Comments on "On the Street...Very Full Shorts, Milan & Paris"
The photo well-captures the style, and the style is horrific. The sneakers would be cool with trouser shorts with a 12 inch inseam.
Normally i hate the long baggy shorts, a look all too prevalent here in the uk, but you have found 2 very cool examples: the guy in the top photo works the proportion with the large spot jacket and matching his shirt and espadrilles so the shots aren't the main focus and those over-size gym shorts in the second picture (they look like our school gym shorts when i was in first grade..) are just wild!
I think the proportion is right in the first style, but the shorts themselves are rather disappointing. I would have liked very much to have seen the second style from the front. On a man of delicate and slight features, it would look stunning. A different pair of shoes would make it less schoolboy though.
the shorts in the top photo look like they are full of water ... ugh
I absolutely LOVE it! the prints, for confortable clothes... it all works perfectly...
Great for lads who just can't do skirts yet - very cool!
Does anybody know where I can find either of those Nike shoes?
Thanks!
The guy with the pillows is CUTE.
sorry but those socks are probably the worst ive seen. The Nike shoes arent anything special either. This shot was disappointing.
ALL.
I'm sorry, but "very full shorts" are CULOTTES. One step away from a man-skirt. No thanks.
I don't know if I'm comfortable pairing any kind of "sports" sneakers with non-workout apparel.
I love Charlie Porter's outfit in the first shot, and the shoes are wonderful. Strange accessorizing though with the pile of country house style cushions....
what shoes are those?!?
nobody knows the shoes yet? i'd really like to know the ones on the left, in the last photo, thanks.

Love the full shorts, very different and interesting for men. Very easy and casual.
Nice relaxed looks, but the most important thing is: Where can I buy these pillows ?
Awww....it's Charlie Porter....love him and his baggy shorts....
I like the way the man in the upper photo seems to pose, without posing, of course; I like the attitude that comes across.
Sorry, not my kind of style.
the whimsy of the double socks make me smile.
Jeffery Lebowski-chic?
i think the proportion of the second photo is not flattering (especially if you have skinny calves)...i would wear this pair of full shorts with a pair of boots for fall.
Fantastic outfits all of them, especially the upper one.
Both pair of shoes are Nike. The one on the left are from London and the right ones are from Dubai.
And the man with the shorts is my man!!
I don't like these at all. But then again I hardly like to see men in shorts.
I like the smart shorts look - nice and crisp. You had some really good examples here last summer. The slouchy shorts don't do it for me to the same extent. There is a bit of a sartorial confusion going on here, especially on the first pic. On the second pic the baggy shorts look a bit like a skirt but without the manly charm of a kilt or even a sarong.
I do like Charlie but I don't like the look - too many patterns, too many colours. Good as an example of 'not giving a shit attitude' but as an example of fine dressing? Not sure about it.
Potato sacks for shorts-very chic!
well, Thanks for all of your comments guys!!!!!
it gave me a good laugh anyway!!!!!
the baggy and easy short is from "Z" by Zegna amazing collection from Alessandro Sartori, the cotton navy jacket is from Ralph Lauren, the ugly socks as you said are from Uniclo!!!,and sneakers from Nike.
well, I'm not Charlie Porter,it 's just me and my man in Paris july 2008 at JPG show.
ah ah ah ah ah!!!! La fashion
xxxxx
Shoes in the first photo are Tom's. Cool shoes, v. comfortable, inexpensive, go with everything, and for every pair you buy one gets donated to someone in the world who can't afford shoes.
The pillows look like they're from Missoni home.
Buenísimos los tenis de la derecha, y como quedan tan bien con todo el outfit en general, se adaptan de una manera casi perfecta. Love love your blog!
First guy is adorable; fashion perfection without colouring in the lines.
Nice post you got here. I'd like to read a bit more about this matter. Thanks for giving that info.
