Comments on "On the Street.....Layered, Paris"
Love the layered look of the outfit, but I don't think the shoes go with it at all. Maybe in a different color or pattern?
a canvas...a flag...she is a story..effortless comfort and charm..I imagine her home.....her surroundings
I love the shock of red among the blue, but for me it's the expression that makes the photo!
LOVE. I want to think that she agrees with me that red is an accent color- when someone wears all red, it can be very look-at-me. I like that the red skirt is like a happy ending to more sober pieces (ok, the navy skirt not so much). I know some people won't like the shoes, but again, it is a sober ensemble capped by a touch of red. Great job, and nice pic! Jorge from W Palm Beach
I love this Comme des Garcon's skirt!!
love the whole look hair, shoes, layers, colors... thanks for the individuality!
This foto proves that a woman can look very feminine with flat heels and short hair. She also looks capable of accomplishing other things besides looking stylish.
Navy, white and red are so great together with touch of black.
Love the outfit but hate the shoes.
I'm going to have to go ahead and agree with Filomena... to an extent. I think the outfit works, sure, but is almost too simple, or outdated (maybe?). Maybe I'm mistaken... either way, the point of this comment is the fact that the shoes are horrendously clunky and don't fit well with the rest of the outfit.
The socks! The shoes! Please, they're ghastly. But the shoes could work OK if she'd worn a patterned sock.
This is another instance in which I have to wonder if age plays a part in how well received this outfit is. If she were 65 years old in the same outfit waiting at the bus stop, would you have given her a second glance?
Such romantic moods this outfit inspires - very haptic
Beautiful photograph. This one is about the woman, not the clothes. She looks like an interesting person; I'd love to buy her a cup of coffee and hear about her day.
It's possible in this case that the photo perfectly captures what charm there is in both the woman and the outfit. It might not be so apparent if you just past her on the street, but it's the way that you have caught her that conveys how delightful what she's done is. Maybe it's the tweak of her mouth, which makes her look impetuous and quirky, echoing her red skirt beneath.
The look is okay (we won't even talk about the black socks!). I think that if she eliminated the second red flounce, the skirt length would be very flattering for her. I do like her hair, very chic in a retro sort of way.
Love it all. The red accentuates the rest of the outfit and it stands out perfectly. luvely!!
I love her adorable expression and the unique outfit, but those socks + shoes need to go. ^^;
Her face is totally the best part. Although she does look darling.
This wouldn't work on most people, but she pulls it off beautifully.
She's so unexpected. You see her standing there, some might not like what they see but she embodies this look + it whispers + screams. I'm rooting for her to always be her!
Inspired by her example, I went shopping yesterday and bought myself a pair of black ankle socks. A hair cut is still under consideration.
Love, love, LOVE that layered skirt! The hint of red at the bottom is so surprising and just pops against the navy blue!
Ach! She's on hold, isn't she? Waiting - waiting for someone to answer the phone.
This look is perfection. Without the shoes & black socks (and her haircut, too?) this look might be precious.
Very thoughtful -- yet not labored or belabored.

Oh, come on! If you take away the socks and shoes, what would stay? Would you like to turn her into a conventional girl?
Well, she is "effortless comfort and charm"; her beautiful expression could be taken as a reaction to some comments. Everything is ok: it is because it is so individual that so many of us wouldn´t fortunately wear the same stuff.
Kisses
tres comme des garcons! from the head to the shoes...luv it!
She has the same bad habit as me... biting the inside of her cheek while she sits on hold! Adorable girl, adorable outfit.
i'm with anonymous...the shoes make the look, and make it individual. if it were up to some people, everybody would look exactly the same...boring!
just: YES. yes yes yes! Love the contrast and the facial expression is a gem.
