Comments on "On the Street.... Greyt, Milan"
Honestly, I LOVE Giovanna!
So mixing silver and gold jewelry is not a problem? Or it only works on the perfect Giovanna?
To wake up every morning and be this tall, this glam and this skinny must be a wonderful feeling.
gosh, I love the shoes... and the way the outfit makes her look so slim...Im too chicken to carry off slim high waisted pants...!!!
Feeling strongly for grey,so naturally both women are to my liking!
i like the first outfit, it's gorgeous
must be skinny to carry such a coat though
btw, she looks pretty
aww what a lovely smile she has! <3
shades of plain grey can be so beautiful!
wonderfull jersey!
Sart,
Can you please post a picture of this woman where she looks bad? It's simply unfair that she never seems to have a bad fashion day!
LOL!
Lovely- gray is the perfect color to use as a base. You accessorize it and make it look different every time.
Fan of Giovana's Style!!
bella!
The second pic: An Italien Audrey Hepburn :-)
Grey is elegant. The second image is perfect. Simple with fabulous accessories. She looks fantastic as always.
What a great jumper-cardigan ! This is the one we girls are looking for so long...actually, it looks so comfy you'd wanna live in it !!!
The woman in the second photo looked "geyt" in grey the last time, in her D&G dress, I believe. She looks great again here. My only hesitation is that I don't see the brown snakeskin in the shoes relating directly to anything else, but they do provide a contrast to the simplicity of the other individual pieces. The little bag is perfect, the pants are beautiful and I like the man's watch.
2nd photo, nice style. interesting trousers. What is that necklace sign, tho?
Giovanna looks stunning as always. The smile in the first picture makes the outfit even more fashionable.
Thank you Sart...for photographing the beautiful ladies and the handsome Italian boys
see people, cropped pants look so much better on women then men!
perfect giovanna!
(also the other 2, but specially her). she's just so elegant.
Big Thick sweaters are the best!
Both beautiful. The first sweater has a Poiret feel to it. Love the trousers and monochrome look in the second. Grey with gold (I think her pendant is gold?) is a nice, less-expected choice.
The first jacket is a little bit big for my taste.
Giovanna is a real style icon. a great inspiration.
I think she was born with style. She is always up to the latest fashion, but always very simple and natural and elegant. For me, this is what fashion is all about.
Those pants are sublime... but it's Giovanna, i don't think they could look as good on anyone else. So glad you captured them on film.
Wow. That big knit coat is fantastic. She looks so chic in it, but i fear I would merely appear frumpy :-(
Giovanna can do no wrong!
And I love the chunky oversized cardigan on the top woman. Grey is so beautiful!
Love both looks in both photos. The sweater and the expression on the girl complement one another beautifully!
Giovanna cannot, cannot look bad in anything, it's rediculous. She just makes it look so easy and effortless. That is true style.

My God, that bottom woman is as perfect as it gets. Such a beauty. And love the clothes.
Giovanna in wonderful!
Can someone tell me who this spectacular Giovanna is? Everyone seems to know her. Is she in the fashion industry? She looks stunning. Love everything she's wearing......
Thank you God! A Giovanna fix.
She is brilliant as always..... and nice Blackberry too!
The second woman reminds me of Audrey Hepburn. I have a necklace similar to the one she's wearing.
the second outfit with the skinny trousers, awesome belt and necklace is very lovely. However, the first outfit looks like she just rolled out of bed...it is a very bland and lazy look.
Giovanna looks gorgeously flawless, just stunning! And LOVE the first girls cardigan/coat!
Who is the woman in the second picture? She always looks fantastic...
The pants are amazing!!!
Oh my God... the second pic is wonderful. Such a good look - so elegant. I want it now!!
the top girl is waaay too cute.
the bottom one is...sexy!!
nice, the second woman is stunning like a gazelle
Giovanna, Carine, Anna, Franca... toutes mes divas de la mode! je vous aime toutes!
Giovanna, beautiful as always
gees.... love the cardigan...
This looks a little 'too long,' but otherwise, it's quite nice.
Well... the medallion..... A gift from Mr. T?
This is interesting, though. Looks like a lot of care was put into this, but the hair is so unfussy. Maybe that's what keeps it grounded and semi-sensible.
The woman in the first photo has such a beautiful smile... reminds me a little of the woman from Stockholm. I don't think I could pull off the chunky knit, though.
Ah Giovanna! She just can't put a foot wrong when it comes to style. She looks good in just about everything she wears....... then again with that figure I guess you could MAKE anything look good :-)
So jealous.
M
Love the sleeves on that sweater!
second is fabulous. lovely pants. i want them. gorgeous with the belt and turtleneck and big chain necklace and watch and shoes and hair and clutch. ugh i love it all. so chic.
I don't like that big sweater at all. Everything about it is too big: the sleeves, the width, ugh. Her *smile* saves that picture though :)
And oh how I love the second shot. The beautifully tailored pants. The ankle-height hem, and the perfect shoes. The oversize pendant. Elegant perfection.
