Comments on "On the Street.....Sixth Avenue, NYC"
It´s actually almost too perfect!
If I didn´t believe you I´d think it was staged.
Great work
prettier than the actual chloe ad
What a wonderful photo!it's fabulous - you must have lightning reactions, Sart! I can't help but laugh with her. I love the way her long black cardigan really brings out the print on her dress and her bag and shoes are perfect together.
i adore her dress! the colours are amazing.
perfect photo and she looks like a real model:)
Just...perfect!!
Shot of the year!
It is perfect indeed! The hair, the colors on the dress, the shoes.... That is a beautiful woman and a beautiful picture.
breathtaking. really cool shot
when i look at some of the pictures that you post, i can't help but want to be that person for just a second.... they capture a moment of time and fashion that is irreplaceable.
stunning!!!
she is gorgeous in that dress + cardigan.....and her Miu Miu shoes are the best
amazing pict
This shot made me smile. A lovely woman having a laugh and looking great. She's awesome.
I love it! And love the black cardigan with the delicate dress
Somehow what stands out for me in this picture is not really the dress, shoes, cardigan and the slightly visible bag (I think the whole look is very ordinary, personally I would have let it pass), but the capturing of the right moment, the right expression, something that isn't staged, is the saving grace.
a little more 'leg' never hurt any one of your shots... especially when they're as lovely as hers.
Perfect in that split second!!!
sart, you capture the most perfect (and random) moments, its wonderful. looking at this brings a smile to my face, i love it.
i don't even notice the clothes - all i can see is that luminous smile. Thanks for making the morning special.
Love.
fabulous!
Anticipation is a wondrous thing :)
The buttons on her dress are great.
Absolutely charming!
that happens to me all the time when i´m wearing skirts or dreeses and i don´t have this classy-sexy way of holding them or this hair...
Beautiful! Shot of the year!
fabulous catch!
What a beautiful smile!
I love how her reaction was so joyful!
Great shot.
I love how her legs are posed and hows she's hunched and the way her hair moves and the excited expression! the shoot really makes her and the dress more lively. spectacular shoot! ^^ love the choice of sandals they seemingly match not only the the black long cardigan but also the lilac dress itself, she's wearing.
For the bag I think she could have chosen a better choice. say a black or gold glittery beaded evening clutch, instead? but that's just my opinion, overall her look is very flattering and is a breath of fresh air! ^^
Indeed. It would've been fine originally - now it's one of my favorites!
devistatingly happy!
Fun Photo...I like the way she paired the shoes with the floral dress!
This shot embodies all I love about your photography: the idea that despite layers of makeup, perfect lighting, and immaculately chosen outfits, staged fashion can never compare to true beauty serendipity and a smile.
wonderful shot, as always, sart! you are so talented ... for me this page is 80% art/20% fashion.
that said ... oh my SHOES!! someone ID them for me! they are beautiful.
This picture is the perfect antidote to the historical weight of this date. She is lovely, in same spirit as the Girl in Pink and Sandals from a few days ago. This shot reminds me of Garry Winogrand's series, "Women are Beautiful." Fantastic work, Scott! The bus was a serendipitous happening!
Beautiful smile indeed. Beautiful legs. Amazing feet also. I want these feet.
it's that ANTICIPATION thing your work is all about again, but this time it happened by chance.
i LOVE the result!
lovely shoes too...
Keep on smiling, and the whole world smiles with you... beautiful combination cardigan/dress, lovely style
Cover photo I must said
quelle joi de vivre! I love it, the spirit is fantastic! And so are her shoes!
Marilyn!
I adore the colors in her dress, and the black velvet coat looks great with it. My colors. Do want.
I just love her laugh! Great moment!
WOW! So vivacious! If that was me, my hair would have been stuck to my lip gloss.
Wind; Movement; Action...The perfect angle of the building behind, with the bus running through in the back ground... the sweeping hair and the flowing dress harmoniously make this take breath-taking
Great photo.
You can actually see the movement of the whole scene.
Perfect! Enough said.
A beautiful uplifting photo for NYC especially today. thank you
such a sweet expression. anyone know where her sandals are from?
My my my...what a shot what a shot what a shot. I'm simply in awe!
awesome action shot!
