Comments on "On the Street.....Streetwear, Milano"
soooo hot.
love it.
The shorts he is wearing are class, we are going to see allot of check patterns in the next year
your pointing out the tattoos makes me like his shorts more, but i think their color/pattern accentuates the fact that the shorts look like clown clothing. i would love to own these shorts in plain khaki.
love those vibskov "clown" shorts
I don't know if he does it all the time or not but of course you noticed. The matching does make the look. I'm not a huge fan of big baggy shorts but I like the little buttoned band on the hem of these. I wish the shoes were a little stronger and that his no-show socks didn't show but at his age who cares- it's all rather brilliant.
beautiful!
those shorts are fantastically good, if i had a pair of trousers in that fabric i may even be happy enough to consider the matching tattoo(!)
My standard for a look is, what will I think of this 5-10 years from now? I think the proportions of the outfit are great for the guys, but perhaps the construction and fabric of the plaid shorts are a bit exaggerated. I do like tattoos on trendy people, I think they look hot. Jorge from W Palm Beach
What a spunk!
summer in the city, fine
hot.
did you get a shot of his friend? I'm intrigued.
such a colourful tatoo :) i love it, his shoes and his shades :)
Agreed.
But the tattoo is really colourful anyway so it wouldn't be to hard to match it? Still very cool. I love it
Great picture, Sart! i love the unorthodox colours against the rather bleak walls. I'd lie to think he dresses like this all the time, those shorts are great, especially as they are like plus fours and have interesting pockets. His friends sneakers are pretty cool too, their colour balances the composition - neat!
the tattoo, the pants and shades... they go together so well. The shoes are a bit week though.
The macho attitude is great in combination with the colourful shorts. The same mix of hard and soft is to be seen in his tattoos. What really disturbs me, are the ankle socks, never liked them.
...and how the ink also matched his friend's shoes!
It was probably unintentional on his part, but visually pleasing nonetheless! And he's so yummy too!
Nice Kicks to the right. Thats how to coordinate tats to the shorts.
I like it, however I'm intrigued by the person who is standing next to him. What is he wearing?
I have to say, that is one INTENSE tattoo (and I speak as someone whose husband sports several insane tats, including one of a demonic-looking wedge of cheese brandishing a bloody machete on his bicep!)...
Great shorts, though.
I see guys like that at the corner in San Juan all the time. Looks pretty good. Thought guys.
Fantastic. Brilliant volume in the shorts, great shoes. The key with taming patterns is to keep it simple and that is exactly what this guy is up to. The white tank clinging to his phenomenal carriage ads the right amount of distraction from the gorgeous ink work and plaids.
Oh! His grey/blue shoes!
I wonder where he got that tat done...the color scheme is beautiful, even from afar. He should trade shoes with his friend, but I'm sure he didn't intentially match his shorts with his tats.
Am I going to be the only one to say "NOOOOOOoooo No tattoos. Ever". Not fun, not clever, not attractive. He'll regret them in 10 year's time - 5 if he's bright.
great look, that tat+plaid shorts. i like the fact that his grey sneakers play down his colorful shorts. i did like to see his friend's outfit though. his shoes has piqued my interest!
As an Italian, I am ashamed. I find such a look disgusting. The tattoos in particular. Italy needs some serious 'back to roots' campaigns. They must not be teaching history any longer; people have forgotten just what kind of beauty exists in Italy - Italian dressing style is but a reflection of this beauty at a personal and mundane level.
Oh, my! What is the other guy wearing from the waist down? Culottes? With some sort of bodice? I can't make it out entirely, but it looks over the top.
The tatoo goes really great with those shorts. But makes me think... When you get a tatoo like this, do you always have to wear matching colors from that moment on when its visible?
Shoes are in my opinion a miss though. While really pretty on their own the color combination doesnt work for me.
What a character! I dig his whole vibe.
You're quite alright, they match quite well and that might be the reason why they look good on him...that menas that he must wear every single day orange and red or a jacket, LOL!
I am still trying to figure out why I DON'T like monochromatic tattoos but am entranced by the full color spectrum ones. I like this tattoo but would not like it if it were just in blue.
Love this blog!
Pellegrina
I personally find myself wanting to wear things that show off/match my tattoo. So I would put money that he at least noticed.
The comment from Alessandro above is very intriguing to me in light of the kinds of looks we usually see on your blog from Milan - very elegant, very tailored etc. So on the one hand I can see how this kind of tattooed, slouchy, brash casual would feel like a loss of that traditional elegance, on the other it seems like a new kind of freedom.
I wonder if there are any tattooed elegant people in Italy? ;)
Love the shorts!
BTW - the guy in the back looks to be carrying a print bag, you can just see the hem of his shorts on his right leg.
if only he'd borrowed his friend's shoes he'd have the complete ensemble! Are those circus handbills he's hiding behind his back? t.x
and the last detail - is those shoes!
He kind of resembles Marc Jacobs, noh?
Anyway, cute tattoo. I like his shoes too.
