Such beautiful photos. How is it possible for one woman to look so stylish in every single one of them. Wow! I feel so jealous.

Blogger Nomadic said ... (5:15 PM) :

Thats her name! I always save her pics because she is so inspiring! She has something about her, whenever I feel like just going to work looking "blah" I think of her femininity and how I would love to feel like that, and pull out a diva look! Thanks!!

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (5:15 PM) :

These are expensive looks, to be sure. She definitely likes Bottega Veneta; nonetheless, it seems to me that many of the pieces in these pictures go much beyond a couple of seasons, to become timeless classics of extremely high quality. Moreover, these look like pieces she could pack in one suitcase and mix and match to create several more outfits. Definitely a fashionista with the eye of a magazine editor. she is absolutely lovely! i love her old world, old hollywood glamour and allure...she has a very vintage air.

Blogger Sunny said ... (5:15 PM) :

oh I love her style, especially the last photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:17 PM) :

Simply amazing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:23 PM) :

She has such grace!
These photographs really show that off.
And her outfits are beautiful, mostly because they just suit her so well. Here is a person who knows exactly what colors to wear to bring out her best features and what shapes to wear to bring out her elegance.

Blogger TMFA said ... (5:25 PM) :

Wow. She looks super high-end, jetset stylish. Love the looks and the richness that it vibrates. Often people tend to go tacky when they have money to spend, but rarely you see individuals really knowing what they are spending on. Quality!

Blogger VanessasRunway said ... (5:28 PM) :

she is so extraordinarily exquisite!

Blogger Rakel said ... (5:48 PM) :

Very Stylish! Perfect!

Blogger Polina said ... (5:49 PM) :

The magnificent woman!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:07 PM) :

OMg she is bautiful! i like her sense of colour combination. love that deep red dress, can somebody tell me what brand it is?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:13 PM) :

a truly elegant lady at last, thank you, Sart!
she is so 100% woman in every pic.
only her shoes in the third shot hurt my eyes.

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (6:16 PM) :

She is incredibly! Love her style that looks effortless yet so polished...just gorgeous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:21 PM) :

she is very elegant !! elle est vraiment élégante! j'adore!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:33 PM) :

she looks like a hapsburg princess... gorgeous.
she also has a knack for having the it bag without looking even a trifle like a fashion victim

BSKM

Blogger Terri said ... (6:38 PM) :

Wow, she is just mind-blowingly elegant. I wish I could dress like her when I "grow up", haha.

Blogger fashionfatwa said ... (6:43 PM) :

ooh she had those raspberry Louboutins in grey in one of your Milan photos back in March. She's lovely, Moscow is pretty halal.

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:46 PM) :

Adore her style!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:50 PM) :

wow she has always caught my eye in the pictures you've posted before, but my goodness she has such grace and softness. bottega veneta's clothing was made for this woman!

Blogger Hadley Makes said ... (7:10 PM) :

Those heels make my feet hurt. Still, they are beautiful, as is she. I just love that bag in the last photo, too.

Blogger The Spicers said ... (7:40 PM) :

She has a doll-like quality. And beautiful Bottega accessories.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:52 PM) :

She's beautiful and elegant but also kind of what I'd expected from your Moscow trip. Her beauty and style doesn't take my breath away like the individuality and unexpectedness of the graphic designer and purple and green. I'd never get away with those pants, but those girls look astonishing.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:55 PM) :

Too many to give a detailed write-up on -- but great clothes, great make-up.

Blogger sarahjung said ... (8:12 PM) :

Her eyes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:15 PM) :

OMg she is bautiful!

Blogger LRB said ... (8:31 PM) :

She is fabulous!

Blogger jessicadrhp said ... (8:38 PM) :

Mr Schuman, you have amazing photography skills.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:44 PM) :

People, like Maria Kerner, who put themselves together so beautifully inspire me to make the effort to do the same. Thank you for the daily posts Sartorialist.

Blogger leather girl said ... (8:53 PM) :

If I am not mistaken she is wearing the same dress in photos 3 and 4 which proves that she is clearly a master of packing, layering, and mixing. It is an entirely different look without the vest and belt and the change of shoes. She could probably wear this dress every day for a week, mix up the layers and accessories, and have a completely different outfit while always looking perfectly put together.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:05 PM) :

i want to be her

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:10 PM) :

Hermoso su look! Me encantó! Alguien comenta en español?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:42 PM) :

I love that she dresses so well and manages to stay away from black as her uniform. (or am i just used to nyc?)

My personal favorite is that first photo. I'm the biggest fan of mixing prints and textures and she's absolutely amazing at it.

Blogger Wanderlusting said ... (9:51 PM) :

glad to put a name to her stylish face - always love her photos on here!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:05 PM) :

inspirational

Blogger Montreal Street Views said ... (10:20 PM) :

She is still a young woman, but the eye and manner of older wiser woman with great style.
I love the first picture!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:34 PM) :

I love her use of color. The subtle combinations are very sophisticated. And I love that she doesn't seem to wea much black.

Blogger Laura said ... (10:38 PM) :

I find I am constantly drawn to Maria whenever she appears on the site for her expressive eyes, rapunzelesque hair, and knack for always putting together classic and elegant looks. LOVELY.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:38 PM) :

im in love with her

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:13 PM) :

well, just wow. Perfection. Thanks for such a succinct distillation of style and beauty.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:08 AM) :

uhh how can soemeone be THAT perfect...? ???

