous!!!!
xxx
By the way, I'd suggest her to change the brooch because this one looks too much as something bought at a Topshop store 2 years ago...
The hair makes this picture brill I think!
I've long red hair too.... wearing bottle green always makes me look too St. Patrick's Day-ish. But this girl looks great! Will reconsider my aversion. x
LOVE that green velvet w/ that red hair...so dynamic! What a great pic!
LOVED IT!!!
Her hair with those tortoiseshell glasses--the combination is beyond.
i love her hair, so fiery..such stand out against the green velvet

WoW.. Fantastic picture!
I LOVE MILANO!
she is fantastic- a natural beauty in green velvet on a strip of green grass in the midle of a bustling city street- this is a great photo!
Amazing photograph! Honestly, I actually gasped.
I love her hair and purse
She's absolutely beautiful!
If Millais or Dante Rossetti were alive they would be fascinated by her!
the composition of her beautiful hair against the jacket is magnificent!
Great fit, texture, and silhouette, but the green on green on auburn is too close to st. patty for my comfort.
love it when readheads don't wear pink or red. she has great style and doesn't look like it took her too much time to dress. a bit tomboy-ish. her colour sense reminds me of tilda swinton another very very stylish redhead.
Fantastic! Like a 'contemporary' version of a Botticelli painting!
Congratulations to both: girl and sart!
It's funny how colour reference works for each person… it made me remember of Botticelli… others Ireland… ahhh the world!
She has my hair colour!! Pretty much exactly! What an awesome surprise to see this photo in my google reader :)
She has the perfect shade of red hair. :) LOVE. The Green velvet coat is quite stunning, great combination, fabu picture
She's just beautiful, her hair is more than magic. That's a great pic!
xXx

Breathtaking - a real redhead with her porcelain skin. A beautiful woman. I would have preferred to see a looser, wider bottom to her silhouette for some edginess, although she does look neat and slender in her jeans. The colours are lovely and gentle. She's gorgeous.
Her red hair against the green velvet is fabulous and the pin accent is perfect!

Love the red hair. Its so unique and beautiful, great photo.
Amazing colour combination!
The DOF in this shot is so beautiful.
Wow! Too beautiful for words!
Bella donna! Great glasses and a lovely shot. And not a cell phone in sight.
This picture is FANTASTIC! I love everything about it. The hair, the glasses the green velvet jacket, the clutch. It really is just an AWESOME picture.
well done.
She looks absolutely gorgeous!
Her hair is fantastic, and she did a good job with wearing this bottle-green jacket. gives it so much deepness. This hair should not have a competition in colour. Just perfectly matched.
I'm impressed.
Gorgeous green.
Never thought Id see a velvet blazer again, but she works it really well, and that hair...
Red hair and bottle green, one of my favourite combinations...
i don't know why but i'm reminded of a medieval throwback, because her hair is so awesome and she's wearing velvet. great shot!
that blazer is a dream!
this is a powerful photo
Now I want a green velvet blazer! :)
What matters it if she purchased her brooch at Topshop a few years ago? Could be this is a young woman who judges her possessions not by cost or age but by the value she finds in them.
I think the glasses are Ray Ban. If not, they make a very similar pair... I'm wearing them right now.
She's heavenly.
this picture is technically really, really good!
I love that green velvet, and the tiny pear is it cute or what. But that hair, I can't move my eyes from it, it looks like fire.
A velvet jacket can be very chic if you dress it up simply instead of over the top.

I am not too fond of the glasses. However, her hair juxtaposed against her green velvet jacket, makes the outfit... and her just exquisite.
love the colors...hair, velvet and skin.....great portrait
She really knows how to compliment her red hair, it looks stunning. I absolutely love her colour choices, and this really shows the importance of material as well. The velvet makes it look magical, enchanting.
Beautiful hair - green looks so good with auburn. Also velvet is HOT
style remains
Stunning! Her fire spun hair and luxurious velvet green blazer result in a magnificent combination. Great photograph!