I love how she's holding down her dress laughing embarrassed enjoying the moment, what a shot.
so pretty so city so new york
Isn't this great? When the world tries to blow your cool--LAUGH! She's a refreshing antidote to all those hunched-over, hung-over, sad-eyed moppets who take themselves SOOO seriously. Thanks for the laugh, Sart. She's a doll!
Marline
Hands down, favorite shot. I love all of your photos, but this one just comes alive for me.
huw lovely:)
nice shot! i wish i was like her charming when skirt blew up. i experienced it!:)
beautiful smile
This picture represents what I love about photography, fashion, and city living. You've done it again.
Perfect photo. I agree totally with michaeljosephowens who said, "This picture is the perfect antidote to the historical weight of this date."
It is wonderful to see New York has regained its joie de vivre after the tragedy etched into hearts worldwide seven years ago.
Wow nice PIC!
/Grettings from Sweden ;)
oh my gosh. i'm happy just looking at this picture. nice moment. great look. love the sweater over the floral dress that's not too cutesy and the stripe on the shoe. love everything about the outfit and the shot. i'm going to have a good day.
i love it! her outfit is put together really well, very sophisticated. the overall shot and individual pieces make it so fun and full of life though (:
Flaw-less
this is beautiful.
oh, I love that dress so much. I especially like the button details on the front. Beautiful cardigan, too.
it is perfect! all these fashion shots need more movement
Amazing dress (Chloé FW08) it looks even better in real life.
her smile makes the outfit! Great shot!
wow. it's just absolutely perfect here.
GREAT candid moment captured...don't you just love when that happens...well not when the wind blows up your dress but you know what I mean :)
Oh, brilliant.
Beautiful photo, Sart. The young lady in the pic looks so happy, and so charming, that looking at her makes me smile. Plus, I adore women in floral dresses and cardigans. Well done.
sweet
Så utrolig PENT !
: )
Elsker det bildet .
perfect perfect perfect!!!!
breathless...
i have no words to describe this photo!
Yes, buses whiz by every now and then. But, who would have expected that expression and the stance she has her legs in? It's an otherwise ordinary shot of a woman in a dress, but we can see her inner beauty.
Look at her expression! Wonderful! Great shot! Looks staged but I can tell it's not.
WOW those shoes are incredible and so is her energy. Lovely Sart...
xCC
I LOVE this.
Truly beautiful!
Speechless...
sure it's lovely, the buttons and playful throw of the head... but I'm feeling a little cheated. when were you going to tell us that you were posting twice as many pics on style.com as you were here? More power to you gig wise, but sheesh i just found out I was missing most of your Bryant Park shots.
was I the only one out of the loop, people??
i've seen and admired some of your best shots, and this pic is certainly among them. c'est magnifique!
WOW,
spontaneous
natural
beautiful
just how everything should be
Brilliant.
i love your blog
What amazing joie de vivre!
amusingly perfect!
like what you were saying earlier about waiting for that perfect moment... it's so natural and beautiful.
LOL. IT's perfect!
Great sandals too.
I'm in love
Cool shoes
This is why I love to look at your blog.
she's so cute! What a truly fantastic shot, Sart.
anticipation :)
This is just ... perfect. What a wonderful composition this picture is ! I am really impressed.
I love this picture. It captures a perfect girlishness and a moment of happiness and sillyness........sorry that's a lot of "ness's" for one comment.
It is so simple and yet perfect. You look at it and you wish you were there, feeling what she is feeling.
Thankyou for taking this picture and thankyou for transporting me away from desk for just a moment.
You have a knack at capturing great pics. You are prepared for the unpredicatable. Bravo!
Anticipation at its finest!
what inspiration.
oh that's just so clever and so happy all at the same time! t.x
perfick!
This is a fantastic shot.
Gorgeus picture, lovely girl:)
she has such a beautiful smile. perfect example of timing being everything!
Ooh! Chloe! You're right, this is a lovely photo.
Sart, you have really outdone yourself this time.
Wonderful! I love the dress, the photo, and the humor.
A similar thing happened to me waiting on a train platform last week and it was much less graceful and pretty looking. Cheers!
A great shot. Sort of takes the edge off seeing a picture of a carefree and glowing lady in NY on 9/11.
BTW - Love Lucia in that Seiko ad.
