i like those long black dress. her nude make-up makes her outfit very sophistickated))) so she does not look like vampire!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:00 AM) :

the guy on the right seems to have really big feet. i don´t really like the proportions of his clothes eventhough i´m loving his face!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:11 AM) :

The woman on the left is the danish New York-based designer, Camilla Stærk.

Blogger Stratos Bacalis said ... (6:24 AM) :

The bag ruins the woman's outfit completely. The men are almost perfect.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:31 AM) :

matching contrasts personified - brilliant

dont like the boots, its gone too far now, all this xxl-stuff

this picture is allmost religious, non?

Blogger adictaaloszapatos@gmail.com said ... (6:35 AM) :

Love the look of the girl!

Blogger Papillon said ... (6:48 AM) :

awesome!!!!

Blogger Michael Rex said ... (7:09 AM) :

Yipes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:28 AM) :

ha - love the title - creatures of the night reign. Love her bag! nice that the only real color is peeking out of the jacket - this is one of my alltime favorite shots as the personalities all come through separately and as a total - GREAT PIECE

Blogger Dominica said ... (7:29 AM) :

I'm more into colours these days so I prefer the guy in the middle...love his shirt ; sometimes it's hard to find a nice shirt with detail for a guy...

Have you also seen his bracelet ?
Normally I don't like gold on guys ; but he wears is off with flair (looks like he really wanted it to show it to us, no ?)

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:42 AM) :

jjajajaja, I loved the title, jajajaja
Because they are stylish of course but they do look like a family of blood drinkers. I guess it's an optical effect of the dark clothes and how thin they are, but something makes them look unhumanly tall and misterious.
Did they attack you?

Blogger Siru said ... (7:42 AM) :

I'm gonna be a vampire for Halloween, this could be way to do it chic.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:48 AM) :

The woman's dress is stunning !
Great picture.

Blogger b said ... (7:54 AM) :

the way that dress hangs is unbelievable.
And love the layering in the middle!
They sort of look like they've been up all night...hehe.

Blogger mette said ... (8:21 AM) :

The woman is dressed in some sort of evening wear, the man in the middle has gathered interesting pieces of clothes. I don´t have anything to comment of the third person.

Blogger maggie_hogan said ... (8:23 AM) :

I love the details here- the small bit of gold on the man on the right's collar, and the way the woman is holding onto the man in the center... The way they are all standing, I think that perhaps they were very wary of having this photo taken...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:25 AM) :

This is wonderful. I was wondering when you'd find beautiful vampires... A perfect expression of the budding depression of the wealthy west. I love the way her skirt drapes around her leg like a curtain, but the master of the look is in the whole bodily expression of the guy in the middle. Beautifully captured, Sart!

Blogger Dan in Richmond said ... (8:46 AM) :

Before "The Rules" are invoked I have to say that I like the plaid and plaid here. The guy on the right I'll just say is an example of youth being the best accessory, not that that is always true by any means.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:03 AM) :

Wow.

This is my favorite of your pictures. I love the contrast of light and dark. Each individual exudes beauty.

Thank you.

Blogger Randy Wylde said ... (9:12 AM) :

Love the plaid shirt with the black vest and jacket; probably would have preferred darker denim trousers.

Blogger Thesen said ... (9:16 AM) :

I love Camilla Stærk. She is always so dramatic. Very Karen Blixen/ Marlene Dietrich

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:44 AM) :

Well...I love her look, total look in black with the hair thing...quite nice and the clutch looks great but the best one is the combination of tartan plus wales jacket and tom ford (¿?)sunglasses (love'm)

Blogger Katherine said ... (9:56 AM) :

I love it.

Blogger underneath said ... (10:03 AM) :

That must be the danish designer Camilla Staerk!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:04 AM) :

OMG! love this so much. Man on the right is perfection.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:24 AM) :

Simple black without accesories and make up, looks elegant and classy. Not quite vampire. Love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:25 AM) :

The most elegant and finest figure of the picture is the red man of the traffic light. Superb!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:08 AM) :

Velcro! Once i lerned how to tie my shoes velcro shoes went out the door. Haven't looked back since. Other than that he looks YUMMY.

