Breathtaking.

What a great neckline. The cut and the way she wears the dress prevent it from being too prissy...which light-colored lace so frequently is. Love the shoes, too, and her natural-looking hair. Stephanie

Blogger norawoah said ... (10:17 AM) :

She is a vision.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:21 AM) :

The lace of the dress is amazing! Could also work as a just-a-little-bit-romantic wedding dress in a civil marriage with only a few best friends around :-)

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:34 AM) :

isn't she a model too? She looks lovely with the dress and the shoes are beautiful too...maybe too bride-white for mee..

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (10:38 AM) :

Her dress is gorgeous!
Beautiful photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:42 AM) :

She is not brazillian.
NYC socialite

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:43 AM) :

Absolutely stunning! So simple yet so perfect.... I am at lost for words.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:51 AM) :

the neckline of this dress is absolutely perfect, and so is she. the dress makes her look so innocent. the only thing i don't really like is the bag she has under her arm, but the rest of her look is so perfect that i could ignore it. beautiful!

Blogger tal said ... (11:03 AM) :

Love love love LOVE this dress!

She could not be lovelier!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:08 AM) :

She is NOT NYC socialite.

That is Astrid Munoz...a gorgeous model.

How can she be so...extremely elegant!!

Blogger Linda said ... (12:02 PM) :

Lovely and elegant but a bit out of season. More spring like

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:03 PM) :

thanks to share the rio photos
is amazing !!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:33 PM) :

are there no ugly women in Rio?
you find all the stunners :)

Blogger VanessasRunway said ... (12:36 PM) :

I am madly in love with this dress!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:39 PM) :

Oh wow, this is just beautiful.
Bravo! Great shot.

Blogger Chloe's Chic Conception said ... (12:50 PM) :

OMG love it!! I want that dress it's so feminine and romantic :)

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:02 PM) :

Very elegant! The only thing I'd change is for the loops holding the sash to be more delicate. But gorgeous, all the same.

Blogger Kate said ... (1:04 PM) :

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I'm usually not a fan of lace, but what a way to work it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:46 PM) :

The most beautiful wedding dress I have ever seen. Perfect.

"Lovely and elegant but a bit out of season. More spring like" But isn't it spring down in the hemisphere?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:40 PM) :

Yes.... before another "she is not a real person..." Astrid (a former full time model, now a photographer -like our dear sart) was in Rio working as a Vogue´s (style.com) blogger.

Not a brazilian, but a Puerto Rican (with a more glamorous job than yours.. but a working girl anyway)

PD/ask Scott how easy is to "work abroad, and look good..."

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:58 PM) :

Who designed the dress? Does anyone have a link? It's gorgeous! Ce magnifique!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:06 PM) :

Sart, will you please tell people that you don't necessarily post images that are from RIGHT NOW - I'm so sick of hearing people try to call you out on "This is more spring than fall", or saying, "God, she must be FREEZING, it's cold in ny right now" Just simply put a small note with the date it was taken...that would solve the problem.

Blogger Dominica said ... (3:16 PM) :

Mrs McDreamy ...............

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:18 PM) :

I too love this dress and agree that she is beautiful
BUT
i dont think she adds anything to this dress, style wise... its just a lovely piece that even someone lacking any style at all could pick out and put on and look absolutely ravishing in
i prefer seeing unique, cleverly styled outfits on the sartorialist

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:02 PM) :

What a beautiful dress! Those shoes really got my attention too!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:11 PM) :

wow, the lace on this dress is wonderful and I love the double wrap of the tie.

Blogger Ryan E. Plett said ... (4:15 PM) :

anybody else see the Office? Astrid!

Blogger starbahks said ... (4:31 PM) :

i LOVE the shoes as well!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:33 PM) :

That dress would make a beautiful warm-weather wedding dress...beautiful shot with the greenery of the tree in the background...