so beautiful
red hair likes that leaves me green with envy
*baci*
She is just awesome.
Would love to see her shoes.
i'm loving the eyeglasses.
I have that same jacket and every time wear it I lament I don't have a red maine like this beautiful girl.
Well, now, that's just not fair.
I never thought I would want a green velvet suit....
This is stunning.
i suggest she puts a gold "button"(my english is a bit limited on such themes) to enlight the jacket. I did with my own green velvet jacket(actually i took them from a Marine jacket) and that really gives it a special thing..details change everything i believe.
Breathtaking photo. Can't take my eyes off of it.
Simple outfit yet the colour, hair and glasses make it stunning. I wish I was a red head!
Thank you for showing all facets of beauty!
This photo has a different feel than your other photos. amazing clear/focus. new camera? Did you take this through a window - I seem to see a reflection/glare across her forehead? I think this is one of your best ones yet.
The red and green are really lovely but what gets me is the gray and green. Lovely combination and the fit on everything is perfect. As for the brooch, anyone who would look at that and judge her less for having brooch from topshop from two years ago is far from a fashion setter and of no importance.
beautiful, simple and to die for.
OMG that HAIR!!!! Beautiful.....but I don't understand what's with these fake geeky glasses nowadays? Can anybody enlighten me?
an angel caught in your lense, breathtaking!
The simplicity of her black pants and grey top emphasise the luxurious fabric and colour of her jacket. I love her tiny blue clutch tonally matches. Her (amazing!) loose hair and the spectacles prevent her looking too dramatic. Great post, Sart.
May I add how happy I am that today is the beginning of a wonderful new era of hope and that America has a new First Lady who is beautiful, elegant, modern and supremely stylish, yet is clearly so much more than her clothes?
Velvet is my favourite fabric !
The green is beautiful, almost regal...I can see a Queen like Anna Boleyn in the 16th Century walking in a dress made in the same colour and fabric...
The girl has royal hair too ...fierce !!
Love that little detail of the pear brooch...
epic!!!
Wow! Great hair . . . great glasses!!
The fabric looks so luxurious--adds an elite quality to her look.
stunning.
glasses are amazing.
same with her hair. i wish mine was like that
as a natural redhead who owned a green velvet blazer in college, i have to say it got a lot of compliments. but it always felt like a lazy fashion choice.
Fantastic contrast. The red complements the green and this outfit looks very well with the colour of her skin. So cool...
She is delightful! You've really been inspiring me a lot, lately. My favorite three photos in a long while are this, the woman with the striped stockings & yellow coat, and the older, grey haired woman with the gorgeous monochromatic ensemble of pewter and earth-tone grays. It's all very invigorating. Thank you.
Gorgeous gorgeous photo! The texture of the velvet, the colours...love it!
Wow. As a redhead, I was certain I would read these comments and some of them would be negative. So glad to hear the positive thoughts about red hair.
Gorgeous just gorgeous! Like a sartorialist Botticelli.
I'm insanely in love with the colors.
Beautiful in every way.
she's like a pre-raphaelite vision... ethereal and stunning.
yet, there is something about the pin that throws the look off. i would prefer the outfit's simplicity without the brooch. or with a vintage gold brooch. (however, who knows, it may hold sentimental value or have a deeper story/meaning, which totally transcends my superficial, purely aesthetic judgments..)
I can't get over this picture! I love it to death!
This is adorable. The forest green color sets of her hair so nicely.
I love this picture. It's whimsical. :)
She looks just wonderful.
Only 2% of the worlds population are true redheads. Scotland's population has 13%.
She has power in her beauty. She looks to be a modern queen
Montgomery
I'm in love with her.
She's gorgeous!
wow all of the details of the outfit look great. From her nail polish to the pin, to the strap of the clutch and just everything. The colors of the background are great too.
so gorgeous...omg sart you have captured such a romantic moment here. The texture of the velvet contrasting with her hair is great, in addition to the obvious color complements.
In my next life when I come back I'm coming back as her, eternally in this pose and dress.
This photo is absolutely stunning, extremely well done as usual, something out of a fairy tale. Her jacket looks so luscious and her hair my goodness! Beautiful skin, lovely glasses, very honest and humble.
To "The Fashion Setter" that was straight up the dumbest comment I've seen here yet. I would be ashamed of myself if I judged someone's pin like that, as if it matters where it's from or how old. You know nothing about this girl or her choice in clothing and accessories and seemingly nothing about style either from that comment alone. I normally check out comment's blogs but rest assured you will receive no traffic from me.
This one is stunning -- composition, color, texture, everything. Your work just keeps getting better and better!
