THIS DOESN'T LOOK NATURAL. MORE LIKE AN IMPROMPTU PHOTO SHOOT.

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (9:48 AM) :

Love the jacket. Sharp and cute.

Blogger porter hovey said ... (9:49 AM) :

This girl is fabulous! Her silver shoes are totally out of this world.

Blogger Filomena said ... (10:02 AM) :

I like it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:03 AM) :

My goodness! Heehee she looks like she's jumped out of the Jetsons - I love it!

Blogger Dan in Richmond said ... (10:13 AM) :

The first thing that went through my mind was (singing) "...daughter Judy, Jane- his wife!". All she needs is Astro the dog!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:18 AM) :

oh my god, lt. uhura's (white) daughther has accidentally beamed herself to planet earth! someone bring her back to her natural environment (which can only be outer space), please!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:18 AM) :

She looks great, really like the touches of red - lips, nails, sunglasses.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:19 AM) :

Futurist, elegant and bon choix !

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (10:24 AM) :

LOVE! It takes some guts to buy those shoes, put them on and get out of the house in them and be confident! Great outfit, perfect legs, and those red sunglasses that are the one color that pops! I mean, let's face it, silver is basically gray. I have a pair of silver Prada sneakers that I wear from time to time, it is a nice crazy thing to do. Note how the outfit is so outre that the accessories are kept mi-ni-mal. Also like the fit of the navy polo on the man in the background. Jorge from W Palm Beach

Blogger The Spicers said ... (10:29 AM) :

Wow! Love the shoes.

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:55 AM) :

Well, I'll give her points for pushing the boundaries, but this outfit just looks contrived to me. When I look at her, I really believe that this outfit was designed solely for the looks it would receive, and the comments she'd get. To me, style should be personal, and for oneself, not purely as a costume to get other people's attention.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:59 AM) :

This is one of those outfits that you look back and say, "What was I thinking."

Blogger Den (næsten) aldrig forlegne said ... (11:00 AM) :

That jacket look fantastic on this woman - it goes well with the MacBook

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:07 AM) :

I love that you shot her in front of the silver motorcycle. It gives her futuristic theme more of that "oomph". A great way to create the illusion. Her shoes totally complete the outfit. Great photo, as always.

Blogger momo said ... (11:24 AM) :

I see I"m not the first to flash on the Jetsons! If you have legs like this, by all means showcase them!

Blogger mark s said ... (11:46 AM) :

she's illegally parked

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:55 AM) :

Long live space race.
Long live Molvania.

Blogger Serg Riva said ... (12:01 PM) :

She is blogging, non?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:15 PM) :

How unexpected, I love it!

Blogger Observer said ... (12:21 PM) :

This girl does not seem to be wearing a personal outfit. She looks like dressed to promote a product or receive guests in an event or something of the sort - a very usual practice in Europe.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:34 PM) :

she is so cute and clearly doesn't take herself too seriously. if she was wearing pants with this, i'd be disappointed, but teh skirt, silver boot, white coat combo is perfect.

Blogger Jake Troth said ... (12:34 PM) :

This is very pierre Cardin and i actually love the shoes she chose to go with it all. Though the fact that she is rushing and doing business on the side of the street isn't very flattering to me.

Blogger Karen said ... (12:55 PM) :

Well, it's interesting, I'll give it that. The jacket could actually work if it were paired with a straight black skirt or slim black pants. But with shorts and silver wedgie sneakers? Makes me think "Halloween costume" instead of "great outfit."

Blogger Cool Cal said ... (1:47 PM) :

An outfit which yet again belies the axiom that Italy is the cradle of good taste in fashion.

Blogger Silvia said ... (1:51 PM) :

Doesn't she look just like Emily from "The devil wears Prada"?
I really don't think that she was promoting a product or things like that. I'm from Italy, and, believe me, they really don't make you dress like THAT to promote something.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:19 PM) :

the jacket is great and her hair also ...
but what's up with them shoes? she looks like she juststepped down to earth from the "spaceship enterprise fashion week 2008"
beam her up scotty!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:41 PM) :

I can't make up my mind about it. I love structure in clothes, but I feel like this is verging on "costumey".

Maybe it's just because I'm partial to the past than to the future....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:41 PM) :

Proenza Schouler meets the Jetsons.

Blogger WendyB said ... (3:12 PM) :

I want those shoes.

Blogger Jennifer Camp Forbes said ... (3:32 PM) :

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Chanel boots!!

Blogger David Llewellyn said ... (3:48 PM) :

Not crazy about the shoes, but the blazer is a-huh-huh-mazing. Can a boy wear this? It's been my ambition for the longest time to dress as though I'm a visitor from the future. Fo' reals.

Blogger Cate O'Malley said ... (4:08 PM) :

I love the cut of the jacket and wish she was standing. The picture would be so much better if those ghastly shoes weren't visible.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:09 PM) :

she looks great. why can't fashion be fun too??

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:18 PM) :

For some reason I like this, and I know crap about fashion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:22 PM) :

Oh Brave new world, that has such people in it!

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:23 PM) :

not usually a fan of space age shoes but this girl is too gorgeous shes totally pulling them off, great shot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:33 PM) :

I love her jacket and her shoes! Would have gone for a different/slightly longer bottom though.