Blogger Hello, It's Louise. said ... (4:38 PM) :

This lady is GORGEOUS and that dress is officially COVETED. Sooo pretty!

Blogger John-Bryan Hopkins said ... (4:53 PM) :

More perfection!

I am off to Rio.

the fabric and the dress are wonderful and such a pretty color on her

The shoes are to die for

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:40 PM) :

What a fabulous face...........The dress is beautiful, but her face takes the spotlight!!!!

She has the face of an angel!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:54 PM) :

She's really beautiful and all, but if she isn't the bride I'm not into this. The shoes are so predictable and I don't go for the purse with the dress. There is nothing wonderfully unexpected here and that makes it disappointing to me. To be memorable, there needs to be something a little "off". And speaking for myself, I don't care who she is.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:09 PM) :

My favorite in a long time -- beautiful photo. Thank you!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:33 PM) :

I love Astrid Munoz, and this photo is a vision. But the [only, or] best photos of Rio style are of models currently in Rio for the recent fashion shows. I guess there are only so many non-thonged girls to photograph.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:51 PM) :

More please.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:48 PM) :

gorgeous! the whole look is so well put together!

Blogger Eyeliah said ... (8:44 PM) :

Gorgeous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:52 PM) :

Pretty, but there is something about lace which always strikes me as a bit precious. Not sure what exactly, but this is a good example of it. Perhaps it's the expensive-doll effect?

Blogger ggshoe said ... (9:11 PM) :

Another Puerto Rican Beauty!

Blogger kiwibella said ... (10:58 PM) :

It is indeed springtime south of the equator. Hooray for lovely colours and delicate fabrics again!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:28 PM) :

Beautiful Puerto Rican Princess!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:34 AM) :

I'm getting married in late April and would LOVE this dress. Any leads yet on where to seek it out?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:52 PM) :

We all want more Rio pictures, please!!! We need it, long it!

Please post some more!

Tks,

Ella_eh_Kriok

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:38 PM) :

Am I the only one that finds this look tacky? From the dress, to the shoes and bag. The look is saccharine and uninspired.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:54 PM) :

THERE'S NO UGLY WOMEN IN RIO AT ALL!!! everyone is stunning!!!!!!!

Blogger Bruna Costa said ... (2:26 PM) :

AMAAAZING !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:27 PM) :

the delicacy of the dress stands comfortably, though oddly, against her rich hot-blooded beauty. I would've thought something more bold, vibrant, loose-fitting, but yet the choice says a lot about her doesn't it?

she looks like a story that is meant to be told.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:23 PM) :

This dress is just perfect. And, for the ones who have doubts about it - yes, everyone is beautiful in Brazil. We are lovely, sorry to sound smug, but we can´t help it! :)'

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:09 AM) :

Dear sart, it's not fashion magazine that sells me fashion and make me broke, it's you! I can't live a day without your blog and i am always inspired.
Thank you for bringing joy and thrill of fashion.
P.S: I just recently purchased a lace dress. I don't know if this picture was effective.
But i know, for the leather jacket, you are the one to blame. :)

Blogger Cristina said ... (12:09 AM) :

I very much love the shoes. Pink Satin, remind me so much of a pair of my great-grandmothers. All the women of my family wear the same size shoe, so I would put them on as a teenage girl and dream of when I could actually such a beautiful shoe in real life. Maybe when I get married!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:56 AM) :

Love her dress and her style...so romantic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:26 AM) :

Gorgeous! I love her dress and her shoes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:27 PM) :

This picture compelled me to make my first ever comment on this wonderful blog.

This woman is absolutely devastating.

Blogger Chung Nguyen said ... (5:12 AM) :

That is a gorgeous dress on a stunning woman. Great capture!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:28 PM) :

Love the shoes and camera, not sure about the rest.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:30 PM) :

The dress is from Argentina based designer Carla Ricciardi

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:55 PM) :

The dress is from Argentina but the designer was born in Paraguay, isn´t she?