I'm surprised no-one else has commented on his sunglasses. They're such a great shape for his head (sounds strange, but it's an important consideration when one is sporting little or no hair!), and they've got that cool retro 90s thing going on. The stubble's really working for me, too. It's also interesting how you've managed to capture a shot in which pretty much everyone around him is wearing all black. Nice one!
I like the other guy behind's coloured Balennciaga high-tops
--------------Who makes those light blue/grey shoes?
--------------Very interested in finding a set of these.
Thanks in advance to those in the know
i don't like tatoos but it looks great on this picture. the harmony of the colors i love it:))
Looking at him and his friend, I'd might as well assume that the photo was taken in Denmark, because it has Vibskov all over it: His shorts, his sunglasses and the friend's bag. And his shoes are Peter Jensen, no?
So Sart, aren't they tourists from Denmark?
Who could have guessed the Kevin Federline look would have inspired young Italians?
I don't particularly care for tattoos.
what I appreciate is your eye for sartorial art, in whatever form it may come in. nice work.
Oh. My. That is one gorgeous man I must say. Sart has captured a very tasteful 'streetwear' look and I'm glad. There are numerous hipster kids trolling around trying to look cool with their tattoos and kicks but you know what? Most of them look stupid. So thanks for showing one guy who pulls it off nicely and at least matches. We've all got time to be classy and elegant when we're older.
Does anyone know what kind of shoes he is wearing??? I want a pair. Halp!
The outfit of this guy's friend is very nice too!
Love his shoes and the guy's shoes next to him. Wished the streetwear style in my area looked like that.
They look like they're from denmark. At least the designer clothes they're wearing is. But that just makes them even cooler.
I think with the white tank top, the light blue shoes are appropriate and balance the look out. The fact that they are (seemingly) canvas and low top reiterates this all the more. If he were wearing his pal's sneakers, it would (unquestionably) be over the top.
He probably matches his tattooes with his shorts often, just because he may have one or two pair of shorts only. Young people in Europe these days are having a tough moment in terms of purchasing power and that is starting to show on what they wear. No need to say they can still look cool... but variety certainly diminishes!
SOOOO HOT
This is so far off of Kevin Ferderline... Mathias is right about the shorts and bag for sure though. They are indeed Vibskov. These two are likely Danish fashionistas with some cash to spend.
I think its silly to think that people would even think about 'matching' when it comes to clothing vs tattoos. But I guess for me, my tattoos aren't accessories. His piece is pretty intricate though. I wish I can see detail shots of it.
Hmmm... what a very nice topic to start the day. By the way, I was amazed by your thoughts.

Tattoos are now a very fashionable accessory.

I wish I could see a close-up of the tattoo!! I see butterflies in there!
This look is so fun...the shorts are great. And those neon sneakers on his buddy...wow!
The tatoo matched his pants very well.
grrrreat colours.
It brings to mind the famous retort made by Sir Winston Churchill; a woman said to him, "You sir, are drunk." To which he replied, "And you, madame, are ugly. But tomorrow I will be sober..." The tat and the trousers do match beautifully - and both will fade - but he can get rid of the trousers.
nice tattoo.
I am truly of the opinion that these guys do not intentionally coordinate their accessories!
This guy looks too cool for school!
They are from Denmark, both men's bookers at the modeling agency www.unique.dk
The guy in front is Peter and the shorts he's wearing are from Henrik Vibskov who shows during Paris Fashion Week. It's the same designer who did the tote back Jesper (the guy in the back) has on his arm.
Anybody know what his shoes are? I need need need them.
the red shoes~~
i want those!!
coool shorts. the socks make me sick. i liked this look a lot better before i read some of these comments and found out they are wearing designer. now i know it isn't thrown together but expensive and contrived and it makes me sad :(
haha fantastic. Love the matching
That comment about the tattoos matching with the clothing made me laugh so much Sart!
one gorgeous guy with great carriage. he makes all of it- the tattoo, shorts, shoes, shaved head- work.
oh, i thought his friend was a girl till i zoomed in. interesting outfit, looks sort of androgynous from here. would have liked to see him too.
Balenciaga stays failing in the shoe department- I didn't think anyone would buy those. FAIL.
very sexy. this is what we need more of! haha
yes please.
my future husband!
Love the shades! There is a similar vintage Dior pair at www.love-worn.com. These look like they're modeled on the old Courreges sunglasses though...
I really like the short is perfect and make contrast with the tattoos, a lot of color is amazing.. and the boy is beautyfull..
he'd be wearing the same pair of short all the time then ;)
it's hot.
i think i have developed the largest crush on this man in the last ten minutes of staring. (his tattoos are fantastic)
aside from most points of emphasis, the white tank top is my favorite aesthetic choice, as well as the simple shoes...i really adore his friends shoes. They both appear to be approachable yet spontaneously risky; the contrast would inspire me to converse with them...good job.
I have a tattoo in a wine red that can switch into a purplish shade, and I have a great time matching it with clothes, either by prints that match the design, or by colour. :)
