I love her actitud, and her dress!!
So femenine and nice!!

Blogger Diana said ... (5:31 AM) :

Effortless, down-to-earth, pretty.
Exactly that´s how it should go.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:33 AM) :

A lovely dress.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:36 AM) :

Very french indeed! I'm there on a regular basis and this is really a typical look. Only that usually the girls tend to wear flat sandals.
Anyway, beautiful girl, and the colour of the dress matches her type perfectly. Love the picture!

Blogger Poochie said ... (6:50 AM) :

That is just a great dress. Perfectly showcases how simple and amazing a good dress can make you look.

And I'm really liking navy and black paired together. It's subtle but works. And looks classy.

Luv
Poochie

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:55 AM) :

Lovely :)

that color makes me feel cooler.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:17 AM) :

I like the translucent sleeve with the tied knot, and the pattern is lovely too, how it goes from straight across to diagonal further down the dress. The length seems just right, too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:21 AM) :

This hit me straight into heart. Everything is just perfect. This would be the dress of my life. Even the pockets are there! I love her little heeled sandals much better than completely flat ones. Nice to know, that someone owns the perfect dress and wears it a lot, I bet!

Blogger Merry Widow said ... (7:57 AM) :

I want this dress so badly, it would really cheer me up!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:02 AM) :

Very french, beautiful picture, nice dress, the shoes, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

i think this is my favourite outfit on your blog so far! I love that blue, and the dress is gorgeous! do you know where it's from, if so can you say so in the comments section of this photo? and the black chunky necklace adds a nice flare to the whole outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:33 PM) :

I love that the heel on her sandals is not too high, and yet she doesn't look matronly.

Blogger Jourdan said ... (12:57 PM) :

This dress is just perfect--where can I get one, is the real question.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:27 PM) :

I love how the shoes make her look barefoot till u look closer.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:29 PM) :

oh, wow.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:36 PM) :

effortless perfection. i love everything about this dress--the color, the belt around the waist, the translucent cap sleeves.

Blogger Jingie said ... (1:44 PM) :

her hair colour goes really well with the dress!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:49 PM) :

The dress is lovely but the awkward heels could go.

Blogger Elizabeth said ... (1:50 PM) :

Not sure what age she is,but when I was living in Paris for two years, I noticed that the girls in their late teens and early twenties seemed to wear very muted clothing and not these cute dresses. Mostly gray black ,and other muddy colors.

Blogger Lenoxave said ... (2:06 PM) :

She's charming and the blue is gorgeous.

Blogger Lou said ... (2:13 PM) :

A stunning dress and a perfect example of one garment chic!

Blogger Natalie said ... (2:18 PM) :

She is so lovely! She looks very airy and fragile in this dress. Blue goes very well with the color of her hair.

Blogger Mary Jane said ... (2:36 PM) :

That dress is the kind of colour I'd follow for a block or two if I glimpsed it on a crowded sidewalk. That blue is so refreshing, and the light sleeves are perfect for those of us who are a little heavier in the upper arms.

Blogger Kwana said ... (2:38 PM) :

I love everything about it. It's so breezy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:51 PM) :

She looks very charming.

Blogger CULTURE CREATORS said ... (3:08 PM) :

pretty. Great fit!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:17 PM) :

I love the dress - it looks comfortable and so pretty. And it has pockets - j'adore! Plus, this shade of blue looks gorgeous with her red hair!

Blogger jbuckhouse said ... (4:03 PM) :

When a dress is in motion, it is a promise.
When a dress comes to rest, it is a corpse.
Let us hope she was moving, even the slightest
amount, while standing there texting into her phone.

Blogger FASHION CHALET said ... (4:04 PM) :

fab dress!!
I love blue right now ♥

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:07 PM) :

::gasp:: Gimme that dress!

Blogger Maggie May said ... (4:11 PM) :

simples summer perfection.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:14 PM) :

I love her look. Natural. Feminine. Easy. Lovely!

Blogger Nadine said ... (5:06 PM) :

Gorgeous dress. Just lovely.

Blogger alex said ... (5:09 PM) :

Lovely dress

Blogger Karen said ... (5:33 PM) :

Cute in a girlie-girl sort of way. Nice blue, goes well with her coloring, reeks of fresh spring weather and all. Not something to wear to the office, but fun for the young.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:36 PM) :

Fantastic! The dress jumps out at me more than the woman in it. Beautiful blue. Anyone know the dress make?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:04 PM) :

That's a really nice dress.

