ok sart, can you just stay in rio forever. the people are beautiful, the shots are awesome. nothing more to say.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:44 PM) :

wow.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:23 PM) :

If that button pops (and I believe it will, any time now...), it's going to take somebody's eye out! The backdrop is fabulous but I think she looks stiff and awkward, as opposed to every other Rio shot we've seen. So far they all seem so liquid and flowing they could practically drip off the page! It's good though I supposed, since now I actually believe that they actually may be human and not otherworldly.

Blogger maggie_hogan said ... (10:27 PM) :

she's awesome

but hey sart? as a girl with short legs and a long torso, can you start showing more "real" people pulling off great styles that work for more bodies? because i mean... yeaa.. of course this girl looks great.. but how can anyone be inspired by that who isn't a brasilian model!?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:27 PM) :

gorgeous

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:28 PM) :

I'm telling you - go to Latvia!

L.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:32 PM) :

GREAT shot, but I'm not diggin' the digs. Just TOO MUCH sex, nothing subtle. Great shoes, though. wish she had a simple tank on top instead.

Blogger J. said ... (10:35 PM) :

This is a beautiful photograph, however, I admit that I do hate what she is wearing. Both her shoes and her clothing are very tacky.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:36 PM) :

every man's dream!

Blogger Cammila said ... (10:53 PM) :

It's a lovely, simple ensemble. But it's also not hard to look striking astride a picturesque, epic stone wall!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:53 PM) :

gorgeous photo. is she a model? maybe an amateur, if she is. she is holding her hands like she just got her nails done?

Blogger Wanderlusting said ... (11:23 PM) :

Amazing shot - loving the sky and the sandals. So clean and casual but moving at the same time! Rio looks wonderful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:25 PM) :

belle belle belle femme

xx

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:53 PM) :

Wow, is she a dream?
Exquisite, lovely, sensual, simple, striking...
Fantastic photograph, sir!
:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:01 AM) :

I want her shoes. And I love her effortless make-up/hair.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:41 AM) :

Honestly, I'm not crazy about the clothes. But, the bodies really make me all hopped up to start my workout regimen again next week!

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:58 AM) :

like uri said, belle!
beautiful outfit and picture! xo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:13 AM) :

Nice legs, stiff posture though...nikkijoon was right..seems as if she just got a manicure.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:51 AM) :

Yeah...not really a fan of the outfit or the shoes..

..the only thing I like is the cut of the shorts...reminiscent of an early 20th century bathing suit..but I can't even tell if that's how the short is made from this angle..

Blogger Allie said ... (2:59 AM) :

Yes, I'm enjoying these pics from Rio so much. These people are insanely beautiful and I dig everything as usual!

Blogger Denesteak said ... (3:11 AM) :

Oh my god.

Blogger Dominica said ... (3:24 AM) :

Wow ! So much *drama* in this image, I love the way her hair is waving...and for the girl and her ensemble : less is more !!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:26 AM) :

Her hands look scary with that nail polish colour.

Blogger [chocoley] said ... (3:37 AM) :

Whew, first time here and I think this blog is really really interesting :)

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:45 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:25 AM) :

What an incredible transformation...

Blogger Daughter said ... (4:32 AM) :

I need to move somewhere hot so that I don't feel like Han Solo in my giant winter coat while I read this and look at tan Brazilians. Grrr...

Blogger Sasha said ... (4:43 AM) :

what a magical background.

what a magical woman.

quelle belle image!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:52 AM) :

seeing the last few photos i have to say that your photographs are now more constantly on a high artistic level.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:32 AM) :

Nothing special about the clothes - but it's a really great picture. Glad you shared it.

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:31 AM) :

beautiful photo! the sea and the sky...perfect!

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (6:39 AM) :

Gorgeous photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:04 AM) :

wow

beautiful

is it me or does she have a "Varga Girl" look to her?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:12 AM) :

I live in rio and yes, she is gorgeous, but she is a model in a fashion event in Rio this weekend, she isn't a "normal" people.....but, I have to say that if you see the people in the streets or beaches in the city, you could see beautiful images too.....

Blogger The Sartorialist said ... (8:14 AM) :

she was not a model - just beautiful

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (8:30 AM) :

Amazing photo!
Wow!

Blogger Dan in Richmond said ... (8:40 AM) :

This looks like one of those elaborately staged ad photos from the 1940's or 50's- painted backdrop, papier-mache wall, fan blowing, etc.-amazing! She fits right in with the look, too.

Blogger mette said ... (8:59 AM) :

A nice looking woman in very nice clothes. I like that her hair color, the belt and shoes all match. Maybe the expression on her face could be happier.

such a beautiful shot
you can feel the charge in the air

bravo

Blogger Sukesh Kumar said ... (11:07 AM) :

Perfect photograph!!

Blogger Cecily Grace said ... (11:09 AM) :

There is something about her hair and face that I do not like, but what really takes everything is that scene. Her outfit is pretty cool too. Cultural and society influenced style, its admirable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:22 AM) :

wow
could be one of your best shoots ever.