What a sexy babe
i wanna bend her over
This is my favourite picture of all time. Just so amazing...you captured the moment, the feeling, absolutely perfectly.
timing is everything.....
I just say WOW!!! What a picture. Her smile reminds me of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman wearing her red dress and R. Gere made a joke with the jewelery box :-)
Wonderful girl!!!
Awesome! One of those timeless pics likely to be a favorite for a long time.
Wow, that is one crispy clear shot. Good job.
Perfection. Brightens up any day.
It's absolutely perfect.
I'm loving this, yes, this is stunning!
Wow, what an utterly gorgeous picture! I think the shoes are from Aldo, though they may also be a rip-off of a higher-end brand. This is a link to a picture of the Aldo heels, sorry I can't do the html-y thing. This shoe is from 2006.
http://www.shoewawa.com/2006/11/aldos_gold_stri.html
I really like that I can almost imagine being there at that very moment, watching her grab her dress, throw her head back and laugh.
It's FANTASTIC!
Cheers♥♥
Beautiful shoot.
very natural!
I love her hair ! beutifull smile
Gorgeous...
looks remarkably like the chloe dress thats featured in the current ad campaigns..lovely. i especialy love the way granny cardigans are being worn by young girls. very "sexy librarian"
I can hear her laughing!
Just beautiful.
This is the shot that makes your job the perfect job.
Charming! Great outfit, great smile. Nice timing.
Perfect its very rare in fashion that you see a model with a full face smile (yeah I know this isn't a fashion ad/editorial but it should be), eyes smiling and all. I don't know why they don't do that more often, it actually made me feel a really happy emotion, very few, if any, ad photos ever do that.
She looks filled with joy and its wonderful. It made my day.
I love this picture. I can almost hear her laugh as the wind blew hew dress.
I call this a Marilyn Monroment.
I agree with pixie and others who have commented about her genuine happiness.
Oh, I loved it!
Been there..She looks lovely in that dress!
Brilliant! Such infectious joy! A modest Marylin. This shot goes beyond just documenting street fashion, it profoundly conveys a message.
great picture!
great picture!
yep, perfect. i love how she is using black to set off different accents and points of focus, the buttons, the stripes on the shoes and the very interestingly styled cardigan. beautiful and unlike the woman above in the red dress, utterly classy.
i hate to say it, sart, but these shots are starting to look staged.
this is so incredible, how do you even shoot things like this?!
You have very quick reflexes sart. LOL. AMAZING picture. Once I saw this, I found myself laughing with her.
I'm very late on this photo...but you nailed it, Scott.
This is one of the best shots you've ever taken. So much joy in this. Congrats!
VIVA ETERNAL WOMAN!
awesome outfit, awesome shot! her reaction is also priceless.
SHE LOOK LIKE CARRY BRADSHAW!
your best photo. Ever!!
She looks absolutely lovely!
I'm not a fan of the shoes, but otherwise the outfit is perfect.
this is amazing. great shot scott.
She's just so... gorgeous.
Perfect smile.
this what i call picture perfect!

xoxo

This is a beautiful shot. I like how playful it looks. Had you not mentioned the bus passing by I would have assumed she was having fun for the camera.

Gleeful surprise, done best by a woman...
What a pretty Chloe dress!
One of my favorites...how Carrie and SATC!
May very well be my favorite shot you have ever shown. Captures everything I like about your blog when it is on point... Spontaneous and Alive.
She just looks amazing. She almost looks a little bit like the actress that plays Betty Draper on Mad Men - only joyful!
i fell in love with this chloe dress when i first saw it on style.com... it makes me wish paulo melim anderson were still designing for them. his prints for fall were just amazing.
So Beautiful!!! So Happy!!
PS: I've got the same Miu Miu sandals (mine are silver!)
I think she looks like Blake Lively. Beutiful dress and photo by the way!
You're the best.Seriously,I love it!
i cant help but love her! everything looks so good when it is not staged, right time, right moment.
This is stunning. Real life is beautiful.
so gorgeous, she mixes florals with stripy shoes and a black cardi and looks like a model. Amazing shot.
One in a million shot, congratulations!
ha - wonderful. perfect timing.
Wonderful - thank you.
love the look of joy on her face. Gorgeous real life stuff.
You´re such a great photographer.
Just wow
Perfect! Again, I freaking love your work.
