LOVE the colors...The length of the pants seem off...maybe different socks are required. But the mix of patterns is delicious and give me a blue velvet blazer any day.
I have mixed feelings about the look in general, something about the fabrics and their fit I think, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE those shoes!

OK, let me bitch first: I dislike ankle socks with anything other than sneakers when working out. That being said, this is quite an interesting outfit: the shoes have obviously been around for a while, and are of good quality; I like how the vest ties everything together and at the same time is the one item that has graphics that draw your eye. The mix of dress components (shoes, slacks), and casual pieces (t-shirt, soft jacket, handkerchief), and the vest which is in-between, make this look a winner, in my book! Nice gold cell phone! I can imagine---maybe---the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower on a pair of pajamas, but on a cardigan or vest, no. I do, though, like what he's doing with his neckwear.

yet again...the dirty shoes kill the look for me - worn out shoes are not refreshing or ironic...they're just worn out shoes.

Love the hanky in the neck and the glasses... Not so hot about the shoes. Also like the pants.
I think that this look is very close to being a success. Sticking with a palette of blue and white is a very smart choice when combining eclectic touches including a graphic vest, a bow tie (at least that's what it looks like to me) for a scarf, and seriously deep cuffs on his slacks.
His hair does a great job of conveying his personality.
But, I think he loses it from the ankles down. The black ankles socks and the spectator shoes push things just a bit too far. It goes from being "whimsical and daring" to being "uncoordinated and not caring".
I think that if this guy was wearing brown or black loafers with traditional socks that the look would be an edgy success.

Very dandified, indeed, almost to the point of looking like a costume -- really pushing that line. I'd like it better with darker trousers, still keeping the light-colored shoes and white shirt. The vest made me laugh. I want one.

I like his eyes too - off centre, off kilter, wayward... and yet perfect for the quirkyness of his expression and style.
He used to work at The New York Times Magazine, ages ago ... love the outfit.
I believe this to be mr Frans Ankone, 1 of the true nestors of the dutch fashion scene. Stylish and outspoken as ever!
yeah. i can see him wearing that. it fits his idiosyncratic personality. it's a bit of an embellishment though.

He looks pretty awesome; restrained dandies tend to be impressively stylish, as he is.
I like the vest, but those shoes are coming from left field (in a good way.) I also admire the break in the pants. It works for this particular outfit.

That waistcoat is something else and yes, those shoes are kickin' but what i really like is the jacket with the white stitching detail, all those interesting lines. Sart, your style radar is infallible...

Like the above fairy in the pink dress, I like seeing people dressed as if they had escaped from a book. It makes me want to comment whispering, as otherwise, my words might interfere in their life-novel.

Doesn't quite work from the calves down; too-high turn-ups, too-short socks and pasty ankles, and those shoes - ugh!
Top half, much more successful, there's a lovely wistfulness and whimsy in this look which is only partly spoiled by that boring t-shirt. Wouldn't a shirt with a collar work better?
A little white polish on those dirty shoes and the outfit would be perfect. So little effort required it's a shame he didn't make it.
Read the definition of a dandy an you would certainly agree that this person is not one his clothes SCREEM look at me the exact opposite of the term there is no quality at all it looks cheap yes he looks different but not Unusal especialy for Paris.Dandy specialy a Parisian one think Alex de Rede and you get the true meaning this is a trift shop jukie.

Magnificent! Every single item is so beautiful and unique on its own (especially those shoes); to see them all in one outfit seems like too much to hope for. Bravo to him!
Love the pants and adore the shoes. The vest is just a little too kitschy for me though! I find a motif of Arcs de Triomphe and Eiffel Towers a little tacky personally. I do like the monochromatic look though!