Blogger porter hovey said ... (11:29 AM) :

fabulous!! as always!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:33 AM) :

She doesn't look bothered about the storm approaching. Rio is a place I am looking forward to seeing next year.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:42 AM) :

maybe this style is not the best, but as brazilian i hace to say also is not also about sex. Rio is a city with sea, something like LA...People here have a more relaxed style comparing with SP. Here they are more healthy, worried with body, shorter clothes and sometimes less worried with fashion. (this is a old discussion rio x sao paulo).
But is very normal somebody in Rio walk like this girl or with havaianas or t-shirt and bermudas to man...is just a information..
and sartorialist...we still waiting more pics...

Blogger Hadley Makes said ... (11:50 AM) :

How warm it must be there! I often wonder what you do about winter pictures. Coats make fashion a wee bit more challenging. I see a method now: go to a warmer clime!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:53 AM) :

She looks like a goddess, as if SHE has summoned the storm...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:13 PM) :

Bonjour,

Mais Oui, more art from our creative and talented photographer. Just beautiful.

Merci, Zoé

Blogger Bedlam said ... (12:40 PM) :

lovely photo, is it just me or is that gozilla in the background?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:44 PM) :

i dont thikn she is too modelish, sexy or tacky at all. Rio is a hot place, so shorts and sleeveless is understandable. the fact that she has feminine body parts? that's not her fault! she is buttoned up quite well. the belt and shoes are necessary and easy accessories to spice up teh jump suit.

she is the storm.

Blogger Mira Vales said ... (12:58 PM) :

Love this not messing around with colours on the last two pictures - black, white, natural and effortless. The shot is a bit of a drama, don't you think?:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:05 PM) :

Wow, it looks amazing! It's really calm before the storm! incredible!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:15 PM) :

OMG!

If Brazil women are like that, I am going NOW.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:15 PM) :

ooo the heaven looks really cool! I'm getting scared of it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:18 PM) :

Why don't women dress like this in Providence?

Blogger B. FLY AND THE CITY said ... (1:32 PM) :

AMAZING. ASIDE FROM THE SUBJECT, SCOTT YOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC SKILLS ARE REALLY GROWING! EVERY ONE IS TRYING TO TEAR THIS PHOTO APART, SO WHAT HER HANDS AREN'T PERFECTLY POSITIONED, THIS PHOTO ISN'T GOING TO APPEAR ON THE PAGES OF VOGUE FOR A FASHION SPREAD. IT'S REALLY A CANDID PICTURE. IT WOULD LOOK UN NATURAL IF SHE WAS TRYING TO LOOK TOO PERFECT. HOW CALM WOULD YOU BE BEFORE A STORM, SHE'S PROBABLY TRYING TO GET THE PIC OVER WITH SO SHE WONT GET WET OR STEADYING HERSELF B/C THE WIND IS BLOWING, AS YOU CAN TELL BY THE FLOW OF HER HAIR.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:56 PM) :

The outfit is cute, I love the shoes, and she is certainly beautiful - but I must admit there is something about the way she's holding her head that does not seem natural to me. Then again, there's nothing natural about a man approaching you and asking to take your picture - she was probably just a little unsure of what to do. But the background is just so gorgeous. The color composition of this photo is stunning, with all the white contrasting against her skin. It seems like she anchors the sky to the ground.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:54 PM) :

I love the in your face sexuality of Brasilian fashion. it makes Italy look tame by comparison.

That stated, I am not sure I could survive there. It's sensory overload even for this Italian resident who is used to strong expressions of beauty day to day.

Blogger Marquis de Lannes said ... (3:26 PM) :

Sublime la foto! el paisaje y la chica pin up!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:52 PM) :

What a beaty. Still waiting for the classic half dark rio girl in half long colourfull dress. Common' Sar. You've to find them. No women more beautifull and stylish than them. Walk around on Ipanema boulevard or Lapa. Sorry, it's your work. Just do your thing.

Blogger CULTURE CREATORS said ... (7:12 PM) :

Nice shot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:22 PM) :

Ruffly belt + ruffly bodice = too much ruffle. I think it's entirely tacky, also given the dark gold jewelry, too small blouse, & forced pose. The spiky sandals are also too much in my opinion, but Rio style is commonly tight shorts + high heels.

Blogger tal said ... (8:56 PM) :

I love the white with the dark accents against her skin. Everything looks so clean - and that nail polish is beautiful too. :-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:13 PM) :

Her legs!

Blogger Miguel said ... (12:12 AM) :

Which is prettier? the girl?, the stones? or the sky??? I'ld go for the girl............. Ten times.

Blogger cami falcão said ... (6:59 AM) :

lots of Brazilians think this is sexy, so unfortunately we see a lot of this kind of outfit here, not for me at all.
but....it's a nice portrait, the wind and the sky are fab!

Blogger Melina Cymlich said ... (7:01 AM) :

Excelente paleta de colores!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:19 AM) :

her cloth looks very tacky..

nice legs though, she could be the dark angel before the storm

Blogger Gia said ... (1:54 PM) :

such a great photo:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:42 AM) :

i love how her hair is blowing back in the wind and her hand placement...
this is a great photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:04 PM) :

Love the outfit, it's very simple yet sexy, and looks great on her.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:22 AM) :

Please, come to São Paulo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:11 AM) :

Me likey.

Very sexy in a simple, understated way.
