Interesting. Definitely not your average kind of guy or pretty face.

the trousers, the tattoos, the shirt... own own charm
i really like it

Blogger The Concrete Commentator said ... (9:15 AM) :

I like his tats! The vintage shirt fits him nicely. This reminds me of my childhood. Use to wear these shirts as a kid, and loved them!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:18 AM) :

Excellent reetro '70s mash-up. Very trangressive and witty. I am not sure about the bage, though, it is a bit inconsistent in its contemporaneity. Great attiude.

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (9:26 AM) :

I love it, even though it has certain elements that would point in the other direction: purposeless safety pins, old-school polyester, and sans belt. I think what works is that the fit is good, and there is an overall cleanliness to the look based on a lack of accessories. I would remove the canvas bag, an outfit like this would go best with something dark, preferably leather or even vinyl. Jorge from W Palm Beach

To me this photograph shows there is a difference between having a look and having style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:52 AM) :

my god, this guy is HOT!
How can i date him?

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:57 AM) :

This outfit could've gone all wrong. But the perfect fitting of the outfit just makes it right. The shirt with the nicely rolled arms together with the suitpants to take the edge of the street look and contrast the tatoos.

Blogger Dominica said ... (10:09 AM) :

Adore the graphic print ... and the combination with the trousers....suits him perfectly !
He makes me think a bit of the late Heath Ledger ...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:13 AM) :

that shirt is pure tonic!! where can i buy a shirt like that?! I would probably have seen it in the shops and walked right past it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:15 AM) :

Ugh, why bother?

Blogger TEXTSTYLES said ... (10:55 AM) :

i need his shirt
and the trousers

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:59 AM) :

this is the kid of boy i would date: sexy and punk rock. the details (the pins, the upside down watch, the way the pants fit him and his tattoos poke out from his sleeves, the beautiful color scheme) let you know he pays attention, but the unusual choices are still strikingly "anti-fashion." You know he wouldn't need an hour to get ready to go out, and he'd still look great.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:00 AM) :

What are those spots on his trousers?
I'm okay with the pins. It's not for the boardroom, but it's fine for the Lower East Side.
An inexpensive alternative to jewelry.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:20 AM) :

Looks much better than the yellow cardigan!

Blogger LYNN and HORST said ... (11:22 AM) :

uhh uhh ahhh ahh sexy eyes
i wanna take you to paradise

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:52 AM) :

Very Johnny Depp... circa The Viper Room.

Blogger GJMR said ... (11:52 AM) :

This is a repost, no? I remember commenting on how he rolled his sleeves several weeks ago.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:24 PM) :

It's a few years too soon for a revival of Tyler Durden chic, but let's give him the benefit of the doubt because he looks too young to have rocked it the first time around. The trousers fit reasonably well, which is almost unheard of on these pin-thin hipster boys, but what are they splattered with?

Blogger MARIA H said ... (12:24 PM) :

sexy guy, but I would change some habits of his to make him a hotcake!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:36 PM) :

That's what i call : Romantic chic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:37 PM) :

i'm strangely COMPELLED by this pic (the enlarged version is especially perfect!)... lovelovelove the shirt's pattern, which combined with the neat trousers, cool watch and tattoos makes his look completely flawless in a rough-scottish-lad-kind-of-way :D i guess i'm a bit head over heels now... :P
(i follow the blog regularly but this is the 1st pic that has inspired me to say sth...so thanks Sart!)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:02 PM) :

I think the trousers and the tattoos mach nicely but I'm rather skeptical to the shirt. I like the idea of having the safety pins on the shirt because it matches his face and hair, and gives him a kinda rock star look. The white bag softens the rock star look and makes it extra special.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:09 PM) :

Usually I'm not a hater, but there's something to be said for good grooming. Vintage, punk chic, scruffy... blah blah blah. But that's no excuse for looking like you woke up from a stupor.

Blogger Indira said ... (1:16 PM) :

This is a classic example of the game "Hipster or Homeless".

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:12 PM) :

wow.. something about this which i can't put my finger on. really different to anything i normally see here!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:46 PM) :

I like this guy's style, but those polyester shirts are so uncomfortable, they don't breathe and they stick to you when you sweat!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:47 PM) :

I have to agree with Anonymous 1:09PM.

If you're going to be so deliberate in choosing what to wear and how to wear it, I think you should take a shower and wear clean clothes to pull it off. Otherwise it's kind of like an F-U to the rest of us.

Blogger Miguel said ... (2:57 PM) :

I really like that shirt and pants. The tatto looks curious but I like it. A different but nice style.

Blogger Matthew Spade said ... (3:13 PM) :

he has great style, i want to meet him.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:39 PM) :

an actress look.
very strong.
SEE

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:13 PM) :

woow what a nice guy

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:42 PM) :

This guy is a STORY. The eyes, the shirt, the pins, the water on his pants. Anyone notice the scarring on his forearms?

Blogger leather girl said ... (8:44 PM) :

Although I think he is capable of doing it, I just can't help but wonder if this young man pinned those on himself or if he bought the shirt that way. It shows how such a small conventional item such as a safety pin can make a very strong statement when placed out of it's usual functional context. Agree that the fit is great, slim and long.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:14 PM) :

i like this.
it could have come off as very cheap and tacky, but instead there's an intrigue to the scruffy retro-ness of it all.

now, if only he was carrying a better bag...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:49 AM) :

The safety pins used as accessories look like a tribute to Vivienne Westwood. At least I do it in that sense when I put on one, just a very small one though.
Other than that, that look is totally a no-no for me.

Blogger greyrabbitblog said ... (6:47 AM) :

'I have the occasional run-in with an anti-Hey-That's-My-Biker'
i'm seeing troy from reality bites reincarnated -i like this guys look alot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:06 AM) :

Awwww I am a sucker for men in ponytail (that's what I think he has)...but not the hrad rock/death metal kinda way, but the grunge/indie kinda way. Seems he pulled it off nicely!

Blogger Mira Vales said ... (3:05 PM) :

like his style - there's a bit of Heath Ledger going on. The bag and silk shirt might look too feminine on some but they look just right on him;

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:19 PM) :

Sart, your photos never cease to make me smile.

Blogger Holly Brindley said ... (12:33 AM) :

i like his bag and safety pins. i'm usually not a fan of the messy hair thing, but this is acceptable. i want to see him smile..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:45 AM) :

he is cute, I like him ; )

Blogger Charlene said ... (12:31 AM) :

this is genius. this guy is totally in his element. i would kill to see someone like that on the streets, any day. and his tattoo managed to elevate his appeal to a whole new level. i m positively in lurvve..