Blogger Jimin said ... (11:17 AM) :

her dress is beautiful, but i am not crazy about the wearing many different black together.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:23 AM) :

I think images like this are what makes your blog, inspiring, for lack of a less pretentious word... Not because of a piece of clothing or a photo of the latest trend, but because in this image what really comes through is an attitude. When I look at this I think not of how could I take this shirt or that dress and use it but more if I were to dress this woman how would I do it and retain the sense of dark elegance, or the strong personality yet impression of awkwardness of the guy in the middle (body language here is amazing) and the guy on the right makes me think immediately of Nick Cave, and his look, to me, reflects a sort of nineties disaffeceted youth but done very clean and austere, perhaps a sign of times to come? This, although not my favourite photo, is why I come to your blog everyday.

Blogger May Kasahara said ... (11:36 AM) :

loving mr. middle man ♥

Blogger Kay said ... (11:45 AM) :

I love the way they wear the look! The guy on the far right particularly stands out. The shoes are kinda harsh looking and all straps contribute to a 'goth'-ish image but the slim simple silhouette, block colour and most of all his foppish hair make is sophisticated. What a brilliant group of people... such class.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:04 PM) :

The man in the middle is Victor Glemaud, he's a NY designer himself too. Loving the color contrast.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:10 PM) :

I see possibility bookended by two classic looks. Food for thought. I'm not sure what I think of the full-sized folk, but the little red man in the upper corner is definitely making a man statement.

Blogger Hannah Stephenson said ... (12:21 PM) :

So wonderfully weird! I agree with maggie_hogan about the gold on the man's collar...it looks like photo corners, actually!

And your title is perfect.

Blogger ZANA BAYNE said ... (12:55 PM) :

madam Staerk is such an inspiration to me...and her posse ain't so bad either!

http://garbagedress.blogspot.com

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:06 PM) :

the colors in this photo are unreal...the contrast...so great

Blogger a.v. said ... (1:56 PM) :

umm. the guy on the right is keegan singh. uber-stylist. he is always dressed like this. he only owns like 10 things.

Blogger Cate O'Malley said ... (2:07 PM) :

I just love her look and the story behind that sly smile must be a stunner. I like the bag.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:08 PM) :

Is the guy on the right a waiter? That's how all the waiters in my town dress. He's got a $200 hairstyle, though.

Blogger Demi said ... (2:18 PM) :

this is a fab blog...so inspirational!
could i link you please?
x

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:44 PM) :

I quite the like the gentleman on the right. I get a Neo-esque (from the Matrix) slash industrial vibe from him.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:52 PM) :

Camilla Staerk looks beautiful as usual. So chic...no? Je t'aime and so inspiring, well captured.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:47 PM) :

the guy in the middle is perfection!

Blogger CRF said ... (4:09 PM) :

Love the b&w blazer!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:39 PM) :

oh Camilla..
She is one elegant goth queen.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:56 PM) :

The gentleman on the right has some pretty large feet. The lady to the left is so elegant and other-worldly. The gentleman in the center has such a cool look, dig the frames and the shirt. Red crossing light man is at his usual best. Great picture, S.Sch.

Scott Schuman is even in wikipedia! Whatta celebrity!

Blogger JustaFarmKid said ... (4:59 PM) :

I dont even like the clothes but I love that you took one like this. Nice job on taking us away from the norm of fashion and bringing us to the edge!.... Its why i read your blog.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:04 PM) :

all black is way to severe, and does not even look that good.