Blogger Meg said ... (12:13 AM) :

Wow. She is so incredibly fashionable!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:33 AM) :

love her fashion sense and love that first dress................. lovely girl, I just wish she wouldn't paint her eyebrows so much

Blogger May Kasahara said ... (12:55 AM) :

I loved seeing her on the train during fashion week. Changed into flats - with her red felt louboutin dust bag slung over her shoulder.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:13 AM) :

May I ask what Ms. Kerner's occupation is? I think she is most likely a fashiom editor or a buyer for some glitzy store. Anybody know where she works? Just curious here.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (2:39 AM) :

Who is she??

Blogger Olviya said ... (4:39 AM) :

she looks very good. charming...
i love her mix of biege and wine colors...very strong appearance...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:54 AM) :

She looks so classy, just like her Bottega Venetas. Thumbs up!

Blogger cami falcão said ... (6:37 AM) :

impeccable!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:32 AM) :

Ms Kerner is truly beautiful, in a wonderful individual way. I can imagine her in an c.18th painting, a Henry James novel and your photos make her look utterly modern. Timeless beauty. She had exquisite taste in clothes, she has her own style, she is not a slave to trends. As for the expense - if you've got it and you look like her - flaunt it!

Blogger Dominica said ... (7:32 AM) :

My favourite picture is the second from the top.
The lace of her dress, pashmina shawl and the lila of her coat ....This would be my choice too (when I had a carte blanche budget)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:51 AM) :

She's an accessories buyer. For those who wanted to know if she was in the fashion industry.

Blogger Chi-Chi and the Greek Vintage said ... (7:54 AM) :

Very classy, but I personally love the other girl from Moscow...her style is more unique.

Blogger Amy said ... (8:24 AM) :

She is beautiful!

Blogger ST said ... (9:19 AM) :

this is really one of the best photos you've taken. compare to one of yours from, say, 2006 -- which were well framed but still a bit standard. but this! starting to find your 'voice'. cheers!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:21 AM) :

so classy. so perfect. i love every single outfit. seriously.

Blogger mette said ... (9:37 AM) :

Pictures 1 and 2 are the best. She is so professional and at ease in the photos. It is hard to guess her age,but she must be younger than I think. To cut this short, fine work!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:48 AM) :

The last picture is very beautifully, she looks perfect and I liked the outfit, minus the purse. If it's something I am not found of it's animal inspired clothing. Sometimes its ok but only in small doses. The background on this picture is such a beautiful thing! The first thing I noticed was the sky, and it made me speechless. Then I saw her, then the blurred people in the background. A truly beautiful picture.

Blogger stereo speakers said ... (10:15 AM) :

I absolutely love your pics!

Blogger The Concrete Commentator said ... (10:24 AM) :

Gasp! Are you kidding me with this?! Stunning. This I love.. Everything about it. Not one thing out of place!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:43 AM) :

She looks great and her outfits are amazing but it is also obvious that she is loaded with $. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that, I just like pix of regular people a lot more than pix of socialites (or whoever she is).

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:05 AM) :

It's the 5 YSL bags person. She's back.

Blogger Andy said ... (12:16 PM) :

SO FIERCE!

Blogger Margaret E. Perry said ... (12:27 PM) :

classic but not staid. love her.

Blogger Vanna said ... (12:36 PM) :

Who is she? Every time I see her I think, "What a goddess!"

I also like that we both share a passion for Yves St Laurent handbags.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:42 PM) :

Prada and Lace, my heart aches.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:26 PM) :

I'm so happy for her. BEAUTIFUL We used to sit next to each other during our master in Milano.
Love you Maria

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:54 AM) :

Wonderful, only the shoes in the third picture don't seem to fit. Never a good look.

Blogger Allen - East Hampton said ... (1:33 PM) :

under that periwinkle sweater she has some amazing lace action going on, if i'm seeing correctly.

Blogger Pernilla Algede said ... (2:24 PM) :

Must say - Satorialist - your eye for beauty and style is unbelievable... that´s all! Oh, and, love the dark red/burgundy with powder pink.

Blogger Sarah C said ... (8:45 PM) :

Stunning. Love her shoes and the unexpected details in each picture.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:30 AM) :

Ah, the eggplant stirrup tights lady of NY!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:04 PM) :

It's refreshing to see a woman with some curves among the toothpick-thin fashionista crowd. Pretty and feminine.

Blogger Joy said ... (4:01 PM) :

Love the pics, love the style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:11 AM) :

Her eyes are so beautiful...are special..really big but very beautiful

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:33 AM) :

I love her look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:18 PM) :

new rich..

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:22 PM) :

She is gorgeous, could be the sister of Whitney Port on The Hills, which is a good thing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:15 PM) :

Though Im a man, she inspires me to keep a classic look no mather your age. Her choose of colours and pieces are perfect. Beige and grey etc. also inspires me.
Bottega Veneta is my fav. brand and she uses BV's look to create her own style.

D.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:00 PM) :

boderline (rich) white trash. sorry! shes got good legs though, but the hair is awful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:49 PM) :

OMGGG she looks so much like ivanka trump!
especially in the photo with the red shoes and leopard bag.

Blogger Ladyee Boutique said ... (8:57 PM) :

WOW! Gorgeous photos, so so stylish. I love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:29 PM) :

breaks my heart...

Blogger ylebedeva said ... (5:21 PM) :

I think her style is so prim but laid-back. she looks so wonderful and interesting in every outfit. I like how there are light colors dominant in her wardrobe.
personal opinion- she weighs over Mira's looks!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:19 AM) :

I love the 1st picture, with the asymetric dress. I dont knw if anyone has noticed, but my eye starts at the detail on her shoulder, goes to her hair, down her arm then to her bag. It may be a coincedance, but out of all the pictures in your book, this is my favourite!
