It´s actually almost too perfect!
If I didn´t believe you I´d think it was staged.

Great work

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:41 AM) :

prettier than the actual chloe ad

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:46 AM) :

What a wonderful photo!it's fabulous - you must have lightning reactions, Sart! I can't help but laugh with her. I love the way her long black cardigan really brings out the print on her dress and her bag and shoes are perfect together.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:49 AM) :

i adore her dress! the colours are amazing.

Blogger Gia said ... (8:50 AM) :

Blogger myarbor said ... (9:05 AM) :

when i look at some of the pictures that you post, i can't help but want to be that person for just a second.... they capture a moment of time and fashion that is irreplaceable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:07 AM) :

stunning!!!
she is gorgeous in that dress + cardigan.....and her Miu Miu shoes are the best
amazing pict

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:17 AM) :

This shot made me smile. A lovely woman having a laugh and looking great. She's awesome.

Blogger Helen said ... (9:21 AM) :

I love it! And love the black cardigan with the delicate dress

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:22 AM) :

Somehow what stands out for me in this picture is not really the dress, shoes, cardigan and the slightly visible bag (I think the whole look is very ordinary, personally I would have let it pass), but the capturing of the right moment, the right expression, something that isn't staged, is the saving grace.

Blogger stacy said ... (9:22 AM) :

a little more 'leg' never hurt any one of your shots... especially when they're as lovely as hers.

Blogger Guru T said ... (9:23 AM) :

Perfect in that split second!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:24 AM) :

sart, you capture the most perfect (and random) moments, its wonderful. looking at this brings a smile to my face, i love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:26 AM) :

i don't even notice the clothes - all i can see is that luminous smile. Thanks for making the morning special.

Blogger meredith said ... (9:45 AM) :

Absolutely charming!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:47 AM) :

that happens to me all the time when i´m wearing skirts or dreeses and i don´t have this classy-sexy way of holding them or this hair...
Beautiful! Shot of the year!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:47 AM) :

fabulous catch!

Blogger Jane said ... (9:53 AM) :

What a beautiful smile!

Blogger Sarah said ... (9:56 AM) :

I love how her reaction was so joyful!

Great shot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:20 AM) :

I love how her legs are posed and hows she's hunched and the way her hair moves and the excited expression! the shoot really makes her and the dress more lively. spectacular shoot! ^^ love the choice of sandals they seemingly match not only the the black long cardigan but also the lilac dress itself, she's wearing.

For the bag I think she could have chosen a better choice. say a black or gold glittery beaded evening clutch, instead? but that's just my opinion, overall her look is very flattering and is a breath of fresh air! ^^

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:20 AM) :

Indeed. It would've been fine originally - now it's one of my favorites!

Blogger JR + Isabel + Mariel said ... (10:24 AM) :

devistatingly happy!

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:30 AM) :

Fun Photo...I like the way she paired the shoes with the floral dress!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:31 AM) :

This shot embodies all I love about your photography: the idea that despite layers of makeup, perfect lighting, and immaculately chosen outfits, staged fashion can never compare to true beauty serendipity and a smile.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:38 AM) :

wonderful shot, as always, sart! you are so talented ... for me this page is 80% art/20% fashion.

that said ... oh my SHOES!! someone ID them for me! they are beautiful.

Blogger Michael Joseph Owens said ... (10:43 AM) :

This picture is the perfect antidote to the historical weight of this date. She is lovely, in same spirit as the Girl in Pink and Sandals from a few days ago. This shot reminds me of Garry Winogrand's series, "Women are Beautiful." Fantastic work, Scott! The bus was a serendipitous happening!

Blogger Emme A said ... (10:48 AM) :

Beautiful smile indeed. Beautiful legs. Amazing feet also. I want these feet.

Blogger Julia Blanco said ... (10:58 AM) :

it's that ANTICIPATION thing your work is all about again, but this time it happened by chance.

i LOVE the result!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:00 AM) :

lovely shoes too...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:08 AM) :

I adore the colors in her dress, and the black velvet coat looks great with it. My colors. Do want.

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (11:14 AM) :

I just love her laugh! Great moment!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:20 AM) :

WOW! So vivacious! If that was me, my hair would have been stuck to my lip gloss.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:22 AM) :

Wind; Movement; Action...The perfect angle of the building behind, with the bus running through in the back ground... the sweeping hair and the flowing dress harmoniously make this take breath-taking

Blogger La Clocharde said ... (12:19 PM) :

Great photo.
You can actually see the movement of the whole scene.

Blogger Alda said ... (12:21 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:53 PM) :

Isn't this great? When the world tries to blow your cool--LAUGH! She's a refreshing antidote to all those hunched-over, hung-over, sad-eyed moppets who take themselves SOOO seriously. Thanks for the laugh, Sart. She's a doll!

Marline

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:10 PM) :

Perfect photo. I agree totally with michaeljosephowens who said, "This picture is the perfect antidote to the historical weight of this date."

It is wonderful to see New York has regained its joie de vivre after the tragedy etched into hearts worldwide seven years ago.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:11 PM) :

Wow nice PIC!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:12 PM) :

oh my gosh. i'm happy just looking at this picture. nice moment. great look. love the sweater over the floral dress that's not too cutesy and the stripe on the shoe. love everything about the outfit and the shot. i'm going to have a good day.

Blogger Kay said ... (1:12 PM) :

i have no words to describe this photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:10 PM) :

Yes, buses whiz by every now and then. But, who would have expected that expression and the stance she has her legs in? It's an otherwise ordinary shot of a woman in a dress, but we can see her inner beauty.

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (3:15 PM) :

Look at her expression! Wonderful! Great shot! Looks staged but I can tell it's not.

Blogger CULTURE CREATORS said ... (3:15 PM) :

sure it's lovely, the buttons and playful throw of the head... but I'm feeling a little cheated. when were you going to tell us that you were posting twice as many pics on style.com as you were here? More power to you gig wise, but sheesh i just found out I was missing most of your Bryant Park shots.

was I the only one out of the loop, people??

Blogger Susie said ... (12:29 PM) :

Perfect its very rare in fashion that you see a model with a full face smile (yeah I know this isn't a fashion ad/editorial but it should be), eyes smiling and all. I don't know why they don't do that more often, it actually made me feel a really happy emotion, very few, if any, ad photos ever do that.

She looks filled with joy and its wonderful. It made my day.