Blogger Courtney Barr - The Southern Princess said ... (5:58 PM) :

love the title!
The feet on the right do seem freakishly large. Love the center gentleman's look.
-if this post more than once sorry - the verification is acting funny on my computer. :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:02 PM) :

Stunning! I am particularly impressed with the way I dislike most of the individual items that I can pick out on Mr. Middle, but love the combination. That is layering finesse, right there. I also love the way every aspect of the lady's styling has such character to it. Gorgeous! And the Mona Lisa smile, on top of all that!
I also like the group posture :D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:33 PM) :

I love the vintage Persol sunglasses. The man is the middle has the right attitude to pull them off. We've tried to put a few guys in them. But they have never worked as well as they do on him.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:56 PM) :

My problem with this picture simply is ... they all look so B O R E D

Blogger Noah Champion said ... (7:26 PM) :

The sunglasses as a direct juxtaposition to the pattern, color and texture of the center man's whole ensemble gives him the most palpable plaintive sense of collection.

Bravo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:10 PM) :

Would like to see some more eyebrows on her! The face is almost a bit too nude.

Blogger Morgan said ... (9:31 PM) :

They look like they mean business. The two on the sides look like the middle ones bodyguards. Don't mess with the one on the right (abnormally long reach.) And the one on the left seems like she'd be able to destroy you with her mind, or shoot lasers out of her eyes. Altogether a successful look for the one in the middle.

Blogger O!Lightning said ... (9:31 PM) :

vampires you nailed it. this gave me smile.

Blogger Ruffin. said ... (9:56 PM) :

The Middle sir's plaid shirt is from gap. i have the same one. sooo comfy

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:36 PM) :

i love the photo's composition! i also like the glasses the man in the middle is wearing...i like his posture as well. don't like the clothes (on any of "subjects") very much. but there is something very basquiat-est about the man in the middle.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:38 PM) :

Keegan looks like a young hipter-ish Frankenstein.
Modern, minimalist and gothic.
Quite nice

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:43 PM) :

vampires, scott?

no baby. i'm a connoisseur. maybe you should tune into True Blood.

Blogger Chi-Chi and the Greek Vintage said ... (12:22 AM) :

THE WOMAN IS IMPECCABLY DRESSED!!!

KILLER, DARLING!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:26 AM) :

i'm reading breakin dawn right now, so magine my surprise when i've seen this photo... congrats for your great job every day!!

Blogger architeria said ... (4:00 AM) :

i really love the title.
and the clutch bag that thelady 's holding.

i think she looks professional and intellectual.

agree with the above, the guy on the right side looks like he has big feet.. but he looks fashionable, way much better than those in 90210.

I m always fond of black and the middle man complete the whole composition of the stylish pic !
gorgeous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:57 AM) :

i love that pic! balck-white...the way they look at the camera...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:02 AM) :

The guy in the far right looks more like a vampire than the other two.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:40 AM) :

The guy on the right is Keegan Singh, the über-hot Manhattan-based stylist.... I adore him!
xo - HH

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:27 PM) :

from L to R, black clothing as:
1.a statement
2.an accent
3.a lifestyle

ps. love her glasses

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:09 PM) :

What a fab-looking trio !

Blogger Brian said ... (5:11 PM) :

Instead the "Mod Squad", they are the new "Alt Squad"

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:43 PM) :

the guy on the right reminds me of brian viglione of the dresden dolls!

love this picture.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:50 PM) :

I LOVE KEEEGAN

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:37 AM) :

The woman is the danish designer Camilla Staerk, who lives in NY. Check her out!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:01 PM) :

Questa foto mi fa impazzire

This pic drives me crazy

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:31 PM) :

I love that you included the red/pink tie on the traffic signal that visually links to red/pink in the middle man's shirt. Nice touch!

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:34 AM) :

The shoes on the right are really, really not doing it for me on figure, in this picture, although I liked them at Dior Homme

Blogger stick said ... (10:17 AM) :

...Victor...dashing as always...
-à bientot, Chouchou!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:20 PM) :

Looks like this should be the cover of their book. Perfectly constructed shot. The guy on the right is perfect!

I know this seems weird, but they all seem so unapproachable. Something about their stance, their clothes screams "don't talk to me". That's fine with me, though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:41 PM) :

Camilla Stærk looks so amazing. Love that she always only wear black, she is cool! Love her designs.