Everything is just so harmonious with each other, truly bringing out her features. The voluminous hair, light glowing skin and the shape of her body are all apparent. The more mellow darker lighting also brings a somber and sophisticated mood to this portrait.
Beautiful...it reminds me of a friends wedding. She had a naturally redder shade of hair, and worked for a fashion house at the time. They made her a green velvet jacket with gold embroidery, worn over a softly drapped cream dress...that was over thirty years ago.
A fashion statement that has no time limit.
Wow, great shot !
There's an amazing grace in it.
This green is wonderful for red heards!!!
And it is such a beautiful picture with the rails and the fallen leafs, very romantic!
this is worthy of a campaign on all billboards of the world so that everyone can admire all the beauty there is in this photo and your unique talent of capturing such precious images. this is a priceless photo and it seems to be from another time and another place (like a painting) but modern and relevant for today's world- and btw, i love that pear brooch!!
very moving
definitely one of the best shots on the blog
beatiful hair and perfectly matched with the green jacket, great picture !
Max
p.s. i love girls with glasses..
love, love, love this shot.
she looks perfect in the different tones of green and her natural, make up less face is the icing on the cake.
she looks gorgeous!
The Jacket tone, with brooch and clutch. Love em..
o my gosh perfect picture in the picture imazing a colors
Hey cool, I'm pretty sure she is Eva, my singer from my old band. Just haven't seen her in about 10 years or so. She's Northern Italian.
What a gorgeous photo. I love the way her hair seems to blowing in the wind while nothing else around her is.
She looks like poison Ivy in disguise!
the location look like in berlin....
The pear makes the outfit!
Fabulous hair, absolutely gorgeous.
is this near the corner of via felice belotti and viale piave? near the d&g showroom?
I love when redheads where green. And the texture of the velvet is even better. It adds a royal touch to her otherwise casual look (i.e.her navy clutch, jeans, and wild hair).
Fantastic
the pear, the purse, the glasses, that perfect green jacket, her smile and that gorgeous red and divine hair! She is a goddess of style! PERFECTION!
i ljust love the whole look... there's something model-esque about her...
i ljust love the whole look... there's something model-esque about her...
She looks as though she might have sprouted there up from the grass and leaves. Such a breathtaking shot and subject!
this picture melts my heart!
let me think that she is my girl from breakfast at tiffany´s
Oohh, how beautiful... Her hair is magical! And she's wearing it perfectly with that dark green velvetjacket and the glasses. Admiring!
her look is so fantasy, her hair and her face!
can't.move.my.eyes.away.from.screen
this photo makes me wish i was a redhead just to wear a green velvet jacket and pull it off the way she does. besides, the photograph is beyond perfection.
oh my god. the colors! long red hair, emerald jacket, blue clutch. she may be my favorite i've seen on your sight in a year.
i dont think she cares about clothes and that is what makes her unique on this blog...
ugh I wanna be a redhead now..
Looks like Berlin to me too, I say Greifswalder Str between Danziger Str and Am Friedrichshain. Do I win?
I love your photos - the fact that its true beauty, not just model perfection, and true individual style, not slavish fashion-following - nothing else on the web like it :)
A young Grace Coddington...
I've never been a fan of the color green, but everytime I see pictures like this it reminds me that I gotta wear more green, since it is so beautiful together with my haircolor. yes, I got the same color as the girl in the pic, just that hers is a bit more faded than mine.
I gotta wear green! *makes an mental-note*
gorgeous colors, that green and her hair, makes me want to build lush library filled with novels of perfect versus!
Sweet!! :--)
i have not been by in awhile but i do so love this picture
The picture & the subject are both too fantastic!
I could fall in love with her, by just looking. Lovely subtle
not berlin... looks to me like the tracks of the 9/29 tram in milan, up from porta romana
theres something very attractive, albeit the slighly off centre geek-like look of this. the orange and deep velvet emerald with the pear accent is just perfecto:))
I her hair, and when paired with the green velvet it reminds me of young innocent irish dancers.
Oh, it's a great time to be nerd!
The redheaded woman is so beautyful.I love the picture.
Stunning :~))
a class act.
She reminds me of Yves Saint Laurent. the colour of her hair on the velvet green blazer... very powerful!
I would even dare to say a real life Jean Grey (x-men). stunning in every way imaginal, i adore her hair and glasses.
Don't you just want to talk all about it? She knows - at one level -
how grand she is. When she learns other levels as well, oh! my goodness!
The red hair and the green velvet jacket - the unexpected and special!
I've thought green velvet might look like a billiard table, but this jacket is just stunning!
nice picture
gorgeous botticelli like stance, stunning!
These are beautiful photos! I love it! It really catches attention.
This is who I want to be. Intelligent, stylish, red head.
Wow, so pretty picture .Thanks for sharing it.