It's funny... I love all of it except the little bag and the shoes. The shoes seem too *obvious* for lack of a better description. I think I'd like an interesting flat (she's long and thing enough to carry it off a la Audrey Hepburn) or something a little chunkier with a closed toe. As for gold and silver... I'm sure sure I care, but then I'll drink white wine with beef :)
I miss the shoes of the woman in the first picture, that would make teh picture perfect..
Ouch! Those waist height almost capri pants are not flattering. The tapered lower leg makes even the slimmest thighs look big by comparison. The whole look is just a bit too self-conscious. Everyone in the other photo looks stylish and relaxed - they've forgotten all about what they're wearing.
Was this picture taken along Via Manzoni?
Anyway, Giovanna always looks great. She can pull off anything.
First photo: People in the background interest me, maybe more than the girl & what she's wearing. But I love her smile. Second photo...Simply gorgeous!
Beautiful knitwear. Beautiful smile. I think I'm in love...
Gorgeous, Gorgeous, beautiful!
Now that ladies is what i called FIERCENESSSS!! Her body form is popping.
where I can find that cardigan in first pic??? I love it!
how cute! =D
Am I really the only one who does not like the second look?
The high pant and long necklace make her torso look about 2 inches long, the turtleneck gives her a bobble head, and the over all thing is just so PTA mom from the 90s done expensive. Awful.
The bulky cardigan I love. she looks so comfy and stylish. The lady with the high waist paint....chic! Love her whole
get-up.
giovanna is perfection : )
For those asking, Giovanna Battaglia is a fashion editor with L'Uomo Vogue, does some style consulting, and is a former model for D&G.
looove!
I'm more interested in the comment about mixing gold and silver. Hmmm..... I've never thought twice about it although from time to time I've heard someone, usually someone older (at least 60) or from the midwest or maybe from Orange County or Queens, mention it as a no-no. Kind of like making sure your bag and shoes or lipstick and nail polish "match".
If you really want to mix metals but are afraid you're committing a fashion faux pas, why not buy a piece that has both silver and gold. Then you'll have created a loop hole and you can go accessory wild!
The great thing about style is that there are no hard/fast rules that apply to everyone all of the time.
those slacks are unreal.
The grey ensemble is so chic. Love it!
Giovanna!!!!
Gorgeous knit in the first photo. I love to wear gray, it matches my hair!
To the person that said it must be nice to be this tall, skinny yada yada. Granted her body is great but it's actually the power of a great cut and fit of trouser. These pants rock because there high waisted which elongates any body, 2nd there straight stovepipe leg shows off the ankle which when worn with a highheel further lengthens the body giving a super slender appearance. This look is professional work appropriate without the boring wide leg cuffed pant that EVERY office women THINKS she should wear.
yikes! on the first outfit. It just looks frumpy to me. The sweater is kind of granny-ish in a bad way, and I am just not a fan of those pants. She is a gorgeous woman, and I think that outfit overwhelms her.
The second outfit is very chic and classic, but could use a little more spice.
i love it
I couldn't agree more with dyan, it's the fantastic cut and fit (and subtle pattern) of those trousers (and of course the heels) that make her legs look like they go on for miles! Beautiful. And the gold in the necklace (and shoes?) against the silver-gray of the rest of the outfit is just right. If, say, the watch was gold it'd be too much, but it's just right. Classic.
that cable knit, kimono sleeved sweater is pretty much amazing......
Giovanna is soooo great! I adore her
A very good showing of a difference in style; the other one's very lax and loose, and the second photo shows sharpness and more sophisticacion.
But I adore both outfits ! I love how the first photo reminds me of the cardigans my granny knit for me. And the second one's very reminiscent of the Sixty's !
Giovana's style is always perfect !
i absolutely love the figure of the second woman! Her trousers fit beautifully and work really read with those heals and poloneck.
The first girl has a really nice playfull smile which goes so nicely with the huge knitwear i love it!
Great spots!
Nicky X
Lovin the chunky knits, so very now! I'll be getting myself some of that action(purse strings allowing!).
That's got to be the largest cardigan my eyes have ever seen. You've got to be a rail to wear that thing, though. Otherwise, it would fit... and you'd look ridiculous.
perfect.
love the figure
yes, definitely, giovanna's style is perfect.
If my shoe eye is still working Giovanna's shoes are Lanvin.
Italians always with their cellphones!! hahahaha
She is on fire.
both of these are the graytest! gorgeous ladies pulling their outfits off wonderfully.
i was so excited to see these because I am wearing a giant knit sweater right now and champion them for their comfort, warmth, and proportioning magic.
equally a favorite of mine are high waisted gray check trousers. most people who see me in either- giant sweater or trousers- don't get it...but i am so glad these beautiful ladies do! gray is never boring when you do it right like they have...
Dont know which i love more...the sweater or that pants. Fabulous
I don´t like the oversize look. i prefer the second one!
1) Fresh faced woman. Genuine smile. This outfit works for her. I think because she kept thing simple. I do like her earrings which draws attention to her face and adds a bit of colour.
elegantemente ben vestita fine et sobria!!
Lady in Gray just proves you don't have to show too much skin be sexy. Love the whole look
Greyt pun and very cute gal.
