Love their use of colour, it's nice to see that they're having fun with their clothing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:27 AM) :

WOW. These guys are cool.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:31 AM) :

Oh my, oh my!! I LOVE THOSE HEARTS!! are they self made? is it lego? It's such an original and beautiful idea I think I'm going to try it myself. I can see also te belt is made out of lego

Those kids are stylish. They remind me of Andrée from Outkast

Blogger TMFA said ... (8:38 AM) :

Whaaah!! The Super Mario Bros 3 t-shirt is awesome! Fantastic combinations, although I still see the last reflexes of the new rave hype.

Blogger Petulia said ... (8:38 AM) :

I like the heart shaped pin. Any particular meaning to it?

Blogger Lipe Mar said ... (8:43 AM) :

Perfect looks! (Visual perfeito)
I looove the mix of color!

Kiss from Brazil

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:47 AM) :

Hey! look it's Ricky and Dee, their cool people btw.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:49 AM) :

Love, Love, Love it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:53 AM) :

Amazing playfullness and creativity to both of them. Handsome young men, too!

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:54 AM) :

awww, it's so nice to see these guys again. they're so cute! i really like the purple high tops; and the looks in the first photo (makes me think of a music video on early mtv) - talk about 80s nostalgia.

Blogger stereo speakers said ... (9:00 AM) :

oh my god, how cute are they! :))

Blogger Carolyn said ... (9:03 AM) :

I love their Lego accessories!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:10 AM) :

Gorgeous. And fun...I'm in love

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:11 AM) :

Some people can just pull it off... and boy, they can. I love the playfullness in their look, almost borderline silly-ness... Some designers put so much thought into achieving that look. It probably only took them 10 minutes to bring them all together.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:15 AM) :

As a New Yorker living (temporarily) away from New York, it's photos like this that make me visit your site first thing every morning at work. I can hear and smell the city just looking at the pictures-- these two are so distinctly New York. It's nice to see some hype looks on here. Gotta love the expressions in the first picture...and those killer purple kicks.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:16 AM) :

I know I'm supposed to be focusing on their clothing, but the first thing I thought was how nice their skin is, and how nice it would be to touch their nice cheeks! Terrible, no?

The second thing I noticed was their attitude. The clothing seems even less cool and playful/whimsical than they themselves are.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:28 AM) :

I guess I'm the only one that finds this atrocious.

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:29 AM) :

I like these guys. Three photos of them on different days, all three they are dressed with purpose. That means they always try, and I appreciate that. The third image is reminiscent -- Legos and Mario. My favorite, though, is the shirt that the brother on the left, in the first image, is wearing. Plaid shirt, white collar -- so good.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:33 AM) :

wow. this is one of the best examples of style ever on the sartorialist.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:33 AM) :

The colors and the cute look on their faces just make me wanna smile!! I love these picks!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:40 AM) :

Love their style! They are super cool!

Blogger PropperGanda said ... (9:47 AM) :

Really well colored, very fun, I think the heart maybe insipred by KanYe West when he performed at the VMAs, with the heard shaped light thingy. Youtube it.

The guys are too kool for skool!

Blogger Macky The Cat said ... (9:52 AM) :

Hot :) love their style!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:01 AM) :

Now that's a family I'd like to marry into.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:06 AM) :

they are adorable.

Blogger The Concrete Commentator said ... (10:09 AM) :

so nice! I love the shot on the top with both of them.. this is charming. Facial expressions and the style are superb.

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:15 AM) :

i've never seen anybody pull off those purple shoes as well as he has!

as always, the right attitude completely makes the outfit.

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:18 AM) :

I Love Dee and Ricky...They are very creative and innovative young men. They have a website and their lego accessories were featured in Marc Jacobs Spring 08 Fashion Show!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:27 AM) :

They are the accessories designers for Marc Jacobs, if I'm not mistaken.

Blogger Caroline Wolf said ... (10:33 AM) :

so obsessed. so new york. fantastic attitudes that project "cool."

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:36 AM) :

Playful, yet polished. Handsome, but not taking themselves too seriously. A very nice mix!

I'm sure these two spread immense good cheer just by walking around!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:56 AM) :

They're so cute, love the lego accessories and matching name rings!

Blogger mimoleskineyyo said ... (11:14 AM) :

The hearts are cool

Blogger Wilhelm Carñes said ... (11:15 AM) :

Am I the only one annoyed with the popularity of those Marc Jacobs' hearts and belts? They're a bit too trendy for my tastes.

The purple sneakers in the second photo make his feet look like jelly beans.

And the jorts? Cathy Horyn can wear them and be ironic; when normal people wear them, it's just trashy.

Blogger May Kasahara said ... (11:16 AM) :

omg raccoon super leaf mario.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:21 AM) :

These are the kids responsible for the lego accessories Marc Jacob used on the runway for his Fall 2008 collection.Young and Brilliant!

Blogger sue said ... (11:45 AM) :

Cuties!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:04 PM) :

I see remnants of the beat boy era...

Blogger Sir Bentonius said ... (12:08 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:21 PM) :

Blogger Allen - East Hampton said ... (12:23 PM) :

i like "super mario" best; the lego pieces are a nice, witty touch.

Blogger starbahks said ... (12:29 PM) :

Photos like this remind me why I love New York.

Blogger Nick Bograd said ... (12:37 PM) :

Some great color usage great job with some funky colors.

