Comments on "On the Street....Layered, Paris"
Love the hair's contrast with the tonal blues.
super shoes
Awesome layering (^_^)
I love it, cute-granny style.
Generally, I would say this is a no, but in this case, the long sweater underneath the jacket gives the impression of a dress. The dark, flat sneakers are the perfect pairing for this outfit. Also, I love the way french women go around with their hair oily, it's so much healthier.
So I guess Converse-like shoes are popular in Paris as well, thats good to know.
The dress underneath is fantastic, however I'm not crazy about the fabric of the jacket she's wearing.. it almost throws the outfit off for me.
That many layers would be quite daunting on a date. It's like a woolen chastity belt...
Hi Scott,
Love the different textures and shades of grey, and the button stance on her long sweater.

I like this. I love the blue and grey shades you've used, from the ground to the wall, the layers that envelope her, her funky shoes that anchor it in with a casual vibe...and which also happen to match the wall in a punchy teal.
I also like the mood it sets. It's undone and messy, like her hair, but it works. I feel calm looking at it :)
that door!
Gorgeous compose,
classic chic and discret,
gorgeous girl too.
love french's.
mmm lovely cardigan !
nice use of colours
The color saturation in this photo is both beautiful and astounding. You're writing your own history, Scott. Bravo, kudos and all other congratulatory terms.
I am loving these grey posts, the layering of different shades and textures, and the backgrounds play so beautiful into the images. I love how you manage to capture the 'light' of somebody so well.
Looks like she's wearing three cardigans.
Love this wonderful grey look,... except the shoes.
You can't wear Converse after 15 !
I can't believe how rich the colours are in your photos. It's inspiring to look at. A feast for the eyes!
i don't like this at all. also, it totally makes me feel better about the fact that my hair color is growing out.
I absolutely love the wool blazer(?) paired with the dress, and a cardigan. The epitome of comfortable and warm layering.
un look perfectooo!!!

great hair, great outfit... but i'm not a fan of those shoes...
cela gache un peu l'ensemble.
I love her whole outfit especially with the converse!
i love the background with this photo, it is very suiting.
Great layering of sweaters - would have never thought of it myself.
Terribly frumpy. Is this an example of how not to dress?
I love her layers, and she makes those sneakers look so chic!

I love her shoes, I just wonder what her outfit would look like with out the jacket.
if that´s layered - i´m all in for layers.
Her converse paired with soft greys and feminine tights are a fabulous contrast.
Wow, it does not matter what this woman wears...her eyes make the ultimate statement.
cool contrast between her hair color and the blues.
I love the diamond shape that the blouse and sweater make... It's almost like a poor girls jewelry
This look depicts true blue. The varying shades of blue complimented with the variety of layered textures, especially the jacket. I heart the long, curved lapels of the jacket.
I like this outfit and the unexpected shoes are very nice. I do wish that we could see the bit of outfit that is under the open long grey sweater. is it shorts or a skirt?
Everything but the shoes. The upper bits have an 'orphan elegance.' The shoes say Orphan, but without any grace.
Frenchie, I'm 46 and my Converse lowtops are clear vinyl so folks can see my hand knit socks.
If I'm ever to old to wear what I want, I hope someone has the decency to put me down (excepting the possibility that I'm wearing spandex to the mall ... but I digress).
I love this whole look. The layers are delicious. I like the black stockings with the black shoes. She has style.
her hair is amazing in this. brings the whole thing to life
Love those doors, makes for a great backdrop.
the all-stars fits so well with the rest. It's unexpected and gets awesome.
Sorry, but no. This just looks sloppy. Did you catch her as she ran out to get a pack of Gitanes at the corner store? Not an elegant look at all.
The door, on the other hand... what treasures lie behind it? And I love the tones of blue. It looks well worn and well loved.
absolutely hate converse, under any and all circumstances. they're not cute or clever
or stylish or sexy or attractive. they ruin everything.
get real shoes.
Well, dear Indigo Warrior, I'm 51, and I definitely leave Converse shoes to youngsters (as well as Chupa Chups :D) Matter of elegancy...
But "les goûts et les couleurs" is very a very personal matter.
like it!:)))))
little too much happening with the 2 jackets... but all the colors compliments beautifully..
Love this whole outfit. Can easily be glammed up with great heels and the right accessories.
love the blue doors you shot against.
I love her no matter what she's wearing!
She's actually Brazilian and has been living in Paris for several years. Very chic and gorgeous girl!!!- and a lot of fun too!
Cool! Grey is so appealing and these textures go well together. Nice contrast to her hair colour as well.
FINALLY! Very cool look. I looove how natural she is. She makes such a presence without having hair/makeup done. Beautiful girl!
I love Converse and Vans canvas shoes with a suit. I know that's very LA but it's the California culture I was raised in. I absolutely love this look! Youth and style!
The layers are subtle and magnificent! I recently found your blog and definitely will be checking in for more beautiful inspirations.
well, its kind of nice use - to write about mixing of colors here. but i really do love those deep but calm and 'wise' blue...
and those shoes, very modern...
Standing in front of that door, she looks to be about 6 inches tall. It's really wierd...
I want all her stuffs !!
Adorable !!!
love it! who said parisians don't wear sneakers??
That's very provocative layering. Not a big fan of the sneakers though. Some interestingly delapidated ankle boots might have been better.
These shoes have won me over, aren't they Converse? They give this outfit interest, no?
She is an inspiration. She is willing to discover, if you are worthy.
I know her!! That´s nice! Cool look!