I'm happy that I have a similar one.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:13 PM) :

The lady appears to have an effortless beauty about her. I have found my summer inspiration.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:29 PM) :

Except for the sheer sleeves, this is perfect. I love how it's cute and retro, yet not too overtly so. ^^

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:47 PM) :

so effortlessly beautiful. the blue of the dress is just gorgeous and it contrasts so well with the girl's red hair.

Blogger Terren said ... (10:32 PM) :

i love how the dress drops right to her knees. it looks like it was tailored to her exact proportions. the sleeves, the hair, the necklace, and the fact that the dress has pockets, pushes it right to the edge of being perfect.

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:51 PM) :

This is a dynamic and happy color and the simplicity of this look is quite a contrast to the usual of sky-high heels, and oversized handbags.

Nice that this dress has pockets.

Blogger Shopaholic D said ... (11:03 PM) :

this look is so airy and pretty. i wonder where her dress is from?

:) D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:20 PM) :

I love that she almost looks barefoot in this picture. It looks like a very classy dress that you can run around barefoot in. Best kind :)

Blogger jennifer. said ... (11:22 PM) :

Gorgeous! Extra points for the pockets on the dress. If there's one thing missing from dresses nowadays, it's more pockets.

Blogger John Danner said ... (11:36 PM) :

Adorable dress.

Blogger aviewaskew said ... (11:51 PM) :

a romantic look just makes you wonder who or what she is focusing on...nice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:17 AM) :

Lovely combination of hair and dress colour. Charmingly feminine look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:19 AM) :

i love the pockets.

Blogger anonymous said ... (2:14 AM) :

Charming! Sart, all your pictures are great, but I'm particularly partial to ones like this, full of bold solids. They're always so striking, and this young lady is no exception.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:19 AM) :

not fascinated at all ..... its a nice dress but thats all .....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:08 AM) :

Lovely dress. I love the pattern in the fabric and the translucent sleeves... but the sandals have to go!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:56 AM) :

Gorgeous, and a very simple and nice outfit (you know, no ultra-high heels or super-cool haircut) just a really nice dress in a really nice colour.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:38 AM) :

Thank you! Finally, a dress that is not black.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:13 AM) :

really love the swirl patterns on her dress that creates the crinkle effect........gorgeous dress.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:18 AM) :

Wow, this is the first polka dot dress I actually want. Gorgeous. I need me some navy blue!

Blogger Miri said ... (8:38 AM) :

that dress is amazing... the simplicity of the color and that natural pose on her... perfect...

the only thing i can't stand are those shoes... any other color would have been better....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:40 AM) :

where is this dress from?? I love it

Blogger Chica eléctrica said ... (11:08 AM) :

i just love this blue dress. perfect.

Blogger Coryn said ... (11:35 AM) :

love.

Blogger Tiffany said ... (11:40 AM) :

Beautiful, almost like a scene from a movie. I want her dress!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:57 PM) :

Whatever she paid for that dress, it was utterly worth it.

Gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:06 PM) :

Beautiful dress, especially for a girl of her colouring. I like how she looks totally at home in it--no self consciousness at all.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:43 PM) :

lovely dress!!

Blogger Scot Meacham Wood said ... (4:54 PM) :

firstly, what a great summer dress. It just sings of freshness and joy.

secondly, what a great shot. The contrast of the lovely fluid textile and saturated colour against the cool stone backdrop is breathtaking.

I wonder if she's texting her friends to say that this guy's trying to take a picture of me . . . lol.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:47 PM) :

gorgeous color. i love the tie around sash belt and the deep pockets as well.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:50 PM) :

She looks great, aside from those bloody beads. I hate the way necklaces like that just bombard all over otherwise lovely, thoughtful ensembles. Love the blue with her coloring though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:28 PM) :

Lovely with her hair and I agree something about her feet and the way she looks barefoot is super charming. But one comment: that dress is cobalt, not navy-- totally different!

Blogger Rachel Anderson said ... (11:08 PM) :

Yowzers! *Love* the dress. Call me old-fashioned but I love dresses that pull off pretty and modest at the same time.