Blogger CULTURE CREATORS said ... (5:50 PM) :

AmaZING. Judy Jeston baby!:)Ahhhh and those shoes!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:50 PM) :

not for me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:11 PM) :

Ha! I think this picture is funny! Her outfit is so costume-ish yet she is sitting there looking stern with perhaps important work that couldn't wait. The shoes look like they need to be worn every day with every thing! As for the jacket, just as someone mentioned above, it looks like a uniform for the show room of a slick product... or orbit gum..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:59 PM) :

How do you do this, Scott? Did you happen to see a sleek bike and thought, "I'll look for a subject with a space-age style outfit.", Or, did you see her and looked for a matching bike. Or, was the bike hers and then you just found yourself a serendipitous shot. Seriously, you find the best backgrounds for your subjects and I find myself curious about your process.

Blogger Ryan said ... (7:57 PM) :

She looks awesome! I would love to see her standing up. Her silver peep toe lace-up booties are sick. The white jacket is beautiful and futuristic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:29 PM) :

Love this, it's fun and has an adventurous feel to it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:36 PM) :

Awesome. Only a fashion writer could get away with it, but it's fab - love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:15 PM) :

Well... At least, she uses Mac.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:28 PM) :

I love her spotless white jacket and the filthy bollard she's sitting on.

Blogger Jeanette said ... (1:37 AM) :

is the top YSL ?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:40 AM) :

work those shoes!! i love the summer suit. BUT.. i wish she wore maybe a tight gold or silver skirt along with bright metallic shades. that's futuristic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:58 AM) :

jacket or shoes are both fine on their own, but together the look is just too much and screams "look at me, i work in fasssssshion."

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:59 AM) :

LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the jacket! Where's it from? She pulls this look off impeccably. I'm loving the hair and the Lolita apple red colored glasses...very fab. :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:09 AM) :

all i can say is: very VERY brave.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:32 AM) :

it's not just the outfit but the motorcycles behind her and the laptop and the hair that make this so perfect. But i think what works best is that she isn't looking at you for a portrait, so it looks like you've captured the future.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:09 AM) :

The shoes are very space-age; I love them.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:42 AM) :

Lovely jacket. I really like the quality of the material - it looks soft but holds the shape. And the belt is great too. The whole look is quite unique. Very inspiring. Thanks!

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:44 AM) :

Is it wrong of me to find this photo hilarious? Oh to work in fashion when I could wear an outfit like this and STILL be treated seriously.

I do like her hair do very much - sleek but not severe - nice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:58 AM) :

The Italians seem to be obsessed with silver shoes at the moment ... and I've seen them popping up in the UK too ... on men.

Blogger InStudio Blog said ... (8:43 AM) :

She looks like a celebrity model(Dianna Krall) who just appeared in the runway show of her friend Judy Jetson's '09 Spring collection. Fun photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:02 AM) :

I think the outfit, especially the YSL jacket would look much better composed and would work better if seen while standing and moving around. Good use of accessories! Love the look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:47 PM) :

Love this look... right up my alley!

Blogger Myriam said ... (4:03 PM) :

I love the jacket AND the shoes. Amazing

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:45 PM) :

One word: HOT.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:23 PM) :

wow this is great, such a juxtaposition!! love the blazer.. maybe this will be the corporate wear of the future? haha the shoes may be a health and safety hazard, though

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:50 PM) :

Umm,...o.k. Sort of a Judy Jetson/Thunderdome vibe going on here. Is that a skirt or hot pants under there? Either way, eewww. Is she contacting the mothership for a pick-up?

Blogger SUNNIVA said ... (4:58 PM) :

Oh dear, she is so clever!

live life, have a bless.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:56 PM) :

I applaud this woman for pulling off such a stunning outfit in public! The Margiela futuristic jacket paired with the metallic stacked space age-y boots is forward thinking! Also, the way she has her done is the perfect antithesis for her statement-making jacket and shoes. She looks straight out of 2035! Just fab!

Blogger Rebecca said ... (3:13 PM) :

When I first saw this I liked it, but on the 2nd look, I don't like how the shorts or skirt are so short. I mean, I agree she's keeping the accessories subtle and that's a good thing, but I wonder if the shoes plus the very short skirt or shorts plus the angular jacket is just TOO MUCH. ALL AT ONCE. I think I'd have to see her standing up to really know, though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:06 AM) :

fine I guess....can't stand the shoes/boots.

Blogger Jeffrey Byrnes said ... (3:08 PM) :

I like how the scooter in the background ties in together with the shoes and creates a subtle contrast, had the scooter been white or red it wouldnt have made such a uniformed composition. Splendid shot.

Everything goes except the bottoms had to be something different.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:09 PM) :

Duct tape shoes and a "high fashion" personal flotation device. Yuck!

Blogger graceagainstthemachine said ... (8:20 PM) :

she prolly working on some matrix-job.
the chanel booties look great on her.

Blogger Schmanna said ... (4:59 AM) :

wow perfect picture alltogether imo. the motorcycles (esp the blue one) in the background, with her whole look and her macbook. I really love the sci fi feeling of this one! surreal

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:16 AM) :

love the combination of the laptop + the shoes.