Blogger green lantern said ... (12:37 PM) :

Youth, virility, color, awash in carefree expressionism and the essence of which is captured as only you can …Bravo!

Blogger Elvire said ... (12:52 PM) :

Blogger Dominica said ... (12:59 PM) :

I do have to go to NY someday...as soon as hubby is going for work, I'll be on that plain...want to see this all by myself !! Love the hearts and the red ray-ban...I've bought a turkish blue one myself after seeing Sienna Miller with one in a picture !!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:02 PM) :

What fun! Nice to see these guys not taking themselves too seriously.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:03 PM) :

Haha, the last one. With the KRINK marker in his pocket.

GREAT!

Blogger youveneverheardofus said ... (1:04 PM) :

man super mario bros 3 was such a good video game.

meh on the clothes tho. these kids aint got nothing on the hyphy style in the Bay. i saw more style today on a rainy day at my oakland bus stop.

Blogger The Boot said ... (1:19 PM) :

the Fresh Twins!
The heart is their label-moniker-to-be, methinks.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:22 PM) :

Oh, Will, lighten up! These guys are just cool. And so cute!

Maybe it's cuz I live in a fashion wasteland, but I like everything about these three shots.

Blogger marie said ... (1:23 PM) :

hey! pixel-heart-pins from dee and ricky. marc jacobs used them for his fashion show (the belt too)... they are just sooo cute!

Blogger Yvonne Rachelle said ... (1:40 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:40 PM) :

Woow These boys areee so stylish
they must be models !

Loves it :*

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:00 PM) :

These are so wonderful, colorful and playful. I adore the eye catching purple shoes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:00 PM) :

It's refreshing to see tasteful men in American Urban clothes. A lot of these clothes are cheesy, baggy, and just plain ugly. These brothers know how to use color very well, and the fit of their clothes is great. More young men in the States that are into hip/hop/urban clothes should take something from them, and make it their own.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:01 PM) :

Krink boy ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:05 PM) :

always like to see these guys on here! love it. . .

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:09 PM) :

the hearts are like kanye west's new look.
and the legos- marc jacobs had a collection of lego accesories a few years back
great looks,

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:14 PM) :

these guys are awesome, I love their style and attitude...

Blogger CyborgCoquette said ... (4:29 PM) :

Geek love! That makes me so happy. :) I'm so jealous of African American skin; colors look so beautiful and vibrant on them!! I wish I was in NYC just so I could high five these guys.

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:33 PM) :

I am so intrigued with how 80s/Nintendo/rock-pop is all the rage with the youngsters. It's so refreshing to see. The legos are almost pixilated...very graphic! It's almost as if the 80s got refreshed by being digitized.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:54 PM) :

I do like their Lego stuff, but this look has been going on for ages in London, and it's not such a big deal that soon they will start selling Lego hearts because a shop in Soho (London) called Year Zero London has been selling much more interesting Lego jewellery (Super Mario, Pacman, Spongebob, Chanel logo..) for quite a while now..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:05 PM) :

Love all of these photos, the hearts and the mario t shirt are brill!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:35 PM) :

So beautiful!
The clothes and the boys in them

Blogger yankeegrl506 said ... (7:41 PM) :

This is EXACTLY what I love about New York--the individuality, the personalities, the diversity...

Everything about these three photos is perfect. I think they exemplify urban style.

Blogger e l l e said ... (7:57 PM) :

Gosh... incredibly stylish AND incredibly attractive? I'm a little hot under the collar...

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:31 PM) :

I love these photos! Especially the first one- looks like a still from a Spike Lee Joint... Chronically original fashion, definitely a NY thing!

Blogger Rich said ... (10:38 PM) :

fresh clean and fun.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:34 PM) :

Alright, so I'm biased but I "heart" the Twins (pun intended.) They're featured in Kehinde Whiley's current exhibition at Deitch on Wooster. Dope stuff...

Blogger SAREF said ... (11:56 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:49 AM) :

Blogger John Danner said ... (8:32 PM) :

I usually hate the whole crazy candy colors everywhere and retro high-top etc, but the dude in the purple sneaks and red rays pulls it off with fly(ing) colors.

Blogger jessicadrhp said ... (8:33 PM) :

Blogger That Girl Ang said ... (3:32 PM) :

LOVE the heart & belts! WOW - I can make those.. LOL

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:53 AM) :

These guys are possibly the epitome of what i find HOT DAMN! attractive - obviously helped by their homemade belts and heart pins which I am DIGGING.
But also, it doesnt help that they are incredibly hot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:51 AM) :

Omg, they're so cuuute!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:56 AM) :

clearly the impact of kanye west and his style. even though he has the prep thing going, simply putting a heart on his lapel while performing brought out these fantastically dressed young new yorkers.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:20 PM) :

very impressed by the style.. interesting,.. i believe they design those accessories i've read about these two some where before..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:36 PM) :

first of all, ms. von strufen allow me to clear some things up because you seem to have been mislead by the media.. dee & rick GAVE kanye west a lego heart because they knew he'd appreciate the concept & actually wear it on tv, which turned out to be a clever marketing scheme, btw (way to go, dee).. so don't be so fast to pass off credit where it isn't due! understand that dee & ricky are TRENDSETTERS.. clearly, kanye gets his inspiration from US! if anyone thinks otherwise tell them mr. mikey says so!

Blogger Obsolete Antics said ... (11:43 PM) :