Blogger Hin Who said ... (2:15 AM) :

Arguably the loveliest dress I've seen.
Then again, I'm a guy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:45 AM) :

This outfit can do without the shoes and the necklace. Pretty blue dress though, which looks even prettier with her hair color.

Blogger Angie said ... (6:20 AM) :

I disagree with the negative shoe comments. I feel they are a perfect understated accessory for such a whimsical dress. It really does look like she's barefoot, and the height of the heel is refreshing.

Blogger midcitiesmama said ... (8:34 AM) :

It looks a little like a dress from Calypso Christian Celle-- yes?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:52 AM) :

This is such a pretty woman, in such a pretty dress... everything there is lovely. So simple, so unsophisticated yet so elegant. Really, really stylish!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:39 PM) :

love the dress - and it has pockets too!

Blogger Emi said ... (4:02 AM) :

Oh that dress...perfectly pretty. Love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:42 PM) :

i enjoy the cut of the dress, but i believe that the sleeves might benefit to be solid, not see-through. I think that the belt and the ties at the end of the sleeves are nice details. the chunky necklace is a fabulous accessory that compliments the outfit perfectly. the shoes seem to be the right style, but i can't tell about the color.

a nice outfit, to sum it up.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:17 AM) :

This has definitely inspired me. I love this shade of blue and have much the same shade of hair and figure as this girl. I'm due to expand the dresses in my wardrobe this summer and feel confident that this is something I could pull off! Thank you Sartorialist!

Blogger Jenn said ... (10:06 AM) :

I LOVE this. Enough said.

Blogger Alicia said ... (11:30 AM) :

The only thing I don't dig about the shoes are the ankle straps. I love the full skirt balanced against the floaty sleeves. As a wearer, my only concern is that the ties would prevent me from wearing a cardigan, which I think would look great with this shape.
I wish her hair was pulled back a little more loosely to show off its texture.
The blue is great with her skin and hair. I want one. :(

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:05 PM) :

She looks absolutely amazing!
the blue tone matches her skin tone perfectely...
love the look...

simple as it can be..a dress..but so nice and fashion...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:57 PM) :

Somebody must know: where does this fabulous dress come from?!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:46 PM) :

The perfect dress for summer: flirty, and delicate.

Surely SOMEONE knows where this dress came from, right? Please tell us!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:03 AM) :

I gasped a little. That's such a great dress that I imagine she'd look amazing even if she weren't so pretty!

Blogger Pippa said ... (9:48 AM) :

like everyone else i want that dress.
but only if i can look like that in it!!!

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:09 PM) :

adore the dress, and what a lovely photo! great contrast. she looks in her element.

Blogger Mr. Rover said ... (1:55 AM) :

Great photo- I love the contrast.
I fell in love for a few minutes when I saw this photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:21 AM) :

Beautiful dress, as everyone else has said already, it is almost the perfect dress, lovely silhouette and it has pockets! (I am definitely jealous and definitely would LOVE to find something similar!) Personally, I would team it with different shoes (maybe red), but it still looks amazing.

Blogger erin nuts said ... (5:54 PM) :

the pocket is perfect. and I like that she doesn't have a bag.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:02 PM) :

i love dresses with pockets! what a wonderful and useful invention! :)) my kind of thing ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:48 PM) :

classic not contrived...love it. the shoes dont photograph well though- they blend in to her skin a little- maybe better in person?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:11 PM) :

The new Carrie Bradshaw!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:42 PM) :

How could one not love the dress? But the sandals are unfortunate, especially in a season where black strapped sandals, either flat or heeled, are so readily available and would team so well with the chunky black necklace.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:26 AM) :

Lovely...wonderful....perfect!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:33 PM) :

this girl looks way too smart and chic to watch sex and the city.

Blogger Hello Pineapples! said ... (1:09 AM) :

What a fantastic dress! I love every thing about it. And it's a fantastic photo.

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:42 PM) :

i would kill for that dress, a classic feminine cut but with unexpected details! i love it!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:15 AM) :

This is the type of photo that makes all girls want to go live in Paris and that once they do they will become effortlessly stylish.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:12 PM) :

this is my ideal ensemble! so girly and cute! not overdoing it!
